I’m so glad I chose to go here! I recently brought in two 957 Cayennes to get some aftermarket suspension parts installed as well as wheels/tires mounted and balanced. Huge shoutout to Tyler, Alfie and the team at Pacific German for doing an amazing job getting both dialed in perfectly. I appreciate all of their attention to detail, knowing the vehicles were properly taken care of in all aspects. Before anything starts, their quick inspection goes through and makes sure the vehicle is a good candidate to continue on with the installation. It’s super helpful and reassuring seeing the pictures they provide along side descriptions of current/rising issues that they noticed during the inspection. Having that, whether you go through with the recommended services or not, is very useful with creating a baseline or just acknowledging things that can be done as preventative maintenance before any issues later become even worse. I personally went through with all recommended services as they were definitely needed and glad were brought to my attention because nobody likes a janky non-cared for euro lol. There was never a moment I felt unsure or uneasy with what they were doing, they were happy to answer any questions I had as well as give tips/advice for any future references. Needed to have my 2009 Porsche 911 S / 997.2 oil changed. Browsed my latest copy of Pando and found the Pacific German ad. Went online and made an appointment for an oil change and requested a free safety inspection. Glad I did. Shawn was very thorough and I really liked the vehicle inspection report. The report showed that I needed new engine mounts, brake system flush and the the overall condition of the front and rear suspension. (Pictures were also included in the report which helps you see under the car) Shawn did say that my car was very clean and well cared for. With the recommended suspension repairs (which were a necessity) I would clearly maintain the high value of my car especially if I decided to sell it in the future. After careful consideration, I decided to have all of the recommended work completed and what a transformation! The car handles and rides like it came out of the Porsche factory in 2009. Additionally, I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the repair shop and how hi-tech everything looked while doing the final inspection before taking my car home.

I have been bringing my 991 in for regular maintenance and tire mounting for almost two years and have had the best experience here. It is worth the 60 mile drive for me to know my car is in good hands. Very honest shop with great customer service. I have a 2014 Audi s5 and did my research before taking it to any shop. Pacific German had the best reviews but after going there, I see why. These guys truly know what they’re doing, and we’re able to save me thousands of dollars that the dealership would’ve charged me. In the end, all I needed was a software update which they were able to do using OEM CAN tools, which aren’t available at many shops. Not only that, but they took their time to properly diagnose my car in all areas, providing affordable solutions across the board. If I wasn’t selling my car, I would have FOR SURE gone with these guys for the repairs - you could tell they take lots of pride in their work. Being a design automotive engineer and a serious stickler for who I trust with my car, I would give these guys the keys any day. You will not be disappointed!!!

Excellent and above Amazing serviceI recently purchased a used V10 R8. I took it to Pacific German for an oil service and to do a quick check. Shawn the owner is an R8 enthusiast and has owned four of them. Shawn quickly took lead on my car and they were able to find and diagnose a significant oil leak as well as a major service that was missed by the previous owner. They ordered all the parts. Sent me videos showing the leak and the repairs needed. The car runs better than I left it and above all Pacific German back all their service with a 24 month warranty.... in all these years I have never heard of such a warranty in any service shop! This in it self instills confidence in their work. Thank you Shawn and Pacific German. You have a customer for life.

I can’t say enough good things about pacific German. If you want a shop that holds high standards to the work they provide then this is the place to go. I’ve been to dealers and other independent shops and I always seem to end up back at pacific German to fix the issues created by them. Shawn is an excellent communicator and no BS. Price is definitely fair given the amount of detail his techs will go through to find the root cause. Highly recommend if you want your shop to care like you do about your car.

Great guys. Great shop. Tyler really walked me through all of the options. I wasn’t sure about the exhaust so he let me know when they were installing one on another car so I could stop by and hear it. Wasn’t sure about the lowering so he let me see one that had been lowered. I feel like a took a ton of his time and he was always very nice about it.My RSQ8 now has a new exhaust, lowered, air filter and 100 more horsepower. 😁Side note, when I stopped by, he showed me any of the cool cars that he had in at the time. Really appreciated that.

