I shop here for gifts for my wife, especially at Christmas. Two items in particular: Boyds Bears, and the handcrafted Ginger Cottages Christmas ornaments. These ornaments are Individually hand made of wood, with a hole to place a small light, which reveals hidden secrets for youngsters of all ages to discover. Instead of hanging from our tree, we now have a Ginger Cottage village around it.The Gift House - owned from the beginning by the Johnsons who are the nicest family - welcome you to their quaint shop more as friends than customers. Not what I was expecting lots of glass and antiques

Not what I expected. They have such a great variety of stuff and they cater to just about any budget. Most of these places I have visited have a boutique feel with high prices and extremely limited choices. Not the Gift House. Check it out, they carry a wide variety of vendors in each area so you dont have to get bogged down with only one style of anything. This also means that they usually have stuff for lower budgets as well as the higher end stuff. My girlfriend likes fairies and I like to surprise her from time to time. Now you can buy fairy stuff all over town but the value these guys give you is unmatched. None of their selection looks cheep or mass produced and often they come in under what some of their competitors sell cheep or mass produced items for.Ok enough with the pricing and value. Heres what it comes down to. They are family owned and passionate about what they do. They know their inventory and are always striving to bring in new better items. I really do not know how they are able to always keep their inventory looking fresh and still know so much about each piece in their store.

I love this mom and pop shop. They are all about the customer with no extra upselling and pushy employees that dont know anything. It is also hard to find a place with old fasioned values and trust, they even have a lay away! I have been a customer for years and will continue.
