Excellent service! Made me feel comfortable and confident. Needed last minute appointment to replace car battery. Went online at 7 pm and was able to get a 9 am for next day. Showed up early and they took me right away. Service Manager Raheem was so helpful and made me feel confident in my decision to go to Pep Boys.

Brought my wife’s car in to get just a simple oil change . Got there early, before the place was open so I could get in and out quickly because I work nights and need to get some sleep. The door opened and I went inside to a very grouchy employee named Randy . Now we have had bad experiences with Randy before in the past, we had told him our car needed an alignment . He argued with us that it had to be something else and they will have to do a look it over before they could tell us what is causing the issue. After several hours they come back with yep it was the alignment. After hearing that Randy got very angry and frustrated and had another employee finish checking us out. Going back to today : open the door to walk in and he is just staring at me while he walks behind the counter!No hello, no good morning, nothing . After seeing I’m going to have to initiate this conversation I said good morning I am needing a oil change. His response is, do you have a appointment? No I did not, at the same time not one person was working on any vehicle, now he is again staring at me, like how dare I bother him ! this has to be the worst customer service I’ve seen in a very long time. Randy says, uggh, let me see if anyone is free. Which I can clearly see at least 2 people are standing around . After checking in a very thorough 5 seconds says would I like to make an appointment. This guy has got to take a class on dealing with customers, his attitude and body language and tone was piss poor at best .I have always taken my vehicles to Pep Boys cause they do good work despite the inflated cost. But after 20 + years of customer loyalty I will be seeing a new mechanic.

Never have been found of any Pep Boys but this location has employees with horrible attitudes and little knowledge though they believe they do. I literally had to draw out a tool (a certain crank pulley tool) they told me no such tool existed so I had to drive 85 miles home to get the one I own. Terrible staff

Went there for a regular oil change and this guy Regine charged my daughter for something she did not need or ask, a simple regulars oil change that was going to be $50 - 30% disc = $35 total turned into a $69...So sad how they try to take advantage of my teen daughter.Be aware of that at this location, on top of that this guy is telling me that the oil has not being change in 3 years and because of that she needed the most expensive oil, such a lie, my husband changed the oil a few months back but it was not recorded thru the VIN number, I hate to deal with dishonest people.

My daughter went in there to purchase two tires and the two employees she dealt with were complaining the whole time about having to do their job, had a terrible attitude with her, wouldn’t even look at her face when talking to her.They were trying to force her to get all four tires, when she only needs two.Worst experience ever to have to have to deal with when you’re already having a bad day trying to fix your broken down vehicle so you can go to work and get your baby.Very disappointed in the people in this place. Sad that there’s no respect for eachother any more. What happened to customer service and doing your job!

This Pepboys has really gone down hill. The store manager was so rude to me, I was in shock. He said what are you going to do now? Im the manager with an extra smug smile. Luckily for me, he doesnt own PepBoys :) I called corporate, was sent to another location and received the excellent Pepboys service that Im used to.

Clean waiting area. Friendly worers at the check in desk. Came in for an oil change, and the gentleman who helped me, recommended the Penzoil as there was a 30% off coupon for it. Saved me money and got the job done fast and done right? got me as a customer!Well done Pep Boys! Keep up the good work and Ill keep coming back!

When I called the Lake Worth Road location, I asked if they would be able to patch a tire today that has a screw in the tread. I was told they could do the repair today so I took my car and requested a patch. I happened to be looking out the window at the technician who was working on my tire and noticed he was plugging the tire. I asked the in store service man why my tire was being plugged when I requested a patch. He snidely replied that theres not much difference between a plug and a patch but went out and asked the technician to remove the tire and patch it. It was an unpleasant experience because I felt like I was inconveniencing the in store service tech. There was another tech sitting at the register playing a game on his tablet the whole time I was there and the phone rang at least 50 times without anyone picking up the call. The technician who worked on the tire was very pleasant when he brought my car out front but I will probably never visit this location again.

These guys are great. Always so nice. I have a hertz rental and they take care of the service and oil change for me and they always do a great job and are pretty efficient. Even plugged a tire for me for free. Took 5 minutes. Highly recommended. I cant speak for theyre prices I honestly dont pay attention because hertz pays but they do a good job every time.

