I have bought two cars from here in the last year and 1/2. I will never have a need to visit another used car dealership. The car selection, pricing, quality of vehicles, and relationships with customers are even better than the ads they air on TV. Larry Whicker, his son, and all their employees are a class act. I knew when my mechanic in the Kernersville area told me he had bought all his cars there for many years that I could not go wrong. He kept telling me: They just get GOOD cars. And, he was right!

I purchased a Mini Cooper for my niece as her very first vehicle. It was very clean, looked showroom ready. However, that was a HUGE CAMOUFLAGE! The old saying is “LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING!” Well, this was truly the case!!! LOOKS WAS ABSOLUTELY DECEIVING”! It was AS SOUR AS A LEMON!! Such a disappointment for myself and my niece! In the two months she kept the car, she called me everyday about something that went wrong with it. This was the worst purchased I could have every made. Two weeks after this purchase the engine light came on. I called Larry regarding this, the first thing he said, was placing blame on my niece, by saying it must have been something she did!. I told him that wasn’t the case. I explained every time she put the correct gas in the engine light came on! How disappointing is it to for anyone to be afraid to put gas in your vehicle with it will trigger your engine light. It’s not a good feeling. In two months I spent $1977 to correct the issues that came up with this vehicle. At this point I was not willing to spend another dime! This was an expensive lesson to learn, but it was definitely a lesson well learned! I WOULD NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HIM AGAIN!! “BUYER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BEWARE WHEN MAKING A PURCHASE FROM THIS WICKED DEALER “! This one star rating is really to much! If I had a choice I would give a zero rating to match the zero customer service and the zero reliability.

We just bought our first car from Larry Whicker Motors, and I could not be more pleased with the entire experience. I had checked out similar cars at two other local dealerships, but I was treated better and was offered a higher trade-in value at LWM. They are professional, personable, show high integrity, and most importantly Larry and his people go above and beyond.Larry noticed I had nearly-new tires on my trade-in, so he proactively offered to add new tires to the car we wanted. Later on, Daniel answered all my email questions then kept me informed on the progress of detailing and tire install, while we waited for our car to be ready. Megan was timely in providing me exact numbers on the deal, plus she was efficient and professional in finalizing the paperwork -- even calling our insurance company to expedite our immediate coverage. Finally, LWM made sure that we had a full tank of gas and that our new car was immaculately detailed.Larry, Daniel, Zack, and Megan are all to be commended for such great customer service. I will be sure to go there first in the future, when looking for another used vehicle!

I purchased a 2006 Mazda5 from Larry Whicker Auto in Kernersville a looong time ago (2009 or 2010 I believe!). It had 20,000 miles on it then. It has 160,000 miles on it now and NEVER has that car ever needed anything other than regular maintainence and minor recalls. I drove that thing to perform live gigs in Miami and Detroit numerous times, never once let me down. I even ran into a boxspring mattress laying in the middle of the highway at night going 70MPH 3 hours from home and still got home. It was a kickass car, still is and my niece who is a college student in Asheville drives it. I moved onto a Subaru, which honestly, I WISH had been available at Larry Whicker Auto. I soooo would have been a return customer if they had the Subaru I needed there! They were SO kind to me when I bought the Mazda5. The salesman was a totally cool, laidback guy who answered all my questions. We were out the door with that car in a few hours.
