My father, brother and I took our 1978 F-100 in for an engine rebuild and to have an A/C installed. The A/C works but they used cardboard for the “custom” work and just spray painted in black. The dash lights didn’t work when we got it back, they worked when we took it in, so we had to take it back in to get them repaired. Got it back again and the speedometer didn’t work. The engine is already leaking in the oil pan and at other joints that probably means they didn’t torque the engine properly. For how expensive the work was this place is extremely overrated. I suggest avoiding.
Wasatch restored the chassis portion and the painting of the camper of my 68 ford RV. They are quite knowledgeable in all aspects of restoration. They are great at modification when needed and wanted. They didnt rebuild anything that was in good shape saving me $$$. They have a great team with great advice which helped me not make bad decisions. They were very responsive when working any bugs out upon completion. Highly recommend.
I just picked up my 69 Roadrunner from them yesterday after having them fix some minor fender damage it received a couple weeks ago. The dent was about the size of a dinner plate, cracked paint, and some deep scuffs. These guys are magicians, you cant even tell anything happened and Mark, the owner, worked with my insurance adjuster to get most the damage covered. They may not be cheap but if you want it done right, these are your guys. Id say the pics speak for themselves.
Had a custom aftermarket hood installed and body color matched on my Corvette. They also did paint correction on some rock chips on the bumper and fenders. They did a great job! The paint matches perfectly. Mark is a great guy! Your car is in caring hands at Wasatch!
Wasatch customs is in the process of restoring my 1966 el Camino with matching numbers, she has 66,000 miles original . there are only. 30 1966 el Camino .s left I have one of them :)
Overpriced, terrible customer service unless you’re dealing directly with Mark, shoddy workmanship. Getting one thing fixed or warrantied and something else they shouldn’t even be touching will be messed up or missing. They will usually try to make it right, but at that price it should be perfect the first time. Pretty sure my vehicle was used as practice for the new guy.I’m still having issues with the car, but I know letting them do more work on it is not a good idea. I took it to Steve’s automotive, a pretty generic auto repair shop and they were able to figure out my issues in about an hour. Unbelievable.Edit 1-5-21: dropped down to 1 star because I just found out the throttle cable they used was too long, resulting in my car only having about 1/4 throttle when floored. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY! Nudeez Customs about 1/2 North of them is awesome, however.
Awesome place. They do amazing work. Super helpful and friendly staff
Hannah the manager is amazing. She knows more about cars and custom rides than most people in the area if not the whole state. If you want to be treated well and have a great experience I highly recommend you stop in and see her for all your custom car needs. Forget Kindig and head to Wasatch today!
Complete Joke trying to find wheels for 1967 pickup retoration, was told to bring the truck in on Friday between 8-5 so they could pull a wheel and put a tool on it, the laziest person I ever met was behind the desk would not even look at the truck or stand up period! after a 1 hour drive he told me if I ordered wheels with 0 or -6 offset they COULD FIT and a 12 probably would? and then got on his phone definitely will find wheels as well as body and paint somewhere else.
Wasatch Customs is the best repair shop I have used in Davis and Weber counties. While their pricing is not the lowest, their quality and customer service is unmatched. I have had three different repairs done on an old truck with them. In each case, they have told me exactly how much the parts cost and how much time/labor it will take them to finish each job - they have been very transparent. They stand by their work and have re-done something for me at their cost. They also go the extra mile to provide customer service. Just a quick example - I couldnt make it to pick up my truck before their closing time the night before the long Thanksgiving weekend. I needed my truck, so they allowed me to pay over the phone and transported my truck (at no cost) to my home for me. I am sold on their service and will keep going to them for my repair needs!
I had the worst experience with this shop. Every fitting leaked, wires to wrong terminals, wrong brake fittings and much much more. Appears all work was pawned off on a first year apprentice. Finally took it to Decols Speed Shop, the best I have found. I would not recommend this shop for any work whatsoever.
Great place to restore your classic vehicles. Very well trained mechanics and staff.
Helpful, friendly, and honest people work here. They helped me in a flash and exceeded my expectations.
