They lost my Key Fob and 3 of them were out there trying to pry my doors open to get in my truck that they locked themselves out of and could have used the fob that they lost! The key that I bought and paid for is broke and will not stay on my key ring.. “brand new key for my new ignition” they didn’t put my steering column back together right it’s still apart and can stick 2 fingers in it! The horn and buttons on my steering wheel do not work and still not sure what else doesn’t work! Telling me they want it for another day and a half after having it for a full week already!! $1700 I paid for it not to be done right at all!! The tech that did this shouldn’t be working there and I should get some money back! Shouldn’t have to pay $1700 for something that wasn’t done right the first time and I have to bring back to have fixed right! Not a good experience at all and hope that when it comes time to make this right they DO!
They quoted me $1,217.44 to do front wheel bearings and a front axle I was able to find a Private mechanic to do it instead and come to find out my axle was just fine
Im pleased with the efficiency of the business and personalbility of the staff. There is still some unforseen issues, yet was welcomed and encouraged to bring my vehicle back to address and rectify said problems. I recommend this facility.
Attempted to take my car here a few weeks back and Im extremely glad I didnt. I had three systems go out on my car at the exact same time showing they are probably connected somewhere. Asked a relative who restores cars for fun and he informed me that those systems are all connected to a fuse in the dashboards fuse box. After telling the guy at the counter the systems that went out he proceeded to tell me those systems arent connected anywhere and Id have to pay three separate diagnostic fees to have them looked at. After informing him that i know they are connected he rolled his eyes and scoffed claiming again they are not connected. Just got my car back from a dealership mechanic who listened to what I had to say and checked those fuses first. It was indeed a fuse that came loose from that very fuse box. To conclude the people at Lakewood auto electric are both arrogant and ignorant. Dont waste your money letting them guess and check randomly on your car.
The owner indirectly refused my business. When I told him I was referred to him by another company and he looked at me and looked away I thought something was weird. Then, instead of taking my information and starting a ticket he asked me questions like what state did the car come from and if I limped it to his shop and if I know what limp means. I entertained him for a bit to see where this was going but when I realized it was nowhere I asked him the question, why keep asking me questions if you have no intentions on working on my vehicle to which he said good luck as I walked out the door. Needless to say my vehicle is at another auto electric shop and so far they’ve offered basic decencies such as common courtesy and appreciation for my business. I’ll let you all know how it goes once the work is complete but I Do NOT!!! recommend coming to this place.
Excellent, professional, did the job in a timely manner, reasonable cost, very happy with the results
Avoid. Paid $1500+ to have repair done. Left shop only to have lights turn on, on the dashboard. Turned around and took it right back to the shop after pick up and was told my ABS module was bad after they hyped up how great their diagnostic scanner was. After having a second opinion it turned out that they crossed up wires, along with some wires not even fully connected and the cmu couldnt communicate with it. Had other shop make repairs cause why would I have lakewood auto electric fix it when clearly they misdiagnosis it the first time. Reached out about getting refunded, provided documentation of other repairs to prove their work was not done correctly. Been rude, unprofessional, hung up on, horrible customer service and owner refuses to talk to me and has refused to refund me.
Awwfulllllll customer service. Very rude and short on the phone and even hung up on me when I was still asking questions. Then when i got there eveyrone was very unhappy to work on what i needed help with and not a good place to go at all. Everyone very rude and not helpful. 0 stars if i could.
Ive been to Lakewood Auto Electric twice this year and had a great experience both times. The staff is always helpful, friendly, and responsive. The first reason I went in was for a parasitic drain on my battery that I had brought to several other mechanics and nobody else was able to figure it out. Lakewood Auto Electric properly diagnosed and fixed it same day. I came back because the negative battery terminal wire was bad, which they quickly diagnosed and replaced. They also used my battery warranty to get me a new battery from AutoZone and replaced it for me for free. They went above and beyond for me each time and I was always met with professionalism. Especially when it comes to electrical issues, I highly recommend.
These guys are simply the greatest at what they do! They were so kind and so professional. I called today and they were able to get me in ASAP to fix the issues I was having with what turned out to be all of my lights on my Ford Escape (an electrical nightmare it seemed). Two and a half hours later all of their work was done and I got to drive away in confidence that my car was fixed. I highly recommend this business to anyone having electrical issues with their vehicle and I’m very surprised to see so many not so great reviews. Great customer service and very affordable prices!!