I work the Uber/Hertz program.Have to get oil change even as I ama customer.Anyway had bad experience at a competitorwith them adding on unneeded servicebecause they saw the Hertz wallet.So dreaded going in for another oil change.Raheem was personable and did warn me that it may take awhile for approval.I was in and out within an hour. Nogames just did the needed service.

This store doesnt take customers seriously.My friend came here for oil change and they program his car key, something that he didnt ask for.He went back to the store asking for help, and nobody was able to help him.Somebody from social pepboys ask him to reply with a email, and so far they haven contacted him.So my friends, be careful with this store specially if they make you wait more than 2hrs for an oil change service...

What type of store you guys run here?I brought my car for oil change and the guy that was supposed to receive my payment(Joseph) was not polite and made me wait longer just to pay the service.In addition I found that the mechanic modified my system and now I cant turn up the volume because they activate my key options which I didnt ask.Be more professionals, Dont treat customers like that please.Today (07/29/21) finally someone identified as manager of the store called me! They dont seem to take responsibility in what the do on your car... now 4 month later I still WILL NOT RECOMMEND you to visit this store... other way if you have an issue with the service they provide you have to wait this long to get their attention

Can’t believe this place! Brought car in today to have rotors resurfaced, brake pads replaced and synthetic oil change on a simple Kia. Quoted $250 over the phone for but after bringing it in they claimed it was $2200.00 to take care of everything! This is a rip off and them trying to take advantage of us despite our previous loyalty! We left and you should go somewhere else too! They just lost 2 more customers.

Thank you Joseph for sticking with me through the mundane parts of the Pep Boys system. I go to Pep Boys all over the state (and all over the country too) for my job. Why? Because they are all connected and I don’t have to remember what wipers I bought last or when I got my new tires. Well unfortunately that is false - Pep Boys’ computer systems are NOT all connected. I had to call all the Pep Boys I could remember buying items from to find when my tires were purchased and what the warranty was. EXTREMELY frustrating experience for the guest (and the employees I’m sure)! Joseph stuck with me through my frustration that the stores systems do not speak to one another and didn’t just walk away from me and the computer. I’m sorry for the rant but thank you for continuing to help in spite of it all.If corporate Pep Boys reads these - please connect the service system to all Pep Boys it would help out A LOT. If you can enter my phone number at any store location and retrieve my phone number and address... you can find a way to add my car’s service info too! (The reason for the 4 stars was due to Joseph not giving up and the quick service from your staff- thank you! Based on the computer system it would have been a -10)

Great customer service. Very respectful and attentive staff. They try to get you out of there as quickly as possible, and keep you informed during your wait. Waits are usually not that long. Recommend that you make an appointment before your visit.But no problem if you dont make an appointment.

Store hours are misleading. Online and on the entrance it is posted that the store closes at 7pm. I walked up at 6pm and an associate locked the door and puts up a sign saying parts is closed. That is unacceptable and shows the store is mismanaged. If the parts department closes at a different time it needs to be posted.

Owner of a 2018 volkswagon golf R. I drove my car to pep boys on 10/21/2020 around 8 am to purchase a new battery for my car and they gave me the wrong type of battery!!!! causing my car’s computer to fry as well as wire harnesses!!! had to have my car towed from pep boys to a shop and i was told by one of the mechanics after i have been helped by two older mechanics who were very polite that he was not going to help me anymore because they dont want to be held liable for damages! People please pay the extra money and dont bother with this store and take your car to a place where they atleast give you the correct parts.

I definitely would not recommend having my automobiles worked on at this location. Highly exaggerated quotes on parts and especially labor. Id go elsewhere if I were you. Remember those mechanics work on commission so theyre going to try to charge you as much as they can and for work that you might not even necessarily need.

