Incredible! As much as I enjoyed the Seattle mermaid it cant hold a candle to summer moon coffee. The wait staff is the nicest people, always friendly and helpful. You gotta try the toasted smores, hot or iced its fantastic.

The atmosphere is spot on. Its got that vibrant coffee shop noise thats healthy for the soup. Not too loud, but lively and soothing at the same time. The decor is modernly cozy and spacious enough for everyone. I had a recommended 1/4 oat something with 2 shots of espresso and boy did it wake me up! What an excellent coffeshop and great find. I will definitely return and recommend this spot. Htown certified!

I usually don’t like sweet flavored coffee drinks but Summer Moon is different. Highly recommend the half moon and my wife likes the iced, half, winter moon.

Not the best, think the fact that the syrups aren’t house made was a deal breaker for me. I always support small shops and this one wasn’t the best. Might settle if I’m ever around but definitely not on the top of my list!

Nice local place for coffee. My family loved the frozen hot chocolate, iced coffee, and regular old black coffee. I had the iced tea. Two thumbs up!

This is now my favorite coffee place. Nothing much to say aside from them having the best coffee that Ive ever had. Make sure you choose the proper amount of moon milk though. As delicious at it is, its quite sweet. I chose 1/2 and in glad I did. A full strength would have been too sweet.

Fine stop. Just came in for a cup of coffee, but its always good! Staff is friendly and masked, which I appreciate. Space is nice. I think this used to be a Starbucks, but I much prefer this vibe. Worth a try for sure!

Good coffee good ambiance.

I was definitely intrigued by the concept of wood fire roasted coffee so I had to try it. The moon milk was very sweet and half moon was the perfect sweetness level for me. My husband got drip coffee since hes a coffee connoisseur. He did not like it at all and said it tasted like a campfire in his mouth. He said all of the coffee flavors were burnt. Still a fun concept and the staff was very friendly.

Amazing coffee and amazing customer service! Went for the first time earlier today and am still wowed with how good it was! Got an iced mocha moon and I cant wait to return to try out the rest of the menu! The really tall guy barista was super friendly and welcoming and really helped me understand the sweetness methods used here and gave me some great recommendations. If it was any closer to my house, I think I would go broke from coming here so often!

Before I was a diehard starbucks fan, but this place is now my new favorite coffee shop! My favorite so far is the Wintermoon. The food is tasty and well portioned as well. Extremely friendly staff with amazing service and atmosphere!

Pricey, but some of the best coffee beans around town. I always buy two packs for home made espressos, and they come out fantastic. The couple times I go in there to work or have an espresso made for me its been grand as well. Top notch place.

First time visiting Summer Moon and we loved it! If you are in the area definitely make it a point to stop by. We had a half moon latte, a cortado, and a nitro cold brew with moon milk. Everything was amazing!!!The half moon was a touch sweet for my liking but still tasty and enjoyable.To eat we got jalapeño sausage kolaches and a cinnamon roll, both were delicious! Cannot wait to visit again!

This review is long overdue. I had seen summer moon coffee in san antonio when I used to live there. So I was really excited to hear they were expanding to Katy.Their thing here is wood-fired coffee roasting and the moon milk which is their house-made creamer. Although you can get other dairy options if actual milk is not your thing.11 am - Sunday, Kingsland blvd location1. The entrance: end cap of a neighborhood shopping center. Plenty of parking.2. The first vibe: Open with 2-table seating (bc of covid), outlets along the wall, there were a few people studying and just hanging out3. Time 2 table: There were about 4 people in front of us but moved quickly. Id say about 3 minutes to get our coffee, and pastries4. The menu: located on the wall behind the register. can seem a little daunting, but the staff is really friendly and ready to answer any questions5. The server: girl at register was nice!6. The drinks: yumm. Mine is the cold wintermoon latte which is pretty sweet. Sweet enough to not drown out the hearty coffee taste . You can really taste the coffee here.7. The food: Im not sure if they get their pastries delivered but theyre delicious - they will warm them up for you. Pre-covid we would get themon plates but now they come in baggies that are labeled.8. The dessert: see #7, they also have boxed sandwiches, salads, and other cold deli options at the register9. The management: did not notice but there was a quite a bit of staff working the bar/line. Everyone was attentive and hardworking!10. The cleanliness: Clean! all staff wore masks and tables were clean. By far, the best espresso beans and coffee in Katy and probably the only coffee shop where owner has actually invested into a proper barista training. All girls are just great baristas.

