Gus and the rest of the team at Brake Check were fantastic. It seems like what should have been a routine brake service turned into a week long issue but the team was great. They kept me well informed and always presented me multiple options. I appreciate everyone’s hard work and will definitely be returning for future service.

The did a great job. It just took them forever! Appointment was at 11am and I was there 30min early. I didn’t get out of there till 4:30pm. Only had 2 rotors replaced. Great work though.

I appreciate the 50% off oil change program and the courtesy but the oil change took about 1-1/2 hours after my vehicle was pulled into the oil change bay. Thats way too long. How does that compare to the 10 minute oil change establishments? Plus I had to wipe dried sweat residue from my fenders before leaving. Theres no reason to lean over the fenders to add oil. Its done from the front.

The manager was very courteous and helpful. Not to mention customer service was excellent. Instead of waiting in the lobby, the manager asked if I would like to come back at 5pm. When I came back, the manager kept his word and serviced my truck as soon as I handed over the keys. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. One satisfied and happy customer.

I came for an alignment CHECK and they got me in very quickly asked what I needed done and I made it clear I only wanted to CHECK my alignment. Instead of consulting me on my vehicles status they went ahead and proceeded with the service. He told me it was going to be $74 dollars and being confused I said again that I only wanted it checked, he then told me an alignment needed to be done so they did it. I understand service needed to be done on my car but I don’t think it’s right that I did not get a choice as to whether or not I wanted to have the service done today. I won’t be coming to this location or any brake check locations in the future, it’s a big breach of trust. I usually go to places to get second opinions on if my vehicle needs service but I was not given an opinion only a “fix”. If he would have consulted me about what was wrong I would have considered getting the service done but I was pretty much forced into getting this service. I’ve emailed with the complaint hoping to get a refund but have yet to receive a reply.

Service started on time. Staff were courteous and seemed to care about customer concerns. I was in and out in an hour.

Great place! Dj booked me an appointment I didnt originally have one. They fixed my rear brakes and rotors! I appreciate them taking me in so last minute. It just took awhile with only one other car lifted on the bay when I pulled up.

I took my truck to repair the brakes and they left it without working and I almost had an accident for not having brakes in my truck

I shopped around for the best price and Brake Check was the most reasonable. I was able to get an appointment right away and Gus was very professional and courteous. I went there to bet my rotors resurface i went on sunday before labor day, they took 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish my rotors, and after i left my front brakes were shaking way worst than they did before i took them for resurfacing, so i called and said that my brakes were worst than before and they guy i spoke even questioned myself if i was sure about it like if he was the one driving the care. Then i came and they redo the job and now is smooth, but they left a weird squeaky sound each time I brake and a little bump in the rotor because you can feel it when driving, worst place ever to get your brakes done, never recommend it. They dont get things right as they say

I love this location and wouldnt take my car anywhere else, ever. They have and always have been very honest. Ive been coming here since Ive moved from NY 13 years ago and the staff and Managers have always been very professional, respectful and have always kept it 100 with me with regard to what my car needed. The tech that worked on my car not only put the footprint protector down, he also wiped my steering wheel. Truly appreciate you guys.

This is the only Brake Check I will go to. I come here to get my brakes done, oil changes, and alignments. They are always so helpful and HONEST! Which is great when you’re a woman coming in for car work alone. Gus and Brandon are amazing! They are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Everything went good, and the main guy was very polite. Service was fast, and up beat. Only thing I would have liked was to have been told my alignment was too necessary and spent money on soemthing I didn’t need. But I guess overall it was good. Better I did it and not need it than need it and not do it.

Absolutely horrible, purchased a new alignment because they voided my old one. But they did not align my truck. So at this point it is theft, when I called they said “well your tie rods are worn” but this was just replaced and the reason for them voiding my original alignment warranty. I sent an email to corporate but they don’t even respond. Save your money and frustration by going anywhere else.

They were extremely helpful and professional getting my car up to par. Thanks to the crew that went above and beyond to quickly and cost effectively get my car rolling good again!

After spending good money getting new pads and rotors, Gus told me that my CV axle was leaking grease. I took his word for it and told him to replace it. I had to make 3 separate trips, each time Gus had forgot to order the parts. After the last trip, I went somewhere else to get it fixed. The new mechanic told me there was nothing wrong with my CV axles. This makes me sick that Brake Check was trying to fix parts that were in working condition. Not to mention it took him 3 times to order the parts to begin with. Don’t trust these guys. They just want to squeeze more money out of you.

These guys are very good.

Fair upfront pricing, they show you the problem and recommended repairs along with fairly accurate time to be ready. I would recommend.