Great, professional, courteous services. I took my vehicle for an air conditioning repairs, and although it was very complicated to fix. They got the job done. Raheem is an amazing manager, very knowledgeable and most of all he updates me on the progress of my vehicle. Let me start off by saying I am a college student. My 2016 Toyota truck was having issues and I wanted to get the battery and alternator tested, Raheem lied to me and told me I needed to have both replaced... I elected to just get a new battery which cost me $200 because he oversold me and told me it’s what I needed. I went to a mechanic the following day who showed me that my alternator was fine and the readings were perfect. Avoid going here at all costs Raheem will lie to your face to and rip you off

My son and I had a great experience at this store. We are from NJ staying in Palm Beach and discovered a flat on Fathers Day. My son changed the flat and we rode the spare to Pep Boys to get our tire plugged. Michael Witz provided very professional and thorough service. It took a little longer than I expected, but it was Fathers Day and they were busy! The waiting area was clean with coffee available. Michael was very friendly and made sure they reset the tire information on my Honda. Thanks again!

Save yourself some aggravation...I had my car towed there for what I thought would be a minor repair. This was on a Saturday night right before New Years Eve. At first, my experience was good! They stayed in touch with me and let me know what was wrong with my car (they said I needed a new motor) and then stayed in touch as they put together a cost. The problem came when I said i was not going to have them do the repair and i was sending a tow truck. I spoke to five associates, including the night before the tow. Tow truck comes as scheduled and they wont release the car. When I called to find out why, the asst manager said she didnt know why, she had my keys.. They claimed the tow truck never came. Then, as I was about to hang up, I was told about a diagnostics fee. The asst manager and manager swear that I was informed about this fee and I was not and promised to hold my car until I paid it. They insisted all of their associates are seasoned employees and would have told me about the diagnostics fee. I assure you, if I had known about the fee and agreed to the fee, I would have been fine paying it. Likely, I would have declined their diagnostics and had it towed then, but I was never told about it (the fee). On principle, I called the corporate office. After no response from corporate in the promised 24 hour period, I called again and reiterated my situation. I then get a call from the store that my car is being released with no charges. GREAT! The tow truck goes and picks it up and drops it at my mechanic, but calls me on the way and said he had to push the car because the keys wouldnt turn the ignition. Today, I go to figure out what was going on, and sure enough, they handed the tow truck driver the wrong keys. I now have my keys and my car. The keys were in the clear folder with the work order. I suspect the store was upset with me about the call to corporate and the refusal to pay for something I didnt agree to, so they gave the wrong keys to the tow truck driver on purpose, basically as my pay back. Now I will be assessing what damage, if any, was caused by the wrong keys being put in the ignition. The saga continues....Great job losing a customer Pep Boys. I hope you are satisfied.

I wish I can give this place a zero they quoted me $3,000 for all these repairs I go to two other mechanic (two because I didnt believe the first one at first) and they told me theres nothing wrong with my car. The only thing they recommended was regular maintenance of my struts which are due. These frauds try to scare me saying that there was something wrong with my axle. Both mechanics said theres nothing wrong with my axles theyre perfectly fine. If you go to this place make sure you go to another mechanic to get a another evaluation dont let them take your hard earn money. Also my back passenger tire windup having a nail after they were done inspecting my car so watch out for that too.

You can understand that at times a service station will take its time to ensure that the customers vehicle is done right. That being said, after being at the store before it opened to ensure that there will be a quick service. I waited 2 1/2 hours for 2 tires. Now I think that they are good individuals working here but the really need to work on a few time management skills. I wouldnt recommend here if you have things to do with your day.

I went there to have a battery replaced. The whole thing was a bad experience. Service Manager Raheem continued to tell me stories that proofed to to be not true. First visit I had an appointment to have the battery replaced Raheem told me they can’t do it because they don’t have a computer to register the new battery for my Volkswagen. When I contacted corporate, I received a call from him that they can actually do it. They don’t seem to have any system to determine what type battery a specific car needs. Then he he wanted to charge me an additional $50.00 on top of the $132.00 installation charge for registering the battery. When I questioned him about that, he told me it takes 30 minutes to do it and therefore the additional labor charge. I watched the technician do it and times it, it took 3 minutes and he was done. I hate when people lie to me, will not go back there!

Had battery issue so called this location to see if I was still under warranty since I had purchased it 2 years ago. Sonia answered the the call, at first she couldnt locate the purchase so I told her I will be looking for the receipt. A few minutes later I received a call from her that I was under warranty so to come in. I was greeted by Jose which he helped me with the exchange. I didnt have any tools so they were able to lend me some. I am very grateful for what both associates did. I just moved to this area and for sure this location will be the store for all my car needs.

