Additional labor cost is unpredictable and could be out of your control in this dealer. If you work with Colin, be sure to let him explain everything clearly in one call. Don’t let that phone call end if he fails to do that, or at least don’t end it without clearly saying “I do not approve that”.No need to feel bad about directly saying that sentence out loud and clear unless you are 100% sure of what, how and why they are doing it, as well as the price breakdown. Colin seems to be very good at wordings to make things unclear on phone call, and unfortunately it happened to me that one second after I ended that call, it’s impossible to reach him for clarification anymore. That phone call turned out to be what he used to go against me with a bad manner when I asked for explanation later, which was a horrible customer experience. So just be careful with that, think comprehensively, double check your understanding with him within that one phone call, and good luck on no need to have any more communications with him.Add one star for the manager I spoke to whose attitude was good and who gave me a partial refund to compensate my very bad customer experience a little bit.

Bought a Truck from Simpsons. It did not come with the locking lug nuts, or under seat storage that was listed on the accessories list. I contacted the salesman multiple times over a three month period. Finally the parts came in, and I scheduled an appointment to have them installed. The salesman told me he would have the service department fill the truck with fuel for taking so long to get parts. It took them 3 1/2 hours to install parts that would have taken me 15 minutes to install. Not to mention that they didnt bother filling the truck with gas, as promised. Never going back to this dealership. Very disappointing experience.

Had a great experience buying a used Honda Odyssey from Raven at Simpson Chevrolet of Irvine. The price was great and the condition of the car was like new! They were very transparent about everything from the start from pricing to previous damage. Unlike another dealership we visited just before this, the salesmen were professional, timely, and honest. I couldnt be happier. Thank you, Raven for a wonderful car buying experience!

The worse customer service starting with the manager. They dont even want to see your face or talk to you to avoid the problem with you. Only nice to get what they want out of you. But when they dont get their way, they dont want to help you. They wont apologize or show their face. Worse dealer ever dealt with.

Colin Dresser was my service representative. He did not update me in a timely manner (he didnt update me when he said he would and only gave half updates). The only time that I was taken care of was the time that I dropped off my car. I dropped off my car for a recall and to get the A/C controls looked at. I drove over an hour away, and ended up getting stuck up there. Although, they did get me a service vehicle, my service representative did not call or provide me with any updates when he said he would. When I did call for updates, he gave very vague updates which were incorrect. I was not told my car would not be ready until I was already almost half way there, not to mention, I had my car back for less than two hours, when my check engine light came back on.Lastly, I told my service representative that I could not leave my car for longer than overnight, because I am moving, and he basically did the EXACT opposite of everything I said. He did not explicitly get permission to go forward with the repairs, and every time I told him, no you cannot keep my car (which was at least 4 times in one conversation), he basically told me, yeah, well we are keeping your car anyway.Their only saving grace, was that I received a loaner SUV, and that they were able to find a coupon to knock my price down.Using terms of endearment, like love, sweetie, or whatever the case may be is also not a good way to be a sales rep. Please keep it professional.

Bought my 2020 camaro 2ss from Simpson Chevrolet. Cant say enough about the staff at this place. I must have went in atleast 20x in the few months before I purchased the Camaro. They always took the time to talk to me without pressing the sale. The car i wanted was sold the day before so they found me a better car and gave it to me for the same price. I love my car and the people at Simpson are awesome 👌. Thanks again

I have been bringing my truck here for a year now for all of its maintenance, and I do not have a single complaint about them. The service staff are very friendly and courteous. They have always been quick to get me in and the work started. I do always make an appointment though, I have never just walked in. Also, I am a carpenter and they are very accommodating of the fact that I need my truck during the week for work and dont mind me taking it back the next weekend for further work if necessary.

Bought a used Silverado from Simpson Irvine. Team was prompt, courteous and professional throughout the sale process. I believe service is also a form of sales as well. There were a couple of minor issues later with the truck but Nico and his sales team colleagues coordinated with the service team to get these sorted to my satisfaction. Service team member Jeff was particularly helpful with suggestions on how to connect some trailer electrical accessories. Much appreciated all, well done!

Well, let’s just start by saying I have the Chevy app and I get driving ratings based on how I drive my car. What I didn’t know is that it also shows the trips. I just found out my car was driven to auto zone while it was supposed to be at the dealership for service. Buyers Beware, the service department takes your OWN car to buy parts. My car was there for 4 days to get “repaired” and the noise is back. While it was under warranty and didn’t pay for the repair, it truly shows the quality of service. My car didn’t need to be driven anywhere to find the noise, the noise in the engine was there when the car started in the morning. My car was driven 8 miles with fast acceleration and hard braking. Don’t take your car to this place. Find somewhere who respects your property. Ah one more thing, when they couldn’t find where the noise was, I was given a false problem that warranty didn’t cover. Of course I declined to get it repaired since the noise in the engine had nothing to do with the alternator. Then magically, they found the problem shortly thereafter. I hate leaving bad reviews but after seeing my car was driven to auto zone, I feel violated.

Worst experience ever. went in for oil change and got talked into spending $2,200. i get my car back with dent and it dies the next day. take it in again and car returns with torn leather seat and they deny it all and dont repair but try to sell me a new seat at my expense. used to be chevy fan not anymore. ruined my trust in Chevrolet forever and this is at a dealership not random repair shop.

BOUGHT a used car. Signed the deal,turned in the money and documents. Had car for a week. Went back to figure out why Im still receiving credit inquiries. They cut back on the deal, raise the payments, raise the apr, cut the warranty, gap insurance and maintenance and try to redeal after deal was made. Retuened the car and got my down payment and trade in back due to lenders. Coincidentally engine light came on car weekend after i bought it. Horrible. Worst experience in a dealer ever.

Bought two cars from Simpson. Very friendly, great service department, very easy access off the freeway in Lake Forest/Irvine. Great sales department as well. Very low pressure. I would definitely purchase from Simpson again. Unfortunately Chevrolet stopped making the car we wanted

First, I purchased my car at Simpson and had a wonderful experience--I would purchase a car at the dealership again.However, I had an awful experience at the service department. I took my car in for the first scheduled service, which was free. When they said my car was ready, I asked if they had replaced the passenger compartment air filter and they said, no, but we can add that for $95. This was part of the recommended service per the manual, but the person with whom I spoke did not care. When the technician brought my car out, it was dirtier than when I dropped it off. The worst part was that the technician was not wearing gloves or a mask and were in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic--their website says that they disinfect your car if you take it in but that clearly was not done! They also call constantly trying to schedule your service appointment and then confirm it and then follow up to confirm it again--they do this even if you tell them that you would prefer that they contact you by email. I am NEVER going to the service department here again.

This place has terrible customer service. Wouldnt tell us if repairing the gear shifter on our 2018 Chevy Traverse was covered under the warranty. We already knew what was wrong just wanted to know what the warranty covered since the car is fairly new but had just hit 40,000 miles. They just wanted to charge us $200 to check the codes and tell us it wasnt covered under the warranty. My husband ended up paying less than $200 for the part and replacing it himself. I felt like I was talking to a shady used car salesman while trying to figure out if they would repair it or we would do it ourselves. Customer service was lacking.

Had recall work done on my car. I was told it wouldnt take more than 4 hours. When I called 7 hours later, my car was just finished. No apology was received. Had to wait almost 20 more minutes while my car was retrieved. According to the paperwork, it took all of one hour to perform the work. While the service tech was great in the morning, it was extremely disappointing there was no follow-up progress call in the afternoon. Not a happy camper.
