Thank you, Jerry, for repotting my orchid! I brought my phalaenopsis to Green Thumb, hoping they would help me repot my orchid as it’s been a year since I was gifted the plant. Jerry not only helped, he even explained how to better care for it. He said I had overwatered my poor baby! Their prices are actually comparable to Home Depot and they are far more knowledgeable! I will be return.

Absolutely the best nursery Ive been to in a long while. Wonderful selection, I was able to find all of the plants Ive been searching for during the last year and not been able to find. There was plentiful parking and an amazing staff of very helpful people that KNEW the varieties they stocked and sold and could take me right to them. I could have spent hours browsing, but my visit was fast and efficient. I really want to go back and browse. Sadly my home is 75 miles away but it would be worth the trip.

Green Thumb Plant Nursery has become my local go-to neighborhood plant nursery and gardened supply store. My life as a plant parent and Gardner has thrived because of this store and business. If I am not looking for something to buy, I find a lot of joy in just walking around the nursery grounds. I hadnt been to Green Thumb for over 20 years and found it has grown substantially. Employees were very helpful and courteous. Got annual flowers, vegetable plants including carrots, peas, etc. Also bought flower and onion bulbs to plant and new garden gloves. Great place with large variety.

No judgement when I brought in my orchid, which was overwatered with roots rotting and should have been helped long ago. A nice gentleman helped me transplant it to a proper pot, provided the bark and service at no charge. They are experts and so kind too!

Green Thumb has such a great selection of both usual and unusual plants, and their staff is super helpful and informative. I brought in a drawing of my small patio and what limitations I had with sunlight/time of day, and got a list of suggested plants that were all winners!I love even just visiting the store. Ive passed by this nursery for five years and am kicking myself for not visiting it sooner. It looks tiny from the I-5 or from El Toro, so Ive been sleeping on Green Thumb (ha). However, when you enter the nursery--WOW, is it huge! It has so much variety in plants and definitely the ones that plant enthusiasts want. The pricing is great too!

Definitely not the cheapest game in town but without a doubt the most knowledgeable and helpful people you will find when it comes to your yard and garden. So everything today is about the big box store and the price. However, there is something to be said about a helping hand and a local small business. Today my wife and I decided to finish a section of our backyard that needed a professional touch so off to Green Thumb. We walked up to the first person we saw and thankfully we found Dave. Dave instantly took us to a small office where he took our phone pictures and created a sketch of the area. He asked what we were looking for and showed us some suggestions and within 20 min we were walking the nursery confirming his suggestions. He was spot on. We loved his ideas and plant choices. We used his expertise for a lawn fertilizer selection and other bits of information. They offer this personal experience free of charge. No credit checks or commitments, just a terrific small business experience. The value here at Green Thumb goes way beyond the sticker price.

Can I give ‘em 10 stars? Can I give Patrick 12 stars? This is THE place to go. I stalk Patrick (me and everyone else) and ask him his thoughts, he always has great ideas and gives you another perspective. Such a great person!! I went in to buy some hydrangeas and asked what tree to put in the corner above my hydrangeas. He asked to see a photo of my yard, he said, “you don’t want a tree, you want a shrub” and continued to explain that a tree would ruin my walls and my neighbors fences. Moon nursery didn’t mention that when they gave me a $1,200 quote for a tree AND they saw the same photo. Gee, thanks Moon, work on commission much? Patrick is going on my Christmas card list because he’s starting to become family. He actually cares and spends the time with you to feel confident. I really like Patrick. I might start calling him Uncle Pat. He also made a great point that I want an evergreen in the corner because my hydrangeas are going to be sticks in the winter, I’ll want something with leaves in the same area. High five Uncle Pat! Good nursery, really good selection. Some stuff will be pricier and some will be reasonable priced. Reasonable prices on pots and a lot to choose from.

Was looking for citrus fruit trees, they have a large selection and exactly what i was wanting. Went to 3 other nurseries and none of them had any citrus trees, let alone clementine mandarin oranges - green thumb had 2 varieties. Plants were very health and already some fruit on them. Green thumb is not very close to me but they are worth the drive.

Large selection of plants and potters. The staff is really friendly and quick to ask if you need help or guide you to what you’re looking for. The store is organized. It’s a bit overwhelming at first but then you quickly realize there are purposeful sections. Their prices are reasonable.

