Most honest and fairly priced mechanics in OC! I found these guys through a referral from a friend that I trusted. He had been taking his cars there for years and, now, so have it :)Theyre always super friendly and go above and beyond for me when I need it. For example, I live part time in the Bay Area and they have helped me out a few times by holding my car for extended periods.Theyre also VERY quick to diagnose and repair seemingly complex problems.I highly recommend them to anyone looking to stop getting gouged by the dealerships!

I just love these guys. I have a 99 Toyota Camry which refuses to die. Because of the smog check I had to fix a check engine issue which was unrelated and which I had ignored for a few years. They gave me a very honest price that was terrific and a loaner car for the time it took to repair it. Then they repaired another issue all of this cost easily 50% of what the Toyota dealership would have charged. And I have never been there on a Saturday but Im told they serve Persian food treats!

Usually go here every two years when I get a required smog check. They usually advertise in mailers, and they get the job done for less than $40 (cars). My last visit was very quick, around 20 minutes. I arrived when it opened at 8 am on a Saturday. Friendly service.

Competitive pricing, and never try to oversell me on anything. Give recommendations on what needs to be done, but also let me know what can wait and they keep an eye on those things for me at each oil change. I have been going here for a few years now and have been very happy! Everyone there is very kind and honest. Service is always done quickly and updates are given immediately. Needed a Smog test done on the spot to sell my vehicle. Got it done quickly and inexpensively. Then when I lost the certificate 3 days later, they provided a re-print free of charge with a smile. Very pleased with the customer service.

I went in today with a beat up, 2005 Town & Country Im trying to keep on the road while Im going to school. I was planning on dropping $750 to replace both the front and rear shocks (a competitive price for the area) and when they get the car up to inspect it they find the shocks arent worn but the frame is rusted from driving in Chicago winters where they salt the roads aggressively. Long story short, they talk me out of replacing the shocks and on top of that they refilled my coolant all for FREE!! I dont know many businesses that are that honest and generous, but I can guarantee I will be bringing back my cars to Mansour at Auto Check Center from now on.

We have been taking all of our cars to auto check for several years. These guys do great service and are very fair. They take the time to explain exactly whats wrong what needs to be fixed immediately and what can possibly wait. Never had a bad experience at AutoCheck

Known them for several years as a customer. Both Mohammed and Mansour are very friendly, customer service and satisfaction oriented, reliable and honest. They will tell you like it is. This place also does Smog Check and does offer promotional coupon for discounted price. Technician Luis knows his stuff and is a fast and hard working guy. The place also offers Loaner car based on availability and if not available make arrangement with rental car service and reimburse for the rental cost within certain limits.

Best place to get your smog check done and take care of your car

DO NOT go here for a smog...there is a much better place in the same parking lot where Auto Check Center is located that will do your smog in no time, and will not overcharge you. The name of the place you want to go is Super Smog located at 51 Auto Center Dr suite #3. I mistakenly ended up at Auto Check Center for my smog, I got a bad vibe when I went in but figured I would give them a try, after all it was only a smog check. I was told it would take about 1 hour, so I went to lunch and came back...they still hadnt touched my car, every time I asked how much longer that I could come back another time they said you are next, just a little longer...waited over 2 hours for the smog to be done only to be told that it didnt pass, the technician was not very customer service oriented and instead of apologizing for the wait his exact words were, it didnt pass, you need to pay us $$, I asked if he knew why and he said he didnt know, I also asked if there was a free retest since it was advertised on their site and he said, only if we fix the car... so that Free Re-test advertised on their site is not FREE. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Did smog check here, $38 in 20 mins! Swift and friendly service. Best value in OC.

They have always been very helpful, knowledgeable, and have great workmanship, but what I appreciate the most is their honesty: They never try to upsell us, or make things seems worse than they are. Instead, they always try to find the most affordable solution to fix the problem. This is why we always go to Auto Check Center to take care of both of our cars!

Horrible service. They attendants talked over me while I was explaining a concern to them. They acted very rude and talked down to me like I didnt know what I was talking about.The guy did not have the patience to hear my concerns and as a result, misdiagnosed a problem about my vehicle.I went on my lunch thinking I would get a quick oil change, as they werent very busy at all when I got there. There were two available spots in their garage for work to be done and kept me waiting an hour and fifteen minutes.

Negative Star for this place. This place is terrible. Myself and another person saw the tech tried to yank out every wires, tubes under the hood on my 2005 3 series. Surely, one of the air box wire plastic clip broke off. He tried to charged me $20 to fix. I refused to do so and make him responsible for it. Afterward, I just said will do it else where. He tried to charge me $49. I told him will do a charge back on my Credit Card if I see it.

A check engine light on a 14 year old Subaru (with a fixed blown head gasket ~2 years ago). I needed a knock sensor from another station, and still had a pending cat code, so no smog. Went to AC because its near work and Star/Repair certified. They replaced cats (2) then light went on again and they replaced O2 sensors. Labor is expensive but parts good; they were helpful (checking my ODB periodically to see if my car was ready to get smogged) and gave me a free loaner car for several days which made it much less stressful. Id go back.

Prices and honesty are a plus, but, business has exceeded the space, I think, so wait times are excessive. If you wait.For a simple oil change, Id go to one of the drive throughs.

Bad Customer Service and Bad Workmanship! I had to replace a water pump that this company put on my wifes car, not because it failed, but because it was installed wrong...I described to the manager (at least he said he was) how it was a workmanship issue, showing the evidence on the replaced part, that it hadnt failed but that it was not installed correctly - he kept excusing it as being just out of warranty, even though it was clearly installed sloppily and with little care, or attention to any parts replacement manual. I asked him if he would be willing to compromise, or do anything to keep my business and his reputation, but he did not care at all, and dismissed me with no regard to the concept of integrity and reputation.I originally came here because it was inexpensive, had good reviews, and claimed excellence in customer service and ASE Certified Techs (on their website). I have brought them both my wifes and my vehicle in the past for multiple maintenances and repairsToday they lost a customer due to their unwillingness to stand by their own work - and many other potential customers, as I will not recommend them anymore. I will take the time to explain to anyone in need of repair on their vehicle why I will not go to this place anymore.

DO NOT GO HERE. First off, the gentleman working can hardly communicate. This makes it very difficult to get questions answered. I took my truck in the second time after they had checked it once already. They told me to take it to my mechanic, have him address whatever issues they found and to bring it back in. I did exactly this. This jerk starts telling me all kinds of stuff that makes absolutely no sense and says he will not test my truck. It almost felt racist (hes asian). Wouldnt even listen to what I had to say. This place is the WORST. Spend a little extra money and go somewhere that actually practices customer service.

I love this place! I wasnt sure about them at first. I found them accidently when I needed both my cars smoged with a STAR Certified place. They were very good and gave me a fair price. Ive been bringing my 2006 Murano to them for over four years now and, everytime, they just keep getting better. When I went in for a loud noise caused by a belt last week, they told me that it just needed to be tightened but the belt was like new. They would not charge me a dime because they said that wouldnt be fair. Once again, Mohammad and Monsor gave this lady great customer service! Thank you guys!

This place does smog checks fast and cheaper than any other place Ive been to. I have been taking my cars here for nearly five years now.

They tried to charge me $49 for smog check. After I told them that your price online shows $29, he then changed the price to $29. This is really bad for people who did not know their real price!!
