I’ve had a horrible experience with this location and I’m still dealing with the issue. I purchased my car on June 23,2020 and have not received my tags. It’s currently October 22 and no one has reached out to me. I’ve called, asked for assistance on what could be done and I keep getting the run around. Cameron finally responds via text to let me know that they needed another paper to process my tags. Then he proceeds to let me know that his GM is going to see about getting me in a rental vehicle until my tags get in. Do you think that happened? NO, and here I am driving a car with expired tags that I have already got pulled over in because of their lack of unprofessionalism and not processing things correctly. I would give them zero stars if I could.

I stopped in on Saturday to shop for a vehicle. No one ever greeted me. I went inside and spoke to a very polite lady at the reception desk. I saw how busy they were and that there were people waiting for a salesperson. I decided not to wait and left my name and number. It is Tuesday evening and no one has called...just really bad customer service.

Don Knowles was my sales person. No BS, no frills, just telling you what was what. Did a great job and was super helpful. If you bank with Community First Credit Union, your process will be challenging. There are some issues between that particular credit union and Hertz sales. Be prepared to work to get a check to Hertz if you finance through that credit union. Any other credit union or bank and you are fine. Also finance through a credit union to get better rates.Right now inventory is at crazy low prices (under NADA suggested). I bought my vehicle and actually have equity.Some things you need to know. Hertz is not like a dealership. There isnt any haggling, the vehicles wont be detailed, what you see is what you get. Also they are VERY busy but they have GREAT deals going on. The paperwork process was pretty simple. Once I had my check in hand I was out in less than an hour.If you are looking to haggle prices or negotiate extras, this isnt the place.I will add, if it wasnt for Don, my deal would not have gone through. He was able to prevent a catch 22 situation with my deal.Ask for Don!

This dealer provided a great car buying experience! The salesperson, Christopher, was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He understood that I intended to stick with my decisions and not be persuaded to buy something other than what I intended. The vehicles were all at great prices, some of the lowest I’ve ever seen at a dealer. Vehicles were as expected: somewhat used and with minor cosmetic imperfections but nothing major. The service was attentive and quite personal. However, as business picked up towards the afternoon it seemed a bit overwhelmed as our salesperson had to help others in addition to us. Overall, I highly recommend this dealer for an economical used car.

There was a car there I really wanted, but didnt think could make happen, but they were able to help me finance at a lower-rate than offered at my bank to make it happen! I had an above average experience here. Being the first time I had bought a vehicle on my own, I felt as ease. I got the exact car that I wanted for a really good price. Chase made me feel as if I were a long time friend, not just a person he was trying to sell a car to. Definitely happy with the experience.

I hate shopping. So I ended up at Hertz when my Ford died on again. I was looking for Camry, but Troy suggested checking out Sonata. I rented it for 3 days, and still rented Camry from enterprise across the street. I loved sonata, and I was not impressed with Camry. My russian guy who was looking for a Camry for me at the auctions said that it was unlikely for him to find better deal at the auction comparing to Hertz offer for sonata. It was 2016, 38k miles on it, $12.9 sticker price with $15k out of the door. No bargaining, and going back and forth. They are on salary and dont make any commissions. The price online is the final price. I returned a few days later to sign papers, and it took about 30 min from start to finish. We will need another car in a few months when my wife gets here, and we will probably come back here. I am 99% sure.

Brought home a 2018 Kia Rio from this location after looking high and low for the best pricing, and looking for the least shady place to pick up a car (Carvana, Carmax, Dealerships, Craigslist) This was by far the cheapest option and my research yielded a lot higher hopes buying directly from a rental company than the other places listed. Price was far below the others for a car that has been routinely maintained. This was my first time buying a car and it was a very painless process, the man who sold me the car was Troy Bishop, he made things very straight forward, no hassle what so ever,was very quick to respond over text about the vehicle I was curious about. Once I arrived he did not hide the cosmetic damage of the car from me, which I greatly appreciate, it makes it feel much more honest that he was forward about it which, I didn’t mind as long as it’s engine was in good working condition which, after bringing it from the mechanic today got the green light and, is indeed in good condition just as he said. If you are looking for an honest person Troy is definitely the go to man. He also worked with someone by the name of Bill when I requested to have the financing length changed, both were extremely helpful and got this worked out for me. Thank you to both of them for making this experience as pleasant as it was.

I saw a Kia Niro on several sites for this location. When I called to purchase it, I was told that the vehicle was sold already and for some reason is stuck on their website . This location has employees that are obviously incompetent since no one is able to figure out how to remove a vehicle from the website.

My partner and I are both in the presidents circle with hertz and if this is how they treat their president members, Lord help everyone else.With all of this offices red tape it took 4 weeks and several calls to get this deal done. We had our own financing and our bank was ready to close in 2 day. Our bank told us they have never had to deal with such a difficult car dealership. Hertz held onto to our payoff for 2-3 weeks after the check was cut to them.Oh and the points promised for being a President member never came. You can get a good deal but keep in mind you will own the follow up and hand holding with this dealership.This office doesnt understand the program or we were discriminated against. Will never do business with this office again!Pam is this offices only saving grace. She was chipper and tried to defuse the situtations as much as she could. But the management here is not what we expect!

