Casey & the guys are great, been using them about 10yrs with several different cars/trucks. Always been honest and upfront. I came in on a fri, to get my car inspected, took about 5-10 min! I thought, let me get my oil changed too, well I came in that next Mon. I was shocked because while it was really fast, they told me I needed Synthetic oil. Well my car runs like new! The last placed used the wrong oil! I have to say, I did too, and the garage I took it to after didnt know what was wrong either. We were putting the wrong oil in. So glad I came to Cortez Auto! Thank you Guys!!

Took my girlfriends E-450 Class C Motorhome in for an inspection and oil change. Work was completed in a most timely manner and they even advised me of an engine misfire issue that was picked up on their diagnostic scanner. Was able to take it home and address the issue in time to leave for our camp-out the next day.

So I got my breaks done the day before yesterday and then got my shocks and struts done the next day well when I went in I decided to sit and wait for my car I was there at 8am well first off the manager and one of the shop guys where cussing each other out threatening each other in front of me then kept on going out in the shop arguing witch got so bad at one point I wanted to go sit outside then later I get my car after I get the alignment done after the shocks and struts still pulls to the right and my steering wheel now sits at a 1oclock angle so how is that wheel alignment done? So do not go to the one in league City cus a fight might break out and youre vehicle might not get worked on properly

The guys there are great! They never tell you that you need things you dont and the pricing is reasonable. Friendly and helpful staff who work as quickly as possible to get you in and out. Its my main stop for all of my cars needs.

I would strongly discourage anyone from getting a service done at Cortez Auto Pros and would recommend seeking an alternate auto shop.I cannot speak to the service of all employed, but both of my experiences with Jacob within 24 hours have confirmed my decision to never return.Yesterday, when getting an emission check, I waited 60-70 minutes for a 15-minute service because Jacob 1) skipped the step (their words) to input a year for my car and 2) input the wrong license plate number. As I was set to check out (thinking my car passed), I WAS THE ONE THAT NOTICED THIS WAS WRONG (not them) and asked for it to be retested with the correct details since I would need accurate details to get my Texas tag at the DMV.Although I disregarded this as human error and moved on, unfortunately if I had not noticed the error, I would have 1) waited at the DMV (long lines!) only to have the emission check denied for inaccurate details, 2) needed to return to Cortez to properly redo the test, and 3) had to return to the DMV once again. PLEASE BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PAPER WORK IF YOU DO CHOOSE TO WORK WITH CORTEZ.As background, the Texas pass/fail emission standards vary based on the year of the car. Therefore it is important that they accurately input the year and not skip the step (their words) as Jacob did. My car failed the 2nd time (once the correct year was input).Jacob was rude when I was asking to understand why it would pass the 1st time and fail the 2nd time. Again, this is based on years - I know nothing about cars, so I did not know that, but seems that this could have been avoided had the test been properly completed the first time. I dismissed this as human error and moved on. HOWEVER, MY EXPERIENCE TODAY, I CANNOT DISMISS.Today, after waiting in the lobby for 10-15 minutes because no one was at the front desk, I finally found someone and asked for my FREE re-test. Jacobs behavior is why I will never return.Obviously remembering me from yesterday and being annoyed with my 2 questions for why my car would pass then fail (how dare I seek to understand an error that HE made, I guess?) Jacob stared at me through the window of the Employees Only glass door for 1-2 minutes before graciously deciding that he would enter the waiting area and assist me.After telling Jacob why I was back and asking for the pre-test that another employee has mentioned yesterday, Jacob said he didnt know what I was talking about. After asking him if it possible that he connect with the other employee regarding the pre-test, Jacob, without saying anything, walked away back to the garage. No acknowledgement that he would check. No acknowledgement that my test would be run. No acknowledgement whatsoever.After waiting for 3-4 minutes and realizing that I wouldnt be acknowledged and my request would be ignored, I walked up the Employees Only glass window to see if perhaps Jacob was working with anyone.Instead (and I wont forget this), he was leaning on a desk with nothing to do, with his legs crossed, staring directly at me and smirking. I pointed to my paperwork to see if he would come assist me. He continued to stare and smirk arrogantly, continuing to ignore me. This lasted 30-60 seconds, until I decided that this was not an auto shop that I wanted to patron.I will not be back. Not even for my FREE recheck. I will be starting anew with a different auto shop. DISCLAIMER: I cannot speak to the customer service of others employed, but unfortunately Jacob is in charge of the emissions service, and that is the service that I need.Unfortunately a bad employee can spoil the bunch and because of my series of negative experiences with this single employee, I will not return and dissuade anyone else against using them as well.However, if you do choose to service with Cortez, I would advise 1) double checking all paper work - as they will not and it may be improperly done and 2) dont expect a high quality of customer service.UPDATE: The owner connected with my to rectify the situation. All good now.

