We stopped here on our way out of town from Georgia. What first caught our eye was the vast list of sour beers (we’re huge fans) and had to order a flight. The food is incredible, an interestingly unique take on BBQ. From the traditional BBQ sandwich to a unique brisket taco, they are sure to have something for every carnivore to enjoy. If you are local to this area, or just passing through, you’ve gotta give this place a shot.

The Nest in Kennesaw! This is where the locals go, so thats really all you need to know. They perfected small plates and dinner plates. The huge smoker out front is a sign that the brisket was cooked to perfection. Lots of choices of craft beer. Splurge and try something new. Definitely will be back!

Found a piece of metal from the wing. Apparently it’s their metal cleaning brush. Was offered $12.60 discount out of our $50 bill. (Oh including the beer voucher). Food was good, but not sure if it’s worth getting punctured by piece of whatever that was. Recommend this place if you don’t mind possibly getting punctured in the mouth with a piece of metal brush.

Great service. Awesome atmosphere. Plenty of heaters outside for when its chilly. Lots of great beers to try. We usually order the whole farm as we dont care much for their sides. We love eating here though!

First visit, and I was overly impressed with the food quality, ambiance, and customer service. I had the beef brisket plate, which was absolutely outstanding. The meat was smoked perfectly, warm, and fresh. The collard green and mac & cheese sides were the perfect pairing with the brisket. The food was so good, I honestly fell in love with it. You know you’re in store for good things when you see a double smoker in front of the restaurant. Well done!

Love the options for outdoor dining. The pimento cheese was great. The chicken was absolutely amazing. However, it took an incredibly long time to get our food, then to get our check, then to get our card back after paying.Im not a huge fan of BBQ and this was not my choice of restaurant, but a dinner out to celebrate with extended family. I and my immediate family dont eat pork, and while there were options we could enjoy, we had to ask about most items before we could decide on what to order. And while the food that we ended up with was quite good, Im not sure if well be back.

Mac and cheese was great brisket in my opinion needs some work ribs are good though! Service was great! Id check it out again if im in town! Very well designed and I love the decor and atmosphere!

If you come here - youll look at the menu and say damn that Brisket plate looks expensive. GET IT!! Wow, just had it and hands down the best Brisket Ive ever had.

Great local spot in the downtown entertainment district (you can walk downtown with a beer if you so choose). Huge dog friendly astroturf patio with large tables and umbrellas and they frequently support local nonprofits. I dont actually eat meat, so if youve got a veggie friend in your life know that they have a vegetarian/vegan friendly option on their menu (no substitutions required). They always have great beer selection.

I dare you to drive past when theyve got meat on the smoker and not immediately pull in. The aroma, the laid back atmosphere, the amazing cocktails, all serve as fantastic teasers to the main course... The food. Not only do these folks know how to smoke meats, they are exceptionally skilled at pairing it with the perfect appetizers and sides so that no matter what you get youre sure to be satisfied. Go there, eat your fill, then slowly amble down the ramp back to your car. You wont regret it.

Nice, spacious, and heated patio seating. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the ribs my family had brisket and chopped chicken. The meat was delicious, the sides were tasty but a little overcooked (mushy). Ohh great beer selection for the beer snobs. Overall we definitely would come back.

Service was bad and food was just OK. The Cracklin Pork Rinds which are made fresh lack any taste. The hostess sat us down and it took for ever for our server to finally come see what we wanted. We order drinks, appetizer, and food. We ordered something called like the barnyard that had some of all of the meats that way we could try a little of everything for the 2 of us. Server came back and told us that they were out of ribs and we could pick more of something else. So we went with more brisket as it was comparable to the ribs almost. She told us that we couldnt because it was more expensive. After pushing for it since it was not our fault they ran out prior to ordering and not informing us they gave in. What they brought out in place was a joke. Literally a tablespoon full of brisket that was to replace a quarter rack of ribs! Never was given utensils and had to flag someone else down to get it. Server never checked back in and had to wait for a long time to pay to leave. They did give a discount on the meal and tried to give us a $5 card for our next visit which we declined saying that we would never be back.

Always great food here! Ribs were tender but still held their bite. Some of the freshest pork skins you can find. Hours later they are still crackling! 😁

We were so excited to try this place out but left disappointed. The food is hit or miss. Deviled eggs, nachos, banana pudding, potato salad and most of the sauces were really good. Salads tasted fresh and were pretty good. Mac and cheese was tasteless and mushy. Ribs were extremely dry with some parts being more like jerky. Pulled pork was ok but wouldn’t order again. It was a bit dry and didn’t taste smoky. Green beans were waaaaaay too salty and this is coming from a salt fiend. There were literal swarms of flies on the patio. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The alcohol list looked good but we didn’t try any. It is overpriced for the quality and quantity received. We might go back to try the bar but would not eat food there again.

