Really, really, REALLY great coffee here.They open early so you can get your fix and by 3:30pm they are closed.They have deep rich aromatic beans that they grind & diverse syrups (including blueberry!). They offer non dairy milk substitutes & have morning pastries.Nouf said. Just go there.

The first time I walked into The Grind, Tatiana and Luna greeted me with a welcoming Good morning and smiling eyes (masked smile). I love it when proprietors know their product to answer questions and suggest menu favorites. This is a black-owned, mom and pop, local coffee shop with character and class. And the lattes are amazing. Caramel with oat milk and I am screaming! When its safe to hang out there, Ill have my computer and an occasional client meet in The Grind.

The coffee was nice and freshly brewed. They had a vegan style donut with coconut flakes. It was tasty and just right with the cup of coffee. Parking was a pain 🥺

Awesome coffee, awesome environment and awesome people working there. All around great place for really good coffee. Especially their special lattes. The coquito latte and the pistachio latte is out of this world. But I must say the highlight of their everyday items is the “Black and Tan” which is cold brew with a draft latte floater that mix together to be a creamy, smooth flavorful cup of deliciousness.

Still have not received my order from May 31st. Zero response from multiple emails sent. Would not recommend if you want to actually receive your items.

Great experience - we were greeted warmly and the lattes and pastries were delicious! The place also has a nice ambiance both inside and out. This is definitely a place to visit often!

Omg! I love this place. It has some of the best pastries you can find on this side of the Hudson. Edwin is the best! The donuts are famously good and the coffee has flavor for miles.

One of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to! The vibe is so cool and the minimalist style is very comfortable. The two gentlemen working were super nice and welcoming. I had an iced mocha and it was the best one I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a LOT...so that’s saying something. I wish I lived near here! It’s worth a trip though. Highly recommend

Googled a decent roasters for a latte, drove myself all the way from Newark. It was worthy. Latte was excellent and fairly priced for the quality. Doughnuts were expensive, but of the highest quality too. Place was clean, checkout was fast, they have plugs and WiFi, and service was very good! I’m Definitely coming back.

Good local neighborhood coffee shop. They have Wi-Fi and take cards. They have Oatmilk which is great, and AlmondMilk too but no soy (Oatmilk is a good alternative though if you havent tried it). Friendly staff. A bunch of different pastries. No meals but there is open fridge with some pre-packaged salads.

I am in love!!! It is a perfect place to get coffee and vegan donuts. I live 40 minutes away however it was worth it to support. It was a delightful experience for me. I raved about The Grind to a relative and they questioned about the customer service. Well, the customer service was A1. The young lady that took the order was so patient and gave plenty of suggestions no matter the length of the line she was willing to wait and for that patient gesture I appreciated her. The donuts were so delish! I purchased the chocolate and coconut YUM! It as really serene hopefully when things open back up I will be able to get the full effect of THE GRIND.The only thing that seem like it could be a pain is PARKING! I rode around for parking which I hate but its just the location.

Hands down the best coffee in all of Jersey City!! They have the best beans, which translates into amazing coffee and cold brew. Its also a plus that the baristas ALWAYS make some latte art when they prepare lattes. Beyond amazing and Im always coming back for more!

Being from the general neighborhood I can tell you firsthand how hard it has been to get some good coffee, especially iced coffee in the area and thank goodness thank goodness they moved in lol The Grind has been a uplifting member of the community since they moved in . Great coffee in any style you could ask for and no joke the pastries they have brought in are hella good . Not expensive either !!

Drive here from Bayonne in support of Black Owned businesses and I wasn’t disappointed. The matcha latte was fresh and I loved the lemon and poppyseed muffin. I think my kids had a chocolate donut, they said it was great (4 and 6 year olds lol). All good until some woman thought I was trying to sleep here when I clearly my drink in my hand. Overall, excellent coffee shop and I’m an advent drinker of caffeinated beverages

It was a great place to work! Its cozy and super clean. The staff are friendly and you can see that different kinds of people like coming in here. It is a very modern setup and probably the only food/beverage joint on the whole street that takes card. Definitely worth 5/5 stars!

Small, cozy place with a nice ambiance. The coffee, teas, and pastries are great. They have an open Mic night but its a different crowd than those that frequent the spot during the day. A lot of young people, teenagers to early 20s. Otherwise, great, great place!

I must say they have the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. I’m a Starbucks lover but after having the Cold Brew from here, it’s superb. Love this place!

Lovely coffee place and great atmosphere. I review from a remote work perspective.Internet here is solid (65mbps). Lots of space too given number of people that come. I revisited and they have a bunch of outlets along the window tables and one very very under the wall bench. Tables have small coat rack hooks for you to hang and music is just the right volume (music I think determined by who is shifting).I tried their blueberry donut and it was pretty good overall. The staff are extremely nice (one time they missed my order for a bit and personally apologized and even offered a second one on the house). I have to say I am very impressed with their coffee -- I ordered a cortado and then a macchiato and their espresso has consistently been spot on and well adjusted.Highly recommend swinging by if you ever get a chance :)

As a small business owner myself, cant think of a better way to fuel myself but with some Grind Shop Coffee. Both the hot coffee and ice coffee are solid options. This is a nice boutique style coffee shop with a very welcoming seating area. I also enjoy the small pastries including the chocolate croissant and doughnut options.

Good place for a quick coffee or a place to hangout and work. Good amount of seating and great music (normally playing hip hop). La columbe coffee and decent snacks. Not a meal kind of place.

Got a pretty good iced latte today. They have limited milk options (only had whole or skim) but maybe Im just being spoiled by Starbucks. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. Really like the minimal design, props to the decorator. They have Planet Donut donuts on weekends here which is cool.

This is the best coffee in the neighborhood! The staff is amazing, always courteous and fast. They also have donuts from donut plant on weekends and theyre amazing. I have to stop myself from buying more :) I hope they keep expanding ... maybe up the hill a bit to Bergen?

Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. Great La Colombe coffee prepared perfectly, excellent pastries (including Donut Plant on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays), good music and atmosphere, and friendly employees. Basically everything youd want in a coffee shop.