Horrible horrible horrible. The service desk person never acknowledged me. I understand he was on the phone but he could I said I will be with you momentarily. He even put the person on hold and walked away never acknowledging me. Now my appointment was at 11am, I did not expect to have it done exactly at 11am but it never went back until 1148am. I didnt even get out of the door to leave until 115pm. This appointment was made so they should have have been prepared. changing tires does not take that long. If you cant help it never go here for anything they will take all of your time. Whoever is giving the people good reviews must know the people who work in the shop because I would never go back there. I recommend tirekingdom their a little more expensive for work but it is worth it. Without an appointment for tires being changed on the same day I took my care in, I was out within 1hour.

So this actually happened. I came here to get rear brakes for my truck. I installed them and then I noticed something funny. On the Box the brake pads had a groove not on the brakes I installed.I thought thats interesting, so I went to the manufacturers website and there too ... the brake pads had a groove which did not exist on the pads I installed. When I went back to this Pep Boys I asked a girl at the counter if they could please tell me why the pads I bought do not have a groove when they clearly have one from the manufacturer.The girl at the counter said its probably a manufactures error, I was told to return the pads for a refund. I said, I just want to know what you sold me, and the pads have already been installed.Sorry, I was told, We didnt install them so we cant look at them.She expected me to go back remove the pads and then theyd tell me what pads they actually sold me.Long story short - I wouldnt believe it, if it didnt actually happen to me. Not that I have to say it but ... avoid!

I went in to prepare my vehicle before a long road trip, and everything went as smoothly as it could. I went there early last year and it took quite some time for a tire change, but this time they were even busier and got triple the work done in half the time! They inspected everything necessary and made sure my vehicle was tip-top. Manager was great as well and took the time with me to figure out what I exactly needed, as I am on a budget. You cant go wrong here, and there are plenty of shops in the vicinity to walk to while you wait for the work to be done.

Went in for a new battery (Firestone had told me mine was not charging). They told me that I needed a new alternator.. The price was steep. While waiting I decided to check on how long it should take ($labor$) and shopped online (not their app) for a new alternator using Chrome browser.. Pep boys had the best price. Online purchase was 25% less than what they were charging me for an instore purchase. They had to match their own price. Shame shame. But they did honor their prices. I shouldnt have to look online for better prices.

Absolutely horrible. 2 months ago I have a wheel bearing replaced. While that was being fixed they broke the ABS sensor. After a week the new part was in so I took the car back to find out that did not fix it and another part was ordered. Another week I take it back to be told the guy that can fix it was not in. I come back a second time that week to get it put in and the ABS light stopped coming on. After I left and got home I noticed the brakes gripping and pulling to the left. End of the week I go back in now the fifth time to be told by the manager that the problem I explained was normal with cars and his truck did it too. Really? It was late so I came back again with a mechanic that took off all the brakes to find good rotors and new pads and was told he didnt know and they couldnt help any more. Even though I kept stressing the only thing that changed was that ABS sensor. This visit I was also asked why I bought wiper fluid that they put it in as a service if you get worked on. I said well Im empty and have never had the wiper fluid topped off. I go a couple weeks and the problem is still there. I go in to schedule a time to let it be looked at again for a total of 7 times. This time they have the car 5 hours and call me to tell me they couldnt get the brakes to do what I keep telling them. I go back test drive it with the mechanic and in 7 minutes I get it to do it 5 times. Hes looking at it while we are talking to someone about getting the corporate number. And honest to God. The time it took to get that number he came back in and said he found the problem... A bad ABS sensor. I am told once again a new part will be ordered and in an 3 days. I asked will I be called and was told yes. A week after the part was supposed to be in I call again to find the part has been in I just wasnt called. I cant tell you how many times the phone is allowed to ring and ring. I have stood at the service counter for several minutes multiple times to have staff walk by me and not say a word. You would think if you make a mistake you would want to rectify it and make it right. If you dont know find out dont push it off and hope someone gives up. If your business is customer service and you have at least 50 other competitors doing the same thing you should excel at customer service. I hate the thought of going in here but I dont know what else to do. Hopefully my problem will be fixed this last time and I can rid myself of the nightmare of an experience I had here.