Everything Ive had here has been spectacular. Even their drip coffee is delicious. You know when you go to Starbucks, and you get regular drip coffee and it tastes a little bitter? Or when you get their espresso and it tastes burnt because they burn everything on purpose for it to be uniform??? Yeah. Summer Moon isnt like that. Hands down my favorite coffee shop.

Cool place to hangout, great vibes. The downside is being charged $85.00 for 3 drinks. Earlier that night we purchased the same drinks for $65.00. Thats why I gave 3 stars.

Had the blue moon (which is lavender latte) it was delicious; just the right amount of lavender. My only ask is that they have some descriptions on the menu (the big one on the wall) to what each drink contains. Good amount of seating but parking is exciting to say the least.

This is a nice location with plenty of socially distanced seating. The place is quite popular so expect a crowd and parking may be hard to find because it is located in a strip mall with warnings posted about time limits on parking. Our regular coffee was light and smooth.Fast but friendly service.

Way better than Starbucks! Quick, curious, helpful service with great coffee drinks. Parking gets a little tough and there is no drive through, but the quality and taste more than make up for it. Best coffee weve had in Katy.

I love their coffee, it really is different than most other coffee shops- even the independent ones or other small chains. A little smokey, not as bitter as youd expect, and pairs perfect with a bit of cream and the littlest bit of vanilla. Even for me - more of a cream with a dash of coffee girl - was glad to sip on a nearly black cup.Now Ive got a sweet tooth to the point my blood qualifies as raspberry syrup, but even I find the full moon milk to be Just Too Much - which is why the baristas will usually subtly ask if youre sure and let me tell you, youll only need to experience it once. Half moon at most for me, and even then, it is a dessert coffee.Their lattes are very nice though, and generally come as they come (aside from adding a flavor), so you cannot go wrong with one - iced or hot! My friend loves their cappuccinos, and while some places will skim on the foam, not here. Her cappuccino always has a pillow of perfect foam somehow - which I always assumed couldnt be done in a fast-paced commercial shop.But for this location, you are NOT getting parking. Its location was not ready for its popularity, but having to take a little bit of a walk is a small price to pay for a nice coffee that actually warrants the same price as a Starbucks and tastes infinitely better. Side note, they also have a little board where you can pay for a drink and write a nice message on a provided sticky note to put up for any stranger to claim later - no questions asked. There were a lot of notes with very sweet messages, so its a testament to the kind of people that visit.

Honestly, could have easily been a 5 Star review but for a couple things. 1. I ONLY DRINK CARAMEL DRINKS AND I DISCOVERED ON MY FIRST VIST THAT YOU DONT CARRY CARAMEL????? 2. WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC! STOP HANDLING PEOPLES LIDS AND PUTTING YOUR FINGERS RIGHT WHERE IM GOING TO PUT MY LIPS!!!!! I ASKED FOR A LID AND CHANGED IT. On a high note.....Katie was great! Great coffee! My husband is an Austin native, so he’d already known the greatness that is Summer Moon. I had to try it out for myself and I was equally impressed with their coffee. The location is great, and the service was amazing. I recommend the half moon for a perfect blend of sweetness and smooth coffee!

I wanted to like this place so so badly! I’m all for supporting Texas businesses. Tea is on the menu and I’ve been three times, to the Conroe location, and they’ve been out every time. I don’t drink coffee. Also, their online menu is huge with a lot of options but if you are in the store their menu is tiny. Lastly our Conroe location is digital payment only. I don’t know if that is business wide. For a family that budgets with cash it was pretty much the last straw. Done with them. I tried. So very disappointed.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COFFEE SHOP. I wish more people knew about it. The flavor of the coffee is super authentic because of their moon milk and roasting process. If you needed a review to push you to go THIS IS IT.

One of my favorite coffee places in katy! You can taste the smokiness from the fire roasted coffee they make! Definitely better than your average cup of coffee and worth the cost. Loooove the coffee here!! ever since Ive tried them the first time at the Austin location, their moon milk is delicious, I was even more ecstatic to find them in my neighborhood - Katy! our faves are the Horchata Chai Latte and Java Chip Glacier (I believe its called java chip I know theres choco chunks in it lol)note: their moon milk is pretty rich so if you prefer a less sweet coffee they do offer many options of less milk and even oat substitute!

