Great place! All of the guys are honest and awesome. They will give you the best quality work while being truthful about what is getting done and what may need to be done... They helped me find my dream car after trying to help me with multiple problems and doing as much as he can for my old car. These guys are like family friends and I wouldnt take my car to any other shop in the city!

Billy from Royal transmission center (another honest guy) sent us here for repairs. We can not say enough good about this place. They fixed all the real problems with my car. We had a list of issues we were told by another car repair place. That list was not true. JASON and his staff (at Husker) saved us thousands of dollors just by being honest. They are for sure our new car guys! They are fast and thorough! We are very thankful to finnaly fine people we can trust. (Thanks again Billy @ Royal Transmission Center for sending us to Husker)

Jason is a god send! I had the fuel filters replaced in my 2013 F250 at another facility that I will not name and my truck immediately started making a very load humming noise. I took it back to that facility and they had NO CLUE what it was or how to fix it. Through a friend I was recommended to Huskers so I took my truck there unannounced. He was about to close for the day but he saw how desperate I was and gave my issue a listen. He then looked at the fuel filters and immediately knew what the problem was. Pulled my truck into the bay, lifted and fixed it within an hour. He could have charged me an outrageous amount for staying late but he was MORE THAN FAIR. I highly recommend Huskers Automotive!!!

I have to say that I dont agree with the reviews above. Tom, the owner, was very friendly. I had gone to this shop without really having a choice, as Im new to the Henderson area. I was referred to this place by the tow company that picked me up in the middle of the night after I basically shattered the tire/axle/rim/rotor on the drivers side. The towing guy said that he recommended Husker because it was a friend of his that he felt was reasonable (since it seemed like I was looking at a costly repair). Tom called me early the next morning and told me the damages, I was looking at about $1400 in repairs. He asked me to come down if possible (and also if I couldnt, hed pick me up) so that I could see the damages with the car on the lift. I went down and he showed me everything that was messed up, explaining all what had to be replaced. He got me all used parts to lower my costs, which was very helpful. The car was finished by the next morning earlier than the anticipated time hed quoted me, and when I picked it up they let me know a list of other things that would need fixed eventually that the noticed while fixing the initial issue. They were never pushy about getting it done, and even said Once youve saved up a bit of money and get a chance since they were well aware that Id been gutted with the unexpected repairs. Ill definitely be back to see them. They seem very knowledgeable and proud of their work. The other mechanic, whom I dont remember his name, was very nice as well.I also like how their billing paper has a list of all the charges specifically, by part, and a list of recommended things later, its a very neat way to keep things organized and together.

We had great service and they went the extra mile. I was concerned that I needed a new radiator since I didnt have any leaks, but to be on the safe side I felt that i was being advised to do the best thing. It was also great to be close to a hotel and they dropped us off and picked us up. I definitely would recommend them to anyone I know in the area.

BEWARE, you will get ripped off. I just moved here and was looking for a good and honest mechanic.Tom talks a good talk but will use your knowledge against you. He charged me over 2000.00 for a brake job that he didnt even complete. Also tried to rip me off an additional 2200.00 for something that wasnt even defective.(Differential). Tom you should be a shamed of yourself and from the posting Ive seen, dont know how your still in business. You dont back up your work and its 65% at best.Even after I wrote and voice my option, he never responded and wont warranty his work. Stay away from this dirt bag and hope he get shut down soon. Ive never written anything like this but if it can save someone from getting ripped off, I figured it was a good thing to do. Tom, suck it and hope you get what you deserve.

Had recent repair work done on my Xterra which included catalytic converter replacement, as well as several critical hoses. Prior condition resulted in failure to pass smog, and general operating deficiencies. Tom completed all the work in one day, and for a very reasonable, fair, and competitive price. He even went the extra mile as far as taking vehicle for drive to clear codes, and then to smog test station. I have found that two of the things people dread most are a visit to the dentist, and a visit to a vehicle repair center. However, in both cases, when you find a good one, you stick with them. Thanks for your service Tom.

Tom took care of two cars in my family. Our first experience was with my wifes car when we moved to the area a year ago, and we returned again this year. He recently fixed both our cars. I can tell a difference in the way my car drives, and he picked up on issues that we already knew about our both cars. He had a great Midwestern feel, and did not discriminate as we are both Hawkeyes at heart.

Huskers Automotive Is Not An Honest MechanicI had a really bad experience at Huskers Automotive. The Owner is rude and a crook. They advertised free Diagnostic testing. I paid $1,100 dollars cash to change my Distributor, and my computer. When they fixed my car the it was running really poor and was very dangerous to drive. I called him and asked if he could fix my car again and he said he wouldnt fix it, and to take him to court. He told me that he Diagnosed it as no start. This shop overcharged me for parts I didnt need and also cut my Airbag wires. My cruise control didnt work after they cut my Airbag wires. I looked on my floor and saw yellow electrical connectors cut. I looked under my hood and read that if you cut the yellow wires Serious Injury or Fire can occur. They used the rotor that I bought and left in my car worth $18.99. I asked the Owner where my Distributor Rotor went, and he yelled at his Mechanic. The Distributor that they charged me twice the amount for had my rotor in it. They charged me around $400 dollars for a part that only cost $220 dollars. The computer wouldve cost me $300 to have it re-manufactured, and they charged me around $500 dollars. My Distributor was missing a bolt to hold it on to the motor, and missing a bolt holding the Distributor Cap on. My Computer was also missing a bolt to hold it down.I would not bring my car to Huskers.I was at an Auto parts store and heard other customers talking about how Huskers disconnected their Vacuum hose to make it run worse. No one should have to go through the Pain and Suffering that I have gone through.Im not happy with the service I received from Huskers Automotive.Huskers Automotive Should Be Shut Down.Im going to call Channel 13 News and report this shop and so should everyone else that has suffered from Huskers Automotive.Huskers Automotive put my life in Danger by letting me drive out of the shop with my car running so poorly.I would not recommend Huskers to Anyone.Im so Disappointed, and still suffering from the Damage that Huskers Automotive has done. I hope someone reads this and learns from my mistake.Dont Trust Huskers Automotive.I wish I wouldve read the bad reviews before I took my car here.

