Nice big bakery and coffee shop with plenty of seating and outlets for your electronic devices. They have great prices for baked goods and it’s professionally crafted as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We were sad to see the options for pastries were limited because we arrived late in the day so next time we will have to get there earlier.The coffee was great which is expected from the Rising Star coffee brand. We got the salted chocolate chip cookie and a coconut macaroon, both were baked perfectly. The music is super mellow and chill. Great place to have a conversation or get some work done. Definitely recommended if you want quality baked goods or craft coffee!

Always super friendly and helpful people here. Their French batards are so good! I couldnt get to the car without breaking open the bag and eating several slices. They have cold drinks for sale as well and Ive heard that they sell Mexican coke (cant speak to the veracity of that one!) I do wish they had bagels here, Im sure with the quality of their bread, their bagels would be STELLAR 😉

This bakery is fantastic!!!❤️. There are so many delicious choices!!! There are numerous kinds of homemade bread!!! I’ve never seen so many homemade loaves!!! There were also scones and a wide variety of cookies!!! My husband tried a sticky bun and a peanut butter cookie 🍪. Both were very good. I tried a lemon shortbread cookie and a raspberry shortbread cookie 🍪. These were probably the best shortbread cookies I’ve ever eaten!!❤️❤️❤️ i took many pictures for people to view!!! I can’t wait to go back!!!

I am thankful every time I stop in that my friend introduced me to this place. You make me feel very European and very cool. Every baked good I have eaten has been divine. The bread has the perfect crunchy crust and soft, moist, flaky inside, could not be fresher, and I would pay just to SMELL it. I know the coffee isn’t like the main thing here but definitely don’t pass it up, because it’s also great!The only thing I wonder is why you don’t show up when I search for cafés and bakeries in the area. It’s one of those places someone has to tell you about, but it deserves more recognition!

They have good products and a good variety, but service can definitely improve. The one lady was unfriendly and rushing me even though it was clearly my first time. I gotta remind her that this is OH and not NY

Stopped in for a quick snack after visiting Rocky River Metropark. Service was quick. Baked goods were delicious. Staff was friendly. Covid rules were followed. Will definitely visit again in the future. Dark coffee was very good. Lemon filled shortbread was a bit too tart for my liking but the shortbread was top notch. Pecan sticky bun was perfectly flaky

They offer curbside pick up, which is super helpful for me. Their pastries, breads and coffee drinks are delicious. I dont think Ive ever ordered something here I didnt love. Definitely try their levain breads - theyre outstanding!

The chocolate croissants where delicious!!! I got them as a gift for my husband, he loved them too. I called the store to see if they sold them as I couldnt find them in any other; so when they said they did they asked if Id like them put aside (which I did). They were VERY friendly! And I appreciate their customer service. Ill definitely take a trip back to them.

I witnessed an elderly gentleman in front of me get scolded because he wasn’t understanding where to pick up his cup of coffee.The girl who waited on me was partially monotone and partially agitated.Not a good look for a local business.

Stopped in with my children for breakfast but rather than us talking about the cookies I had to field questions from my children: why is that man wearing a pink skirt? Not sure why ownership would want to create an uncomfortable environment for children by allowing this man to showcase his bizarre behavior.

The girls who run the front have no idea how to multitask. Went in for just a small coffee and it took 10-15 minutes. If you are in a hurry and there is more than 3 people in line, youre probably better off going elsewhere.

First visit. I appreciate a place that makes it easy to be a customer. It was clear where I should stand, menu was easy to read etc.. my chocolate chip cookie was chewy perfection!

I love a mocha that isnt too sweet. They have a bittersweet mocha and it is exactly what I have been searching for. You get the bitterness of the dark chocolate and the depth of the coffee and it is perfect.I also tried a chocolate almond scone and it was very good.They also have it set up very well for social distancing inside.

This place has never lived up to the hype for me.ive been here a handful of times. The croissants are always way too overcooked on the outside and dry throughout. Ive had several pastries and breads and I thought they were decent, not great.I dont mind paying premium prices if something really wows, but I feel like this is one of those psychological things where people allow the prices, reviews, long lines and their idea of what a modern bakery looks and feels like guide their experience and opinion.

One of my favorite bakeries, and I love they theyre open Mondays when most other places arent. My favorite things to get here are the peanut butter cookies, galettes, and the cookies with jam.

