I’ve rented here for a couple years now. The staff are incredibly professional and helpful. After having a few concerns, I was reached out to by the district manager ensuring me how much my feedback meant. I was also given rental assistance due to covid for a 3 month period which ends next month that has helped tremendously as I still haven’t started working after getting laid off. Our first unit was rat infested, which is very very common in this area (something to do with being close to the green river) after reporting it we noticed they put traps out around the entire property. Keeping your tubs in rubber bins really helps with this. We are now in our second unit and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. My most recent concern was handled extremely professionally and in a timely manner. Very appreciative for this and thankful that I can trust that they’ll ensure the property is well looked over, even after hours. I believe rent increases $10-$20 once per year or so, I find this to be valuable information. Not a huge increase but it’s just something I found interesting as I feel long term, loyal customers should receive benefits and incentive instead of yearly rent increase. I understand that new customers receive discounts, if there are ways to offer this to existing loyal customers I think this would be help drive business.

Rented a storage for over a year. Paid the rent every month without lateness. Hadnt gone to check the unit for a while till I received a call from Ron telling me that my storage was broken into. The storage unit is in a corridor & the are 3 more storage units. Mine happened to be the last one to the right and the only one broken into. So I inquired about the cameras recording the burglary & Ron says no, they activate at night, including the sensors. I called the cops & the cop told me that he cant help since there was no camera activity recording the burglary or any evidence to go off on. Filed an insurance claim since I have been paying them $11/month & now they are demanding all receipts of the items stolen so they can confirm the items. How many people keep receipts for over a year or for family heirlooms? The way this entire business is run is such where they have no accountability or trustworthiness. Do not store your items here or they will be stolen & by the look of things, the store manager happens to be in on it.

We have rented at this Public Storage for quite sometime and we are very happy with their customer service. Ron was very helpful and professional.

They only act nice cause their paid too. Even in the midst of a pandemic they chose to auction off mine and my childs belongings. We have been okay band a lot of what was there was not valuable but sentimental but after 60 days they will auction off your stuff even if you are struggling due to no fault of your own. They tried to reconcile but at that point I was barely able to pay my bills. and couldnt produce any payments. Now I am starting to get back on my feet and I only wish they could have been better people and realized people are hurting and maybe just maybe it wasnt the right time to exploit innocent hardworking people, like their ever is. Be warned pay on time and you wont end up like me.

I rented the vehicle storage space for almost three months. The manager Ron assisted me with a smiling face during move in and it took less than 10 minutes to complete the process. Initially I was quite reluctant since the parking space didnt have a carport but still took the chance (used my car cover) as the storage space is well protected and monitored.Upon return I was happy to see my car parked safe and undamaged :) :)I vacated the space during outside office hours and the store manager Teuila helped me with the account closure via phone on next business day.I would strongly recommend this place for its friendly staff, security and reasonable price options.

The guy I normally see is Ron and he is very friendly and is interested in making my experience here a good one each time, including a simple wave as I come in.I have been a customer here for a short time but I really like how clean the place is. I typically se Ron with a broom in his hand and a dust pan in the other.I have had a need for supplies while he is out cleaning and he has happily gone back to the office to help me get what I need.I also don’t find homeless people hanging around which makes me feel much better about my stuff being stored here.

The person who helped me was very fast helpful and straight to the point. Told me every little detail I needed to know very courteous my experience with him was great if they had more stars I will check them all thank you public storage.

I narrowed down to 3 storage locations and this location was our first stop.Ron (staff) assisted us and he was very friendly and quick service. Happy with the quick service.So, we decided to go with this location and cancelled other two.

Today I had a concern about 2 public storage units I rent from Public Storage. I contacted my District Manager Jim C who did an awesome job helping me resolve those concerns. Jim did a great job! I wish all public storage managers were as helpful as he is!

First off I want to say I am very unhappy with staff at this location A family friend rented a storage from this location Saturday AM which was a last minute emergency rental We spent Saturday and Sunday moving items in the storage my friend had to round people up to help we were all exhausted and ready to make the last drop off of large furniture which had to be out before Monday morning Which we accomplished !!!What happened next was very disturbing and very very unprofessional !!! as we arrived at the storage we put in the code and to our surprise it did not except the code as we sat for a minute we noticed the sign on the fence that read code will not work after 9 PM it was now 9:10 PM this was definitely our mistake ! Just then a women or employee came out of the office and she was upset that we were there We tried to talk to her and she was just rude she says cant you read the sign there are 3 of them on the fence We tried to explain our dilemma but she was not having it All she would say is you need to leave now and she said that maybe 3 times like we were loitering or somethingI then asked her name and she refused to give it to us None the less we figured out our situation for the night and were to store her stuff until 6 AM when we could drop it again !!!! This was our mistake BUT this was uncalled for and her lack of customer service to paying customers was Horrible !!! I will never recommend or use this place!!!Others beware of the night watch !!!

