Was on the road in a new Chevy. Began to leak oil. They were able to get me on the road again in less than two hours. Only complaint: aside from the person who finally helped us, the other persons we tried to get help from were in no hurry to help and seemed aggravated that we were there.
The service here is unmatched. Prompt, Caring, and Honest. My cousin Randal used to work here in the service department and Ive made 2 purchases. I had a great experience at Penske. I have not purchase a car from the dealer in years just because of the general hassle it has always been in the past. The last time I was at a dealer and the salesman didn’t know the difference between AWD and 4WD that did it for me I was done. But Penske happened to have the car I was looking for priced where it should be. So I thought I’d give it a chance and if I was annoyed I would just walk no biggie. Well, color me blue I was extremely and pleasantly surprised to have a nice professional staff who didn’t try to jerk my chain and did not waste my time. They understood the value of the car they were selling and the car I was trading in so we met in the middle very quickly and I drove away with my car. It was that easy.
I love bringing my car to this facility for oil changes and tire rotations. I usually give 5 stars because of the experienced technicians that I usually get however this time was different. The technician forgot to reset the oil change oil life indicator. That was minor however when asked about the tires being rotated he appeared to be confused. He said he did rotate the tires but it’s not indicated on my paperwork so I asked how much tread life do I have remaining. He then proceeded to check the tires tread while I sat patiently in my car. He said all 4 were the same and good. A 6 for all 4. So I said how is this possible when 2 tires are new only 3 months old and the other 2 are 3 years old so he then proceeded to recheck all 4 and then said 2 are a 6 and 2 are a 7 so at this point I really don’t know. He looked and acted confused. So now I am confused. Did I even get the proper services that I paid for? I can only hope at this point. Btw I did inform the service advisor who did send the tech out to do what?? Not too happy this time!!

Looking for a new challenge and questionable integrity? Shop Penske. I always appreciate objective feedback when Im trying to make decisions, so time to give back. My history with Penske goes back a while. I purchased a new truck in 2003. I attempted to purchase a replacement for that one in 2017 - but prices werent competitive, so purchased elsewhere. So Im familar with them. Heres my latest take:Getting ready for a weekend trip with the family out of state...thought Id try to get the dreaded Takata airbag issue addressed that was on recall. Truck was otherwise operating normally - no issues. Called ahead to make sure they had the part in stock before showing up to my appointment. They ironically did not know so transferred me to Parts. Parts confirmed it was in stock so I asked if I could come in earlier. They had to transfer me back to service. So this really is Parts OR Service, not Parts AND Service. But thats just an annoyance - the best was yet to come.When I picked up the vehicle, they gave me the keys and pointed to the truck. I got in and the truck was dead. Dealership was closing and it was raining, so I accepted a quick jump to get out of the way. I live about 8 mins from the dealership and since it was cool and raining, I did not notice that the AC was not working. The next morning while trying to leave, the truck was dead again. The local parts store said they could charge the battery but it would be at least an hour. Needing to get on the road asap, I purchased a new battery. Finally on the road, thats when we realized the AC wasnt working since it was over 90 degrees at that point. I worked landscape growing up with no AC in trucks, but my family did not. Ever driven an uphappy family for a few hours in a hot car? Not fun...and not necessary either.When I returned, I called the dealership and they said no one was available to talk to me about it because everyone was in a meeting. I asked if I was physically there, would they make me wait to get an answer? Yes, came the response. Interesting customer service model. I was eventually told that the technician left the passenger door open the length of the service work and that it may have run down the battery.Long story short, they would not reimburse the cost of the new battery and my normal mechanic, who had recently recharged my AC, did a pressure/dye test on the system and found no leaks. He was stumped. He recharged the system and it has been working fine now for two months. He suggested I try another Chevy dealershp in the future that makes sure the car is working when you pick it up. Genius suggestion.As far as Penskes responses to the other negative reviews, they arent genuine. Youll see that they all have the same verbiage and I wont be the least bit surprised to see it copy/pasted on my own review. I already requested a manager call me back after discussing the issues with the front-line staff and to-date, never heard back. I guess this also means I will not be getting 10% back or $10 off my next service call since I cant provide a passing grade (see a copy of the offer I received that was attached to my invoice). So THIS is how you generate good reviews - buy them! Brilliant idea, but I would prefer just doing it the old-fashioned way. Eearrrrn it. So long Penske. Thanks for the memories.
Easy in and out. Nice waiting room while my oil was changed. Fast WiFi, power outlets, and tables for working remotely. Clean bathrooms too. Friendly fast efficient service

The techs are superior, and they know it. There have been some collateral issues with attention to details. The last one fixed a problem with a cylinder failing, but something was loose in the engine compartment, so I have to go back and have them pick up the tool or tighten the last nut. Be careful accepting your vehicle.
Great experience from start to finish. Sales guy was very responsive and attentive, F&I was personable and straight forward, service was friendly and quick. Stock in the vehicle we wanted is low throughout the area and we had to put money down to guarantee the vehicle we wanted that was “in transit” was ours when it arrived. They kept us up to date on timing and got us right in when it was delivered.