Had a nail in a tire, in and out in twenty minutes. Nice! Not like some tire stores that will fix your tire for free. But, youll be putting air in it every week or month due to a slow leak, how aggravating! !

Spent OVER $3000 and got the vehicle back in worse condition

Top notch guys. Highly recommend. Theyre honest and hard working. Took my f-150 in on Saturday morning 8 am for a break job. Told me my rear brakes were just fine but the front rotors were shot which I already knew... They got me out at 11 am.

Been doing business with these guys in Alvin for years. Theyve got a 1 year warranty on their labor which no other shop in my area has. If I have a problem I call Roman and he solves it quick and in a hurry. I drive a lifted 4x4 and theyve changed the whole front end out of my truck for half the cost of a 4x4 shop. Im very pleased with the service and how they treat family and I . Will be doing service with this shop for many more years to come.

Just had my car TOWED FROM Cortez because they wanted me to pay $1,000 for a starter because I didnt have the $580 upfront. When I told CASEY I could not afford that and I would take it somewhere else. He became very aggressive and threw something at the door to the garage. He started taking my car apart before I was able to go over all the information from the 3rd party and realized it was $1,000. CASEY tried to make me feel horrible not paying this outrageous price. I ended up paying $160 for tows. I will NEVER return to Cortez Auto pros again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

These guys kill it every time I bring my old truck to them, no job is too big or small and the price is always right. Casey and his crew are one of the best mechanic crews in the area, highly recommended!

I am from out-of-town and had a roadside auto electrical failure. Google maps showed a different mechanic close to me, but when I went there, he recommended these guys to me instead. It is a true testimony when another mechanic recommends a competing shop.They worked me right in to their busy schedule. They were GREAT, honest, fair and reasonably priced. They diagnosed the problem quickly and correctly. They got the new parts in and had me back on the road as quickly as possible.If I lived in this area, I would bring all my work to these guys.

Was provided a quote of $325 that properly should have been over $500 (we had differing views as to if one repair was in the scope or not); however, they honored the original $325 quote. That was very good of them to do that.

I called inquired about a warranty on alignments. I had said it was “pulling to the left, then fixed, now pulling to the left again.” The person I spoke with said they would take a look at it but normally it wouldn’t “start pulling to the right if it were fixed”. I then said “it’s not pulling to the right it’s pulling to the left” that’s when he stated “that’s not what you said,” in the most rude way. I will no longer do business with these people (personal and company vehicles) and will continue to spread the word of how unprofessional they are. I hope it was worth it to your ego to lose customers.

Please do not do business with these people they’re rude and try to take advantage of people like me who don’t know much about cars just last week they gave me a quote on my wife’s suv for $1152!! Went to Nissan dealership and their quote came out to be $479. the service technician at Cortez autos pros took my vehicle for a “test drive” that took nearly 30min and when he finally came back took about 3min to give me he’s quote with services I didn’t need according to my dealership, save your money and never visit one these crooked shops

(update I received a call from Roman Cortez, one of the owners, and he wanted to work with me in resolving this problem. I appreciate the phone call)I took my 2008 Dodge Avenger in because the check oil sensor was coming on. While they were fixing that I told Casey I had a nagging small oil leak and could he fix that. He said $250 for the oil sensor and $250 to fix the oil leak. (two solenoids) After I got my car home it was still leaking oil so I took it back and Casey said well if you fix one leak it just finds somewhere else to come out. This time he said it was a gasket and it would be $150 to fix that, so I said ok. Took my car home and it still leaks oil. When I took it back Casey said well I hope you didnt expect to fix all the oil leaks for $200? I told him as a matter of fact I have spent $400 on this now and yes I do expect you to fix it. He told me it is not leaking much. $400 later I still have an oil leak in my garage every morning. Instead of saying I am sorry that did not fix the problem Casey tried to convince me that every time he fixed one leak another one would spring up. Terrible customer service! Casey could care less because it is not his business, but I am done with that place!