My wife and I needed a place to store our stuff between moves and decided on Public Storage in Kent due to the convenience, security and low price for the unit. The check-in process was as easy as it gets, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the access hours were perfect for our schedules. When it came time to move our stuff out, we ran into a discrepancy with our final payment but after talking with the district manager, Jim, he provided superior unexpected customer service and worked with us personally to resolve the issue quickly. Because of his efforts and the overall great experience, I would recommend this Public Storage location to anyone looking to store their stuff for awhile.On a final note, I recommend reading the lease agreement thoroughly and ask questions to clarity the pro-rate policy for the final payment before signing to avoid any setbacks or confusion during or after checkout.

I have always had a wonderful experience at this public storage. Zack is very friendly and helpful. And the staff to goes out of there way to make sure you are very well taken care of. This is defiantly the place to store your treasures.

This review likely applies to all storage units. First thing is to realize they raise your storage fees. When I started renting it cost $170/month. Now it is $260/month.I did not think I would be storing things for a long time but depending on what is in your storage unit you are often money ahead to just throw it all away.As far as facilities go this one is OK and I have a 10x20 foot unit with a roll up door so it is on the outside and no trying to thread through inside units.They typically have the manager live at the facility and there are gate codes for security and they close access and ask people to leave at 9pm here.I am very happy I will be moving so I can get my stuff out and use or sell or throw away items as makes sense.I will never get another storage unit anywhere again. It is easy to pay for stuff you already own and is a terrible waste of money unless a well planned short term rental.

I made the reservation online. That was easy. This location had the best price for bigger storage space and drive-up access. The next day Debbie called me, and explained the procedure. She was very friendly and professional. I went in the afternoon same day and in just a few minutes a have my storage. It was very clean. Not only very big for the price but over 9 height.I like the fact that George is an on site manager. So he is keeping an eye on the premises all the time.I am very happy with my storage.

Signed up online and got a call from Ron the next day to set up an appointment. Super helpful and made the process extremely simple. Location is very good, but discreet.

Samantha was very thorough in explaining details to ensure I had a clear understanding of all rules and regulations and answered all my questions. She was pleasant to work with and has great customer service skills. I will make sure to refer friends and family to Public Storage.

We were in need of a storage facility and we found one for $1 first months rent and the insurance was cheap and we have had success in two weeks of renting. Everyone is really nice and Access throughout the day is great timing. WE rented a storage that is perfect for our belongings, everything has fit and still room left to store stuff.

I was able to reserve a unit online and then go down to finish the process that afternoon. It was an easy process and Ron was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Had a great first day. Then 3 days into moving in. The So called Manager decided I was a problem. His excuse is that I was spending too much time there. Less then 4 hours for about 3 days. I have been trying to organize the unit so that I can easily get things out when needed. I am a roadside assistant mechanic. So I am constantly in and out o my storage unit swapping tools. Now again I say this is my first month here. First week of actually storing anything. He comes off as good customer service. Until he decided he had a problem with how I was organizing. Saying I can not pull things out of the unit. I use milk crates as organizers for all my personal stuff. My wife had 4 crates at the door of my unit. And was getting ready to fold and put away tarps I had just used when he decided to come and tell me what problems he has. Now this is we’re if became just straight disrespectful. He states “there have been needles found since you moved in” and now I’m mad. Needles? So what he’s trying to say is I’m a drug addict? My parents are both recovering drug addicts and it ruined there and my life. To which he then threatened to get ahold of the district manager and threatened to get me kicked out. So in the paperwork you fill out. No where does it state you can not be at your storage unit for any matter of time. So he’s trying to bend the rules. And two disrespecting paying customers? For what? And so he leaves and I go to his office to ask or his district managers card. Or contact info so I can call and make a complaint. To which he states. He does not have contact info for his district manager. And was very disrespectful again stating I had to leave and to pack my stuffs and get out. So I call customer service. Who awnser my questions very respectfully. 1. You do not have a time limit at how long you can be at your unit. 2. You are allowed to organize your units 3. Nothing that I had inside my unit was against any code or rules. And then the customer service rep gave me the district managers number. Who I then called and left a voicemail with. Still have gotten no return phone call from. Do I will be in contact and if this issue is not resolved I’ll be in contact with whoever I need to to make sure this is resolved. I’m very unhappy and very unsatisfied with his so called customer service and the disrespect. Now to add onto this. The rat traps around the facility are filled with rats, dead carcasses laying around everywhere. The back gate doesn’t work, my storage unit light didn’t eork when I first got into the unit. There is crash left all over the facility and no one is every cleaning. Ron the so called manager just sits in his office all day and doesn’t do anything. What do you pay him for? Bugging perfectly honest customers? I’ll give him this. His customer service the first day was good. Not so much after that. If I would have known I’d get this much hell over being at my storage unit. I’d go with anyone else. And I most likely will after my first month. That I have already paid for. Now if I get to my unit in the morning and my lock or unit have been touched I’ll be making a complaint with the king county sheriff.