The wheel alignment performed here didnt work well. It came out worse than before. Went back to recheck and the technician said its normal to pulling to the right and he cant do nothing else to improve it. I would not recommend this place for alignment. The steering wheel is always as in the picture, so I have to keep turning to make it go straight.

I love this location. Everyone is very friendly and efficient. Gus, the manager is terrific. He engages with customers and makes such a positive impact for customers.

Do not come to this Brake Check location(Katy) if you need a proper alignment. Had to bring back twice to be corrected and DJ told me that it was normal for my truck to pull to the left. Had go to another location to get it done correctly. Guess what? My sterring wheel is straight and no longer pulls. Staff has changed and quality of work is poor.

I hardly even know where to begin. DO NOT take your vehicle here, I came in because I had long brakes, I left with long brakes and over $1000 worth of damage. After replacing the master cylinder (which did nothing), I was given my car back in almost undriveable condition. It was misfiring, shaking, and with a check engine light. After taking my car in again, they spent a week looking at it to no avail, even after bringing in their master tech they told me to just take it to the dealership to see what the problem is. The dealership took 20 minutes to find out Brake Check destroyed the PCM while replacing the master cylinder, and it will cost over $1000 to replace. It has been over 2 weeks since I brought my car in the first time, and Brake Check has been useless in trying to resolve this issue. But hey, at least Gus said I will get a refund for the master cylinder (which I have yet to see).Edit: Changing from 1 to 3 stars. Once corporate got involved, they were able to quickly make sure I was taken care of and have the damage repaired at no expense to me. Their customer service were a huge help and very easy to work with.

Got their at 730am when they opened I needed rotors to be resurfaced and new pads all around. I didnt leave til 1230pm because the manager told me the pads were in stock when they wasnt. He said it wouldnt be available til a couple of hours later which I dont have the time for. The didnt do a good job resurfacing my 2 front rotors according to another brake check. Botton line I live in katy, but im not ever going back to that brake check location. Good luck to whoever does...

My 19 year old daughter needed new brake shoes on the rear tires. We get a text saying the car is done and ready to go. We drive to pick it up and we get there and all the wheels are back on the vehicle, still on the rack. Then all of a sudden “the clips are broken and need to be replaced”! My daughter and I both question this and asked why did we get a text saying it’s done?? The man had no response. I said to the man this is BS and this is the second time you have tried to take advantage of my daughter. (The first visit a month or so ago for the front brakes). He finally said there will be no charge, because “we don’t want people to think we are taking advantage of them”. I already had a texted total, with the 10% total taken off the bill. When my daughter tried to pay he all of a sudden says “I can’t apply the 10%”. She said we already have the total with the 10% applied. Then magically he now says “oh, I figured out way to apply it”. He wore his mask down over his chin, mouth and nose not covered. Also when he test drove her car, no mask. My daughter got back into her car to drive home, and they had left a tool in the cup holder. She brought it back inside and said they had left it in there and the man at the front desk said “it’s yours it’s for your wheels.” Now 30 minutes later we get a call asking for it back?? I thought you said it was “ours”??? Do NOT take your car to this place, they will text you and say it’s all good and then when you arrive, there will be extra charges. And good luck getting them to honor your online coupon.

DJ and the rest of the crew did an excellent job on my truck. They provided first class service in a timely manner, and went the extra mile to show me and explain what was wrong with my truck alignment. This is gonna be my go to place for oil changes, brakes, and alignments from now on.

They had a reminder sticker with a wrong mileage on my windshield called the supposed manager to inform him he was just so rude and full of attitude and at that point I told him I will never go back there again he seems to be very ok with that from the way he took it and so be it.

If I could rate this Brake Check with Zero stars I would, unfortunately 1 is the minimum. I went in for an alignment, which was horrible and the guy who perform it did not know what he was doing( I believe he was called DJ) Long story short, after talkin with Gus at the store he said I would be refunded for what I paid for the alignment. (Note this was back is September 12, 2020) One a 1, 2, 3 weeks went by and nothing. Yet to this day October 23 I have not received my refund, and every time I call the brake check location in Katy either Gus is gone for the day or not in that day. I leave my name and number so I can be reached back, but no effort has been made to contact me.I would not recommend thus business!!

I’m not from the Houston area. Exited my hotel, started my truck, the service brake system notified me. Went to the closest brake mechanics near me. It happened to be this one, they found a bleeder that was leaking. Repaired it in a timely manner. Very fair. Next morning the service engine light illuminated, again took my truck there. They checked it, found that it was not an urgent repair. Cleared the alarm and possibly since I was from out of town. There was no charge. Again they were very fair and attentive.
