I got a pre purchase inspection on a high mileage used vehicle at HP. Very satisfied with the service I received, they told me every issue with the vehicle, honestly telling me what is important to address and whats not (I am mechanically inclined). Ive had to deal with alot of shops manipulating me into spending more money but HP absolutely did not, great shop. I highly recommend. They also charged me on the lower end of the estimate despite telling me it could be twice as much considering the mileage, one of many things that demonstrates their honesty.

I recently took my Chevy Silverado to HP because my old mechanic retired. I came here to have my truck checked for an oil leak. It turned out to be a water pump failing instead in which they notified me of the issue which I am grateful. I had an appointment made and monitored the coolant levels in the mean time. Took my truck and they had it fixed in less than four hours! The price for the part and labor was fair as well. Im glad I came here. Thank you Don.

These guys are awesome! I was told by a chain oil change place that my steering pump and valve cover gasket needed to be replaced...and quoted almost $1000 to do both. Not only would HP beat that price significantly, but after their inspection, they told me that they didn’t see any leaks in the steering pump and that it was probably just the gasket cover leaking down onto the pump making it look like the pump was leaking. So they replaced the gasket cover only for cheaper than what the chain store quoted and I was on my way! Highly recommend for honesty and affordability!! I’d give more stars if I could!

Quick, accurate diagnostics and honest pricing make this my go-to for auto repair. I recommend calling in advance for an appointment, but these guys will fit in emergency repairs as time allows. They have a nice waiting area, clean bathrooms, free coffee, and the shop is kept very clean. I recommend them!

I got an estimate from another local mechanic and it seemed too high. So I asked the guys in an online forum and they said that it was.Then I took my car over to HP Automotive. Dons wisdom and mechanical skills saved me $700 over the first estimate, and my car is driving so much better now. Its a relief!Ive been back there several times since then and am still 100% happy with them.In my entire life ( Im 67 ), Ive never before found a mechanics shop where they were affordable, competent AND HONEST. They are honest, reliable, & professional. I took my civic to a different shop because the clutch was acting funny, they said I needed a whole new clutch and it would be 1200. I couldnt believe it so I took it to HP and they said my clutch needed to be adjusted. They saved me a 1000 dollars because they were honest. I highly recommend HP to my family and friends because it is so hard to find anyone honest and realiable in this industry.

These guys are great! Theyve gone out of their way to make my life easier when its come to my car problems. Just one of many examples was the week they squeezed in 3 pre-car-purchase inspections, understanding my limited time frame. Don is an honest man. What he could have easily charged us almost 600.00 to fix he recommended an alternative solution that cost lass than 100.00. We will never go anywhere else now.

Were very happy that a friend recommended HP Automotive. Our car leaked coolant but only when the engine was cold. Don had us bring the car to his shop the evening before our appointment so that he could see the leak in the morning when the engine was cold. HP fixed the leak and Don suggested that we leave the car another night so that he could check in the morning to assure that the leak was fixed. There was no leak the next morning. As it turned out the cause of the leak was a poor job by another auto repair shop. Well return to HP Automotive for future maintenance and repair work.

Great place to take your auto for repairs. They give great same day service, the technicians are friendly, knowledgeable, and accomodating. They can work on most makes and models and lead you to the right place for services they dont offer. The owner, Don, has done business in the lakewood area for atleast the past 15 years and has been a joy to work with on all of the viaits I have made over the past 5 years. If you are looking for a great team of mechanics that are reliable, HP Automotive is definately one I would tell people to check out.
