I drove over to TEA NJ so excited to discover new and old tea flavors. I planned to treat myself to lunch as well. UNFORTUNATELY the store was closed and gated. The website listed hours and I was there about noon! I called but no response and no voicemail.I can only assume they did not survive the COVID shutdown.Please update the website so others are no disappointed.

I loved this vegan restaurant. Their decoration is so different and beautiful, they had paintings all over their walls and tables, very interesting stuff. Staff was great too, very friendly. Food was great, excellent choice for Vegans and anyone who would like try something different. Recommended 100%

I’ve been a consistent customer with your business since your inception. I recently, ordered an In N Out burger with great disappointment. I received my In N Out burger burnt (refer to photo). I contacted your representative to explain the matter. Your representative solution to the matter was that the Uber driver had the burger for a long period of time. He then noted that I should not come to the restaurant because I was approaching him with an attitude. Upon arriving at the restaurant, he continued with the same rhetoric and nothing could be done. I find this to be unacceptable. He stated that he was the manager and that was the only solution. This treatment is very unfortunate. I am considering taking my business elsewhere.

If youre going for drinks, its ok/pretty decent. The food is the worst food Ive ever had in JC. They really served me a hot dog cut in half and called it sausage. Also whatever margarine they use to cook everything, my whole person smells like it and I cant get it off. I almost asked for a refund. If I end up getting sick (which is a maybe) Ill give it a one

This is one of the BEST and the GREATEST vegan spots I’ve ever been to. The food is phenomenal. I just ordered a V loaf wrap and it is SO much better than a beyond meat creation. I like that the wrap is filling and stuffed. Not to mention that it’s toasted on one side. So good!!4/13 UPDATE: does anyone know if they’re shut down? I’ve come by this place on 4 different occasions during business hours and it’s been closed.

They have the best veggie burgers in downtown JC (not just the beyond burgers that seem to be replacing veggie patties at most restaurants). They’re homemade with actual real ingredients and are always super tasty. Def would recommend if you’re looking for a delicious veggie burger that isn’t imitation meat. Pretty extensive menu for a cafe with some non veg options too.

Food looked and tastes great.

I had the unfortunate experience of walking into this establishment very hungry and ready to eat. The manager greeted us rudely at the door for not having masks on. We then went to retrieve our masks and re-entered the restaurant. My companion who is also a law enforcement officer and marine corps vet (off duty at the time) asked to use the restroom before we placed our order. The manager, Tom, told him he couldn’t use the bathroom until we paid. My companion explained we would be ordering and asked again politely. Tom (the manager) distastefully stated again he would need money first. I then confronted him and asked to speak to the owner to which he responded “I’m the manager I do what I want “. My companion offered cash just to use the restroom to avoid further discord but the manager refused to serve us and asked us to leave. He clearly didn’t want our business and was frustrated that we walked in close to closing time. He lacked people skills and human decency. I would NEVER eat here as a result which is unfortunate because the owner will undoubtedly pay for his managers gross and unprofessional behavior. Clearly this isn’t the first time he has used his power to disrespect potential customers. I left fuming and flabbergasted that anyone would treat a Vet like this and on Memorial Day weekend nonetheless !

Im a vegan and try vegan food all over the country and my partner and I had a bad experience at this place. Portions are small, food lacked flavor, my partners iced latte was watery from the ice that wasnt apparent in the drink at all when he recieved it (he didnt even drink it, they charged an extra 50 cents for ice???) it took 45 minutes to recieve two meals that were small... I wanted to like the place but unfortunately it was a waste. ):

Mamas spices and the vegan chorizo are AMAZING. Ironically, the tea and coffee were subpar.

This place looks super cute but service is trash and the Mac n cheese is nasty and basically it’s soup it’s pretty much turmeric soup other. And when I asked to switch it for the potatoes side they refused. But it’s all good there are so many great vegan spots in the area.

Love this cute boba place in Old Pasadena. My friend and I stopped by after eating hotpot. The girl at the register was super helpful with my order as it was my first time at the store. I ended up ordering the Uji Matcha Latte 50% sweet and it was delicious. Perfectly light and refreshing drink after a heavy meal. Love the cute marble tables and decor in the place. You can get some nice IG shots in the cafe. Recommend!

Stopped by for an early lunch one weekend. The food was good and the place it self is cute and had interesting art on the walls. Unfortunately, they were out of the Mac and cheese so I got the chili which was really good and a slice of chocolate cake which was slightly on the dry side but still tasted yummy. Also had the lavender tea latte which was amazing. My boyfriend had the earth’s bounty hot dog which he said he enjoyed. I tried a bit and it tasted very pickle-y, if that’s your thing. I can see myself coming back some time to try some of their other offerings.