Called to ask a very simple question. They were so incredibly rude Id never use this business if my life depended on it. And apparently they dont even know how to simply relocate a fuse
My 2013 Ford F-150 periodically Wouldn’t start, wouldn’t take a jump nothing no power it was obviously an electrically issue, had it towed to Phil Long Ford they had it for 7 days and couldn’t find or fix the problem. 7 days! But it would start so I drove it home. 3 weeks later got up to go to work same issue this time had it towed to Lakewood Auto Electric they had it repaired in 2 days 3 days ahead of schedule and I haven’t had a problem since, these guys rock they know their stuff, I haven’t had a problem since ! Highly recommend if you want it done right go their first!!
Adding electrical problems for years best it was Best Buy and car toys hooked up a remote starter to my car and was draining my battery within 3 days now the problems fixed its beautiful thank you
I had an electrical wiring problem with radio in my Jeep. Took to another shop who said they fixed it, but didnt. Then took to Lakewood Auto Electric. They got me right in, after inspection told me exactly what it would cost, and then completed when promised. Very satisfied.
Very dishonest people with fake good review. They will charge you $130/h for just doing nothing. Be careful with these scam.
Never go to this shop. One of the worst shop I have ever been to. They charge me more than $200 for doing nothing except hook up the car to the computer and tell me why the check engine is one. They first charge me for 2h* $130/h, then change it to 1.5 h. This is very simple to do with a computer reading tool. Their business will disappear soon.
Awesome people great work. But not cheap
They were recommended but could not perform the work they were recommended for. Hmmm?
Briant was extremely knowledgeable and helped me out in a real pinch! I am very grateful to Lakewood Auto Electric and will return any time I have electric issues. You can trust these guys!
Jace and Briant are amazing. I took my car to Firestone and had to take it back to them 3 different times and the problem still wasn’t fixed. I was referred to these gentlemen who were able to diagnose the issue straight away. It seems absurd to me that anyone could have a bad experience here. I realize it’s hard in this industry because most of the time only mad people take the time to write reviews, but for every bad review is 100 good ones that didn’t get written, and truly these two were the kindest most professional and patient people that I’ve encountered in a long time. They took the time to explain exactly (and I mean in great detail) what was wrong, which was appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.
They told me exactly what they needed to do and exactly what it would cost, and it worked our perfectly.
I dont trust these people and I feel like they were way overpriced they said they were going to do one thing and they did another I do not recommend this place. It has only been 8 hours since I picked my vehicle up from Lakewood Auto Electric so I still have to see if its going to run properly in the coming weeks.
Super efficient very talented individuals always on time with delivery as promised. Highly recommend these guys. Great customer service. Highly experienced automotive electricians . Competitive pricing.
Highly recommend taking your car here! The service is great and they do excellent work. Got to meet the owner and he really takes pride in his work.
Totally disrespectful guy! Don’t go there. I was trying to explain my car problem to decide towing it or not. He said that if I was concerned about 100 dollars for towing, I was poor enough to be capable to pay him. He also shout that he is much more expensive than car dealership in a way to get me out of his place. Show this guy some manners by not dealing with him at all.
We were referred to this business for electrical repairs. On our first call, all sounded positive. However, arrived to drop off and was treated horribly by the owner, Brian. Was told to take our vehicle and threw the keys on a counter; we had questioned the time needed for repairs, as it differed from a previous call about our issue.
I’ve heard great things about this place but in calling up the shop, the employee kept cutting me off and telling me things I already knew instead of listening to my actual problem and why I was looking for what I was looking for.He then hung up on me and needless to say I’m not going to be trying their services despite hearing they’re very skilled simply because the customer service was so poor.
Great place for auto electrical diagnosis and work.
They seem very knowledgeable the girl alee should be fired for how rude she is I would have paid the 1000$ if she wasn’t so rude she blew up when I asked to explain what the issue was. The owner Briant on the other hand was a very nice guy. An was straight forward and explained everything great and helped a lot.
