Love the cakes from here. Had a piece at a birthday party and thought I have to have this for my sons birthday. First the lady seemed like she wanted to help me. So the day of the first birthday party comes and I go to pick up the cake. Its nice and ready packaged and all. I asked the lady if I could request the color on the icing. So now I have delicious pink cake for my sons first birthday 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

We purchased 11 cakes for my daughters wedding. We decorated them with edible flowers and butterflies. They were delicious and traveled very well.

I purchased 3 moist delicious cakes, red velvet, white chocolate and strawberry and carrot. I also purchased mirrored number cake toppers. Great customer service. I pre-ordered. I had to get an extra cake after the supermarket bakery dropped the ball. A Piece of Cake happily accommodated me.

After sending 4 emails with no response, Ive decided to write a review. I have used Piece of Cake (and recommended them) quite a few times over years but this is the 2nd time in a row where the order was dry and tasteless. And when I say dry, think stale. The quality has definitely dropped considerably. Really no longer worthy of being called a specialty store. Will take my business elsewhere. And apparently they dont respond to emails because they will not refund. Horrible cake! Very disappointed in quality and customer service.

I went to the Kennesaw location for the first time. The cupcakes I received were not fresh. I feel like she went to the back and grabbed the old ones that were suppose to be thrown out. Worst location. The service was ok; even though the cashier talked about her open burn on her finger which she did not wear gloves to cover while getting my cupcakes from the dungeon.

I brought a cake last minute for my daughter’s birthday. It was white chocolate frosting. The cake was the best cake I’ve ever had. It was not to sweet. I kept left over on the counter for a couple days and it still tasted like when I first bought it. I will definitely be going back there for all of my cake needs.

The cakes are super dry. Its as if they are loaded with cake syrup to keep them moist for a time but then constantly put back in the fridge over and over. I bought four slices, four different types, and every slice was super dry. One bite of each and in the trash they went.

Im glad I didnt see the reviews before I tried this place. I needed some last minute cupcakes for an elopement as well as a small cake for a simultaneous celebration and actually had a lot of difficulty finding somewhere that offered the flavors, quantities, and sizes I was looking for. Piece of Cake made the whole process well, a piece of cake. I ordered online and picked up the (baked) goods two days later. The lady was very friendly and she did give me a heads up about not putting them in the fridge. Even several days later the leftover cupcakes were still moist and very tasty. Everyone was really impressed - so glad I found this place!

DRY. My Mom and I got a cake today, both of ours were very dry. I look at the Google reviews and notice that we were not the only ones with a dry cake. This problem is consistent. Very disappointed, and they refuse to fix the problem.

Im sadly disappointed in this place. Decided last minute to stop by for ez dessert last night.The selection was minimal. I decided to try the carrot cake and the white chocolate.The carrot cake was dry & brittle with strong spice flavor (some like the allspice/nutmeg over whelming flavor, but Im not a fan).The white chocolate, which was recommended, had no flavor and was again dry.Not sure if it was the recipe or if the cakes sat for a few days.We did not finish either cake. Such a disappointment.

I stay 6 hours away and every time I visit my brother I always come here. This time I purchased a cake for my sons birthday and I was highly disappointed. My cake was dry like it was 2 days old. That was $45 wasted. The icing was cracking too.

Ive been a customer for years. I used to go to the store in Buckhead. They have really expanded and the cakes and cupcakes are still one of the best Ive had in the Metro Atlanta area.

Today I purchased a slice of Key Lime cake. The cake was dry and gritty and the keylime-lemon filling had no flavor at all. This is the second time in a few months that Ive purchased same cake slice. Im done and disappointed 😞

Very disappointed, have always enjoyed cakes from this place. Spent over $50 a few days ago on a pound cake and 2 slices of other cakes, all extremely dry with no flavor. Tried calling all day yesterday with no success. Please make sure you ask how fresh the cakes are before purchasing.

Ordered a 9 inch chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. Picked it up the next day; lady at counter in Kennesaw location told us to put cake in fridge. WOW - terrible! Cake was so dry and no moisture whatsoever! After calling POC, they told me we should not have put it in fridge. They need to get their communication straight to the customer. Ill NEVER order from them again!! EVERY!! BUYER BEWARE!

Save your money and get a better quality cupcake at Publix. I purchase the birthday cupcakes and they tasted terrible. The cupcake was dry and not fresh and the frosting tastes like pillsbury canned vanilla frosting. All commercially prepared. For the price I was expecting quality ingredients and a tasty cupcake. Will not be back.

This review is not for product which have been great in past. I believe there is no one minding the store? Cant be reached by phone and website crashes constantly. I hope they are able to sort things out, so I can write a better review when I can get their Strawberry cupcakes.

My husband get me a cake for our anniversary! It was the confetti cake! I was so fresh, tasty and very moist. The Icing was very good! We received very good customer service and our order was ready on time! We will definitely be back to try more flavors 🙂

I got a piece strawberry cake and it had weird looking brown spots in it. I don’t know if it was mold or what but never again. I don’t see how they are even still open.

