Catalytic converter stolen off my car, read reviews of this shop so I drove down there. Owner heard my horrible exhaust noise, and knew exactly the problem.. Indicated he could get it repaired that day, offered me the option of sourcing my own oxygen sensors. Finished within the time promised, very reasonable cost, good communication. I needed help with my keeping my bumper in place. I purchased zip ties from Auto Zone. The Auto Zone employee suggested to take my car across the street to A&B Muffler if I needed help getting them on. So, I pulled in and spoke to Peter. He looked so busy, but had such a good attitude (which is hard to maintain in 90 degree heat). He said it would be no problem to help me. He wrapped up what he was working an proceeded to look at my bumper. He decided that a screw would be more secure. I didnt even realize that it was 6;30 and they had already been closed for an hour! He took care of me and he never mentioned they were closed....what a lifesaver! And he didnt even charge me for the screw! Hands down the most generous and kind person. Its nice to know we have such an honest and caring business in our community! He has definitely earned my future business! :)

Outstanding service! Where someplace was going to charge me a bunch for things my car (of course just because I’m a woman and they think I don’t know) didn’t need and also charge me to find out why the service engine soon light was on he did it all at no cost and explained me the why and why not of the problem! Instead of having to pay for like $1,000-$2,000 he told me I could use something that only cost less than $20 to help to problem at least a little bit. But as soon as I have my savings I will go back and pay him whatever I have to because it was just incredible! Felt like family and I’m extremely satisfied. Came here 8 am Monday morning to get a car muffler with holes repaired that I noticed just a day before on Sunday. After visiting two places I found them on google and yes good reviews are right. Stephen fixed (welded new parts) in an hour and I was off to work. Great work, polite, honest and best pricing. Savior for me as there are not many such places around nowadays.

Great muffler shop and Stephen was friendly, fair, and an honest business man. He charged much less than other shops for a catalytic converter, and didnt find any extra things to charge for. He also got the work done a day earlier than what was quoted, which happened to be the day we took my vehicle in.

Very bade service I want for muffler delide for my car he gave me a price, and told me he is beasy and to call him, any other day, I keep calling him for two weeks,but he is playing games, he is still telling me he is beasy, it looks like he das not want to do my car, I dont know why but you dont do that to a customer, you dont want to do the job tell the customer you are beazy, and you not going to have time for your car and do not tell him to call you every day and play games.

I stopped in today after leaving Autozone with my check engine light codes and spoke to Peter. He checked out my car and fixed what was something minor and sent me on my way in under an hour. He was very professional, fast, and courteous. As a female, I’m always worried I’m going to be overcharged or misled with what’s wrong with the car because I really wouldn’t know any better. I appreciate Peter telling me what was wrong, fixing it, and not trying to charge me for things I didn’t need. Next time I have a car issue I will definitely go back to A&B!

I went there because I had check engine light on, he change the wrong part, he charge me 289$, and when I left the check engine is on again, when I take the car back he said oooh, you have a transmission problem, you have to go to another place, and he didnt refund nothing, and he had an attitude.

I did not use them for my catalytic converter for my Jeep because Stephen was rude, no mask (laughed at me and told me I was stupid), and condescending. He was offensive. AND didn’t offer a quote. I went to Kinney’s in Watauga instead. They were polite and respectful. I will be giving Kinney’s a 5 star just for being decent human beings.

I went up there about 10:45-11:00 needing some repair done to my muffler. I was quickly greeted and told to pull my car around to the side of the shop; and within 5 minutes it was up on the lift with all my options for repair laid out. After we agreed what was best to do, the work was immediately done and I paid and was out the door in probably 45 minutes at the max. I was completely floored by this and not expecting it. I will definitely return here and have already recommended A&B to two people since I got back to work. Thank you so much.

SUMMARY: I believe the mechanics at this business to be reliable professionals I can trust to do quality work. THAT is priceless and the reason I will bring my car here for work. FULL REVIEW: As a woman with a healthy knowledge of cars (specifically, the one I own at any particular time), Im generally loathe to enter garages or dealerships I dont already have an working relationship with. Im sure these types of businesses get plenty of grief from angry customers with broken cars, but no one like being talked down to. Given the admittedly good enough to get me there and back, mostly car I own, I wasnt surprised when A&B Muffler and Brake told me my motor had barely escaped a sad death. They filled me in on what might help to extend the life of my cars badly-designed motor, made me feel good about the $1100 I *didnt* have to spend that day, and showed me some stats online about customer complaints related to my model vehicle. (Surprise! The motor sucks.) I like a business that is happy to take the time to answer all my questions AND resourceful enough to have helpful answers. I feel I was charged a fair and reasonable amount for the work done.

We always check with Stephen first. They are reasonably priced and very honest. You can call and get information and assistance at any time at their location which is helpful when you need to figure out what to do next. Stephen will allow you to buy the parts and bring them to him to install for you and he and his team are quick and efficient. We have been using his shop for at least 8 years for all of our vehicle repairs and they are always ready to fix our issues. I came in to get my brake pads replaced and was attracted to this shop by the previous reviews. The place looks really ramshackle and there were ten random cars parked out front but dont be scared off by that. The guys were nice and even though it took a little longer than I had hoped, Im still highly satisfied. The chain stores and dealerships may have a nice waiting room and k-cup machine but my experience has been that youll wait even longer and pay twice as much at those types of places.

A&B Muffler and Brake are simply Outstanding. This fine Gentleman and Owner was very honest, capable and shows great pride in his craft. The mechanics that work with him have exactly the same qualities. I am very impressed with everything they serviced for me and will be back again. Finally, an honest shop that gets it done right at the most reasonable prices, period. AAAAA+++++.

