Omg! These are the best donuts and coffee Ive ever had! Isabelle and the rest of the girls are super nice and especially helpful. They were very patient while my husband and I made the tough decision of which yummy donuts to get! We are from Buffalo NY and will be back the next time we are in town.

I love this place. It has been doing business here forever. The donuts are so good that we get them for birthdays instead of a cake. We had them for a donut wall at a wedding. No matter what we order or the amount, they have come through! I always order ahead because they are so popular and we like certain kinds. The people are wonderful and very friendly. Oh, and the scones are great for breakfast.

Lakewood House of Donuts been serving it up since 1959 and never fail to please. Even their coffee is good so you can get your java and treat without even getting out of the car.Besides their tremendous assortment of hand crafted delicacies they even make special donut treats for our four legged fur babies!Theres two drive up windows besides walking in so their customer service is quick and friendly. my favorite snack is their apple fritter or cherry fritter. but what I like to order mostly is one item of everything glazed in Maple. thats usually a fairly big box of treats considering the variety of items that they make. best signature dish their is the bacon sprinkled maple bar! this thing is so big it feeds two people!

Donuts are great 👍🏼 this review is not to question the donuts but I do whats to know why do you guys not accept $2 bills. Yesterday I had stopped by and gotten 2 dozens after work and as part of my payment I had 3 $2 bills and I was told they are not accept but not given a reason why they would take the rest of my money but not those. I had to borrow money from the other person with me. $2 bills are still as good a $1, $5 $10.

Excellent service...donuts were dry. $16 plus per dozen. Ive been there in the past when the donuts were much fresher

They have a friendly staff. I dont really enjoy the taste of their donuts, nothing sets them apart imo. I go there every Friday to give the kids a special treat and numerous times they ran out of the donuts the kids want..usually the sprinkled ones. I will still go there every Friday though because the kids do like it and get excited about it. Its become part of our Friday Funday routine.

Nothing but grease and sugar. The donuts were cooked in old oil complete with that after taste of it. So sugar topped that they were inedible. We just tossed them and noted to never return. Hope your encounter goes better.

Its the legendary Dount house. It seems like I am paying for the brand. Its like 20 bucks a dozen, so dont waist them on people who wont know the difference from grocery store donuts. Awesome variety, cool display box, above average friendly staff.

Very disappointed no maple bars no glazed ??? You are a dougnt shop this is 2 nd time I have had their doughnuts disappointed both times. Doughnuts very heavy and cake like not light at all. Had a red devil one with filling it was very bitter. Next time I will drive farther for better donuts

Giving a 2 star rating is generous. Twice I have been here and both times the donuts were hard and empty. There were so many empty pockets and so hard I cant go back and spend more money on donuts that should have been fresh baked. So disappointed

Only place Ive favorited as my All-time favorite donut joint since I was a child. Im so happy to see theyre still around whenever I come to town to visit. Its one thing I hope Lakewood never changes. The prices went up a little in the last year but thats to be expected. Im glad they have online order as an option but the selection menu on there needs to expand DRAMATICALLY. Would be nice to see their entire menu available for custom orders - both pickup and delivery options like Uber Eats. The donuts here are still the best Ive ever had. The frosting options on the raised are to die for and the vanilla sprinkled cake donuts are delectable. Every donut no matter the topping is the perfect moistness and thats really what keeps me coming back. The dough is so thick it keeps out air for a couple days so they dont really get stale, and if they do, 10 seconds in the microwave perks it right back to new. Very pleased with this business.

Amazing selection and the staff are understanding when you take a while to choose. I went during partial lockdown so at the time there were only 2 people allowed inside at a time. But the wait was worth it and they do have a drive thru. The boxes they use are strong! They send you home with a mini-menu as well.