To start, Ive made the mistake of taking my GTIs, both current and past, to other shops and have regretted it. Why? pure laziness, I live about 2 hours, without traffic, from Pacific German. I now know that a little driving goes a long way.First things first, the staff are phenomenal, from the first call to the day you get your keys back. Tyler, who not only knows the ins and outs of the cars he works on, takes the time to research and ensure he meets the customers expectations.Second, Shawn, who I believe is the owner, seems to be there all of time. And not just during the listed hours, he is there after hours which is rare these days. He is extremely patient, even with his customers who have a bad case of OCD.Third, the shop is clean, very clean and the care that is provided to the cars is what you would expect at any high-end shop. You can rest assure that your GTI will be treated with the same care as a customer bringing in their Lamborghini.I look forward to bring my GTI back in the future.

I took my Audi R8 to Pacific German with a power seat electrical issue, which turned out to be a somewhat challenging repair. Tyler did not hold back, and dug into Audi wiring diagrams, and subsequently ordered the needed part, and then coded it with a factory scan tool. I give big props to this shop, as I know from experience that not every shop out there would have stuck with it like they did.

Very Professional and always accurate with estimates.I have been taking my wifes Pink Volkswagen convertible for three years and I am always impressed with the highly competitive service that I receive.They are always on time and budget and they will work to solve problems in different ways if you are on a budget.Also, they will stage repairs over time if that is an option, but they do not sacrifice safety.I feel personally cared for and respected.Hard to beat that kind of relationship with an automotive repair place.I was happy when I stopped going to other places that constantly lied to me.

I had Pacific German do a Stage II REVO tune on my 2016 Audi S3 as well as a Resonated Downpipe and I couldnt be happier with the results! Absolutely fantastic staff and experience, answered all my questions for a few days over email and phone calls before actually doing the install and it was right on time and exactly what was promised with no issues or concerns. Will be using Pacific German as my primary mechanical GO-TO for the foreseeable future as well as recommending them to anyone I know.

Went in for a few answers, and I think I have a PHD in tuning german cars. Tyler was super helpful and took plenty of time to run me through options. Tuning a brand new $165k vehicle is a little scary. But he helped lay out what can be done that isnt going to effect the warranty and damage my car.

I recently decided to buy a Porsche 911. I was primarily looking at the 996 and 997 generations. After doing a couple months of research and test driving a few cars I found a couple I was interested in. I looked up multiple shops, read reviews, and spoke to service advisors about their pre-purchase inspections. After speaking with Shawn at Pacific German I decided to pursue a car I found in Southern CA. Shawn was extremely knowledgeable and offered various levels of pre-purchase inspections. Booking with them was a simple process and they even emailed me a copy of everything they would be inspecting. The seller ended up canceling and rescheduling this inspection two times time but fortunately Pacific German was very accommodating. After the seller finally showed up for the inspection he quickly left after he heard the in depth inspection that was about to take place. Although I was disappointed the deal fell through I was relieved I did not make a huge mistake buying a car with existing issues.

After getting a $7,000 repair quote from a prominent OC Audi dealer I got a quick quote on line from Shawn at Pacific German. Shawn first called me to explain some repairs I might not need and some which he recommended. A very detailed quote which included adding front shocks/struts and carbon cleaning- both work he recommended. More work than dealer proposed for a total of $4,700. Quality certified pros. Service quickly scheduled too.

I had extensive work done on my 2007 RS4. Carbon clean, spark plugs, oil cooler leak, A-arm bushings, filters, new tires and alignment. Shawn and his team are very well versed with the RS4 (and most all Audis of course) and it was very comfortable for us all to understand each other. I had seen a YouTube video on a Passat CC that Pacific German built. It was an incredible transformation. I decided to take my 2019 Passat to them. I explained my needs and Tyler had the right solution. And by the looks of the cars in the mechanics bay they have all the right solutions for all German cars. Great job, even with a massive repair. Timing chain broke on a 2002 996, which ate a few valves, and involved a full rebuild. It took a few weeks for the job to get done since parts needed to be machined, but they kept me apprised of the process, sometimes with pictures as they worked, and the price was reasonable. Well, reasonable for a Porsche rebuild I supposed. Two months after the repair everything is working great. They did a free oil change 500mi after the rebuild to make sure there as no metal in the oil, no leaks, etc. Everything checked out. Great service.

