If my Husband had to pick a place he could live in, it would be this one. Hes there atleast 3-4 times a week and knows many of the folks that work there. Home Depot has everything for our home needs and the employees are very helpful when you have no idea what youre doing. Their Garden department is full of a great variety of plants, flowers and yard needs and if you purchase a torn mulch bags, theyll give you a discount.

I been going to this Depot for ~10 years. It has been good quick for everything from landscaping to small projects.Typically I goto one in Ashburn, VA and very used to no service with people avoid you.Today we visited Depot in Leesburg and what a difference. Store is very welcoming, people are customer service are willing to go extra mile. Even cashiers went out of their way to help. Once done, volunteered to help load few hundred LBs worth of tiles.Even with Leesburg is 10+ miles away, I will be going there over a local HD less then 1 miles away.Way to go Leesburg Home Depot employees.

I was searching for a shelving unit. My mind took me back to one I use to own which was great and sturdy. It can hold a lot of weight. I was hoping to find one like it or close to it. I had gone to a couple of places. My niece joined me in the search and I discovered that the prices were the lowest at Home Depot. I headed to the Leesburg store straight away. Everyone was busy. That store was big and fully stocked. I asked for directions and proceeded to that section. I was grateful they had a riding chair. I looked carefully. Lo and behold, I saw the shelf I used to own. What I really liked, they had display models. I saw a gentleman/employee named Paul and I asked for assistance. He was very nice and happy to be of service. He was on his knees searching. Looking behind other boxes. Finally, he took out a hand held device to do a deeper search and found the 5 Shelf HDX Utility Storage Unit. Each shelf holds 350 lbs with a total weight capacity of 1,750 lbs. I wanted to purchase two. It involved getting the forklift operators into action. Paul was kind and directed me a safe place to wait. It was worth the wait. They secured the area and did their jobs.Paul got a cart, put the items in, I followed him to the register, the cashier took care of me, and the outside attendant put them in my car. Thank you Paul and everyone at Home Depot who made it possible for me to have an over the top, above and beyond shopping experience. There was a LOT of hard work involved. I am a grateful and HAPPY customer to get one of the best shelves ever!

Horrible shopping experience again at this place. Employees looked at me as if I was bothering them and talked, lets say, poorly about me behind my back when they didnt help. I asked for outdoor carpet with three employees at the desk, first saying it was down that aisle where there were none then I saw it on the big rolls behind them where they had to cut it, they actually had to get up to help me, can you believe that? They would not cut the size I needed but said there was cheaper pieces already cut over on that aisle, I again went over there, and had to come back to the desk again and one of them took me to the front of the store where there was a random rack if precut carpet, pointing to the other side of the rack she said its right there. I went around the rack and had to move a ladder to get to the cheap pre cut carpet. She actually got mad that I moved the ladder to get to the roll she pointed out. It was indeed cheap carpet and I refused it. I left and went to Lowes and got the rest of the things I needed and gave them a five star rating for their great service. By the way, she took that cheap roll of carpet and put it in the aisle where they said it was twice so that they could fill the empty rack.

I was looking for shims to level out two dressers because the drawers wouldnt stay shut. The floors of my apartment are not level at all. I tried some cardboard, but that didnt work. I dont have the equipment to make them myself. After walking around for 10 minutes, I asked an associate. He was so helpful, and he walked with me to the right place. He showed me all the options as well. And he didnt talk down or patronize this 69 year old lady. How refreshing!

Too much cheaply made stuff from China. For example, Hyde paint tools, 5 in 1 tool. Chinese made tool rusted very quickly. Get more American made stuff, willing to pay more for quality, you get a higher sell price- more revenue, we get better quality and keep our people employed.

