Edited: Normal Preventative Maintained on a 5500 Ram 6.7 Turbo DieselOil change air filter change two fuel filter changes. Most other shops $350-400. ME Auto charged $850 bill. When I pressed them on the cost the manager knocked off $100. Which still puts the cost $300 over most other shops in the area.My suggestion is to Know your prices and get a quote before approving work.Update: Josh called and we worked out a better price. I appreciate his assistance. I feel this bodes well for the shop in general and is a good learning experience for both parties.

I’m a girl who knows nothing about cars, so I always get nervous getting work done and getting jipped on the price. These guys were so straightforward and helpful. I brought my car in with a headlight out. They quoted me a reasonable price to fix it. But after messing with the light a little more and reorienting the connector, they realized it was just loose and that solved the problem. They could have easily still charged me and done everything anyways, but they’re honest and great and I’ll be coming here for everything else now!

These guys were great! They installed my new Magnaflow exhaust on my truck and went the extra mile to make sure it looked and sounded great. They even did a drive by so I could hear how it sounds! I cant recommend these guys enough. They were also very fair on their pricing.

Called these guys up to install a borla s type on my 21 rebel, they had the best price around and managed to squeeze me in. The install instructions say 2-3 hour install, I was in and out in an hour. Everyone was super professional and down to earth, I’d definitely come back for any other work needed! Y’all use local give these guys a shot !

I am in a transitional period so I do not have my tools or garage to do my own work. After searching, ME Automotive had good reviews and were able to get me in and out quickly so I took my Type R there for a cat back exhaust install. Since my car is lowered and newer their mechanic took his time and made sure everything was done correct and clean. The labor cost is very fair for today’s shop rates. I will definitely return for future work.

I was just cleaning and washing my car and I notice this oil stain. Im disappointed, but I know things happen. After much thought, I have decided to write my review of ME automotive. This is the second time I gave them a shot to repair one of my vehicles and the second time I left with more things wrong than before.My car wouldnt start but I was able to pop the clutch and get it going. I misdiagnosed the problem and had ME automotive change the starter. I fully admit that was my fault. After they changed the starter, they said the car still wouldnt start. So I paid the diagnostic fee. The next day they called me to inform me that a plastic grommet near the clutch pedal had deteriorated so it couldnt be actuated anymore, hence the car not sensing the clutch was depressed all the way and wouldnt startThey repaired it and replaced the grommet. At this point I had replaced a starter I didnt need to and after the grommet repair, I was somewhere around $550. This is a fair price for the work. I also fully admitted the misdiagnosis of the starter was 100% my badI picked my car up and about 300 feet down the road I noticed immediately my radio wasnt working at all. I took it back and they fixed it about 20 minutes later. The radio was working when I dropped the car offThey stated that a wire had become loose behind the radio and was purely coincidental. That night I went to work and noticed that none of my lights behind the cluster were lighting up. In addition to that my tail lights were not working and neither were my climate control lights. I also discovered my window automatic up and down switches were not working either. I also threw a check engine light. This was all within 60 miles of leaving the shopI reached out to the service writer, who really did a great job with customer service. I first stated that is it possible that they didnt disconnect the battery before changing the starter and it caused a short. I asked this because it would explain all the electrical problems I had began experiencing. The service writer told me to come in the next day and they would check the fusesI came in the next day and they spent over an hour looking at the car trying to diagnose the electrical issues. When I realized they were willing to look at it for over an hour, I began to wonder if they knew these issues were caused during the starter install. They didnt charge me to look at it and their final conclusion was that a previous alarm install/removal was at fault for these issues. They quoted an additional $175 to fix the electrical issues and stated that any electrical problems I experienced were purely coincidental and was no fault of their ownI grew suspicious. I took it to another shop who was able to find the problem within an hour. Tail light switch relay. It had nothing to do with the alarm install and removal they had said was at fault. I picked his brain about all of this because I suspected that they shorted the electrical system during the starter install. He said more than likely thats what happened and they blew several fuses during the installIm not going to base it all on another mechanics word, but to summarize, all evidence points to a shoddy install of the starter causing an electrical shortArrived there and employed them to fix the starter. They installed a new starter. Changed clutch grommets. Car started. Immediately threw a CEL, radio didnt work, tail lights didnt work, cluster lights didnt work. Obviously, a lot more problems than I had before. They were adamant this was 100% coincidental and not their fault at all. Even though all of these issues occurred immediately after they touched the carTheir diagnosis of the alarm situation wasnt even the problem. Somehow, a tail light relay went bad all while they installed the starterIll say this, the service writer did a good job and helped me out as much as they could. However, no shop will look at a car for over an hour after theyve already fixed something unless they felt that its possible it was their faultUpdate: ME automotive reached out and offered to pay me back for the money spent at another shop to fix the problem

Honestly I was a little skeptical about trying a new mechanic but the way they treated was unlike any other mechanical shop I’ve been too. They knew exactly what I needed for my vehicle (it being a finicky) and if I needed anything else to help keep my vehicle on top shape. ME Automotive located at S. Old Hwy 81 in Kyle has become my go to mechanic! For me, it’s imperative I develop a relationship with employees and owners of companies with whom I do business. I’ve lived in Kyle for nine years and had yet to find a mechanic who met my needs. I’m the sole care provider for two children with disabilities. Accordingly, I was pleased to connect with Josh who was willing to accommodate our special needs. I no longer have to drop my vehicle off and walk several miles home. While I appreciate the exercise, my kids need me. Their staff is extremely professional and friendly while offering me a ride when necessary. The owner was kind enough to offer a discount when I brought two vehicles in for repair in one week. Their pricing is fair and their work is EXCELLENT!!! I have confidence in Josh and the team at ME Automotive. Therefore, I highly recommend their outstanding service!!!

