I cant say enough good things about this place.A while ago I ordered delivery for my wife and asked them to add a message to the cup. They spiced it up and added real love to the message.I had some issues with the order, called in, and the manager took the time to take care of me while her kids were in the room there with her. When I went to eat in, the place was really nice, had a great vibe, and all sorts of people were there. The food was delicious and interesting. They had great coffee but the food was surprisingly delicious and amazing. 10/10 recommend.

This was a quaint place to stop by. If youre interested in having a place to study, solo reading, or an intimate one on one meeting - this is a good place to check out (if youre ok with it being filled people). A good thing about this place is that it has an outside seating area. Its not very big but enough spacing to enjoy the outside air with some shade. The coffee was good but definitely not the best I have. The flavor was not prominent enough for me. Slightly disappointed that their coffee selection didnt have more variety but I just assumed its one of those coffee places with limited flavors. I tried their iced latte with almond milk, I felt like if I got hot, I would taste the coffee flavor more vs the milk.I didnt try any of their meals but did eat the cookie and scone. Their sweet/ pastry selection I feel was a bit lacking considering I can get more from bookstore coffee shop. The cookie and scone were good though but from reading other reviews, I can understand why its not everyones favorite. But do try the scone, I really liked it cause it wasnt too hard and it was very tasty (blueberry white chocolate flavor).Parking wasnt too bad considering the area but you have to take in consideration that it shares a lot with 3 other stores and in the looks of it, when I went, 2/3 were closed and parking lot was filled.

Not a friendly place, lacks customer service, definitely bad impression coming from San Diego. This is why starbucks never disappoints. Really wanted breakfast and I got there at 12:58 and a person was in front of me. When I went to order at 1:03 the girl with the hat was not rude but not helpful, and told me they stop serving breakfast at 1pm. She should have at least maybe given me options of breakfast if so. I obviously never been there and she didnt acknowledge that. I guess its a coffee shop for students mainly. I was really hungry and order burger, I would give it a 7. Didnt come with anything and for $10.28 was def not worth it. Once I finish I was trying to be nice and brought my plate to the counter and she said oh you can put it over there. There are no signs as to where to put dirty plates, I should have left it on the table. So I will never come back here and if you are a visitor dont bother, just go to Starbucks, way friendlier staff there in my opinion. So much for supporting local businesses 🤷‍♂️

Nice place to grab a coffee and have a casual chat with your friend! A lot of people also come here to work on their laptops. Looks like a versatile place ro hang out in. Menu is good enough, not impressive, but really good for a cafe this size. Plenty of outdoor seating area in an L shape. But as is usually the problem with similar cafes, it is often very crowded…

Great, fast service. Got a little busy while I was here and the staff moved quickly and were still kind. Love the Siphon coffee stand in the middle of the brew bar. Some good coffee for sale, some of it is over a month old... Nitro cold brew is amazing here! The scone I had was just okay. A little more expensive. If you dip scone into coffee, its great. Nice vibes and music inside. Good mix of outdoor and indoor seating. Also, several milk alternatives for espresso based/latte drinks. Glad I came here for a visit! Nice spaces for working on laptops as well.

It was packed inside. So your chances are seating outside in the humidity. Parking is limited unless you parked nearby the dumpster.Although for the price of a cold brew or coffee feels a bit off. I’m not sure if they’ve tasted their own cold brew before. It tastes like herbal medicine tea. As for the munchies, such as a cookie… a small cookie. There’s nothing too special of their chocolate chip cookie to be $3.50. There’s no big chucks of chips or etc. I had cookies in NYC that are larger and more scrumptious for $3.50.I’m disappointed, as I heard some good reviews and recommendations to come here. Will not be coming back.

TL;DR Xenophobic and/or anti-masker staff, also inefficient and rude, manager is indifferentMy wife and I ordered a latte and an empanada. We were wearing masks as we always do at indoor crowded places. We showed a coupon of $5 which the staff said would be taken care of after we swipe.Red flag 1: We were not offered a receipt.Red flag 2: When getting the coffee, I noticed that I was the only person served warm coffee in a paper cup for a dine-in order - everyone else was served in porcelain cups. Lots of porcelain cups lying idle on top of their coffee machine.Red flag 3: On asking for a porcelain cup, I was brusquely and unceremoniously handed a porcelain cup. Was I supposed to pour my latte from the paper cup into the porcelain cup and ruin the froth?Red flag 4: They actually did not honor or apply the coupon as I found out later from my credit card charge.Sent an e-mail to the manager, no reply in over 2 days.

The ambiance. The Java itself. The decor. The ample seating. The breakfast sandwich. The outdoor space. The events that take place. Fast free wi-fi. All those are positives. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is due to the lack of customer service. I can overlook the fact that when I asked the person taking my order how they’re doing, they give you a dead stare… after all, we don’t need to share how we are with everyone. However, when I ask for drink and food recommendations since it’s my first time, I actually expect them to be helpful. But no, they weren’t. They were as dry as a bone. This is how they interact with everyone- even the people that clearly come their daily (as I learned from my conversation with my fellow table mates).Coffee house culture is all about the vibe of a space. If the person that’s interacting with everyone is not friendly (in a very unsettling way), the owners here are missing on an opportunity to build loyalty with their customers. I could go to Siphon daily but I choose not to because I know I’ll get frigid service. There are many options for great coffee, decor and ambiance. I’d rather go somewhere with a cheerful staff.

