I would recommend anyone looking for a Jeep and for a trustworthy seller/mechanic to start here. Although I ended up not being able to purchase the wrangler I was looking at, Tom Sr. Was great. He kept me updated with what was going on with the Jeep and even gave me tips and what to avoid when looking at other Jeeps from other sellers. If/when I do find a Jeep I will definitely come here to get it worked on.

Tom Sr. and his crew are solid, honest, hard-working, great guys. We bought our beloved XJ from Tom, and from the minute we met him we just knew he was trustworthy and honest. I trust him implicitly with our Jeep and will absolutely make the drive from Boulder when we have real work to be done, or when we have Jeep buying/selling needs again. Thank you High Octane!

Found a used vehicle on carfax and reached out to them. Tom Sr. was easy to communicate with and not pushy to make the deal. It was an easy decision after a smooth test drive and thorough look over. Completely satisfied with the purchase 2 weeks in. Highly recommend if you dont want some cheesy car salesman breathing down your neck.

Purchased a Jeep from here, great quality and very happy with the experience of having to purchase a vehicle and honest family staff. They know their jeeps and don’t bs. When buying a used car it is nice to know what your getting into and as I said honest and good people. They even helped me after I had some parts stolen off my jeep just recently. I recommend them as I believe I can trust what they say and that is not something I can say about most places.

This is definitely a muscle car buying place for men. There was mice feces on the dash of the truck we drove. The price was pretty high for all the problems it had. They definitely arent focused on sales because I had to seek them out to test drive and ask any questions. They were busy other places.

Tom, Tom and Mark are very friendly and honest, Mark the mechanic is very knowledgeable and wont try to sell you something that is not broken. The owners are very friendly and greet you as you walk in and give honest no BS answers when talking to them about repairs. I find this shop the best around and would rather give my business to a family owned and operated small business then to a money hungry company that only cares about the money and doesnt care about my Jeep. Mark is the only mechanic that will fix my Jeep.Thank you for all you do.

Review №22

Do not go to this place ever! They say High Octane Performance Cars and muscle cars yet they wont buy any of them, only jeeps. They said they only take jeeps, the guy works on his jeeps himself instead of professionally fixing and selling, and its a very dirty place with not a lot of structure. Would not go again or recommend to anyone oh and to add onto it, your going to try arguing about my review. Amazing. I didnt have to be on your lot for all of 1 minute to find out the type of place it was. When the first thing you see when you walk into those kinds of places is a guy under one of the cars fixing it while it is on the lot to be seen it puts off a bad image. Reading the other reviews Im not the only one. On top of that is the jeep we looked at you had put up for 10000 dollars. In which excellent condition Kelly bluebook lists that at 10000. This jeep was nowhere near excellent. It had issues that were all to obvious. You would be lucky to get 8 for it, and then you sit there complaining to me that you dont know why it wont sell

Review №23

Ive always believed that you should never buy the first car you look at.After deciding to buy a Jeep as a toy and to do some work on with my kids, the first one I saw in person was at High Octane. I liked that they were a couple of regular guys (father and son, in fact) who specialized in Jeeps. After seeing about a dozen more over the next week, sure enough I was back. Not only was the Jeep everything I wanted and needed, the price was great, especially considering they had just sent it out to have the rear end rebuilt. They could have sold it without the rear end rebuild, and probably at the same price considering the other options I saw out there. But it needed to be done, so they did it. After we made the deal, they even went ahead and did a full tune-up, not because it was strictly necessary but because it was the right thing to do. There was a slight hiccup with the paperwork when I went to register the Jeep, but Tom took care of it quickly and professionally, no questions asked. This is probably the first online review Ive ever written, but I thought it was important to help support these guys because they deserve it. You wont regret doing business with Tom and Tom, and you probably wont find a better Jeep out there. If they have the one you want, save yourself the headache and just buy it.

