By far one of the most unprofessional businesses in Indianapolis. I came to see if I had left my drivers license here in The building or, one of the trucks that I rent it. When I entered the building it looked as if no one was at work. It’s 2:30, on Wednesday and the open sign is turned off. another lovely woman and I stood in line for 10 minutes prior to anyone even acknowledging that I was in the building. A man came into the building that was outside smoking a cigarette I wasn’t even aware that he worked here did asked me if I needed help he was polite once he came in and acknowledged that I was there. However, a manager emerged from the back . apparently she was here all the whole time Watching video footage from the back. I only say that because there are several video feeds along with TVs so I’m sure she was there just ignoring the fact the two black women were there. Even if she wasn’t monitoring the video footage. As a manager she should have periodically checked to see if there was anything she could do assist her workers with. I digress, instead of acknowledging the customers that were in her building she asked the worker there if there was anything she could do. She is the most unprofessional individual I have ever encountered. And she needs to be fired. Yes she was an African-American woman being lazy in the back I am an African-American woman. She needs to be fired if she does not want to work. I knew she was the manager because she couldn’t even manage to do right.

I’m giving them 3 stars purely because of the professionalism and kindness given by the staff member I spoke with over the phone. Money (pronounced Mo-nay) was very understanding and helpful during my first phone call with changing my pick-up time. I ended up getting pulled over by the cops on my way to return the U-Haul and they told me it was due to the vehicle coming up as stolen out of AZ. They checked the truck (we had just finished unloading it) and because I had my paperwork showing I had paid, they said to contact this location first thing in the morning and let them know what happened. I did that and Money was extremely apologetic and helpful as I asked some other questions regarding my reservation. Additionally, the U-Haul was clean but had an overriding smell of urine in the cab of the truck. Despite all of these issues, Money made renting the truck/returning it bearable.
I had a great experience. Derek Monae and Wayne were so refreshing and professional. The process was fast and efficient. The truck was ready and it was no hassle. Check out the photos and the videos posted. They have all ur needs for moving. From boxes to bed protectors, tape and everything in between that will make ur move easier and protect your valuable during the move. No matter if its local or long distance. I give them 5 starts for the great energy they give to the customers. I will definitely recommend and I will return for any moving needs.💪🏾💪🏾❤

If you are using a storage cube DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION....I will repeat DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION.Our unit has been there since July 2020, we have needed to access it a few times since then. It’s is now March 2021, they have never been ready for us. We have the same issue every time “they did not receive the info from the corporate number to have them ready so they aren’t ready and we need to call a day ahead” (which we do). They act like it is a big inconvenience and hassle, there is one young lady that has the absolutely worst customer service skills and today the way she answered the phone was unacceptable in every way. We need these units cleaned out today, I was told they would “try to get them ready but it may be tomorrow”. My husband is here 1 week a month, he can not load the furniture by himself, that is why it has to be today. When I told her this, it was clear by her attitude and tone of voice that it would be an inconvenience. The facility these are stored in is not secured to the standard that I’m used to and I will not as a woman access them by myself.Never have I had issues using Uhaul, I’ve moved several times and used them the majority of the moves. The last couple have been with the cubes...I will not use the cubes again. I’m done

Do not use their storage units. My mother has a storage there that she is never able to get into. The door pad to swiped your card is messed up and doesnt allow you access. This has been an issue since Oct when we got the storage. They say the manager is going to get it fixed but it never done. The staff has an actual key to unlock the door but for some reason barely have the key in the store. Getting a hold of the store manager is almost impossible. Its just ridiculous.
Was more than I expected. Byron and his co workers.. above and beyond helpful, funny and very easy to deal with. Turned a ruff trip for my daughter and I being in the Uhaul 3 days more than we were suppose to, Can not thank him and his guys enough. Byron by far made the difference!! Thank U
Best customer care. No deposit when you pay online and you get longer rental hours thanks for having me prebook truck was ready when I pulled up and my truck was safe overnight on lot .. good people work here.
It is kind of awful that, every time time I need to refill my propane tank, I have to check first if the person at front desk is a woman to esk for a refill service, and get what I need because if is one of the two black guys there, the propane machine is broken, and they dont know when is going to be fix, i have gone a few times when the guys are there, and sadly find out that it is just that the two guys doesnt like to help, because once you ask the ladies, big surprise, the machine has been fixed. Poor service by those guys!!
Made a reservation to move across the country, one way. There was some confusion with my request. When trying to sort things out, the guy opted to rush me. He kept saying that he couldnt help me. That hes the only one in the store. He was on the phone, Facetiming his girlfriend and wanted to get back to her instead of the customers. My request was sent to 2 different stores and no one knew what was going on because he didnt transfer anything like he said he did.
Adrian was so helpful and very professional. He was polite and nice!!! He is a very good asset to U-Haul!!! Excellent Customer Service!!!
Money and Byron were able to help me out, with really quick turnaround. I had a wiring harness installed and rented a 4x8 trailer from this location, the day before Christmas. Service was great. A little goes a long way, especially good service with a smile. They helped us out tremendously.
Save yourself some time and frustration and go somewhere else. Maybe just buy a trailer if thats what you need! Ive gone to this location many times and the service gets worse every time. This time the guy changed our reservation without telling us to an in town rental (we had made it online exactly how we wanted it and did NOT want it changed as we were moving three hours away) and then told us we would have to call the number to fix it and handed us a pen with the U-Haul general phone number. Long story short, after three phone calls (none less than 45 minutes) and getting yelled at by the GM because he was busy and didnt want to deal with this on his day off, the rep at the drop off location said she would handle it. We will see if it actually gets handled or if I have to call the very unprofessional GM at this location again. If you have no choice but to go to this location, double check everything and dont leave until you know its right. Sit in the parking lot to confirm it before pulling away!