It is the worst place to buy or solve a problem that comes with your car. Customer service is terrible, rudely. There was a line of more than six people waiting and a person attending, giving priority to the phone, stationery work while all the people were waiting.All he said was sorry but its Sunday and I have a lot of work. We had more than 10 minutes online and they never served us. We had to retire because it was really an emergency and No one wanted to help us.

I dropped off my car approximately 10:30 for an oil change, left it in perfect state. Explained to the manager which was the one I dropped my car off with how to turn on my vehicle with a special remote. Left & I get a voice message at 3:00 PM! They said they didnt know how to turn my car on when I left clear instructions ! I called them back & they hung up on me twice ! So I show up & they said they didnt do anything because they didnt know how to turn my car on. All this time I was waiting for nothing ! Since 10 I grabbed my keys & tried leaving but my car didnt start. My remote apparently was messed up ! I am positive they tried forcing my car to start very wrongly that the remote died. I call the manager over & he claims he only tried turning it on twice ! Liesss. I said to him so can you guys at least take a look to see whats going on with my car? He said our technician isnt in here & our 3 mechanics are not experts in this Im like wow are you even a mechanic ? He said I know somewhat what kind of place is this???? These people dont know what they are doing ! I had to bring a mechanic over right away because these people dont know how to service a vehicle. I am never coming back to this place again !!!! Worst shop ever !

Went in today for an oil change and was helped by Jeremy. He seemed to be the only person there who knew what was happening. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and patient with myself and the other customers. It seemed like the store was understaffed but he took the time help everyone the best he could. He even worked into his lunch hour so I could get out of there sooner.He is a real asset to the store and understands customer service. Ill be back for all my car service needs.

I wished I could rate Zero for this store. I made appointment online 1 day before for oil change. When I showed up on time, they refused me because they didn’t have available mechanic and they only accept call-appointment... 2nd time, I called directly 1 day in advance to make and secure for an appointment. I was aware that I might have to wait for 1 hour for the next coming mechanic and another one hour for my wheel alignment. When I showed up on time, they again refused me and said no one available, they were so busy. I asked them why they did not call to let me know so I did not have to drive 2 cars here. So what was the point of making appointment? Why they accepted for appointment and then refused it? Then they responded that I can stay and wait for 4 hours until they close to see if they can have someone to handle my car. I never have any bad experience like it before at any store before. Never ever come back here.

Drove all the way here to get a free A/C check, the guy told me $50 to check my levels, he said for the free check he could walk out and turn the knob to know it doesnt work. This guy deserves to get the teeth slapped out of his mouth. Sucks that its such a nice store with garage employees and service. Also, most people going in know a little about cars, dont tell me all these things you have to do to check, its literally one cap you unscrew. Went to Autozone right next door, they checked for free and ended up getting my $50 for a A/C recharge

Scheduled an appointment online with confirmation. When I arrived it wasnt on their print out, so I was informed I would be treated as a walk-in, then told the oil change was twice the price listed. Still I waited. No one else was in the lobby, or came in for 30 minutes, and it still took 50 minutes to take my car back. Then another 30 minutes to put it on the lift. Its now been over two hours since I arrived, and my car is just now having oil put in it. I highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Had a 2pm appointment for an oil change at 3pm still waiting for my car to be brought into the bay. In the mean time 3 walk-ins were put ahead of me for various services and have left. Next time I will just walk in screw making an appointment.

I made an appointment for 2 pm online for an oil change. While there I decided to change windshield wipers. A retail staff member helped me with the selection as the back wiper is a difficult size. He was very patient and professional. Ironically, the lack of organization regarding purchases made to be installed there created confusion and a need for me to locate the receipt later (a totally unnecessary and frustrating situation). Although the wait was very long, the manager apologized sincerely and made adjustments that allowed me to leave with satisfied experience. Unfortunately, it appears there is a significant disconnect between corporate management and the employees in the trenches. Unless that disconnect is resolved, I believe this company will cease to exist. Good individuals at the store... Poor corporate management and specifically online scheduling matching available mechanics.