Ive taken 3 of my cars here to get some service done, mostly mufflers and one set of brakes. Tremendous work done by these guys. Recently went in with mufflers to weld on and they were done quickly and correctly. Had no problems and would recommend them to anyone again.

Always make sure you get auto work done RIGHT. Not cheap. This place does it correctly and for a great price. I found a cheap place in Arlington that ruined my aftermarket exhausts and put on very poorly. A&B did it right the first time and I can see the work they did on it to ensure I wouldnt need to come back. I would have saved a lot more money (probably lost $100) if I had researched reviews better and paid the extra $20-$40 the first time. Thank you A&B for the great work and exceptional service

I called this shop at 8 am and asked if they would be able to replace the catalytic converter on my jeep in the same day. The man on the phone said it should be possible but he would have to take a look to be sure so I told him I would be there at 11am. I arrived exactly at 11 and he had my out of there in 32 minutes and thanked me for my punctuality and I thanked him for how fast he got it down because I had my daughter with me. Cost me 229.00 which is a great price.for this type.of.work and unbeatable speed.

I was in and out in an hour. Stephen replaced both of my mufflers. He recommended the Cherry Bomb muffler to me, which isnt as well known as Flowmaster or MagnaFlow but he thought it would sound best with my 71 Chevy C10 350. I was very satisfied with his recommendation and the great work he did. As other reviewers have stated, the prices are very competitive and for the quality of work you get its pretty much a steal of a deal.

Steve (owner) is great and I am a big fan of this shop. I needed a special order Magnaflow 12909 muffler for my 2018 GMC Sierra with the 6.2L engine and Steve got it in same day.I called him in the morning and it was delivered just after lunch. I drive right over there, Steve gets it in the bay immediately, up on the lift, and he has it installed himself in less than 30 minutes.Pricing is very fair as well and Steve is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back for future vehicle needs.

I agree with all the good things spoken in the good reviews. Ive used Stephens shop for many years now. They have always been knowledgeable, fair and helpful with all my car issues (brakes and mufflers). But many dont realize they also do all kinds of car repair (except transmissions). I just had my 2000 Ford Windstars fuel pump assembly and fuel filter replaced today. Pep Boys wanted $600.+ (not including the fuel filter). A & Bs total was $400 (and it included the fuel filter---part and labor). You just cant beat their service or the price. And you dont see any advertising going on. They strictly believe in word of mouth. If you are not sure, just get some estimates and then call A & B last. Youll see what Im talking about.

A & B goes above and beyond! I take all my vehicles to them. I recently left my car with them because the check engine light would not stay off and I could not get it inspected. They fixed what they thought was wrong but the light came back on . They said to leave the car and they would make sure it was fixed without any further charges. They kept the car for 4 days and were finally able to get the light to stay off (after driving it for 60 miles) and even got it inspected for me. The only additional charge was $26.00 for the inspection! Great service and excellent work.

After over an hour of working on replacing my very difficult headlight, Pete only requested that I keep them in mind for future car needs as payment. Went in there because my muffler was rattling around Everytime my car was in park or idling. British man (didnt catch his name) gets it up on the lift and tells me the muffler is jammed up under something. He unjams it and sends me on my way, asked me for a nickel LOL. All in all a quick, easy, and funny experience, will definitely come back here if I have any more troubles.

Ford Mustang with an exhaust leak. I thought I would be leaving my car for the weekend. They fixed it right then and there in 30 minutes! The price was beyond reasonable. I took a Lexus sc400 into Stevens shop when I had problems with brakes and power steering. I told him this was my late fathers car and it had been sitting and I was not sure if power steering fluid had coagulated or if there was a power steering pump problem. I asked him for a high price estimate to fix power steering pump replacement and to change pads and rotors and he told me about $300-350. We both understood that he would need to check the car out further to get exact costs and he assured me he would contact me before working on the car. I told him this was my late fathers car and I was selling it and did not want to invest a large amount of money in a car that I was not planning on keeping. I had already gotten an estimate from a service station across the street from his garage for $150 (rotors and pads for all four wheels) I told him brake pedal went all the way to floor and I assumed there may be more to fix problem than just rotors and pads. Without ever receiving a call from Steven outlining the problems he had found he decided to put brake pads, rotor and calipers on the back wheels only and put on a serpentine belt. I did not need a power steering pump at all. According to him the serpentine belt was the cause of power steering problem. So, without any notification of price or any phone call to let me know what the actual problems were, he decides to put on the belt and replace back brake pads, rotor and caliper. He then charges me $440 and threatens to keep car if I do not pay him. But the lack of phone call is not even the worst part of this. Even though he took it upon himself to do the work I mentioned above he did not fix the main problem with the brakes at all. The brake pedal still goes all the way to the floor board making it impossible to stop car safely. This is because the car needed brake booster replaced. The estimates I have received on fixing this problem is another $450. So, because Steven decided to half way fix the brakes and do additional work I am stuck paying about $1000 dollars that I am not keeping and has too many miles to make the money back on these repairs. He knew all this and knew exactly what he was doing. He knew I would tell him that I would not want to repair car at all before selling. When I confronted him about the lack of phone call and actual pricing he became belligerent (yelling and pacing the floor in uncontrolled unprofessional manner) After paying Steven to get my car away from him, he points out that if I do not like what he did then I should take him to small claims court. Even though, we all know what a hassle that is going to be he has left me no recourse. I would not trust the positive reviews that can be so easily manipulated because I would be amazed if this the first time he has treated his customers this way.