These guys are great. I didnt see any jeeps that I was in love with on the lot but they were fairly priced. Both Tom Sr and Jr gave me some tips on buying a used jeep through a private seller. A few days later, I bought an 89 cherokee and brought it into the shop for them to look through. Mark got back to me and gave me the run through entailing all of the issues needing to be addressed. Mark was patient and answered all questions I had over the phone. I had the guys replace my ball bearings and then I did the remainder of the work myself. Tom Sr encouraged me to do some of the work myself to save money.Tom Sr followed up with me a few days later to see how the work was going (I was not expecting the follow-up but greatly appreciated it!) They also answered some questions I had with the work I did on my own, which was a huge help. These guys are honest, fair, and detailed. If my XJ will were to ever break down on the highway, this would be the shop Id have it towed to.

Ive bought two Jeeps at High Octane. I guess its a good place to buy used Jeeps, however they dont pay attention or care if their vehicles are in good working condition. The first Jeep I bought was in great condition, and I havent had a single issue with it. I was so happy that I went back the next time I needed a vehicle.I test drove one with a blown wheel bearing and they were oblivious until I told them. This should have been a warning sign. Unfortunately the second Jeep I bought had major issues. Within two days of buying it, it started leaking coolant and overheating leaving my wife and 2 kids stranded on the side of the road. I took it back to High Octane and they said it was the water pump. They replaced this for $100.A couple days later the upper radiator hose exploded and the vehicle blew a head gasket. Again stranding my wife and kids and putting them in serious danger. I took it back to High Octane again (like an idiot) and they replaced the head gasket. This took them 3 times as long as they originally said (3 weeks vs. 1 week), though they did give me a break on the price. However the discount they gave me was dwarfed by the cost of renting a car for 3 weeks while they serviced the vehicles of customers who were paying full price. This still did not fix the problem. A couple of days after getting the vehicle back again it began to overheat again. I pulled off the road, let it cool off and took it to another mechanic. Turns out the real issue was the radiator fan module. This $10 part was the problem all along, and is apparently a very common issue with Jeeps.Do not take your Jeep here for service. Hopefully you can learn from my mistakes and and understand that they do decent repair work, but without thinking about the interaction of all of the vehicles components. Simply being able to do a repair without asking why/how it needed to be repaired is not the sign of a master mechanic, much less an expert on Jeeps.

Had a problem with my slave cylinder on my 93 xj. They were helpful at first getting the jeep at the shop, but the owners son gave me a rough price of around $300-400 to change out, well the owner priced it at around $700, I told him thats not what his son said, so he adjusted the price, which was fine for remedying that problem but what i got in return was a half-ass job. They changed the slave cylinder and after that my jeep hasnt shifted right since, went back several times they would bleed the system but still wouldnt work right, as i would try to get a solution to the problem they seem to act as though they werent sure what to do, so i gave up on these guys ever working on my jeep again. Wouldnt recommend taking your jeep to them, nice people but i think they were learning as they go at the time. Price was too high for what i got. I had another guys price a complete clutch change for less than $500 parts included, just saying. Not satisfied.

Do not ever take your car here, or really buy a car from them to begin with. I have had a plethora of issues with parts on my jeep they claimed to have fixed prior to purchasing, making the abilities and knowledge of their mechanics and staff completely unreliable. In addition, with recent work, they quoted me a price that they were clearly unable to meet. While I am fully willing to pay for work done, and work done well, I am not at all okay with being to lied to and under-quoted on work, and being deceived to along the way about it. To top the experience off, they wound up not being able to complete the task they quoted me on and shipped my car parts to a different shop, without permission. Adding on extra cost, without consultation. Silly me to think a custom shop and primarily jeep shop would be able to fix a part every just brakes, firestone, and les schwab can fix. After the experience, I wound up paying for a whole new oil gasket, when I was just told one seal needed replacing to fix a small oil leak. The communication, or lack there of, that occurs throughout this shop is completely unacceptable. In the end, I got my jeep back, with the initial part I needed fixed STILL broken. Luckily, I am not mentally challenged, and took my jeep home, stopped at an auto zone along the way, and had the part replaced & jeep up and running within two hours, all for a whopping 10 bucks.Save your time and money and1: take your car to a professional.OR2: Watch some youtube videos, and read some car blogs. Its not rocket science.
