I purchased a battery for my 2019 Chrysler Pacifica at an advance auto; was told that though they could not install it. American Performance could and they would do it at no charge. I was surprised at that, but went to American Performance the next day. I told Robert what I was told; he grinned and said no. To my surprise he said he would do it free anyways since I was told that he would.I very much appreciate Roberts assistance as well as his cheerful demeanor.Thank you for your help.

Robert took great care of me, explained what was wrong with my car, showed me and didnt just tell me, and was quick and thorough with the diagnosis and repair. Id suggest this garage to anyone looking for honest answers and dependable mechanics.

Robert is a genuinely great guy, polite, professional, good hearted and extremely knowledgable. Saw him interact with other customers and how he did business in general and he was like that with everybody. Got my engine running as good as new after several people and places (including the manufacturer of the engine) couldnt figure it out, and gave me a really solid deal on top of that. The best customer experience Ive had at any automotive related business, Ive been recommending him to everyone and will continue to do so, check them out! Places like this are really rare anymore and should absolutely be supported.

Went in because I thought i needed wheel balancing, turned out to be another issue. They let me know what I could do to fix it and topped off my wiper fluid and aired down my tires free of charge. Will definitely be coming back for any work I need on my truck!

Did a very job finding out what was wrong with my mini van and was on road shortly very nice understanding gentleman that answered the phone even told me had one of his guys at part store I was at about a half a mile away or less from shop would go there again if broke down or needed work done while in the area I was visiting used to live close by like 30 mins or so away first time there

They do great work, if you care about your vehicle you can trust them. I have custom vehicles that I would not trust to an average shop but they are not an average shop. Robert is the man, he has a huge amount of knowledge and can help you steer your build in the right direction or tackle jobs other shops would pass on.

American performance garage in lakeland is by far the best for anything you need wether its from an oil change or putting on some major power to your car, this is the place to go. Robert is THE best for anything you need for tuning/performance, him and his team gave me the best experience. After the performance tune on my Camaro, i couldn’t believe the difference it was like a whole different car. #1 in all of Florida trust me on that.

Robert was so amazing and wonderful. We are from out of town and was in a bad situation and he and the owner were angles in our time of need. God bless them.

So I bought a 350z hr a few months ago and it had so many problems, and still does, but tons less now. It was slammed static, rubbed, death wabbels at 70mph+, and I knew I couldn’t just take it to any run of the mil mechanic. These guys really know their stuff. Fixed my turning signal, my horn, helped me find out my clockspring was broke, thus I couldn’t use the horn, despite them fixing it, they recommended what to get for my suspension, and installed and set up the coilovers PERFECT for me. Super transparent, helped me figure what parts I needed so I could install some myself. Robert even set up extensions for my coilover dampening adjusters in the back so I can easily access them, and is super knowledgeable. There’s still work that needs to be done, diff bushings, axels, exhaust, audio system, body and paint, but we’re getting there, FAST.I will say, they’re not the cheapest in the world, but in no sense of the word are they overpriced, you get what you pay for. I’d go back to them if I knew someone could do it 20% cheaper, just for the honesty, passion, and genuine care they put into their work.If you’ve been told “it can’t be done”, come here. Those are Robert’s favorite words to disprove.Also, they’re not JUST an amazing aftermarket shop for modding your car and dialing it in perfect for you, they’re also a family shop. Oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, the basic stuff. Go to a chain full of people that have no idea what they’re talking about, or come here, for a genuine, true mechanic, that loves his job, and his clients.5 all day, son.

Im leaving this review again to clear up any misunderstanding about my experience at American performance Motorsports. My girlfriend and I drove 2 hours to view trucks listed on craigslist, ads that are refreshed every few days. I tried for a month or so to talk to these people on the phone, they seemed to never be available. So after seeing the ads refreshed several more times, I decided to make the drive to their shop to personally view used truck inventory. when I arrived I immediately noticed several of the trucks that had been listed on Craigslist in the parking lot. I asked an office full of no less than five people if somebody could please show me what they have for sale. He basically said they dont have anything for sale.... It was the strangest experience of my life, to advertise something and decline to sell it? After coming back home, I noticed that the ads were refreshed again with the same trucks for sale, and so Im assuming he is a liar.