They know absolutely nothing about diesels wasted 600 dollars and 6 days for a simple part. Bubba pyle only person to take your diesel too. Took him 20 minutes to fix. Cortez tried telling me my turbo had bent blades and actuator was bad. Never again

I started using Cortez about 5 years ago. some people judge a company by how well the job gets done the first time, and thats a fair standard; however I think whats even more important is how they respond when things dont go well at the start. These guys do a great job, and they stand behind their work. I would not trust my cars to anyone else! I was out of town one time when my wifes car broke. They picked her up, delivered her back home, fixed her Suburban, and dropped it off at the house. I could not ask for more.

Ive been coming to cortez for several years, as has my family. I dont ever go anywhere else for my auto needs because Roman and his crew are honest, reliable and super quick. The customer service is excellent and affordable.

After shopping several places to get new shocks, tune up, oil change and a few other things done on my 2010 FJ Cruiser I stopped in Cortez Auto Pro and spoke with Casey. I was given a quote to do the work, I accepted the quote and they went right to work. The owner jumped in and got my shocks ordered and the mechanics got right on it. They offered to take us home while they did the work and then picked us up when they were done. They had a small glitch with one of the abs modules and were quick to get that taken care of within a couple of days. Nobody is perfect but they were great at explaining the issue and getting it taken care of! Cortez on Main St in League City is a Small Shop with Big Customer Service. I definitely reccomend these guys! An honest, reliable place to have your vehicle serviced....my new auto service center!!!...THANKS AGAIN!

My roommate recommended this place so I went there when I was having a problem with the fill pipe for my gas tank leaking. Without even looking at my car the young man told me that I would have to replace the whole gas tank. Good luck in finding one for a car that old. I went home, took pictures of the area that was leaking, went on YouTube and checked up videos for replacing the gasket, and did the work myself.

Stay away from this place. Took my car to repair came back with broken parts and not fixed. Big rip off

Got a front alignment done. First time using the shop. In and out under an hour. Steering wheel was a little off center when I got it back but they fixed it up right away. Will definitely be back.

They did a good job last year with my car Hyundai 2005 after my car was back in forth from Auto Check approaching at Regends Park Houston in October last year, and it was so sad because my car was driving like it was going to explode the car hood in October, it was over heating and my car was only taken last year to Cortez auto pros and Auto Check. Anyway Cortez ended up fixing my car last year, and last week started over heating again and I took my car again yesterday to cortez and Roman told me that it was over heating because it needs a freeze plug that is only $3 dollars piece cost and that he said that labor require involved is $600 and that sounds to me odd 3 dollars piece he said, and $600 labor, so I told Casey that I will double check of course the bottom of this with a different auto shop as I dont want to feel like they are baranting me demanding of 3 dollars piece and $600 labor. Casey said yesterday to me that probably somebody put water on my car after I tooked my car for a tune up to Cortez in February this year, but I told him in exact moderate way nobody put water in my car after they did the significant tune up and I paid them down $485 for tune up and as I pay them off $ 580 for new tires in March this year, and I am super human with 2 kids so for now I will be driving my new car as I dont want to feel very unsafe driving for now the Hyundai 2005 and thinking the car could explode the hood for instance that we assume and impact there, so moving to slide forth to a different auto shop respective in place is to whether prospective the legal challenge having to hear the way the language directionally my understanding seriously to be consider it should not be $600 labor for a $3 dollar piece information Roman told me, as I dont like to face with different times to put in place still not at this level as I am having to be picking thinking and handle for a better cheaper deal of the scenario issue from what I heard.

I have a 2003 BMW 325 which i took over there in March 2013 for a check engine light fix up. Theyve charged me twice 150, and 200 bucks for an airflow problem that they did not fix. Not even told me what they fixed when i took it back cause the light came back on.I took it to the dealership and got it fixed even though it costs more, shouldve do it the first time.