Im writing this review in leiu of a customer service survey because of an incident that I witnessed today (10/31/2020). A few years ago, I was unfairly demoted because of Karens behaving like this, and I dont want to see it happen to anyone else who works in customer service.Today I was at the customer service desk, picking up two seperate orders of cans of paint. In spite of Covid, the line was fairly short and it was obvious that the employees were working hard to meet customer demands.ENTER KAREN. This short, brown haired woman has the look of someone who has never been told no in her life- those of you who live in this area know what Im talking about- the stay at home mom with the rich husband who hasnt worked in 20 years, much less in customer service. Shes in front of me, and I honestly didnt notice her until she started snapping at an employee (Natasha) except for the fact that she stepped BEHIND the plastic divider meant for employees safety to show her the transaction on her phone.I stepped up to my own register to be greeted by Jaimie, who saw my pictures of my godkids on my phone and immediately started gushing with me about them while also getting things handled on my order while chatting with me with a smile on her face (absoulte jem, 5 stars just from her alone). At some point during my conversation with Jaimie, Assistant Manager Ariel has been summoned (classic Karen, demanding to see the manager) and shes slowly raising her voice about a card error. Its now clear enough that I can hear what is going on- and its an error I have seen before. The card has incorrectly charged the womans credit card a second time. The manager is trying to explain to her that, based on their receipt and the record of the transaction on the computer, Karen was only charged once. Shes demanding a full refund of the item, waving her phone and a piece of paper around. Ariel calmly explains to her that this is not an issue with their system, its an issue with her bank, and that calling them should be able to get it resolved. Karen then proceeds to slam her purse back onto the countertop, snapping at the two people trying to help her that shes been through this before with the bank (proof to me that the issue is with her bank and NOT with HD), and that her last refund took 6 months to get, and its all because of a mistake YOU PEOPLE MADE. To my relief, Ariel defends Natasha, saying outright No maam, it is not not. She then starts in on the This will be the last time I shop here rant and proceeds to storm out, with Ariel calling after her without a shred of malice in his voice to have a wonderful day.I want to commend Ariel on his behavior here. Employees are at their honest to God best when they feel supported and, to some degree, protected by a manager, particularly when they have done nothing wrong themselves. I dont know what the home depot policy is on this, but it is also important to me as a customer that Ariel hung around long enough to help out where he could. It demonstrates excellent leadership and is a commendable quality in a manager. If this is how HD teaches the management to treat their employees, it has ensured that I will return as a customer.I also want to commend Natasha for not loosing her mind, and going right back to work as though nothing had happened, and not seeming even remotely frustrated by the next customer that approached her. After an incident like that, I wont lie, I would have needed a moment or two just to process the sheer stupidity of what had just happened, and maybe smack a pillow. But she handled it like a pro, waving the next customer up without a thought. Im sure this is normal in customer service to some degree, but I believe that it is worth mentioning when it is witnessed, because it demonstrates a strength of character that few people possess.Five stars specifically to Jaimie, Natasha and Ariel. Well done!

I ordered a griddle from here and paid extra to have it delivered on Saturday June 6th. They forgot to put it on the truck. After spending an hour on the phone I was told I would receive a call from the manager. Never got a call. Called Sunday and after spending almost 2 hours on the phone I asked for them to cancel my order. They said they couldnt and to just refuse the delivery. Asked to speak to a manager and received a rude response. Finally I was transferred to the managers phone where I left a voicemail, and never got a call back. Several days later I come home and the griddle is sitting in my driveway where I need to park in the pouring rain. Horrible customer service.

Was in there last weekend buying plants. NONE of the employees were wearing masks. WHY?! I left feeling stressed and anxious and I will not be back while you’re not enforcing this with employees. Customers I can sorta understand just β€œrecommending” outside bc the burden of enforcement, but for staff that’s really unacceptable. And when I was checking out there was an option to put down a sort of plastic shield between customers and the employee but chose to leave it up. Also you need a system for customers to buy plants outside without returning back inside to pay. The store gets to capacity and then unknowing customers go out to grab a plant, and have to wait in line to get back in. Consider setting up a tent and checkout station outside. Went to a local nursery after shopping here that thank goodness had its act together. There was an outdoor checkout, employees wore masks outside, and keep distance w/ payment.

I ask for a refund and they stated that they issued it on July 23rd, but no where on my bank account. Home Depot has no delivery. Do not buy any major appliance from here. I placed an online delivery order to our property. After 2 weeks of no communication, I was finally able to schedule one. My husband took a day off and drove to Harpers Ferry from Baltimore just to find out they will not deliver it that day because the truck they have is too big. Scheduled it for today - my husband took another day, no show again! And we can’t get thru to anyone in the store - no one is picking up the phone. The worse experience ever! Wish I never even started this order with them. They are incompetent and don’t care about customers!

This has been the only hardware store in Leesburg for a long time, so its good that Lowes has come in to give them a little bit of competition. However, I havent used the shop online pickup in-store option at Lowes like I have at Home Depot. Home Depot does a pretty good job with the online pickup in-store experience. The store itself is somewhat disorganized, with stocking going on during all hours, so so miles are blocked off unexpectedly. On the other hand, if you have a screw or widget that you need help finding a replacement for, the staff seem to be willing to help you figure it out, especially if youre bringing in an example of whatever it is.

Nearly impossible to rent a truck here. The website insists that you call to confirm inventory before coming to the store. The phone menu specifically has an option to reserve a truck. The employees will tell you that you cant reserve a truck online, you have to take a chance and just arrive at the store. When you arrive theyll tell you all of the trucks are rented, they wont tell you that on the phone. Theyll also tell you, you have to find an available truck in the parking lot to know if they have one, apparently the computer cant tell. When you find a truck in the parking lot, theyll say it must already be rented and the customer is probably in the store shopping. Essentially they have an excuse for every situation and recommendation and theres no option to actually get them to rent out a truck. Same story at the Ashburn location. Ive spent over $20,000 in the past two years at this store and every Department is nothing but frustration, mistakes and lies.

They generally have what I need as well for household maintenance repairs.The staff have always been friendly. Schools are closed, restaurants are not allowed to have customers inside, most of Leesburg business are shuttered and this Saturday it was business as usual at HD. No protocols in place, no social distancing from anyone, no expectations established by management. Huge difference from Costco just one block over. No thanks, I will go somewhere else.