The place was easy to find and had lots of room for parking. When walking up they have you follow covid precautions by only allowing 2 customers in at a time. The staff were friendly and took the time to focus on the customer instead of multitasking on the drive through and the counter. I got a apple fritter, blueberry fritter and a white frosting with sprinkles. For three donuts it was an amazing price. All 3 donuts were eaten an hour later and they were amazing. These are not your premade with preservatives sitting for day/s store donuts, these are freshly made amazing tasting donuts. I would recommend them for your donuts!

Updated review. The last few times weve gotten donuts here Ive noticed these unfortunate commonalities: donuts are DENSE and very closed textured, stale, flavors are not always there. Some of these donuts are so dense I could get full from eating half of one. The flavors arent always there either. Some are good, but not the ones I like. They dont keep well, if sitting on the table after 1-2 hours theyre already hard and turning stale. Im going to assume they make the entire batch for the day at like 4 am and they sit there until closed so if you come in the afternoon youre getting an 8+ hr old donut. Thats what it tastes like anyway.Maybe Ill try going back and updating the review then but not for a while.Pros: the building itself is cute and the donuts are cute if thats all you care about.

House of Donuts is Awesome! They went above and beyond helping me create a fun Elf on the Shelf adventure for my grandson. Apparently Chippy the elf decided to stop for donuts flying back from the North Pole, but sadly he doesnt carry cash so he and his sidekicks were stuck at HOD. They kindly notified me 😉 (so the tale was told) and before my grandson woke up, I brought his Christmas pals, a delicious selection of Christmas donut treats (with only a few elfin nibbles missing) and photographic evidence with the fun staff and even a personalized note on the box from the adorable-as-an-elf-herself Phia home to make his morning special.

Awesome donuts here! Not overpriced like Legendary, either. Good variety, too! Love the red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting, Smores, Oreo and bacon maple bar.

We love The Original House of Donuts and go every Sat. For the Donuts, yes but especially for Monica who works at the Lakewood one. All the staff are good but shes our favorite. She always remembers our order and we love to visit briefly. Never hod up.the line.

Im a huge donut fan and I love the aesthetic at OHOD. But I cant shake the fry taste after I eat a donut there. Its like old fair oil or the boiling point of the oil is to high. The cake donuts and cinnamon rolls are better than a yeast product.

Customer service is GREAT. Unlike other doughnut shops, anytime you go there they have a full selection. It doesnt looked picked over and youre stuck with whats left. Doughnuts are some of the best in Washington. Great selection, great people. Highly recommend.

Awful donuts. I use to live in the area and this was my go to spot. But now I have tried this place on my last 2 visit and totally a disappointment. Won’t waste my money there again.

Bought donuts Monday morning, 8 am. Tasted like Sunday donuts. Did not have any buttermilk donuts. I was told none were delivered. What donut shop does not have basic buttermilk donuts?!?!? What they call an apple fritter is a cinnamon roll with some apple, this is not an apple fritter. What they call a Northwest fritter resembles a apple fritter, except it’s the size of a lid to their coffee cups.I stopped coming here after previous owner left, I remember why, donuts are now mediocre at best.

Worst donuts I have ever had anywhere in the world!! I have grown up on these donuts since 1968 and loved them, what happened? I bought a half dozen Maple bars and cinnamon twists and threw them out. They tasted burnt like they were left cooking forever but still used. They were also heavy as a brick. This was heartbreaking because I grew up on these and later I made the screens that proudly printed all your logos on apparel and boxes. I loved this place but now it will be a long time before I return.

So glad they open a new location in Lacey. Bringing those maple bacon donuts closer to home!!

Unfortunately we got there late they were all sold out of the Big Rays Donuts with the multiple dressings very disappointed though they had a lot of this and that and we bought about six of them its not often we get over this way Lakewood but if you do stop by original House of donuts. In recent years theyve blonde big time and kept the place nice and clean running it like a small business with lots of choices but prices a little bit on the top side no its worth it theyre big and theyre tasty dont forget if youre in Lakewood stop by the house of donuts if you live in Lakewood you know all about them Im always wondering why they dont develop a ride out here in East County cuz we sure dont have good Donuts okay good luck