Simple oil change. Got an appointment same day as my call. Took about an hour. Price very reasonable. I am completely satisfied.
We were driving to Indy to help my fiancé daughter in move to a new dorm and on our way down from south bend our car started overheating. We had to stop and I filled it with coolant and made it to the hotel. On Saturday we took the Car to have it serviced and we drove in and Jerry greeted us asked if we had an appointment. Of course we did not and he advised us that it would probably be Monday or Tuesday before he had a chance to look at it. Monday late morning we get the estimate for repairs and we approved them. We explained that we would not be picking up till Saturday. On Tuesday afternoon we were told that the vehicle was finished. I am very happy with the service we received from Penske Chevrolet or more from Jerry Bronson. Thank you for all your help and the wonderful service that we received.
There were a few specific details that I gave my service advisor, Jerry, when I dropped off my truck to get an oil change/tire rotation as well as checking on the weight bearing on my wheel that may have fallen off last time it was in the shop that had previously caused my truck to vibrate when going 60mph+. He was adamant about making sure that this was taken care of as it would have caused future issues with the truck if not addressed. When I picked up my Silverado, it felt brand new.They were very quick with the service appointment and I would highly recommend asking for Jerry if you ever get your Chevrolet serviced. I wanted to pay for the service for an early Father’s Day gift, from our Dog! Jerry went above and beyond to make sure it happened. The service department ignores customers. I have stood by my car without anyone acknowledging my presence. They just stare eat their computers. Very unfriendly. Also when I bought my new Corvette C8 they did not provide an owners manual. Was very upset over this issue and Roberto wanted to charge me $100.00 for the manual which they did not provide. We argued about this. When I brought my Corvette in for help with some settings Roberto would not help me over the manual issue. We had words. Will never buy another care at Penske. This was my second Corvette purchased at Penske and it seemed odd to me that they were willing to lose a customer who buys expensive cars all over $100.00.

I have used Penske service for many years. Scott and his team do a great job of getting the job correct the first time. The communication is great from the service writers.
I was having trouble finding a truck and Penske had 2 for me to choose from. Called and spoke with Justin on a Friday as we were heading to Michigan for Labor Day. We asked if we could stop on the way home Monday. Justin had both trucks ready to test drive. After driving both, I liked the LTZ. Deal was done within the hour.

After I bought the Chevy Trax I noticed a chipped windshield. I contacted the used car manager Jeff and he took care of windshield right away by getting it fixed. Also the salesman Ben took me through the paperwork and explained everything. about the purchase of the Trax. The finance guy Aaran also explained the finances if I was going to finance the vehicle. Very satisfied with all the people at Penske made my car buying experience pleasant. I will definitely go back when I decide to by another vehicle which might not be to far away because my Honda Odyssey has 155,00 miles.

Everyone was courteous and kind. Service advisor Keith Jones kept me posted every step of the way and his Tech Brian Robbins was very detailed in explaining everything he did on my transmission. The service department has a nice waiting area with coffee and snacks options. I really appreciate the courtesy van pick and drop service. Diane has been great and helpful. Upon my arrival, I didnt remember who my service agent should be and the first person I walked up to hurried hurried and picked up the phone so he didnt have to talk with me. Then I went to the next person and he looked information up and told me who I should talked to. The agent kept me informed by phone on what services are needed and had the car ready when I needed it. Good service! Techs occasionally check in and let you know whats going on. Lobby for customers is clean and comfortable. All employees were personable and speak at your level of understanding. Snacks, soda, lemonade, and coffee available in vending machines. Bathrooms are clean and quiet. TV, magazines, current newspapers, and even a charging station (apple and micro SD) in the lobby as well. Lots of windows so you can usually see where your vehicle is at all times.
Jerry was very helpful and easy to work with on this warrenty repair. It took a while but was not the dealership fault at all. Very pleased.
Ive had nothing but great experiences with Penske Chevy. I feel well taken care of and respectfully treated in all my interactions, and am particularly happy with the service department. Even after the warranties expire, I continue to use Penske Chevy service. (Other brand vehicles I usually take to a separate mechanic.)