We ordered a cake and cupcakes for my moms birthday and they were absolutely DELICIOUS! White chocolate cake, lemon and birthday cake cupcakes were all outstanding but more importantly the girls in the store were so incredibly kind i went to my car crying! It was almost closing time when I went to pick up my order and behind me a homeless man walked in too. He pulled out a $1 bill and said “excuse me, I only have a dollar. Is there anything I can buy to eat?” And the girl told him to put away his money and pick out a cupcake...he picked a small one and she said “oh no, you get a big one!” And gave him the same flavor.....she treated him with so much dignity and made my heart smile. Such a great experience! Great cake and better employees! Thank you so much!!

I was swamped with birthday planning for my fiancé, and my Aunt suggested “A piece of cake”, and my goodness I’m so happy she did. Ordering was easy, convenient, very flexible, and the staff was so nice. My fiancé loves carrot cakes- so he’s very particular about them, and he had nothing but high praises for their cake! I’ll definitely be back!

It is decent. The environment is rather nice and the service it good. The prices were kind of high and the cake wasnt even that good. The cake I got was dry which made me wonder how long it was sitting out of the stand. I wouldnt recommend it unless you arent picky about cake.

I had saw this place and decided to try it out for the first time tonight. I ordered two slices of cake for me and my boyfriend. I paid a little over $11.00. The cake was definitely not worth the price and was very dry. I definitely do not recommend this cake shop. Save your money and bake your own.

Ive been ordering from the makn location for over 15 years but the quality has diminished.Purchased Red Velvet and Carmel cake tonight fit my moms Birthday.The Carmel cake frosting was som light it could have passed for Buttercream ...Carmel cake should be carmel in color..dark tan.. This had no color which should have been a good indication there would be NO flavor. My mom also stated it does not taste the same.. Neither peice of cake had any flavor. I will not be back.

Ive always gotten recommendations to come here. Everything my peers tell me about this place is true. They had samples of the popular stuff (Nans cookies, cheese straws, 3 different cakes) and they were all yummy. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to engage the workers first and I dont think that is good customer service at all.

Was so shocked when my fiancee bought me cupcakes from here for my birthday but once i ate them was extremely disappointed. The cupcakes were dry and lacked ALOT of flavor . The chocolate cupcake i had tasted like a sweet bread no chocolate flavor what so ever and the cookies and cream tasted exactly like the chocolate. Maybe i just got them on a bad day ? Only semi tasty one was the strawberry.

Second visit to the Kennesaw location and cake was FRESH and fantastic. Hummingbird, Red Velvet and Strawberry all taste homemade! Staff friendly and helpful. Worth the trip! * * * * * FIVE STARS

3 months ago I bought a slice of keylime cake. The cake was so delicious you could taste the lime and so moist. I purchase 2 slices on yesterday. Keylime and Red Velvet. I was lookíng forward really for the keylime. Needless to say the cake tasted like a key without the lime and dry. Red Velvet cake was just the color red and dry. So disappointed. 😡

Not worth the calories! We bought a piece of cookies and cream cake and chocolate ice cream yesterday and were completely disappointed. The cake was old, dry and did not taste like cookies and cream. The frosting tasted as though it came out of a can and the ice cream was old and freezer brunt. Terrible all around.

Came here with my wife and son. Ordered three cupcakes and 3 cookies.Cupcakes.... My 4 year old wouldnt eat the cake part at all. My wife thinks the Krogers cupcakes have better flavor. These were dry and closer to cornbread taste and texture. The strawberry and banana cake slices are the best. I work near the airport and I always visit their camp Creek location. However, I live closer to the Kennesaw location. Both locations are always clean and their staff is always helpful and pleasant.

Not sure how this place got 4 stars.The red velvet cake is a total disappointment for flavor and dryThe oreo is also DRY.The piece of cake in Decatur must be doing their own recipes because their cake is very moist and stayed that way for a week.

I buy from Piece of cake every week and the last two visits my slices were not fresh very dry. I would like to see them incorporate a tagging system with dates the cake was put out. The slices are to expensive not to be perfect money down the drain

It’s either a hit or a miss....sometimes the cakes are moist and sometimes the cakes are dry. We had a luncheon at work and a few of these cakes were purchased and some of my co workers mentioned the dryness. Sometimes I’ll stop by to purchase a slice and it’s the same thing, sometimes dry sometimes moist. It’s so disappointing when you preorder a cake and pay the expensive price and it’s dry. I go here only if I have too or if I don’t feel like driving to Nothing Bundt Cakes which far exceeds in moisture, I have never purchased a dry cake yet from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Orderd a Strawberry Cake and it was mmmm fresh strawberrys and the frosting made homemade!! loved it and cant wait to visit from cali again!!!!

I personally have purchased cakes throughout the year, but majority of the time during the holidays and I must say over the years never had a dry cake. Knowing that it’s certainly someone’s preference, but I would most definitely not put any cake especially containing flour in the fridge, it’s going to dry out and the frosting will crack and become stiff. I have purchase cakes or cupcakes from other local and was highly disappointed, so again it’s a matter of preference.