Unfortunately it was a Bad experience here. We had our clutch fixed and they offered 90 day warranty so please don’t go to this place because other places offer better warranty. Our car had another problem which seemed like the same issue and was told something else. So I get charged $40 for something I never agreed them to do and I decided to go to another shop. The NEW shop checked what this shopped did and informed me that the job wasn’t done correctly. So needless to say, I am staying away from this place from now on and happy to spend my money fixing the issues that this place couldn’t do. Also, the attitude of the gentlemen who was “helping me” here was all over the place. You figure you would want to be nice to paying customers.

Unfortunately I bought a horrible vehicle that has a lot of major problems. From all of my experience, Tom runs a legit business and is one of the few honest mechanics. My step-dad is a mechanic in California so I refer to him first and so far Tom hasnt charged me for additional things that do not need to be replaced. He is always very nice and has even picked my car up and taken me where I needed to go after I dropped my car off.

My car broke down ~60 miles south of Vegas and had to get towed into town. I called Tom, the owner, who came and opened his shop at 9:30 pm so I could put my car in the garage overnight. Tom then helped me get a cab that night so that I could go get a rental car. The next day was Saturday and Tom worked from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm to get my car fixed, he was suppose to get off at 12 pm. Even after working an extra 3 hrs he still offered to drive me to the rental car dealership to save me a cab fare. My car runs great and Tom even called me the next day to make sure I made it home safe and to check on the car. Not many people would wake up to open up there shop, work an extra 3 hrs on a Saturday, drive you to a rental car dealership to save you a cab fare, and call to check on you the next day. I’m a U.S. Naval Officer and thanks to Tom was able to be back to work on Monday and get back to my family. Tom I owe you one, thanks again.

Husker Automotives really saved the day!. I was moving my son home from college with my daughter and my son’s 3 month old dog in tow. When we got only 1 1/2 into our travels of a 14 hour trip, his truck lost power, the timimg belt came off and was missing a piece that holds it into place. After determining that we needed a tow to a garage, my husband was making calls from Colorado to help us. It took the tow truck driver longer to get to us out in Primm Nevada then it took Husker Automotives get the parts and fix our truck. We started out at 5:45 that morning. Husker had us back on the road by noon!!! They worked fast, had a bay open when we arrived and were extremely pleasant! Thanks to them we made it home by midnight without any other issues. They really went the extra mile to get us back on the road safely. I wish I know a garage near our home that is that efficient. And the price was very reasonable especially with a rush job.Thank you Tom and the guys at Husker Automotives.

Thomas Bergman owns this place and he is an angry rabid barnyard dog. I had repairs done there for $1200, which turns out to be questionable, because the engine light was on. I was pressured into deciding fast because according to him the parts had to be ordered by 3 or he couldnt get them until the next week. Not so strangely, he told me this at 2:50. He promised me on his marine honor that he guaranteed his work for a year. Shortly after I left, the engine started the same noises. It took me a few months to get back there as it is not close to my residence at all and its not easy to get to for me. I parked the car unless I really needed to go somewhere until I could get it back there. I took it somewhere else and they ran a diagnostic and it indicated it was the same issues. Unfortunately the receipt was stolen when my car was broken into so I didnt have it but I did have the credit card receipt that clearly said, Huskers Automotive and the amount paid. He went off on me that he doesnt keep receipts and he sends them every month... or six months... or whatever... to Utah to a storage unit, He told me the light could be on for either 100 reasons or 1000 reasons or 2000 reasons... or it could be any one of 2500 parts or 1500 parts.... this is the crazy tirade I was subjected to at this place. He cant run a computer because cars hit the power box on the street. Is that relevant for anyone? He kept shouting that he was trying to help when he made no move to help at all... he just shouted and ranted about his personal life and that he didnt want to work for free and blah blah blah. His mechanic came out and remembered exactly what was done but still Ole Tom would not stop foaming at the mouth. The mechanic told him to stand down and back off and shut up to no result but that Tom accused him of feeling free to give away money. I finally got his face out of mine and my car and left. Shortly thereafter he calls me and leaves a voice mail that he found the receipt after all and would diagnose the problem if I brought it back. OK. Sounds reasonable? I should be subjected to going back to another escalated abuse session? He was out to lunch when I arrived and no one else could write me up so I waited over 30 minutes and Tom shows up already escalated and proceeds to attack me for over 30 more minutes. This is a warning... if you want to be abused then bring your car here for service. This guy has major personal problems and, in my opinion, may have addiction issues that supersede basic logic. Hes the worst kind of skank businessman in my opinion.
