Yep! I can see how another reviewer Angela Gonzales can perceived the owner to be rude. He could easily come off as rough around the edges and blunt. He came off as condescending but probably just being defensive as he wasnt aware of a promotion/program his Modcup was running as he had to call someone to verify. To his credit, he became nicer toward the end, possibly because he realize he doesnt have his own house in order (so to speak), or there was another customer arriving and watching.2 stars instead of 1, because as a fellow local business owner here in DTJC, I also know the frustrations of staffing during the Great Resignation and challenges of operating during the pandemic.
Warning: their drinks can be very addictive!! I come for the best espresso in NJ! That’s my opinion - Coffee tastes are subjective. I’ve been coming here since the truck was on the street in 2015 and the espresso is smooth and delicious every time. Its the only one that still tastes good with almond or oat milk. Their homemade chai tea is also great! It’s spicy and can be sweetened to taste - not the sugar overload you get at other places. If you come early, grab a pastry too.
I think they were closed today but I was walking by and one of the guys behind the counter seemed like a manager or something was extremely rude to another worker literally yelling at him. I can’t imagine anyone coming here if workers treat eachother like that!
Really good cup of coffee and staff that love their craft.
The coffee(Im into espresso/cappuccino) is exceptionally good! The price is not very affordable, but you know what you are paying for.
The best coffee, period.