We were in town from PA for a bowling tournament when our tire was making noise. They fit us in, discovered that the previous shop had only put 3 of the 5 lugnuts on the tire after they rotated our tires. They saved the day. Keith was awesome to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone. I would go there again if we didnt live in another state. Anyone local should check them out.

My Equinox had an issue where the sun roof stuck partway open. I called the Penske service department and made an appointment to have it checked out. When I arrived a little before the scheduled time, Keith Jones took care of me right away, and assured me that if it had to be kept overnight, they would be sure to keep it inside (as rain was predicted). I also asked for an oil change, as it was getting close to the point where that was needed. Shortly before the end of the day, Keith called and told me it was ready for pickup, that they had run all the diagnostics, but no cause had been identified, and resetting that function put it back in the pink. The requested service was performed, problem cleared up, and my vehicle was returned before day’s end. The only charge was fir the oil change. I could not have asked for anything more. Penske Chevrolet has never given us a problem, to the best of my recollection.

My service request with Penske Chevrolet started with a timing belt. Of course, during the initial inspection, Penske technicians discovered my need for some brake work as well.Communication was great and they have some cool software to let you see what work is needed and to accept or decline.In my case, the price was right in my range and it took one day to get my car back and smoothly on the road! 👍🎉
The service advisor tried telling me my 2015 Equinox needed a new engine after I just brought it in for a very minor oil leak. The vehicle ran completely fine and had NO lights/codes showing, yet the service advisor put on my paperwork that I said it ran poorly and had the check engine light on. I had terrible communication throughout the 10 DAYS you had it. There was no actual evidence provided for why it needed a new engine, and no documentation was provided to the warranty company like they requested. After you had it for 10 days, I demanded I pick it up to take to another dealership. To top off the experience with Penske, my vehicle had extensive hail damage upon picking it up and now I also have to deal with an insurance claim. The other dealership found nothing wrong with the engine except the minor oil leak, and the tech working on it there was the service manager with years of experience. The other dealership had my vehicle repaired and back to me within 3 days.

The tech was unable to re-create a software fail from last week- The wife was able to drive her Equinox after remote starting it without a FOB in the car. She left both at home and drove across town. (SCARY, theft issue) They did replace connectors on the full roof shade, an issue I could not find anywhere online, good thing you had the connectors in stock. Another cheap design using plastic in lieu of a more durable material .
Mike B. and parts did a magnificent job making sure the correct GM Lift Kit was ordered for my truck (fairly complex due to 3.0 and multiple variations of springs, etc). Jerry B. made scheduling, drop off, and pick up a breeze. Everyone was friendly, work was performed on the schedule promised. I couldnt be happier and will be back.

I’ve had an ongoing issue with my car and my service advisor Toby was able to work with me on costs to hopefully finally get the issue resolved. I also had another key made for my car while I was there as I only received one when I purchased the vehicle, the gentleman in parts were extremely helpful as well. It was a very pleasant and quick experience. I used to take my car to a competitor for oil changes but I’ll be moving all my maintenance to Penske after this!

Buyer Beware.If you are buying a used car, Penske Chevrolet cant be trusted.My experience is they do not care about the customer. They only care about the sale.I bought a 2014 Chevy Traverse on June 30th.We paid cash as part of a trade in.The Traverse had 140K miles, but seemed to be in good working order, until we got it home.On the first night it leaked power steering fluid all over my driveway and street- as pictured.I contacted our salesman and asked if they could give the car a complimentary look over- even though it was out of warranty.The salesman told me There were no signs of leaks... it was sold as isIn other words, not only would they not fix the problem, they wouldnt even give it a complimentary look over.So I was forced to take the car I owned for only a few days to a repair place myself.There it was diagnosed with a leaking power steering pressure hose and faulty power steering pump.That left me with a $1,600 repair bill for a car I owned for less than a week.All of these are documented facts.In my opinion there is no way Penskes service department didnt know about this leak before the sale.They were either blind or willfully ignorant of the issue they were passing onto the customer.While they may have been within their rights to refuse to fix the problem, the fact that they wouldnt even check it out for free illustrates how little they valued me as a customer.Shame on them,The Penske name deserves better in Indianapolis.I repeat my earlier advice. Buyer Beware.