Siphon is a solid coffee shop worth a visit if youre in the area. It has been a while since Ive been there last and was glad to know during my recent visit that theyre still doing a good job. Ive pretty much have only tried their chai tea latte which was is good! They have plenty of seating (and a good amount of outlets inside) including outseating.Luckily, my friend and I happened to be there while they were doing a steak night special (so cool) for such a good deal. It was $25 for steak, mash potatoes, and brussels mixed with a potatoe hash AND a glass of wine! For what we paid it was great! The sides were yummy and the steak was good (more of a family/friend grill at a bbq in park quailty if that makes any sense). The steak dinner was a delicious pleasant surprise. We enjoyed it and ended up take leftovers home. The atmosphere is great as well as the customer service. The staff and patrons are friendly! Keep up the great work Siphon Coffee.P.S. their mugs are so cute (they even have some you can buy now!)

Used to be one of the only good places to get real espresso in Houston. Now it’s become an overcrowded and overpriced full fledged restaurant/bar. Coffee has gone way down in quality. Also, the cashier asks, “Do you want to leave a tip?” I was going to before you asked me that. A tip is a private thing. Why have a touch screen monitor at the counter if you’re not going to use it? It’s weird being guilted into tipping. Definitely not returning to Siphon. Go to Southside instead.

Perfect place to focus and chill! The fact that this is one of the few places still allowing guests amidst the pandemic is an absolute blessing. On top of that, they constantly make sure all the areas are clean and that customers feel safe, both inside and in the outdoor patio area. Plus most guests are really conscious of keeping their space, though most also take off their masks when they sit down.Im not a huge coffee person, so whenever I do need get caffeine I get their vanilla latte and its SO easy to drink! All their syrups are house-made and really delicious! (If youre diabetic, they dont have sugar free syrups but theyre very friendly/unbothered if you need to make adaptions to your drink!)The vibe here is also always very chill. Ive been here all the way from 7am to 7pm before and even when its at its most crowded, Siphon never gets too too loud or uncomfortable. It also helps that theres always the outdoor area to escape to.Lastly, Im not sure who gets the aux cord at Siphon, but I always hear such good music every time I visit! They play all types of genres & artists from every decade and Ive even discovered new artists because I shazamed their song at Siphon! Also their speakers arent super overpowering at all, so you can easily just put in your own headphones if you want to.

Only tried the blueberry and white chocolate scone and it felt homemade. Service was great. Place was packed and I ordered to go. I would have given it 5 stars if coffee had had the needed heat and if prices were not so ridiculously expensive. This coffee shop is close to where I live so it is very conveniently located, not only in proximity but because it is off a large road that surprisingly doesnt get backed up with traffic. The demographic is great too, Ive met many friendly people bartenders and visitors. Parking can be an issue because it is pretty busy most of the time but I recommend parallel parking on a nearby neighborhood street and walking over. The coffee selection is standard, comparable to most other coffee shops. What is unique though and worth trying out is their house made syrup selection with each adding a twist to the classics. I really like the environment. Theres plenty of seating with bars, round tables, smaller two person tables, and comfy chairs to accommodate you and whatever sort of group you come in with. The large windows provide great ambient light without having the sun shine in. There is a modern and sort of rugged feel, with lots of metal, wood, and leather decorating the place. Its busy without feeling cluttered or claustrophobic. The cortado is light bodied and a little bit more milky than I prefer. Its also a little bit beany. It isnt my favorite, but I definitely wouldnt mind coming for the ambiance. The siphon was a very unique experience. Probably the most interesting coffee Ive had (not necessarily my favorite, but it was good). It is very tea-like in that it has a strong flavor and is still kind of watery. The flavor evolves over time as it cools, and I really liked it when it was closer to room temperature surprisingly. It also doesnt leave you with any coffee breath which is always nice. I would definitely recommend to people who really like coffee, especially because its made to be consumed black. Definitely not if you prefer lots of cream and sugar.

Super crowded and popular place so make sure to go before peak time... then again, it’s pretty busy throughout the day (not the reason why it’s 2 stars). parking is okay. my latte was bland even with sugar in it, the scone was hard to chew and wasn’t that flavorful, and there was such a bad fly problem in the outside seating. it kept flying around us, other people, etc. some people got up and sat somewhere else because of this. even when the staff saw the flies, they just walked past and didn’t say or do anything about it (service is okay overall).my friend got this cereal flavored latte, but she didn’t really seem to like it as she only drank 1/5 of it and just let it sit there the entire time we were there. go here if the other coffee shops are too busy, but it wouldn’t be my first option.