Took my sons car to them and asked them to check a tail light circuit that blew a fuse after a radio was installed. They came back with a $850 quote to fix, said it had a power distribution issue and a short in the wiring. (They gave me a written statement of these problems) This fix did not sound correct (sounded like a scam) so I did not authorize a repair.I unplugged the radio, put a new fuse in the tail light spot and Shazam!, the tail lights worked, and it did not blow the fuse.Soooo! There was no power distribution issue, and no short without the radio plugged in, we will be taking it back to the radio installer to correct the mis- wired radio. This place is a Scam! It is apparent that they did not even do this simple test of checking the circuits with the radio unplugged, as we told them the issue started after the radio was installed.Since this experience, I learned though a friend, a Nissan master mechanic of 25 plus years, who worked at the Nissan dealership located right next to Lakewood auto electric, that this type of pricing and scam work was common knowledge to him for the last 8 years or so.He repaired a Maxima that they had worked on, Cost of the repair, to the customer was $300 at the dealership, Lakewood Auto Electric had quoted 4 to 5 thousand to replace the rear half of the wiring harness to correct the issue.Update, 1-7-20 after best buy looked at the radio, they found 3 problems with their radio installation, fixed all of them for free, due to installation warranty. Dash lights now work, their wiring of the radio was the cause of the dash circuit fuse blowing.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Paid $1500 for them to fix the problem on my truck. Said it was the alarm and that will take it off for another $1000, but I had warranty on it. Then got the alarm taken off but problem remained. They brag about their computers that can fix every problem, but they just scamming people.
Do not go here. This place is a rip off. I understand diagnosing electrical problems in cars takes time and time is money. When you somebody over the phone $500 to diagnose some headlights and thats a little excessive. The dealership is so much cheaper and better quality work in this place. The woman on the phone is real bitchy when she talks to you. If this was the last place on earth and my car was broken down I would still not go here ever.
Kuerig and wifi and under two hours to replace calipers rotors pads etc. I was included in the process and felt respected by everyone there. Will come again.
Worst customer service ever! Guy who answered was no help at all and did not seem to want to do his job... Rather send me to another service place which is more expensive hence why I called them in the first place.
I had issues with two separate vehicles (Saturn and an RV) that no mechanic could figure out but Bryant was able to get both up and running. Very happy with the service and results! 5 stars for being able to do what a normal mechanic couldnt do and being amazing during the process.
Best place to get electric done in all of Denver if you ask me. The staff was extremely knowledgeable. We were on our way to a vacation and had got no more than 5 mins down the road when everything went haywire. If it wasnt for the owner going well out of his way and above and beyond to help us our vacation would have been lost. Thank you to everyone that helped us at Lakewood Electric, we really appreciated it!!!
If you feel like getting robbed go here I paid them 130 just to diagnose my vehicle with an electrical short that i already told them that i knew that was the problem when i droppee it off they then call me the next moring and tell me that with the diagnose and 2 hours of labor it would be over 500 and that was just to locate the problem... ummm I thought that was what the 130$ was for. I then politely over the phone told them i would pay for the diagnostic and pick up my vehicle when I get there i told him I dont have a problem with paying the bill i just want him to show me where the short is, he rudfully denies to even talk it over with it with me or to show me where the short is... He told me and I quote the short is somewhere between the engine and the rear of the truck i would have to take apart most of the front of the truck to pinpoint it for you but you didnt pay us to do that So i replied your charging me 130 just to tell me what I already knew he had no responce and just said im not going to argue with you i truly wish i could pay google just to let me give them a neggative 5 star review i wouldnt return if they were the last people on the planer that did electrical work
DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO LAKEWOOD AUTO ELECTRIC FOR ELECTRICAL REPAIR!LAE worked on my Toyota 4Runner electric door locking mechanism twice and turned an electrical malfunction annoyance into an electrical DANGEROUS SAFETY HAZARD by their FAULTY and UNPROFESSIONAL work; whereby the electric door locks will not allow entry into or exit from the vehicle by normal activation of the door locking mechanism either by key, remote or manual operation from inside the vehicle. At $125/hour labor rate and 4 to 5 hours minimum diagnosis charge and holding my vehicle twice for a total of 5 days, their work was FAULTY, pathetic, sloppy by leaving tools and debris in the vehicle, incorrectly remounting the driver interrior panel and lying about the original condition of the vehicle. I would have been better off just leaving the original issue alone!