We had lunch at The Nest, my husband and my 2 teenage kids.Not only the food was not great but it was over priced.My burger very oily for $12 and $4 for saggy cold french fries. ( I cant believe you have to pay for side)My husband took the burger minus the fries and was charged $0.25 for a little bit of sauce ( in fact he asked for mayo)My kids ordered the nachos and my daughter said the chicken tasted funny like they gave the grilled taste artificially.I forgot to mention the pecan pie that tasted terrible.You can tell it came from a box, frozen.They could have at list bought a brand like Marie Callenders. $65 drinks included.It was definitely not worth it.Wont be back.Did I forget to mention the flies? We did like the young man that sited us and also the waiter that took care of us, both were very nice.

First time at this place. I look at the menu online before getting there and had my eye on the Brisket Sandwich on Texas Toast with a photo of it online showing it. I got there and order the sandwich and it came out in a generic hamburger bun not on Texas toast. Also extra small portion for the price.Update your menu on your website to reflect what you really serve.Extremely disappointed. Not going back.Will not recommend.

Tried this place out about 2 weeks ago. Visited on a Tuesday around 2pm. Place was empty and I was skeptical to how the food was going to be. I had the brisket sandwich, my wife ordered the pulled pork tacos and my daughter wanted (of course) the chicken tenders with mac and cheese. All the food was excellent! The brisket was very flavorful and tender. The fries were seasoned very well. My wife and daughter enjoyed their meal and said it had a lot of flavor as well. The service was great. Our waitress checked on us about 3 times and refilled our drinks when we were low. We sat outside on the deck, it was a nice day for it. I will visit again in the near future. Definitely recommend this place.

This place was absolutely wonderful! The Brisket is the best to get here, but all the food Ive tried so far has exceeded expectations! Otherwise the wait staff Ive interacted with so far have similarly been spectacular, making sure youre taken care of without standing over the table the whole time. The location is pretty nice, not too difficult to get in or out of, and the parking lot is spacious enough that parking has never been a headache despite being so near the main street. The prices are reasonable and portions are good, and the selection of local brewed drinks are wonderful! Thank you for such a great experience, Ill definitely be back to The Nest for my next lunch outing!

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Super friendly staff and great selection of perfectly smoked meats. There’s a wide variety of delicious sauces to choose from, tons of great beer on tap, and fantastic sides like collards, Brunswick stew, and smoked Mac n cheese.

For the price, I was unimpressed. Brisket, bland. Smoked wings, bland. Made it work by adding lemon pepper seasoning and drenching in barbecue sauce. Sweet barbecue sauce was good. Sides were pocket pinchers. Spent $16 on three small side salads. Really? Nice place to hangout, but the food looses its luster when ordered to-go. Prices going up everywhere due to inflation, so restaurants are going to need to justify the increase by food quality.

Really great place for patio dining, food was really well prepared, even later at night. My 6 year old said its good favorite restaurant hes ever been to, why can we move to be closer so we can go more. 😆

Overall I like this place a lot. They have great appetizers and they have a good selection of places to sit if you like to alternate between eating indoors or outdoors in different visits. My only complaint is that they’ve gotten a little pricey overtime which wouldn’t be a problem for me if not for the fact that the portion sizes just don’t seem to be all that much. Things like sandwiches aren’t already meal incorporated so a $12 sandwich will still need $7 fries if you want to add more things.

Very good food & sweet waitress

Went there for lunch with my boyfriend while visiting here from Brazil and they didn’t wanna accept my ID (that is from Brazil and clearly has my picture and birthday on it)on top of being extremely rude. Honestly they were giving us bad looks since we arrived and it felt like we were being racial profiled. I was really excited to visit the place but I’m never coming back.

To me The Nest Kennesaw is top 5 in Cobb County. From the chicken egg rolls to Smoked Wings to the 40 plus beer selection, they cant be beat. The customer service is great and the prices are just right too. Dont miss out on the Nest, I promise you wont regret it.

The bbq is amazing My husband, kids and I really enjoyed everything, our waitress recommended really good stuff... So if youre planning on going ask for Ozzy shes great....

The food is good, but I go here because of the vast rotating selection of craft beers and the knowledge of the beer-tenders. I love that you can get 4oz pours to sample a variety of styles and breweries. This place is a beer university.