These guys were awesome! A year and a half ago I got tires at NTB and they told me I needed brake work, and of they were ready to do it then. These guys are the best! My cars engine light came on one morning before work, and I had called multiple mechanics to try to get my car brought in that day, as I need my car to go to work. Every mechanic I called did not have an opening until next week. I gave ME Auto a call, and even though they were busy, they knew that I needed my car for work ASAP, so they got me in within the next hour! WOW! These guys were total lifesavers! They got my car in, found that my EVAP system had a cracked line, and had it replaced by the end of the day.The staff is also very nice, and I can definitely say that I will be coming back for routine maintenance. My experience with ME Auto, was absolutely amazing. They did everything they could to help me. They were very reassuring and ridiculously patient with me and my vehicle. Great auto shop, I highly recommend them! I had lowering springs and an exhaust header installed on my 2017 Miata. Josh and the rest of the guys were very knowledgeable and friendly. Pricing was extremely competitive, customer service was top notch, and I felt like my car was in good hands while it was here. I made an appointment this morning and came in. I was immediately greeted by Josh and we got right down to business. They did a thorough brake inspection and gave me all the detaols I needed. Very friendly group of guys. However, I found out it was way cheaper to just go through my dealership for serious matters. This place is good for oil changes, inspections, and diagnostics but their prices will put you in a position to buy a whole new car if youre not using your insurance.

Amazing technicians who were extremely honest and didnt try to sell someone who is not a car guy on unnecessary repairs. They fixed my problem and had me in and out in under 30 minutes on a Saturday. I highly recommend them to anyone trying to find a good mechanic in the Kyle area.

A couple of weeks back I was installing a bull bar on my truck and got stuck. One of the bolts I was trying to remove was on too tight and needed a compression tool to remove. I was out of luck because mine recently gave out so I was doing everything with a battery-operated drill and ratchet. I tried everything to remove it but had no luck. I took the chance of driving to 4 shops to see if anyone would lend a hand (tool) to remove the tow hook bolts from under the truck. I had no luck until I came to ME Automotive. The guys were happy to help and got under the truck right away. I had no appt, I was asking for help knowing I wasn’t going to purchase a service from them and without hesitation they offered to help and wouldn’t take cash. I can’t thank these guys enough. I wasn’t in a predicament I couldn’t have just taken care of later. Knowing the guys were that willing to help and immediately jumped in, has DEFINITELY earned my business! I’ll DEFINITELY be returning. It’s said a lot about their character!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!

Be mindful when you use their services. Knowledgeable mechanics and great for small repairs (oil changes, inspections, etc.) but they have over quoted me on two separate occasions for two separate jobs. Not sure where replacement parts are ordered from but their vendor prices seem steep. Leary of a shop that charges more for a job than the dealership.

This rating is only due to the fact that they couldnt figure out my buddies Corvette and I had it running and timed within a few minutes of getting possession of it. Yes they lent me a tool to adjust the idle and they tried to fix their wrongs that werent fully their fault but they did have the car for awhile and still couldnt figure the timing. And I kid you not I fixed it in their parking lot. But the management here is great. They will talk to you and make their wrongs right and all that, where the real issue lies is not much communication and that goes up to the boss Johnathan. Who knows maybe this is more for everyday type of repairs and not so much for vehicle like Corvettes although it is just an lt1 or ls1 like any other. Either way Im neutral about this place. But one thing is for sure they are fair and honest. Which is huge in mechanic game.

You know that feeling when you found the mechanic you will use for the next 20 years. No? Let me introduce you to them.Ive used the shop three times on three separate issues. There was no need for review after the first two. Price was good, work was completed on time, they kept me informed of where they were at in the process.... what I expect from a shop.The third time I used them I was expecting another repair on my used truck. BUT heres what stood out. They proactively let me know it was a warranty issue with the part.So to me, that means on top of the good price, work completed on time and keeping me up to date. They ACTUALLY cared more about me as a customer than a few dollars in profit.

I am the type who does as much of the work to my own vehicles as possible, however, for the few things I do require a shop for, I will continue returning to M E in Kyle.I have come to this location two times now. I have been getting both my vehicles serviced at Me Automotive for the past 2.5 years. Josh and the guys have always done great work. Today they did me a big solid with some out of warranty repair. They stand by their work.

I cannot say enough good things about M. E. Auto here in Kyle. Eddie and Josh are exactly the type of guys you want working on your vehicles. I wholly believe they act with integrity and have treated me with my best interests in mind. Never once have I felt like they were taking me for a ride, or trying to get unnecessary work done to pad the bill. Their prices are always reasonable and they have done a great job of keeping my aging Mazda pickup on the road. Of the dozen or so times my truck has been down there (my truck has been hit 4 times), I think the only time they had it for more than a couple days was when I forgot to pick it up. If youre looking for a shop that has their customers best interest in mind, this is not the place. They didnt even bat an eye when it came to leaving me without my car for three days. I had an emergency and lost notion of time, apparently a one minute courtesy call is too much to ask for. I wouldve paid over the phone and asked that my keys be left behind or sent one of my family members for my car had I known. If thats how they treat you as a customer, imagine the service they actually give your car.

Came by for inspection to M. E. Auto for trailer inspection. Had light issue with a turn signal the mechanic Josh, helped out and diagnosed and fixed the issue with light in about 5-10 minutes with no extra charge! Definitely trust worthy shop 10/10 recommend to any other individual!
