I highly recommend this place!One of the best cafes that Ive ever tried in this area! Delicious food, excellent service!I will definitely come back more often!

This is a great addition to the neighborhood! The coffee is very good, the pastries excellent, and the service is caring and personal. Its small -- there arent many seats. And you should walk, there is very little parking around. But its worth it, and its the only coffee shop in the area.

The turkey sandwich was really good l, everything was very fresh and sooo tasty. I got a strawberry banana smoothie and it was amazing !The service was the best ! My friend and I even got a macaron to taste it !Definitely I’ll be back ! 😊

My mom and I got the White Moca coffee, was good but I cant say the same about the sweets. The Tiramisú cake was far from fresh and not worth it ($4usd for very small slice I wish you could notice by the picture) the scone was better. I noticed the floor was quite dirty and its surprising as it doesnt seem busy as it used to be before COVID times and the place is not as big or difficult to clean.I might be back for coffees but not for sweets. I will update my review in case I have a better experience for next time :)Thanl you City Cafe & Bakery. My mom left happy for the coffee!

Amazing oat milk chai latte was very creamy and I got a turkey sandwich with rich, fresh cheese and ingredients. Very flavorful and fulfilling

Love this place only spot in journal square you can get a decent chocolate croissant. Grateful they are open and around. But you have to go early to get the best stuff. I have yet to see the napoleons someone posted in a pic hope I do. Also another must have is the almond croissant its amazing.

This is the best cafe I have ever been too and is the only place where I felt like I got more than I paid, the latte I got was perfect and not too creamy or watery, the cheesecake was perfect and the patisserie was fresh and delicious

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is so nice and the food is always fresh. My go too for breakfast is the almond croissant and a nice iced coffee.I would come here as often as possible and it’s in such a convenient location. The owner is really dedicated and respectful of his customers and his son is really good at taking care of customers as well as everyone else here.They have may interesting and delicious menu options for lunch and dinner which is a rarity. I love trying new things here. You should totally stop by and give it a try.

Im a big fan of coffee, City cafe are offering the best espresso coffee, Im student in hudson community College and their espresso give me such an energy and letting me focus more for my math classes. 100% recommended

I’m a big fan of this place! It’s not a great place to sit down and do work, because there are only three small tables in a cramped space, but this is my go to grab and go coffee spot in Journal Square! Their coffee is delicious and doesn’t give me jitters. They have sandwiches and pastries available too! Everything here feels very high quality and all the employees are nice as heck. Can not recommend this place enough

While visiting my in laws, every morning I had to drive to starbucks and struggle finding parking to get a decent coffee. Then I discovered this place! Excellent coffee and breakfast spot with an Amazing staff and a very reasonable price. But what really snapped my attention is the how clean is the place!

Hip spot located in the heart of Journal square. Great place for a grab and go coffee but I would not say its a lounge café. The interior is small and space is limited. Ordered a chai latte and almond croissant while here. Both were good quality. The menu offers a variety of coffee, tea and juice beverages.

Delicious grilled chicken sandwich and tomato soup. Good prices and great selection of sandwiches and pastries.

One brunette barista was wearing clothing that was see-through white, inppropriate workplace attire. No apron. You could see her nipples when you walked through the door- and she did not know how to make the beverages we had ordered. Smoothies were extremely bland, and the bendy straws they give you are not ideal for smoothie consumption.Not impressed.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! The blonde barista Emma was super nice and suggested that I put orange juice instead of milk in my pineapple, banana and mango smoothie. She said that the milk would cancel out the pineapple flavor so I ordered it both ways to see if she was right... AND SHE WAS!!! The orange juice blend was AMAZING and the milk blend was bland like she said it would be. I never knew the difference until she mentioned it and now I can tell all my friends about this discovery thanks to this lovely barista!

Always would visit this place for my iced chai latte for a good pick me up if I was having a rough day at work. Emma and the other blonde woman (unfortunately never caught her name) working would always greet me with a smile and were so friendly! It really made my day! The iced chai is yummy and so are their sandwiches (I always got the grilled chicken) and don’t get me started on their cakes! All so good! I’m leaving my job/the area so unfortunately I won’t be stopping here anymore but I absolutely loved going here ! I felt so sad about it I had to give these guys a personal thank you card!

Good stuff, I had a pastry and a chocolate croissant, both were great. Nice to see new businesses popping up. I think the lights on the sign outside dont look good, they are partially covering the store sign. They should be above the sign pointing down.

Generously filled turkey pesto panini with nice fresh bread was delicious as was the turkey croissant and blueberry muffin. Coffee was fantastic. Great spot.

Its small and tries to be a true bakery but its selection is small and not very realistic. They ship in products and nothing is made on premises sandwiches are small and high priced breakfast sandwiches are microwaved and small in portion. In my opinion it needs to mature and act like a bakery and not a botique

This is a small coffee shop. The quality of the coffee is somewhere between Starbucks and Dunkin donuts. Prices are quite normal for gourmet coffee, but pricey at 4-5 dollars a drink item. There are food items available, but given the lack of refrigeration, I havent tried anything. There is limited seating so you cant really bring more than 2-3 friends.