Oh my goodness the food is excellent and my waiteress Ashlyn S was so good. Great food and great service. The atmosphere was so nice as well. This is a must try and ask for Ashlyn. It definitely deserves an 11. Highly recommended The Nest Kennesaw

Great pulled pork sandwiches. But a little small my call them sliders.

Mediocre service, pulled pork was dry, sides were good. Stay far away from the smoked banana pudding - took one bite and almost immediately came back up. Some things shouldnt be smoked. This is one.

Bbq has lots of variation, I just was not impressed. Brunswick stew was brothy and sparse, I like mine thick and full. Pork was just OK. Great staff tho, we were well taken care of.

From the start to finish it has been a bad experience. Waited outside for 10 minutes while waiting on someone to come and seat us or even acknowledge we were there. There were people ahead of us waiting as well.Finally, got sat and the host brought our beverages.Waited another 10 minutes for our waitress to finally show up. Placed our order.The food came, pork was cold, sauces were cold. Honey mustard tasted like almost straight mustard.Waitress brought the bill. Waited another 10 minutes just to pick it up.I won’t be back

Went to check this place out for dinner. Ordered the baby back ribs. Not good. Did not taste fresh. 30$ down the drain.

It is by far one of my favorite barbecue places. They have gotten a little pricey on some of the menu items and it seems like they have cut the portions. The food is still excellent.

Saturday was a rough night at The Nest. The bartender also having to run around taking drink orders at tables as well as deliver them. Stood at the bar 20 minutes for drinks. Then the bartender was so busy we had them put on our table in the other room. My wife likes red wine. Ordered hers, received white, then was told they have no red. Wait, the chalk on the wall lists 4 different reds. Yeah, were out and waiting til we finish the tap white before we will get any bottles of red. huh? You can imagine the attempt at dinner. One more shot at this and then Im out for good if no improvement.

Stopped by for lunch out on the porch. Good beer selection, great BBQ.

Amazing food! Such flavorful meat, didnt even need BBQ sauce! Wings were my favorite, but all of it was yummy. Cool atmosphere, and love that we could bring our dog. Well definitely be going back, cant wait for spring!

So Happy we asked a Local Bar Tender where the locals would eat. We came across some southern BBQ food at The Nest. Homemade Pork Rinds (perfect for Keto Diet), pulled pork dinner plates, The Farm sampler platter of meats (but not simple sizes), collard greens, homemade Mac n cheese, potato salad, and texas toast.. Dine inside or out...

It was a cool little place and good food. Big beer list. However it was my first time and the day before they had their anniversary so they were out of everything almost. Our waitress was nice but forget about us a few times. I think she every table there 🤷‍♀️ I will go back.

I don’t know if they put the burnt over cooked stuff in the to go orders but this isn’t the first time this has happened to me. I got hard chick wings over cooked small pieces of brisket and burnt ribs. Not what I’d expect when I spend $60. The food has always been excellent when I eat there but this is the second time I’ve had a to go order that wasn’t worth it. And I’m writing this because I have family visiting from NY that wanted good bbq so I ordered the whole farm. Wasn’t expecting the farm to be burnt and dry. Don’t think I’d go back

Great food and service. FYI for those doing outdoor dining and have wide hips- the metal chairs can be quite uncomfortable. But they do also have picnic benches.

Was our first visit. The atmosphere was good, but our Bbq was cold and dry.

Overall nice place and friendly staff. We had the whole farm today, which is a decent portion, two people can barely finish it, but the wings were really dry and the pulled pork was not as tasty as Im used to. But Ill certainly come back and give it another try. As dessert I had the banana pudding, it was very good and a huge portion.

Hiked Kennesaw Mountain and was looking for a dog friendly restaurant to eat at. This was the perfect place!! Pulled pork and chicken, fries, toast ... everything was delicious!! Great service too!

Larry was the best server, even being her second day on the job! Super sweet and very accommodating to our needs while knowledgeable on the menu.Pulled pork was delicious! I also had baked beans and potato salad, both were great. Love the option of getting 2 bbq sauces to try out, as well. We tried the sirracha white sauce, sweet bbq, and spicy bbq (different than Ive had, almost like a jelly but good none the less)Ps, my husband says the pulled pork sandwich needs 2 sauces, he loves it extra sloppy! 🤣Thank you! Great food, great atmosphere and great beer! It was a beautiful evening for outdoir dining and The Nest is one of our favorite spots for that! The smoked chicken egg rolls are delicious, and I love the pulled pork tacos too! Yum! Its all good at The Nest!

The brisket sandwich is amazing and so are the brisket tacos. The pulled pork is also excellent choice. Put this place on your foodie list.