They tried to see if there was a friendly shop near me, but the best bet was to have it towed to their shop, which I am so glad I did. One shop near me was trying to pull a fast one and wanted to charge me over a thousand dollars!! But I am so glad I didn’t do that and just had it tow from Riverside to their shop!!! Seriously there is no other place I will take my cars to, but to Pacific German. They don’t see you as “Cha-Ching” let make money, they see you as people, and turn you into a long-time customer. This is the third time Ive been to Pacific German (all unrelated of course). The service has been timely, fair and logical. So many places, when I speak the mechanic, dont seen to know what they are talking about, however, Shawn always has a reasonable, logical explanation for whats going on. Aside from that, his pricing is fair and he gets the job done quickly.Theres a reason I drive 30-45 minutes to get to Pacific German and will continue to do so for any issues I have.

This place is the fantasy factory for European cars. Any day of the week you will find some pretty amazing cars here getting extensive work. No expense spared on shop equipment here and clean enough to eat off the floor. I have come here for service in my GTI and my S4 and I couldn’t be more impressed.

Took my MK7 Golf R to Pacific German completely stock and and drove it back home with REVO Stage 3 IS38ETR, all I can say is driving this car, or should I say BEAST, back from the shop was a true pleasure and total surprise.With that being said sometimes things happen for a reason I originally was going with one plan with a different tuning company and thankfully that didn’t happen, I strongly believe things happen for a reason and that bad experience allowed me to be able to continue my research and find Pacific German.With their technology, state of the art facility and amazing quality of work they delivered me a Beast. Many times we wonder who is going to work on our car specially if you are a very meticulous owner in regards to how you treat your vehicle and how you care for it. A main concern I always had with shops is would they scratch it? would it be damaged? would the parts be installed correctly and by a certified technician not just a kid enthusiast?With Pacific German I had no worries, all those fears were completely taken away by being offered a quality service, with attention to detail and most importantly was guaranteed and backed up.Again, I can’t say enough great things regarding Pacific German, Shawn and Tyler are amazing. I left my car with 292hp and I drove it home with 500... thank you thank you, I am going to enjoy this.

Service is sub-par but the reason for my negative review is the dishonesty Ive experienced dealing with this shop. They tend to up-sell you or recommend services/parts that isnt the best fit. I took my car in for a oil change, afterwards the tech came out and stated I needed to replace this and that (I only took it there because my normal shop was fully booked). After getting a second and third opinion, both of them claimed Pacific German was pulling my chain. Disappointing to say the least...

Set an appointment for routine mileage service. Dropped it off the day before. They didnt get to it until late in the day and found a problem with oil filter housing. No call to inform me of the problem.I called them later in the day to see if it was ready; thats when I heard of the issue. They needed to keep it overnight. Next day I waited again until afternoon and then called to see what the status was. They didnt get the part ordered in time so someone had to drive 30 min each way to get it. Finally I got a text that the cat was ready at 5:20pm. Not one to complain, and this really isnt a big deal because I had another car to use. I go there because they are experts at VW, Audi, Porsche. Since they got into Porsche theyre prices have soared. Sean to owner knows his stuff and is excellent at diagnosing problems. I get service reminder emails from them which is nice. I would have thought they would be better at communicating during the process. I spent over $400 for an oil change (including $100 for the housing part) and someone to quickly do a routine inspection and tell me what I pretty much already knew and didnt give me an estimate for anything that needed attention even after asking twice for a specific issue I wanted pricing to fix. Its the third visit that Ive asked for that info and still didnt get it. In short, they are very competent at their craft, price reflects high end pricing, following through in communication is not up to their pricing structure.