Back in 2010 I took my mustang here to get the gremlins out. They were extremely helpful and looked over my car and told me everything that was wrong and needed repair. They did a wonderful job the 1st time.Since I was pleased the 1st time, I took my car in to them to see if they could pinpoint why my battery was being drained so quickly, (same car years later maybe 2015)was told I had to pay over $100 just to diagnose the problem!! Who has $100+ an hour to give these ripoffs? I dont even make that much per day!! Never going back!
Lakewood Auto Electric the girl who runs the desk is very approachable shes very knowledgeable she is very good at doing her job they do very good work so far I just had it done. to me theyre very costly and very expensive but they do good work if it last and I dont have any problems its well worth it
Brain was great at what he does, great service too. I came to him wanting to do a modification on my jeep, every place I talked to said it could not be done but brain even though he was skeptical believed that it was possible and so now I have audio controls on my steering wheel ;)
Very helpful stuck by their word and I appreciate that, will send them more business if needed . Thank you guys for your honesty .
This place charged $137.90 for diagnostics, no maintenance whatsoever. They stated my bulb was burned out, and when I asked to see it, they said they had lost it. I know it was not the bulb. Along with complete incompetence, they were very rude and uninformative. Please avoid this place!!
They do good work, however their prices are kinda high
I had no idea they do so much. Not just auto electric, but answers to all of lifes questions like why are we here? whats our purpose on this big blue marble we call earth? It says right there on the sign the answer to a complex world Thanks for the laugh guys
270.00 for a diagnosis dont think so
I went in a few weeks ago with my sons 87 Bronco, The wiring harness is fried beyond repair. Allee was very nice, told me the procedure to replace the harness under the dash, gave me an estimate and a time frame. Unfortunlately the cost was a litte too much for an old truck and well try it ourselves. With the pointers Allee gave we might get through the repair.Thank you for the professionalism and honesty.
Took my wife van because none of the accessories worked. They pinpointed it to the bcm. They put in a used bcm and most of the accessories worked. Ended up taking it back and the found that the bcm was bad. Replaced it with a new one. Everything works now. Please understand that electrical and electronic issues on cars are very complex. I am an auto tech and I did not want to get in to it.
I brought my truck in with no tail lights, it left in working condition. As far as the hourly rate of 125 per hour and the claim of 4 hours to fix the problem, it seems somewhat high, but I certainly could not have fixed it myself and was not there to witness the work so I can only say that they did what they had told me they would. Nice enough. Nobody is ever going to be in the best place when talking about a 500 dollar repair bill.
The service is terrible. The place is extremely expensive. Additionally, there is a considerable chance they will brake something while they are fixing the original problem and they will not respond. Please do not take your car there!
Extremely overpriced, rude and condescending.Failed to fix the issue I brought my vehicle in for.STRONGLY suggest finding somewhere else.
I made an appointment to have my Chevy Trailblazer due to the headlights suddenly going inop. I was told by the young lady on the phone to expect an $1100 bill and to leave the car for two days.. I also was told that they have done 7 other trailblazers recently with the same problem.I fixed it my self with a $31 relay from auto zone. This outfit should be reported to the State Attorney General
Disgusting experience. Kept car for 2 weeks and blatantly lied about part and labor costs.Ali, you and your boss are complete liars.
Fixes every problem I have brought to them... way to gosh dang expensive.
Terrible work, over priced and incompetent. Left tool in engine compartment.Avoid this business.
Best in Denver. And Lakewood.
Did above and beyond the service I expected. Will return if needed again.
Unfortunately I was charged almost $700 to unplug a module
Extremely rude staff and a big rip off overall.
Terrible Customer Service, rude staff and blamed an electrical outage after the repair on us, claiming it was completely unrelated.
I went in there to see if they could pin point a problem for me for a minor issue I was having with my van.All he had to do was look in my van to see if I had my 2 6v batteries connected in series the right way.The Mf wanted me to schedule a 2 hour appointment for this. What a rip off.I would not do business with someone who wants to take money from people in a unprofessional way.
They charge 125 to check your car... too expensive.
Expensive scam.. ran like a back street garage? Where is the class for $100/hr?