Interesting and delicious coffee. Admittedly I was a bit hesitant about the wood-fired stuff, but it’s not like drinking brisket. It’s subtle. The moon milk takes it to the next level. Kind employees, pretty interior, and the strawberry smoothie is 5 year old approved.My wife and I have been 8 times in the last two weeks since discovering it. Love it.

My sister was going on and on about this place and how she would always visit the location in Austin. I can see why!!! Loved their banana nut bread and their mocha coffee was so good I think I finished it in under 3 minutes. The place had a small table for the kiddos and even books!! Loved that detail. Also the staff was super friendly and even brought our drinks to the table. Its honestly a place you MUST visit if you need a coffee fix or even a study session. I am coming back for all my coffee needs here.

We found Summer Moon coffee beans online and liked the smoked aspect (big fans of Texas BBQ). Then when we heard about the coffee shop we had to try. MOON MILK!!!! good grief this stuff is awesome. Whatever you get make sure it has MOON MILK in it. Half MOON is my favorite. Also, the brown butter rice krispy and banana nut muffin are exceptional.

The former location used to be a Starbucks, but this was far better. I had a half moon hot latte (the moon portion is their custom blend) and it was great. The staff was friendly, the service was prompt, and the place was clean. Id readily come back or invite people there to meet.

Amazing coffee, but absolutely extremely inconvenient hours. There’s absolutely no set schedule at this place it’s bizarre. For example, today is Saturday. It’s open until 4 pm, but yesterday (Friday) it was closed. But on Thursday it was open until 7 pm. It makes absolutely no sense why they don’t open at a set schedule every day. It makes it extremely hard to like the place lol. You just kinda have to hope it’s open. it says on Google “open every day time- time” but that is so false. It’s open and closed whenever they choose to 😭

Add: my car got hit in this parking lot by teenagers on two separate occasions. I really wanted to love this place but honestly I just can’t come back after the last time my car got hit here by learner drivers. :(The bad: I Came back during a work week day to discover a camp land. All the tables taken with no one budging or planning to move for hours on end by ladies in Texas polos and Tevas. I honestly thought there was a sit-in or something. Their dried coffee cups and condensation pools on the tables indicating a long overstay without plans to order anything else. I wish coffee shops would get stern on campers. They’re inconsiderate and isn’t it weird to see people pack in your tables and sit there for four to six hours and ordering one drink? Also wifi did not work with a full house.The Good: Totally blown away by the wonderful AC. It was cold in there. Also loooove my latte and how you can control the sweetness level! Great service, wonderful street view. Love the plugs running along the window. Came in for a quick stop N go. Hope to stay longer next time and get me a cute shirt n some beans!!! My pastry was yum too.

First time and i LOVED this place! The coffee is literally the best ive ever had! I only wish the cashier guy wasnt sticking his hand inside the bags he was putting pastries in so i could have tried one, seeing him do that threw me off and i didnt want to order one after that. He would open the bag by sticking his whole hand in and then putting the pastry in. Went during the week so i had no trouble with the parking or waiting time it was quick.

The coffee was great and the food was Delicious. I would love to go back again when Im in the area.

Finally an amazing coffee shop in Katy! I was kind of getting tired of the same ol Starbucks or Minuti Coffee shops! Summer Moon is AWESOME! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! I had their lavender latte and it was amazing! This place is totally worth a visit or ten!

This coffee is so delicious and wonderfully made, however, that is not why I am writing my review. The employees here are so sweet, well mannered and cheerful. I love the atmosphere. I have been here multiple times a week since I first discovered them a few weeks ago. I had a mix up with my order a few days ago but when I called the store to speak to the manager the next day, she was more than willing to make sure I got my money back and even went the extra mile for me. I really appreciate companies like this and I hope the management continues to do a wonderful job at this new establishment. I highly recommend this place!

My coworker introduced this place to me. I got the Half Wintermoon Latte. It is basically iced latte with half amount of milk (compared to their regular one). Im glad that I got the half one as I like latte but not wanting to drink milk with a bit of coffee. The Half Wintermoon Latte has the perfect ratio of coffee and milk. It tasted very good, bold in coffee taste and not super sweer either. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back.