I had my headlights replaced by a collision center under insurance and the shop could not get them to adapt properly. Basically my headlights could not be adjusted to point correctly and this impaired night driving considerably.They sent the car to a VW dealership to fix and the VW dealership could not figure it out or get the headlights to adapt either. I also had my go-to tuning shop take a look, and they were unable to diagnose the problem with the headlights.I then called Pacific German to see if they had any ideas and I talked to Tyler about it; Tyler seemed to really know what he was talking about and had multiple ideas on the headlights and how to fix the problem.I brought the car in and left it with them for a day and a half to figure out. Sure enough I got a call from them and they had figured out the problem and had the headlights working great.Really appreciate the ability this shop had to diagnose and fix a problem that 3 other shops failed to fix. Ive been living in LA for 4 years now and have gone through a number of Audi/European Specialists since Ive been here. I either feel like Im being lied to, played or they just really dont know what theyre talking about. I decided to bring my C6 A6 to Pacific German after seeing a number of recommendations on the ACNA Facebook group. Ive had a number of serious issues with my car in the past few years and Im really regretting having not brought it to them in the first place. I live in DTLA but making the drive down for a service was 100% worth it. Sean was completely straightforward and honest with me about the condition of my car and what he thinks I should do with it. While I think Ill be getting rid of my current Audi soon, Ill definitely be making the trips down to service my next one. Thank you Sean and everyone at Pacific German.

New SoCal resident and needed a reliable place to service my Audi A5. Pacific German were great! Friendly, courteous, good communication and, most importantly, did a great job at a reasonable price.

So fortunate to have found such an excellent auto service provider for our VW. I spoke with Tyler regarding getting more power out of our 2018 Tiguan. We love the car and while it handles great the AWD version is a bit sluggish. Tyler made a few recommendations with no sales pressure at all. They installed a performance module and a new intake and now its just perfect. They work on cars that cost 10 times what ours cost yet they treated us with honesty and respect. Also no need to go the the dealer at all since Pacific will do all your regular maintenance and its all documented and disclosed via carfax. So no problems with warranty coverage, and lower cost. They even had everything done ahead of schedule!

Shawn and his crew are the most knowledgeable and professional guys Ive ever encountered in the auto world! Theyre passionate about German cars and it shows in their work. They ran full diagnostics on my Allroad and worked up a very thorough (and fair) estimate. We scheduled the repairs and they got me into a rental car while the work was done. Live in a small town in the middle of the Arizona desert and want to make sure my VW is taken care of by the right people. Dealer told me brakes needed to be replaced next time I brought the car to them. Pacific German inspected brakes and let me know I still have life left in them before they need to be replaced. Ive taken my 2017 B9 to PG several times and the service and work is great. They have installed my H&R coilovers, 034 Motorsports rear sway bar, carbon fiber splitter and fixed my exhaust alignment. All was done timely and professionally.Additionally, I came back unannounced to have them readjust my coilovers and they took care of me with no questions asked. Thats customer service.They local, theyre open on Saturdays and theyre good. Ive recommended my friends in LA to drive down to get their VAG cars serviced and upgraded here.

Tyler is really bad at customer service. I called to get a quote on an easy install on a product that I was interested in and has great validity in performance on my car but he proceeds to tell me how he wouldnt do that if it were him and just run the stock (I dont care what you would do Tyler its my car and I want to do with it what I want. Plus dont you want to make money)? He has also prceeded to tell me I made a mistake buying manual and he would have chose something different. Bro you just insulted the potential client and tell them not to pay for your service. Then he wants my Vin number to get a quote on the vehicle? Why do you need my Vin to get a quote for an easy install on a car your garage supposedly works on all the time. They refuse to install anything other than the one clutch, exhaust, bov, intake, tunes that they offer. So if like a certain brand or want to just experiment with brands these guys are not skilled enough to perform the install. Rude, arguments about what car I should have bought and the parts I shouldnt install. Dude I dont want your opinions I want a job done. Lol this place is a joke every time I try to get a quote from them they treat me like this. Do you treat all customers like me? Or am I special? Either way sucks because these are the closest guys to me, guess Ill drive up to LA just so I dont have to talk to Tyler again and his all knowing demeanor, he must be a young guy I suspect he like to chase customers away or at least me. I have bought and installed a clutch, intake, tune, springs, sway bars, exhaust, short shift kit currently up to date, funny thing is I called Pacific German during each time I made an upgrade and decided against them because of Tyler and his attitude, I never argued and remained very silent about my complaints just to see how he handles business. Ive probably spent close to 7-10k$ in mods that Pacific German missed out doing the jobs on because of Tylers poor outlook on customer service. Sean the owner nows has called and harrased my girlfriend? Screamed at her on the phone until she was in tears and called her place of work? How they hell does this guy know where my girlfriend works? This is starting to get scary...

