I like their childrens clothes and lawn and garden the best in this Sears. The shoe department has a good variety also. I purchase from them as often as possible. I would give it a 5 star, but with the closure of many stores, I feel the energy has been lost by the employees and/or management at this location. I am hoping more people will shop here so we can keep this icon alive.
Store is closing. Good sales all around. Still have some button ups for larger men. But dont expect much past XXL right now. Clothes looked good, not just a bunch of factory 2nds.
The store feels a little sad for some reason. I guess it is where the electronics section has been removed, and also no longer having the portrait studio. I guess the company is trying to stay alive. They still have nice clothing section, on this trip I bought two shirts that are great quality. Not a lot of workers during the holiday season, but the few that I did run into were friendly. Hope that the company can turn it around, they need a product that makes people want to keep coming back.
Extremely clean and wonderful staff. Ive never had a issue with the items or staff. Even my kids love this place. I would recommend for all ages
They are closing so everything is marked down but still kind of high found a few good deals
Very little to select from and absolutely no service. The employees spend more time standing around talking to each other than assisting customers. Store is dirty and not maintained very well.
Love Sears.... great friendly helpful employees who put their customers 1st. Treat you like a friend and not a sale.
Still a good store. To bad the owners never learned to adjust to the market. Sears used to be where America shopped
Its closing for good so they have great deals
The folks were all happy and helpful.as well as professional. Great at suggesting extra items that would accompany what you were purchasing. Thanks yall 🤗.
You would think a company that is progressively failing and closing stores would have employees that try to keep business by not being rude and disrespectful to the only 2 potential customers in a 10,000 square foot store. But no, after rudely getting told not to be in the female fitting room waiting for my girlfriend to try on an outfit, we happily found the right size she needed and ordered it for cheaper on Amazon. Also, there are no signs whatsoever that designate the fitting room as Womens. To The blonde lady that turns around and walks away when a customer is talking to them, whom I assume is a manager, enjoy your job while your store is still open.
I have always liked Sears would like to see more sales but overall I enjoy the store . Staff is friendly store is clean .
The inventory is low but most everything is in stock. People in the tools area were helpful and friendly. I would go back but not sure if they will be there as business was slow.
I sure would like to see this store stay open. I like the points program they have and some of their sales are really good.
Sadly currently closing, but the staff is friendly and items are organized amazingly! Would recommend to shoppers!
Dont leave me Sears your a big part of my childhood. Looking through the Christmas catalog so I could tell santa Clause what I wanted to even as a adult I still enjoyed looking through the tool catalog so I knew what tool I didnt have.
This place is just ok. I dont look fr them to be around long🤣
I was very happy to discover that theres still a Sears here, like in most other towns and malls ours closed a year ago, likely the last one remaining in parts of four different states. Found some really good deals here, prices on some of the clothing comparable to second hand prices, but prices still too high on other merchandise, got a nice discount for a shop vac that was a display piece. I had fun shopping here, and exploring the store, and I really hope this Sears makes it, always been a fan of Sears growing up. The employees were friendly and helpful, and said they plan on staying open, there are also a few empty spots in the store, which indicates they have all ready downsized some, probably to help try to save the store on a budget. My suggestion is to lower the prices on some things to help bring in more traffic, and save one of the last handful of Sears stores still around. I wouldve added the 5th star if not for some of the prices, still all around well worth the drive up from Asheville to help support the last Sears left in the region. Finally Ill finish my review by saying, locals and visitors alike, get out of the house off of Amazon and away from Wal-Mart, and support this store.
I absolutely love this store. The associates are super friendly and make me feel like family every time I am in.
Nice Sears if Eddie Lampert doesnt shut it down. Only one left in the Tri Cities area. Staff is slim as with all Sears anymore.
Great store, dont let the neg reviews fool ya. Have always had a great experience with Sears.
Had a great sale on fall and winter stuff even though it’s summer. I took full advantage.
Needs more Tall clothing and drop that line they have as there brand it sux. Restock the store with up to date fashion that is not seconds as there line appears to be although I know it not second handed clothes but that is the appearance they give.