I thought it would have been better with all the high ratings. Our food was not hot, just barely warm, deviled eggs were not fresh, took forever to get our order.... not feeling it.

Calling this place a BBQ joint seriously undersells it. Amazing, made-from-scratch food. The nachos with brisket had homemade white queso, the lettuce was spring mix, the jalapenos were fresh, the guacamole was chunky and home made. Amazing!Plus, theres a long list of brews on draught, some local, one Guinness stout, and a lengthy list of distilled spirits, some local.To top it off, theres dog-friendly covered outdoor dining.I love this place.

Delicious food and friendly service

This is one of my favorite places to meet up with friends or coworkers. Great for lunch or dinner. There is a great beer selection and the smoked wings are the best.

I was very disappointed with my eating experience at this restaurant. The food was over priced and wasnt very good for a bar-b-que restaurant. The queso cheese we had to send back because it was cold and they brought another queso dip and it was luke warm the the collard greens were tough and tasted like they were just boiled in water without any seasonings, fries were cold, Mac and cheese was watery without three cheeses. The inside was warm the air conditioning wasnt working. We never had a manager come to our table to ask about the our experience. I wouldnt recommend this place for bar-b-que too anyone I know. You need too actually revisit and ask yourselves did you open for the love of bar-b-que or run your business into the ground. We need good restaurants to eat at in Kennesaw.

Great BBQ eatery, I ate pork tacos and a smoked chicken Ceasar wrap. Both were delicious and service was on Point!

I couldn’t eat the ribs because they weren’t tender at app and they don’t come pre sliced so it was rough trying to rip off chunks with my teeth. The flavor wasn’t bad and I could smell the smoke flavor but since this was my first time eating at “The Nest” and first impression is everything I will not be returning in the future.

The beer list is great. Everything other than BBQ is good as well. The brisket is clearly cooked in an oven tastes microwaved every time you order it (it also costs more per ounce than gold). The location is great, and it’s a good atmosphere. But other than the pork and smoked wings, there not a lot of BBQ going on here. I’ve given it the benefit of the doubt the first 10 times we went, but it is what it is at this point.

My wife and I came here after going to the local amtgard park for a LARP event. The service is great, and the food is fantastic. Best toast Ive ever had, my wife loved her food, and we appreciate the precautions they are taking with COVID. I highly suggest getting the nest eggs for an appetizer.

We arrived in Kennesaw for Yamaha training. Just looking for somewhere close on our lunch break we stumbled across The Nest. This is some of the best bbq we’ve ever had. Period. We are from the south so we know bbq. The excellent southern atmosphere and charm entranced us. The craft beer selection was out of this world and our wait staff was kind and COVID safe. We will come back here each and every time we are in Kennesaw.

The BBQ was real good. Would recommend the nachos with pork you will not be disappointed. Only negative one of the rooms had tons of flies. We asked to move and they accommodated.

Terrible customer service. They cant get to go orders right and they do nothing to reimburse you for the extravagant waste of money. Dont go here unless you want something completely different from what you ordered.

Local resident and have been here multiple times and never leave fully satisfied. Pulled pork is good, chicken is good. Ribs were chewy and had a lot of bones, green beans were soaked in a meat stock/fat and inedible. Collard greens used to be good but this time were very bland. Side salad was overpriced and half salads are tiny. I really, really want to love this place and enjoy the atmosphere, but the food makes it hard to go back.

I’ve been coming here for the past year. Mostly all of my experiences have been pleasant and wonderful. The only drawback of this location is the price of the food, a tab bit expensive for the amount of meat you get. The deviled eggs are great, the brisket is fire but sometimes you get some meat that is dry. Overall great location!

Great selection of beers. Food prices were steep, in my opinion. Staff was super nice, especially hostesses. Brisket sandwich was tasty according to my son, who doesn’t like sauces.

Food is good, atmosphere and service is great. $26 for a brisket plate is pretty pricey. Everything else is on par, price wise. Id like to see a two and three meat plate option added to the menu.

Great food and atmosphere. We really liked the mix of Mexican and BBQ flavors. The queso is awesome and you get a huge bowl at a great price. Plenty of outside seating. Service was good. Deserts are a little expensive for the portion sizes you receive. We will certainly be back to try some of the other food in the menu.

The wife and I had an early dinner on the patio at the Nest last night. The food was good especially the egg roll appetizers and the pork tacos but the flies about drove us out of there! We dine outside because of the virus and in this case it didnt work out too well. We will order takeout or be back in the winter when the flies are gone!