PG is the place to go for VW/Audi repair and service. They are very knowledgeable. Have all the same tools as the factory techs for a fraction of the cost. They worked with me on what started out as a big job with lots of small addons to make it very affordable and a fast repair. Major props. Will be going back as long as I own VWs!

I had a great experience with my 2013 VW GTI here. Cat-back Exhaust, lowering, and spacers last year. Now Im finally headed back for the big boy tune and the downpipe next week. I highly recommend Pacific German. The Setterstrom boys will set you up right, they do everything above board, and they just want you to love your car.

Wow, awesome. I wish I lived in Cali because I have a 1987 VW Scirocco and I wish Sean from PG could be my mechanic. I had a problem replacing my clutch and info and mechanics that know old VWs are hard to find. I knew about Pacific German from some VW blogs I belong to. I looked them up and called and to my SURPRISE even though I live in New York and will never be a customer because of the distance, they went out of their way to help me. They helped me pin point the problem over the telephone and then even emailed me the part numbers to order AND sent detailed instillation instructions.This just does not happen often. Ive been ripped off left and right in the past. If you have a VW and need service you know you can trust these guys because they helped me even thug they knew they were not going to make a penny off of me.Nice to know there are still people like this in the world.

My car was towed in un-drivable with something wrong with the drive-train, I suggested it was a loose shift linkage informed them of the extensiveness of the newly rebuilt components and my lack of confidence in my former backyard Audi mechanic, I told them the tachometer was still working and it felt like something had simply come loose while I was driving it and left it in their hands, I later called them to even TELL THEM IT WAS LIKELY THE AXLE coming out the hub side after doing some research.I got it back several days later with several hundred dolllars worth of diagnosis fees, shift adjustment fees, and you guessed it, about $500 in completely unrelated heater hose replacements (these DID need to be done) they informed me they had adjusted the shifter but something was wrong with the transmission, they were very vague with what they actually fixed, why had my car not been able to move before and now it could??? They never mentioned anything about the axles except they were in poor condition and ripped rubber boots. They mentioned because of this they should be replaced at some point. OK, point noted, I can deal with some ripped rubber boots for a few more miles as long as the car can drive.I drove the car NO MORE THAN 10 miles before the exact same thing happened, PACIFIC GERMAN left me stranded on the highway for 2 hours while I used my last AAA tow to bring my car back to Pacific German. I waited another couple days and miraculously got the car back in the same condition as before when they had finished working on it (meaning they AGAIN fixed whatever went wrong but refused to tell me what it was and made darn sure not to admit any fault) They did not charge me for this miracle again either. I would have refused payment. This time the owner personally talked to me which was nice, said they again adjusted the shifter (NOT my main concern at this point) and threw out a $6,000 estimate to rebuild the transmission. Haha. Not going that route just yet.I did not trust them or the work they do at this point, I drove my Audi (very carefully) to the same guy who worked on my Fords for a quarter the price and he told me the axles were a mess, and likely the main cause of my problem, in fact before even looking at the car from my description he said it sounded like the axle had come loose. Why could he do this and Shawns shop couldnt? I ordered new solid front axles from JHM as was my plan anyways since they were leaking grease (as noted by pacific german) and my local American car guy installed them, he said when he took out the old axles they literally fell apart . I also had him do all front end components while he was in there, struts, tie rod ends, control arms. It feels like a new car. I have now driven over 100 hard miles and am starting to trust its reliability again.Definitely not a good experience.Id like to personally thank Shawn for being so unprofessional, and for telling me my car came in as a POS, and still is a POS, and nobody wanted to touch it Ok, Shawn then dont. Save me $800 dollars and another tow while I sit on the side of the highway.Shawn is now threatening to sue me over this review but I will not delete it because its exactly what happened.

Brought my sons car here to have it looked over, after it was taking to the dealer. The guys at Pacific German found things that were safety issues that were either over looked or ignored by the dealer. Not a very good thing when it is your kids very first car. To say the least I will never trust the dealer with any of my cars again. When this independent shop is more concerned about the safety of your vehicle than the dealer, I think you will also choose Pacific German!
