Dave was exceptional and provided me with the best experience. Everyone here is super helpful, knowledgeable, and truly has your best interest in mind. I’ve never had a transmission issue with my vehicle until lately. I found them online decided to try to see if they could fix it and honestly I’m so glad I ran across their business because it was the most exceptional experience I’ve had. I was nervous because I’ve never had to deal with a ton of car issues but they made it seamless and worry free.

I was down in Orange County for a vacation and had a rear axle issue come up. It was super stressful because I had to drive home with the whole family!Dave was super efficient and helpful. They were honest. Did a small repair and I was in my way. No price gouging, no up selling, and way easier to deal with than the dealership. Seriously a god-send! Thanks guys! What Can I say.. Like many others Reviewing, Dave is absolutely the Best. When I thought I was just going to “Deal” with my transmission issue and I had no where else to turn, Dave came and saves the day and my Truck! I had been working with a Warranty Company for a year who was “fixing” my transmission. But, what was happening was they were sending me Refurbished units and having There Own mechanics do the work. Which, was not fixing the issue, just prolonging it. Finally, fed up, I, in a last ditch effort called Irvine Transmission and Differential. A friendly voice answered the phone “Irvine Transmission and Differential, This is Dave”. This is where my luck started to turn around. Dave vowed, NO MATTER WHAT, he will figure out the issue and even went on to diagnose for FREE. Dave and his Team spent hours pin pointing the issue and actually at the same time identified a new issue that he is currently going to repair for me now. Finally, Issue found, not only did he rebuild my transmission but Also got a new case so the entire unit is new and I will not have to deal with any of the previous issues again. What is even crazier and so great about dave is when I would call right away he would know my name, my vehicle and what the issue was. Now, fast forward a couple months and I get a phone call, who is it? Dave!! Following up to see how the trans is doing, any issues, any questions etc. And of course, It is AMAZING! Shifting better and tighter than it ever had in the past! Also, he remembered I have the other issue with my diff and was curious if I wanted to get that looked at as well. So, here we are, I am dropping off my vehicle and leaving this review to say if you want, an Honest, Diligent, hard working, personable shop to fix your vehicle the right way you will take it to Dave! Recommended by my mechanic, Theyre 31 miles from my home, one way . They rebuilt my transmission in less than a week. Great price considering outrageous inflation since the last time I had a transmission rebuilt in the 90s .

Dave is the best. My college daughter brought in her 2000 Wrangler. Dave diagnosed and fixed the issue in no time. He was super professional and my daughter said she will go nowhere else!!

I cant say enough good things about Irvine transmission. David is the manager and took good care of us. The transmission went out in my Escalade David and his staff was able to diagnose the problem very quickly. They gave me an amazing quote and I jumped all over it.My car was fixed in a couple days and runs better than ever.These guys are the real deal make sure you ask for Dave hell take a care of you.

My GMC 2015 Envoy 4.2i with 4wd was having a transmission issue slipping back and forth between overdrive(4th) and 3rd under power at 50mph. Read the reviews for Irvine transmission and called, talked with Dave the manager. Explained what symptoms were, type vehicle etc. I did not have a check engine light on. Dave answered my questions explained in clear language what and how they will approach my vehicle. He suggested to bring my car in and have my vehicle reviewed by one of the techs with a test drive and to use their scan tool on it. I dropped off my car and had another discussion with Dave and reconfirmed process and left. Within the hour Dave calls and said did I know I had a stored code in the car computer indicating a random misfire? No I did not. He said they can not go any further until that code is cleared. Picked up my car had the code issue resolved. Brought my car back dropped off for review and another test drive by their technician and surprise another call back from Dave. No codes for engine, no codes on transmission, their scan tool showed the transmission was properly shifting through the gears on their test drive. They could not get the car to do the slipping in 3rd or 4th. Morale of the story. These guys care and they do the right thing. I do not hesitate to refer Dave and the crew at Irvine transmission. Will definitely take my car back if and when it needs transmission help or standard transmission service.

These guys are the best, Professional knowledgeable. 7 months later I had a problem with a transmission they had rebuilt and they fixed it even though it was a hose failure that wasnt part of the original work and they did it for free. Thats above and beyond the service youll find.

This shop is the Best!! Hands down! if you are like me and have tried and been dissappointed with many other shops, Dave and his crew of knowledgible and honest mechanics are a hidden gem amongst many choices! They can do it all, not just transmissions despite the name, and if they cannot repair something - they have told me honestly and steered me in the way of another reputible shop that can.Honestly, for any and all of my automotive needs to come, the first thing I will do is get on the phone with Dave! These guys are the absolute best. Dale, I cant thank you enough!I brought my car in for the first time about a month ago for a free assessment since my normal tune up guy said we should check out a transmission specialist since my car was jolting pretty badly when shifting between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd, and sometimes even when it would come to a stop. My normal tune up guy (whos also wonderful), John from Irvine Auto, said it could be that the transmission fluid was dirty, but it probably was something worse and that I should get a transmission specialist to check it out. I know John has his guys he recommends who do transmissions, but I decided to google some and bring my car into the specialist who had the best reviews online--and thats how I found Dale and Irvine Transmission Center! After a free assessment, Dale explained to us that I should get my transmission rebuilt else I buy a new car (if there were other problems with my car). Luckily, all else with my car seems great and as its a Honda Accord (2002) with about 150k miles on it, seems like it could go another 150k if the transmission was rebuilt. I was very impressed with how thorough he was at explaining the problem to my boyfriend and me and was glad to see many previous customers had even sent physical thank you letters to Dale that hes displayed in his shop.I spent another jolty week driving around on my car and soon realized this problem needed to be fixed VERY SOON as it was getting worse each day. So, about 6 days after my free assessment and quote, I dropped off my car with Dale. I dropped it off on a Monday early morning (8am) and picked it up that Wednesday around 1:30PM. Dale again took the time to show me the old transmission parts that theyd taken apart and compared them to what brand new parts look like; wow, did my transmission need to be rebuilt! Even as someone who doesnt know much about cars, I was shocked at how different my old parts and brand new parts looked (mine had worn down to the metal)---my boyfriend understood much more than I and tried to explain to me what he knew too :) In any case, I paid Dale the initially quoted price (very glad he told me the total up front, I very much appreciate him for sticking to his original quote and not finding additional fees when getting rung up--just another reason this place rules)! Nick was the guy who worked on my car and he did a marvelous job. Dale explained to us that since my cars computer had to relearn how to appropriately shift since it was a brand new transmission, it might drive a little funky initially. I honestly didnt think it was very different, and was 100% satisfied with the incredible job they did. Dale even told me to bring my car back in 10 days after to do a DOUBLE check on all their work and ensure everything was running smoothly. So, 10 days after, I brought my car back in, and for free, Darnell checked my car out and did a test drive as well and told me all their work was good :). My car runs WONDERFULLY now and I cant thank these guys enough!! Dale and Darnell are also great to chat with and are genuinely good, hardworking people.I recommend this place to any and all people who are having potential problems with their transmissions.