George always has been friendly and helpful. The property is clean, nice and very convenient, near the exits of Kent. I never worried if no one is in the office during business hours to answer questions or accommodate me according to my space needs.The rates are reasonable and the staff is awesome, I would recommend this Public Storage to everyone!

I have been with this storage unit for more than a year now and Ron is absolutely my Lifesaver my my ear to listen to and I would say everybody and anybody to the storage unit this place is awesome is the bomb and theyve been very kind to me I wouldnt trade the storage spot for anyone any other spot in in the city so thats me thank you

This is the worst storage facility I have ever seen in my life. Because of them I will never use any public storage again. I was in this storage facility since 2009. It has been incredibly filthy. The last time I was there (to move out) I once again collected the sharp screws and other objects that could puncture a tire, from just near my unit. I ended up with a huge handful of objects, over about 20. You cant tell me they keep this place clean and safe. I had constant problems with the lights being out. I asked them to replace the bulbs and they said they just did. I said half the lights are out near my unit. They said thats all they were doing. Ive pointed out many people living in units. They said they couldnt do anything about it, even though its against the contract we all sign. There has been a lot of illegal activity. There was one guy who was making whisky. Flames were shooting up about 3 feet near the propane he was using for a heat source. I worried about the place being burnt down. I didnt feel safe coming here at night anymore with some of the people here. But I couldnt see because the lights were out anyway. The worst was that the management cut the lock off my unit a few years ago for no reason. They claimed it was a mistake. The general manager said he was there and they just opened the door, realized it was an error, that they had the wrong unit, and closed it right away. I put a new lock on it, one out of the office, even though I was uncomfortable with the locks being out of a package. They were not sealed. Presumably someone could copy the key and put the lock on the wall for sale. But certainly no one would do that, right? So later when I came back to my unit a few months later, I found that something very obvious was missing. You could not get to it without taking the boxes out that were in the pathway, and every box that was in the path showed signs of being very wet, as if pulled out in the rain. I even had a number of things (one very expensive) get rusty from it. The manager admitted to taking that one thing, but what else was missing? I complained to the general manager but he said I waited too long to complain. I had gone to CA for work for a few months and couldnt deal with it. So they blew off my complaint, and I never got back what was mine, and not even an apology. That manager left the facility, but I heard he was at another Public storage and may come back. I did not wait around to see if he did. I had to get out. Never use a lock that has not come from a sealed package. I have used more storage facilities than I can count for the last 30 years. This one is the bottom of the barrel.

Everything was easy to get rented and moved in, who’s I could set my own access code, and wish the lock was easier to use.

I was looking for vehicle storage and I found a relatively large storage unit at this facility online. When I went there to sign the unit, Ron, who worked there on the day of my visit, informed me of a much better fitting unit with a much lower price that had not been listed online. Ron was also extremely helpful, respectful and courteous and I really appreciate his suggestions.

Do NOT store your things here!!! I had stored my things here from May 2018 to planned removal in Sept and it got stolen out from under their nose! Besides that, what I rented for $60 a month was essentially a closet with plaster walls that they assured me was still very secure and that they had cameras, etc. Looking at their ratings, I stupidly said oookkay....Fast fwd. Up until the end of July Id checked on my storage monthly, though Id never noticed a night security like was indicated when I got the unit. For August, though, I hadnt come down as I was busy moving into my new place. So when I arrived Sept 1st in the evening, my area was pitch dark; I had to use my phone flashlight and a lantern from my car to even see how to get in. I opened the door thinking the link was on wrong... and my stuff was gone! As in, the containers were there, but had been cleaned out of all clothes, lamps, electronics, dvds, etc. that Id left in there!!The kicker and why you should not trust their rating, is that though the police report showed that this was professionally done (person used gloves as evidenced from container dusting, hung lock back on door (incorrectly) to make it seem like it wasnt touched, may have been someone watching unit that did it, etc.); property said they had cameras across property, but conveniently enough, didnt have footage for my area when I reported this happening; and though I sent in pictures and/or serial numbers, and receipts of nearly everything except for most of my clothes and the lamp that were stolen, their insurance was a joke. It refused to pay ANYTHING due to the wording of their contract. Finally, I closed the unit out before the next payment cycle, but the facility is STILL trying to collect a Sept-Oct months rent from me that I did not accrue.RUN, dont walk from this place!!

I have had a storage unit here for years and the manager, George is awesome. He is very helpful and has gone above and beyond to help me. The rates are resonable and the staff is wonderful, I would recommend this Public Storage to everyone!

Great place to store things great people there

I mistakenly gave this location a bad review and cannot remove it. I am updating it to say that my bad experience was with an account I had at the location on SE 244th in Kent not 238th. Although they are under same ownership and that is who I have a problem with & not this location or the person managing it. Public Storage in general mis-handled my account. I will not change my Star rating for that reason. And I would not use any of their locations for that reason.