Theyre having a closing sale however when I compared prices to other stores and online realtors theyre sell prices which somewhere up to 70% off still only compared to if not or beat by other places Its not that I dont like Sears I hate to see the place go down I desperately wish that it wasnt happening however they got too proud of their stuff and someone else got in under the wire on them now their business is going down one of the first and the nation realtors and theyre running out of business I wish instead of closing that they would operate on a smaller income budget and a bigger price differential for the customer If that was the case this wouldnt be happening and I would be shopping there still
Lots of good items and prices what staff they do have is most often very helpful ; but understaffed
Great buys, I have always put off purchasing a cordless impact wrench, until today and had no intention to buy. BUT, price and staff was great .
Great bargains can be found at this Sears, and the staff seems very pleasant. This store seems to have just about everything from dishware to major appliances clothing jewelry, etc., all on one end of the Johnson City Mall.
Sears is a great place to shop for clothing. I always find what Im looking for.
I find gtreat bargins at this store every thing is in my buget
Great service great deals plus a free 25.00 in cash back rewards
Good if they have sale items that you need.
Unfortunately its going out of biusness. (Causality of Amazon?)
Courteous salespeople, refund was handled quickly, lots of nice stuff at great prices
I have tried for 30 minutes to get someone in Johnson City or Kingsport to answer the phone. How can you run and business and not even answer the phone for customers? This is my last attempt to take my business to them
Unfortunately this location is now also closing. Rumor has it the mall is kicking them out and not willing to renew the lease which is very disappointing if true.
Sears has always been a place of very good quality and pleasant employees.
Sad.. poorly stocked, way out dated in looks of store..walls and carpet in terrible condition. Staff nice..just sad to see them going down...people need to shop less online and actually get dressed and get out and shop! Helps to keep people in a job!
Working there part time setting up for the story closing in January
Nice to still be able to go to one of the old stores
Instore pick up place is hard to find unless you ask because it isnt marked but customer service is great
Sad to see it go. 5 stars
Sad place. The clothing and items smell like they have been in storage.
Still s nice store with decent selection.
Auto centers closed. The store has been cut back to almost nothing and prices are high. Unprofessional employees that act like they are forced to work instead of enjoying a job and take it out on customers.
They make it easy and free money back in points!
Is very interesting place to learn to things about art
A lot of the clothes are outdated and not in style anymore and the prices are outrageous for what they are offering. So I no longer shop there unless my mother wants to look around.
Petite sizes and mens Lee jeans..
Poor ol Sears, when they sold us out for Chinese made Craftsman tools, in order to redeem themselves they need to go all made in usa
Went to the Auto Center for an alignment and brake change, 7 hours later we finally left. They broke our brake line which they had to replace, they charged us for brake fluid that they leaked out, they had to make 3 trips out to get replacement parts because they didnt have them in stock. They tried to get us to get a lift home at the end of the day so they could just work on it the next day since they were closing. On top of all of this there was no communication and we played hell trying to get compensation which one we finally did was minimal at best.
I placed a layaway order in December 2016 it was supposed to take 2 weeks to come in after we paid it off we paid it off early and 3 months later it hasnt come so I call corporate and the product is no longer sold yet still it sits on there floor!!! The management was supposed to call but never did terrible bussiness
Not a lot of inventory, no plus size womens clothing, surprised its still open.
Always great service at reasonable prices in the Sears Auto Center!
Could have saved more if I had purchased online, will not go back to this location.
Prices were jacked up to be able to give a discount.
Good place for à store.
Never had an issue with this sears before not sure how business is though with a lot of sears shutting down
Its a nice clean store but the selection keeps dwindling
Nice clean establishment.
Employees are very nice.
It is okay but I dont know how long it will be around
Had to go on a safari to find someone that worked there and nothing had the price marked so I guess they want us to guess.
Only buy tools from there an will as long as they stay open
Found what I needed, good salesmen
I like to online shop here because of their customer pickup area where Im handicapped.
Great store!! Great prices!!
Had some good deals
Not quite like the norm. Seems very downsized.
Waste of my time could not get what I needed and it would take a month to get it.
Friendly staff and nice layout
It closed down
I didnt think we still had a Sears, I was basically surprised
Love shopping there
Freindly staff
Absolutely love this store!
Just the opposite of helpful!
Not what it once was but still sears what can I say
Always a great place to shop
Barely deserves one star
Love Sears, So heart breaking they are closing.
Great value and selection
Sears is gone, but they are still in business online.
Another closed store
The atmosphere is sad and the merchandise sparse.
Great store.
Its ok I guess
Closing store.
Great products
Selection not as good as it used to be.
As always - poor return policy. No wonder Sears is closing. I will not be back.