I cant say enough about how friendly and knowledgeable the staff here is! I dont know who is in charge of setting the mood, but they are killn it. Im looking forward to going back and staying my next project. Massive thanks to the team for making my return to the world fun, friendly and full of hope.

Great selection however some staff rude, some staff great. I had a question and was told just goggle it by a staff out in the nursery. Other staff were great and helpful.

I love gardening and now especially during the COVID crisis. My garden puts me in a good mood. I am working on an area where I removed several rose bushes and now enjoy walking thru Green Thumb for ideas for replacements for that area. Green Thumb puts me in mellow, and good mood.

I was amazed by the size and wide range of products. There were also plenty of employees around so finding someone to ask questions to wasn’t a problem.

Green Thumb is hands down the BEST local nursery!!! They have everything and the staff there is very knowledgeable. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Sure some of their prices might be higher than say, Home Depot, But your are paying for better, healthier plants. Green Thumb plants are healthy and very well cared for and THAT is worth the few bucks price difference. Plus, the nursery is BEAUTIFUL! lush greenery, babbling fountains, aromatic herbs, fantastic seasonal displays and staff who love to be there! Come see for yourself! Love, LOVE this place!!!

Great nursery. Some prices are a little high, but fair for the most part. Large parking lot and cur side pick up. A lot of hard to find plants here as well. They have everything tou could possibly need from soil and pest management to patio furniture and supplies. Lots of roses and fruit trees. They even have aquatic plants here. They also have herbs and vegetables and a wide selection of indoor house plants. Will definetly come back here again.

Green Thumb is one of only a handful of small businesses in Orange County open to serve gardeners needs without having to go to a big box chain. Their selection and expertise are second to none. They publish YouTube videos and newsletters which provide valuable info to anyone from the casual condo owner to the master gardener. Bring all of your business in this category to them; they deserve it.

Excellent nursery with knowledgeable employees. Nothings more frustrating than to be a garden department and not be able to find someone who knows what theyre talking about. This place clearly requires their people to know what theyre talking about.Excellent selection of outdoor plants, indoor plants, accessories, pots, and soils. An extra bonus is they have a drive-through area where theyll load your potting soil right in your car without you having to get out and lug it yourself.Go early if youre going on the weekend -- it gets pretty crowded.

I just love this place! The plants are always so healthy, great prices, and a huge selection. They also have a great selection of water plants - only place I can find in the area that carry for my pond. Highly suggest you visit soon if you have never been. The Christmas Village will get you in the mood for the holidays!

Green Thumb in Lake Forest is always my first choice for all things garden related. They have a great variety of plants for the ground, pots, and for ponds, accessories, garden related hardware, fertilizers, pest control and great gift ideas - even a bit of fairy garden accessories and appropriately sized plants! Their staff has always been super friendly and helpful - and they are so knowledgeable. If I have something going on with a plant, I will take a pix, and bring in a leaf (in a ziploc bag as to not spread the ailment) and they have always been spot on with how to treat it. And a plus - they support the Mary Lou Heard Memorial Garden Tour the first weekend in May - that my garden is a part of!

Ive always enjoyed shopping at Green Thumb, although of late some of their personnel appear distracted and the customer service is somewhat lacking, although much better than the average home depot experience. Tried to return a dead tree which I purchased about a year ago, but they wouldnt offer a replacement because I couldnt come up with a receipt, and they say they keep no record of customer purchases.

My mom and I LOVE this place. The service is great and the plants are healthy. We go for everything from pots/plants to bird feeders. Her Christmas present is a guaranteed win because shes getting a very special item shes be eyeing for months. Cant wait to see the look on her face.

This is a very friendly garden center. They have many products like Rogers Gardens but with better pricing. They have great gift department and also a full line of outdoor and indoor plants.

Ive had a difficult year with insects and I am so happy that Green Thumb employees are so knowledgeable in how to treat and eliminate specific pests. Ive taken diseased leaves to diagnose the problems and have used Green Thumbs products and suggestions with success! The selection of plants are amazing also. I have other nurseries closer to me but Green Thumb is worth the drive due to the quality of plants and expertise!