We arrived with no one in front of us on line and waited 30+ minutes for our food. My girlfriend’s food came out 15 minutes before mine with a drink that was so sweet that it was undrinkable (cherry lemonade). We asked them if they could make it less sweet to which they said they couldn’t. We tried to water it down with our own water bottle which didn’t help. I then went inside and asked them to dump half of it out (something they perhaps should have done or suggested themselves). Mind you, this drink cost $4. That helped a little but it was still too sweet to drink.Aside from that, we both ordered burgers that were supposed to be either an Impossible or Beyond burger. We both received black bean burgers because they failed to tel us that they were out of both. No sides or anything. So we ended up paying $14 for what we deemed to be very mediocre sandwiches.In total, we paid over $40 including tip for sandwiches that didn’t have what we wanted and two undrinkable beverages (mine being a lukewarm, flavorless bubble tea).The staff was nice but communication was poor and we both left feeling very ripped off and little sick...

If I lived near this place, you would find me here multiple days a week for sure. I got the vegan #3 with the spicy chorizo...and wow..just wow, that and the potatoes are AMAZING. Not only is the food great, but the service was as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Im usually a person turn my nose up too anything thats vegan, because tofu does not satisfy my needs unless in miso soup. Whatever what I can say is, the staff is super nice and helped me pick out a great meal. Im not a tea person either, but I was convincing to trying it and I really enjoyed their tea. This is the place I will most likely take my girlfriend to If I am near the area again. Hopefully Ill see yall soon! Thank you so much for your hard work!

I got bubble tea from this place and it was terrible- bubbles are hard and they also get stuck in the straw even though the straw is a wide one. The powder is poorly mixed and you can taste lumps. I do not recommend this place for bubble tea.

This was a delicious restaurant specializing in healthy, vegetation and vegan dishes. The food tastes great, we got the teriyaki chicken and a spicy wrap. They have great hot sauce to go with it. The owner there was incredibly passionate, helpful, friendly and just pleasant so our experience was full of good vibes. Another thing to appreciate is then having actual meat options for those that arent vegan/vegetation. Lots of places specializing in those dishes carry no meat options so thats a smart move on their part. Id check it out of you want to eat healthy, tasty and affordably.

Music is a little too loud to read, if you have headphones its okay. Also I asked for a matcha latte for here (mostly for the latte art and picture) but instead I got a to go cup

Best bubble tea, they can brew real natural tea for you, great vegan food, and perfect for a group with different diets since they have vegan and also non-vegan food. The salmon is amazing! The customer service is superb. My favorite place in Jersey City!

They have a nice vibe in the restaurant but the food I had was disgusting. The Mac and cheese just dont buy it. The burrito was so dry. The sauce that the have was edible but they gave such a small amount. I wouldnt go back there again.

I walked in and a white male with longer hair was extremely rude yelling at me about not having a mask on. I was about to put it on but decided after getting that greeting that I won’t be returning here again and left. I can’t believe they give people greetings like that walking into an establishment. I go there from time to time for their bubble tea. Only place I get it from. The other day I had lunch there for the first time and really enjoyed it. The quality was good and the portion was perfect. Every person that has taken my orders, no matter who it is, is always nice and attentive. I also like that they support artist and have art pieces hanging from the walls all the time

I love Gregorys!!!! Their coffee is wonderful and their vegan lemon loaf is the only coffee-shop loaf cake Ive ever bought more than once because unlike most, it is not overly sweet and tastes like actual food. Their vegan breakfast scramble sandwich is incredible - better than I could have ever expected.

Extremely disappointed with this placeI went today and I got the number 3 vegan, Mac and cheese, chilli, and a slice of carrot cakeThe number 3 vegan was horrible. Potatoes were undercooked and old. I have attached a picture for reference you see the dark spots on the potatoes is because they are starting to rot.Mac and cheese as well HORRIBLE they have this Mac and cheese sitting under a heat light for hours. It was distasteful and just overall disgusting.Carrot cake was fine I guess if you’re fine with having huge chunks of carrots on a COLD cake like I’m saying this thing came straight out the fridgeChilli was decent.Everything came out to $30 for the small portions they give. I usually don’t mind paying a good amount for QUALITY food but this really isn’t it and I really hope they reach out and make this right.Not sure what changed with this place because I used to order all the time.

Ive been buying dessert there recently again They raised the price of their cake from $5 one week to $6 .Then the piece of cake is so small its not even worth it. Love this establishment! Since its a vegan based coffeehouse, its not 100% so, but their bubble drinks and coffee is exceptional! We had the taro bubble tea, and I had a brewed regular coffee, and have not had anything better from an independent or chain coffeehouse ever! Will definitely return, as the staff is welcoming and friendly, as well as providing excellent product for the masses.

The JC Hottie is INCREDIBLE. One of the best vegan burgers I have ever had - so much care goes into making sure every bite is super flavorful and delicious. Their coffee is great too!

The Dirty Thai is my favorite from this place. Plenty of milk substitutes and fair pricing. Tastes wonderful and one of my favorite places to grab some tea or espresso!

Great little mom and pop spot. Kind of a cute and honest little hole in the wall, I guess, but with a lot of character. I go there mostly for breakfast. Creative and quirky Vegan option on classic breakfast dishes and the dishes are affordable. Super friendly owner and they usually are playing vinyl versions of classic indie and punk records. Bravo.