I am not sure if it was because of my ethnicity (Afro-American), the fact that I came in with my friends, or the fact that I am a female. But one thing was sure... The stereotypical treatment was definitely seen by the couple with me. No one wanted to answer my questions nor did they want to assist me. I am a United States Marine Corps Female Veteran. It is so insane for individuals to judge as if they knew my worth. You needed that sale. However, I will take my ethnicity, my money, my credit score, and all if my femaleness and go elsewhere. Let me first say, I think i have written 1 bad review in my life as its a waste of time but these people deserve it. The only thing worth it here would be the price of the vehicle. The rest is horrible. The staff is so unprofessional and they could care less if they sell you the car your excited about. I found vehicle on their site and went to check it out. It was still across the street at Pep boys for a routine safety check, however he stated it was at its rawest form as it was disgusting inside. As for payment he told he would not take an express check (blank check) from my bank community first. So i asked him other options. He stated i could fiance with him or request a written out cashiers check from CF......so i did. It was a process of sending documentation back and forth between my bank and we started the process. My back contacted me and told me that they needed a letter of guarantee from Hertz and a few more normal tasks like verifying the title would be processed and the DMV paperwork would be taking care of and they would over night the check as soon as they receive that letter. Hertz told me that if i didnt give them the money today that i could lose the car to someone else.(Keep in mind the car had still not been clean as i had test drove it yesterday still gross). So the length of this financial process should not be interfering with my purchase, My salesman comes back on text and says hey sorry, my GM is not going to work with your bank. There asking to much and their not giving you the money fast enough so you have to fiance with us or your not getting this car. Taking my business elsewhere.

This is the perfect place to go if you hate dealing with car salesmen. They didnt bother us as soon as we pulled up in the parking lot. They were patient and kind and really went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our experience. If you have a pre-approved loan from a bank, avoid this place. They wont accept it. They make up lies just so you finance with them so they can make more money off of you. We spent too many hours here. Very unprofessional and time wasters!!!! Also no carfax, no service history, basically nothing, so if you want it, you have to pay.

Here for a rental. 1 hour after my reservation. They gave my car away. Blame me for being late....now I have to wait for a car (and its my fault). Cannot park personal car at the location so I have to park it somewhere else...big waste of time and lots of frustration. Wont be back.

Rude employees, terrible service and high prices. They do quick, shoddy repairs to cover damages they dont disclose. Two months later, the magic marker wears off and you can see multiple areas of damage.

Pros: The car was competitively pricedCons:1) The condition of the car: At first appearance and on the test drive the car was clean and in good working order. There was an issue where the salesperson had to inflate the tires before we test drove, but it appeared to be a regular maintenance issue. As it turns out the, tire had a hole in the side wall which required me to replace both rear tires within a month of the car’s purchase. I requested that Hertz reimburse me the price of the single tire as a measure of good will but was not provided a final response after multiple contacts with the office. Also, the interior was not thoroughly detailed. I found fries and other garbage throughout.2) The buying process was not streamlined and communication between the trade in appraisers and the sales rep was not good. There was a lot of waiting for the trade in value to be finalized.I have previously purchased other used rental cars through Enterprise and my experience there with car quality, customer service, and buying process was much better.

Me and wife found a great vehicle they were awesome!!! Other dealerships like Tillman will take you for $10,000 extra with terrible financing as Hertz sales a great vehicle that has not been repaired! The same car at any dealership is about $10,000-$16000 cheaper and verified certified !

The cars are nice, but the sales lady Angie who helped us was super unprofessional. It’s clear she didn’t know what she was talking about. Even then, the ridiculous part is that she wouldn’t even bother to look it up! She would side step and say its online or can be looked up online. She is just lucky we needed a car today or we would have walked out due to her lack of knowledge, lack of professionalism and lack of customer service! She was unclear and vague. Made us wait for so long so no good reason and was super unapologetic about it! Started helping others and appeared super “busy” even though there were 2 other sales people sitting around completely free. Sigh! Such a waste of time! Too bad the cars are nice, wish the people were more professional and knowledgeable.

Bait and switch... My wife and I found a car that we were ready to buy on Sunday evening, but due to restrictions from my creditor I was unable to purchase until the following day. The next day when I went in to purchase the vehicle I was informed that it had been sold... But the step up was available. It had more miles, and was considerably more expensive. The additional features were a sun roof and blinkers on the side mirrors.

Went in to Hertz today with a pre approval from my bank, before arriving I called and spoke with Don/Dan, because thats who answered the phone told him I seen a car on the site I was interested in, he said come on in and we will take care of you! Got to Hertz, Don/Dan sent someone else to help me after waiting 15 minutes, finally he comes out and say what can I do for you? Explained my daughter wanted the 2017 Chevy Impala which was 13989....I explained I had a pre approval, for 14500 he then stated with taxes, tag, and title your looking at about 15,500..I called my bank told them I needed 15,500...My banked cancelled the 14,500 and approved 15,500....well I asked could I test drive....Why did I do that? Dan/Don then stated well your from GEORGIA different tax bracket so your looking at 16,000...I had just called my bank and had a pre approval cancelled, so now you give me a different amount AGAIN! Then he stated, we dont set the prices corporate do and want allow us to change them....I stated to him, I drove all the way from Georgia, to play games at HERTZ? Another customer, came up to me and stated maam take your money elsewhere they seem like they dont even want to sell you a car. I responded and said you are ABSOLUTELY correct, well before I leave Dan/Don came back up and said Im not rushing you, but what do you want to do? I said you have the same car listed in Orlando for 1,000 cheaper, his response I suggest you go there and buy that one🙄 I then responded, you have been the most rude salesman I have EVER come in contact with. you never had ANY intentions of selling me a car, I came with my own approval, I didnt need yours. 1st and LASTTTTTTTT time shopping for a vehicle at HERTZ on Atlantic, In Jacksonville Florida.
