I am beyond impressed with the team at Midwest Collision. I was paying out-of-pocket for paintwork, and Joe was very willing to give me estimates based on exactly how much repair work I wanted done that would fit in my budget. When I got my car back, they had done even more than agreed upon, taking off additional panels and performing blending work I was willing to forgo.even though I expressed that I was ok with a good enough job, they went above and beyond to make it a great job. I honestly cant say enough nice things and would highly recommend them for any size paint job. I can honestly say my car looks better than when I bought it.
The got me in to write up an estimate on my vehicle for me. Had used them sometime ago...guess what they remembered me and I was still in their computer system. And, the are good people...easy to talk too and work with. I recommend...they paint also and do a really good job at it.
I have used this body shop twice. They do high quality work and the gentleman at the counter who wrote the estimates was very thorough. They even repaired some unrelated scratches on adjoining panels.
Overall wasnt that bad, took my F150 to get a quarter panel repaired after someone backed into me, it looked ok. Now the reason I am giving it 2 stars. A week after I brought it home I was installing an aftermarket rear bumper on my truck.......they welded one of the bolts that hold the bumper to the frame. I called and said something. The man I spoke to was a polite older gentleman, he said the bolt was giving them problems. I totally understand that once in a while you get a few rusted bolts that just give you a hard time but It would have been nice if they could have called me and told me they were doing any welding at all. I would have found a solution other than welding a damn bolt to the frame. The price was reasonable but I feel like if you are going to WELD anything to anyones vehicle the owner should know and ultimately give the OK.
Took my wifes vehicle here after auto insurance told us they were one of their preferred body shopsIssues I had:- We were originally told it would take a week, but they extended the time they needed twice. It ended up taking two and a half weeks, this wouldnt have been as big an issue but they never bothered to update us. My wife would call on the day they said itd be ready asking for an update only to be told they needed more time, then mysteriously receive an update text 15 minutes later saying the delivery date had been extended to the date they discussed. It got so bad that the day we actually picked the vehicle up they requested to keep it again for another day because they hadnt had time to clean it - we refused, we paid for a rental car those two and a half weeks and couldnt afford it anymore.- After parts were ordered, and we were told it would be awhile before theyd be in/she could been seen. Not a big deal, but during this time I called and told them there were a few rust spots I wanted taken care of, and would pay out of pocket, separate from insurance for that work. Was told theyd call with an estimate. I never received a call, and to be completely honest I didnt want to remind them after they had kept the vehicle for two and a half weeks.- A few weeks later I noticed the reverse light on the tail light they replaced wasnt working... hoping for burnt bulb but expecting a damaged fitting, what I found was worse > shear incompetence. There was still part of the old broken tail light in the fitting (see the picture) that piece was wedged into the fitting that there is no way the tech could have locked it into place... so no surprise when I found it dangling behind the light because it had fallen out.Never again
My car was severely vandalized. A complete stranger overheard my conversation with the insurance company and recommended Midwest Collision, so I decided to go with them. Midwest Collision exceeded my expectations in every possibly way. My windshield was shattered almost all the way through. I was living just down the road but didnt feel safe to drive it myself, as the insurance company suggested I should, yet didnt want to pay an expensive towing bill so they actually came and got my car. My car was also keyed all the way around. There was a little bit of rust on one side and a small scrape on the other. It was noted in the claim as pre-existing damage. I didnt ask them to fix it or even imagine they would but they did. My car was returned clean inside and out. A few days after I had it back I was leaving work, not really paying attention, and as I walked up I had a brief scare thinking I was about to get into the wrong car because it looked brand new! Finally, the overall customer service was great; everyone was so nice and helpful. They worked with my insurance company and made everything very easy for me. I simply signed over the insurance check and paid them my deductible. I have had it back for over a month now and have had no issues. I highly recommend them!