Ordered delivery. Food is overpriced, $10 for ONE “Italian hot dog” that is literally 90% bread. Thick bread with a sausage hidden and topped with a little cheddar / yellow cheese (when mozzarella is advertised) and a little bit of beans (not tomato bean sauce as advertised). Not sure how that could be called Italian in ANY way shape or form. Or even a hot dog- it’s a sausage. The chili soup arrived in a plastic container (the kind that would normally be used for guacamole) Bizarre. Won’t be ordering again.

The cashier/waiter was very helpful and enthusiastic to help decide what my party was having for brunch. His suggestions were spot on - delicious meal and very warm atmosphere.The paintings on the wall are all for sale with small price tags on the boarders. I believe someone in the kitchen staff is the artist and they are really good! The small cafe has impressive artwork even in the bathroom! (P.S the artwork in the bathroom really made me laugh, so make it a point to check it out)Will be visiting again next time I am in the area

It’s a delightful little joint with amazing vegan food. Went here for a quick breakfast with my brother. We had liberty burger and spicy eggplant sausage rice wrap. Be careful when they say SPICY on the menu, it’s really spicy. Rice wrap was okay but burger was amazing.We also had chai latte and coconut bubble tea. Chai latte was a bit overloaded on cinnamon spice but bubble tea was amazing.Staff is really friendly. Would be back if in the neighborhood.

You taste the love in the food, Mr. Toledo is always a smiling face greeting you and knowing who you are. He knows tour favs, but isnt afraid to navigate you to something new that Mrs. Toledo has conjured up in that fantastic food brain of hers.

We have eaten here twice now and everything we have ordered is VERY tasty and delicious. The smoothies are wonderful too. I would highly recommend this special little spot.

I have not eaten red meat in 4 years so I was super excited to taste the vegan chili and I will say that Vegans are changing the game the chili was outstanding along with the spicy Italian sausage wrap which was completely vegan the menu makes you feel overwhelmed and happy

Very cozy spot filled with art. Vegan, vegetarian and carnivores delight! Inexpensive. Parking on streets nearby. I enjoyed vegan egg scramble with non- spicy vegan chorizo sausage (spicy version is available), multigrain croissant and side salad, hot matcha green tea latte with almond milk (many milks available), steel cut oatmeal with almond milk and a multi grain croissant. So tasty. Enjoy!

Went with my family, everyone loved the brunch special for $10 each. Spicy soy chorizo here is honestly better than real meat chorizo. Good amount of food with the brunch special which comes with a drink - highly recommend the spinach cider on a hot day 😀

Horrible burgers . Do not eat here if your looking for top quality vegan burgers. They use cheap product and owner is very unprofessional . This has become the neighborhood hangout for my friends and I. I absolutely love the family who owns TeaNJ, they are friendly, hospitable, and make an effort to build rapport with people in the neighborhood, which keeps everyone coming back.The food is fresh and amazing. Some of my faves, the Began Rice Wrap, Black Bean Rice Wrap, and the love of my life, v-loaf wrap. Add a piece of vegan carrot cake, and Thai bubble tea and Im in heaven.

I have been so disenchanted with Jersey City and its establishments lately so I dont say this lightly, I love this place! They are reasonably priced. The staff is so great and I could live on their variety of tea lattes.

This is a great hole in the wall that really feels like the type of quiet neighborhood cafe you dont see enough of anymore. It has a wide selection of drinks including both coffee and tea and you can even sit down and have a meal if you want. The prices are really great too. But what really makes the place shine is how attentive and welcoming the owner and the rest of the staff are. Highly recommend this place. Oh, and theres free wifi as well!

Disappointing. I found foreign matter (a piece of plastic) inside of the one of their burgers mid-meal. I called the restaurant and they apologized and offered me a complimentary burger; however, I don’t want the same thing happening again. This is a serious hazard. Although I’ve eaten here many times (in-person and using apps like grubhub) I won’t return.

Great neighborhood cafe! Their teas are made from whole tea leaves, unlike broken tea leaves most other places use. Cut open their blended tea bags and youll see whole herbs and other aromatics. Sandwiches are reasonably priced and made with care.Service is friendly. They go out of their way to make customers happy. Agree with the other reviewer that their menu is cryptic. Overall, great addition to the area.

I used to love this place but the service has downgraded a lot. After the waiter took my order she didnt bother to clean up the table I sat at. On top of that when she brought my order, she didnt even gave me a fork. How am I supposed to eat with my hands?. Last time I came same thing happened to me, I thought I would give this place one more shot I guess not never coming back.

Honestly the most heart warming, and home-iest place ever. Amazing music. It has become my weekly vegetarian/vegan “feel good” brunch spot. The staff is the kindest group of people. An experience here can lead you to question why chain places even exist, and helps you appreciate small quaint places as such. 7/5 Stars, I love this place. Please stay open forever. (Hint, PS I wish you could stay open later, for the poor folks on the 9-6 corporate schedule)