Excellent coffee. Fresh baked pastry. A little on the higher end but worth it. They have discounted prices too in the evening if you wanted to wait for a great deal. The sweet pastries are much better than the savory ones, which tend to get smelly on reheating. Good location to meet up with friends in the morning. Remains very busy. And did I already say it? The coffee is excellent!

The about description is quite accurate with two exceptions: first its very family oriented (they even had books there for kids to read) and second they have an unsweetened hot chocolate that really hit my spot! I disagree with review about the savory pastries, both my wife and I loved the gallette pastry.

The bread and pastries they bake are amazing, delicious, fresh, and preservatives free.Ive tried their coffee a few times and its always good. They use a local coffee brand. The atmosphere is nice and laid back. They have a community board and a childrens corner. The croissants they make are divine. We always get a few items and try a couple new ones. They always rotate the scones and other pastries they make throughout the week.Highly recommended place for a bite and a cup of coffee with or without children. The owners and employees are very sweet and very professional!

Blackbird is the place to go if you just want an unpretentious good cup of coffee and something good, sweetish, to eat with it. Had the sticky bun with nuts, so good. My friend had a cherry scone, said it was great. Everything seems fresh. Its kind of open, not private or quaint. Thats the only thing, thats a minor slight, for me. But like it, will go back. Good coffee, good goodies and breads.

This is the best bakery Ive found in Ohio. Everything is so great. Dont let the line scare you it moves fast. The ham and cheese croissant is great for a quick breakfast. They have really good bread and cookies as well. I have never had a bad thing there. They also have dog treats so bonus points there. The coffee is rising star so its also really good. The spot has plenty of seating inside and out. They have bulletin boards of goings on around town. The parking lot is a little tricky so pay attention and go slow.

Amazing bread, great selection. I have never had anything bad here. Their happy hour before closing is a great time to stock up if you have a freezer. Its my go to spot for bread to have with soup on a cold night.

So they dont really have gluten free options but my husband LOVES a lot of their breads and pastries. I also really enjoy their coffee and chai. Its a great place if you need to sit for a few and relax or to get something to go! Around the corner from some great shopping (and best yarn). The staff is always so nice. And I could stand in the corner just to experience the AMAZING smells that greet you the moment you open the doors!

Really good bakery products--breads, pastries, croissants-- and good coffee make this a popular destination on weekend mornings. Expect a line, but usually a fast moving one. No way to go wrong. Great for grabbing a ton of stuff for continental breakfast for house guests, or sitting down with coffee. They even have a kids area decently set up to allow you to enjoy a few extra minutes after the kids finish their almond or chocolate croissants.

Best bakery in Cleveland. Our friends from Europe feel that it rivals bakeries there. Delicious, flaky pastries like raspberry croissants and pecan sticky buns make it worth waking up early on the weekend. Really everything they make is exceptional. And they serve great, locally roasted coffee.

I met a good friend for coffee. This is usually the first place that comes to mind as my friend lives in Lakewood. I had a coffee and an incredible raspberry croissant. Both were amazing good!!

Best ever artisan breads of every type imaginable. Quality is extremely high and products are ALWAYS fresh. Everything Ive ever tried at this bake shop has been fantastic. There is no other bake shop in this area, of which I am aware, who provides such consistently delicious breads, croissants, and baked goods of all sorts. Ive had breads and croissants in Paris, France, and I believe everything baked at Blackbird is as good as or better than anything Ive every tasted anywhere. Ive been to Blackbird at least 30-40, perhaps 50 times--always a positive experience and the absolute best product in the area.

Amazing bread (which they will slice for you) and an array of sweet baked goods ranging from cookies to sweet rolls. E had their savory crossaints with feta cheese and ham. Their coffee was strong and delicious! I had a latte. Perfectly made with a cute heart swirl. The lemon short bread cookies were light and crisp.

Literally the best coffee I’ve ever had, period. I get an Americano every morning and it wouldn’t be far from an overstatement to say that it is the highlight of my day. They even have their own eponymous blend - the Blackbird Blend - from local roasters Rising Star. Compared to Starbucks or your typical coffee house, it’s just on a completely different level.Aside from coffee, the bread and pastries too are equally delicious, and are very reasonably priced. Quite honestly my favorite establishment in all of Lakewood. If you haven’t been yet, you have to go. They are seriously the best. 🖤