Had a good experience here back in 2012, but this past Saturday I was charged an additional $25 when I returned the truck. No explanation was given about the charge when I asked. I was simply told that it couldnt be reversed and Id have to call back on Monday. Did that and spoke with 2 different people. One of them asked me if I folded the blankets!! Hahahahaha! I dont know if they charge $25 to fold blankets, but if they do, good for them.
0- stars is more like it but that is not an option. The general manager and his staff need to be fired or go through extensive customer service training. This moving experience was the worst of my life. The fuel gage was amount was falsified. Very disrespectful staff including the general manager who was first point of contact. This will be the LAST time I use uhal. The behavior exhibited at this location should not be tolerated by any customer. Try out another location or a different company all together if you want courteous, competent staff with good communication skills. The end.
I have went to this location twice for propane refills, which seem to be hard to find on the West Side of Indianapolis. The first time there was one other customer inside and it took the three employees there 20 minutes to help me get a refill. It was cloudy the second time I went in and the guy SITTING behind the desk informed be he couldnt fill my tank.When its thundering like this, we cant fill tanks. It was just cloudy outside, no lightning (or thunder) all day. After I pointed this out, he said they were out of propane.

Not much to complain about this place. I reserved one truck for Monday 8AM on Saturday night. Went there on Monday morning and truck was there and ready to go.If you want a quick check out, put all your driving information online. I did that and was out of the office in less than 10 mins.
If I could give 0 stars I would. First the falsified the fuel gage to say it was more than what was actually in the tank. Then they gave me a truck that barely drove, the 30$ truck rental turned into 130$ because they charged me 60$ for not putting 2 gallons of fuel back in the truck and 40$ for mileage, and then the 30$ for the rental.🤦♂️, highway robbery doesn’t even cover it. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves!
I picked up a uhaul truck on 7/21 and told the lady at the desk I would be returning it to a different location, she never said there would be an additional charge to return it somewhere else so I paid the $70 as quoted and returned the uhaul to west Washington st later that evening. Monday morning I get a notification that I was charged $258 for returning it to a different location because of it being a one way stop! So after finally speaking with the manager I was told I could pick the uhaul up at the Washington street location and return it back to the Michigan road location in order to disregard that $258 fee! So Monday evening I pick up the uhaul and return it back to the Michigan road location as I was told to. Then, today I get another notification that I am being charged another $85 from U-Haul! Which would have be the original amount I should have been charged had the lady of said Saturday it would be more to return it somewhere else. I have a total of $410 of pending transaction on my bank account over something that should be only $85 but the employee did not disclose the proper information at the rental time!
Worse Uhaul experience I have ever had. I do not recommend using this store. The GM of the store was the associate who dealt with us. He double charged us on miles, would not take this off the bill and over charged us all the way around. I will NEVER use Uhaul again. To anyone who would choose this location double check everything on truck before leaving the store.

I had requested a U-Box to be picked up on Sunday, June 17 at my nearest U-Haul location and left with some of the most disrespectful customer service I’ve ever received–and no U-Box.After being told my U-Box was at another location across town, talked to like an idiot, and having my phone tossed on the counter by an employee, I tried to call the manager to explain what had happened and hopefully come to a resolution. It’s been three days since this incident and I have yet to hear back from the store’s manager.If I can’t trust U-Haul to communicate a slight change of plans, treat my property with respect, or even get in touch about a pretty big customer service issue, why would I trust them with all of my belongings? Hard pass.

Rented a auto transport on 7/12/2017 and have been charged $67.71 when I returned it the next day and since Ive been charged an additional $24.34 and again $73.01 I wouldnt give them a star if it would let me. I wont go back there ever again.
I am struggling to get my appointment reset. First attempt at hitch installation was not successful. It seems almost impossible to get a hold of someone at the actual store. Friendly staff on first attempt to install the hitch, but did not receive follow-up.
We checkin in online ahead of time and the process was smooth and easy!

I have been to over half a dozen Uhaul locations in Indy and Lafayette and this one is BY FAR THE BEST.All the team members were very knowledgeable and courteous. I could not see a single piece of trash on the property and all the trucks and equipement were lined up and organized.The plug on my truck for the trailer had corroded and was not functioning when I arrived. NO PROBLEM, they wheeled out a cart that was remarkably clean for a maintainence cart. It was fully stocked with all the connectors and wires needed to wire about anything.They followed their procedure and fully explained everything about the process (though I was already familar) and made sure I did not have any questions.I honestly didnt think there were store with employees this professional anymore.
Very slow, put me behind schedule. Had to wait for over 30 minutes before someone came inside the building to assist me. Had to call the 800 number to let them know that no one was in the store then had to wait even longer as the guy put the trailer on. Ill never use it refer this location.
