Excellent customer service, clean facilities and reasonable prices. Debbie, the store manager is very professional and super easy to work with. She took the time to show us two different units and showed how to maximize the use of our space. She made the sign up process pain free and explained the different parts of the contract. I highly recommend the Kalakaua facility!

Extra Space off Kalakaua, Honolulu is the place to store! Upon arrival, not only was the staff welcoming and helpful, the manager was eager to assist and went out of her way to help identify the best unit option for my needs. They are detailed in their description of units and policies, and most importantly candid, which is appreciative and hard to find in businesses these days. The cost, unit size, and cleanliness is on point for town storage. Ease of access, hours, parking, and available carts. They made the humbug part of moving hassle free.

The customer service at this location is above amazing. There was a book once written called in search of excellence and the premises when you get average service youre surprised instead of expected. This particular location is professional very organized very detailed polite extend customer service for everything you ask. I highly recommend you go there I highly recommend you do business with this storage company you will not be disappointed. They are definitely a five-star rating property. Every employee there is friendly professional and willing to help you out with anything that they possibly can. And believe it or not they all know company policy they all know whats going on.

My experience with extra space storage has been wonderful. I’ve been storing with them off and on for at least 7 years now. The place is clean and quiet. The staff is helpful and Ive enjoyed the service I’ve received. When I need a place to store my things again, they are the first choice for me.

Betty I believe was her name gave excellent service. She went out of her way yesterday to make sure that we got a good storage room that better fits our needs. I am very cautious about storage facilities and potential traps they can use to separate me from my money. So when they offered a special that sounded too good to be true, I automatically become extremely suspicious. However, true to their word, their specials were truly generous incentives with no strings attached. As I managed to sell the item I had in storage in less than 30 days, I was released from my rental without any additional charges, hassle-free and with professional precision by Debbie. The other two agents that helped me were also very professional, friendly, and accommodating. This storage facility has a top-notch professional service staff.

Lets see the office is immaculate. So are the corridors. The women who work there are friendly. Its easy to get to my locker. They let you use pully carts. And scored a great deal online. Go check um out.... the only thing I think could be very helpful is trash cans in the parking structure and maybe a couple on every storage floor, but outside of that its a good choice

Anna and team are great to work with from beginning to end. Helped us figure out how much storage space we needed for our stuff (which was a lot). Security is great. Once, I didn’t lock my unit very well and within a few hours of leaving, they called me to tell me that so I went back to lock it properly (never did that again!). We just closed the storage unit and it was just as easy as opening. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing storage in town.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. Gosh I forgot the girls name but she was really nice enough to walk us to our unit and showed us the back elevator, to how to open and closing with lock on. Customer service was on a 100 with them on Saturday. And today was our second day there and had different workers and they were all still so very helpful. Glad we went with extra space storage!

The management and employees here are not very good. More importantly they raise the rent fee WITHOUT ANY NOTICE! My rate just increased by almost 150% again WITH NO WARNING! This is a rip off and they should be held accountable for their shady business!

I already have a unit there and have always had a good experience with the Staff there. I need some additional storage space so I reserved a space online last night and was called promptly by Anna this morning to finish the lease agreement but I couldnt do it at the time, and so I called back and was helped the rest of the way by Edward. They were both very professional and friendly. The process was quick and painless. Mahalo to them!

The hours are a bit tight because of work and stuff but the staff is amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Arleen when I first leased a unit and she was super sweet and explained everything and helped get directions from my home to the extra space. Debbie I had the pleasure of meeting when I first came to drop off a few boxes, I had forgotten some paperwork and she very patiently helped me with. Pretty good experience, staff is nice and helpful. The only problem was that when I booked my storage unit, they dont tell you that the smaller ones are only accessible by ladder, so watch out for that if you are planning on moving heavy items.

The service at Extra Space Storage is top notch. They have Coronavirus safety measures in place to protect the staff and the public. I felt very comfortable there with Debbie and Sierra. They wore masks, practiced social distancing and still were very friendly and knowledgeable. The storage lockers are indoors where its clean, well lit and easily accessible. I recommend this place for your storage needs.

So it seems 2 years ago I just left stars(5).Yesterday I went in with my wife looking to buy a 2nd unit. Was greeting by Arlene who was very friendly, patient and accommodating. She suggested a bigger locker instead of 2. Better deal for me! I noted how she still greeted customers while working with us, and thanked them for waiting. She also answered a phone call and immediately asked to call them back. This shows that if I called or came in while she was working with someone else, she would still acknowledge me. Great customer service from her and she deserves the max amount of pay for her position.

The only reason why I gave this rating a 4 stars is because this storage unit closes really early and when I mean close it really closes. You cant use the elevator and your car cant go out but I guess that maybe normal! Would love to see the hours extended to accommodate for work hours!

The staff was very helpful and very thorough on giving me all the information I needed when it came to the hours of operation and info regarding my bill.

First of all, ALL the employees here are super friendly and helpful. We got our first unit a month ago with Debbies help and yesterday needed another, so we walked in and five seconds later Debbie had us set up and stoked on our second one. Super efficient, to the point, easy to be around. If you have storage unit supervisor experience, extra space off king street wins for customer service.The storage itself is easy access, super easy access, clean, not weird, and feels safe which is super important.

If you ever get the chance to talk to Debbie, a clerk/associate for Extra Space Storage on Kalākaua, she’s just absolutely fun & friendly, sweet and very professional. As a new customer, I never expected the level of service that she provided with a simple phone call. She made me feel like a normal person rather than a number or a score to add to the board of sales. She not only helped me but was even kind enough to explain each section in detail and even simplified sections that would be somewhat difficult to understand. She took me step-by-step through the entire process and was even patient with me in moments that were, for whatever reason, paused. You could tell as soon as you get to chatting with her, that she had a very nice personality. And based on her interactions, not only is she seemingly down-to-earth and bubbly at the same time, she also seems like the type who finds elements of fun in every task or what have you that she undertakes while keeping the integrity of herself as well as the company’s.Debbie if you are reading this, know that I mean every word! I was truly impressed with the way you handled our phone call. You represent the company very well. As I said, you were very professional while also fun by keeping the conversation light with dashes of humor here & there. And your phone etiquette is outstanding. Excellent facility and nicest staff. Its not every day that you meet fantastic people you want to hang out with, but thats what happened when I met the folks who run this facility. Robin really took care if me in helping me find the correct size and location for my unit. She even stayed open a few minutes after 6 so I could sign the contract. I left here and told my husband i just met the most lovely women. They continued to take great care of us as we unloaded a 20 foot shipping container. Water, and bathroom facilities were great to have. This place is so clean and the parking is easy too.

Lets be honest. Choosing a storage unit organization can be much like drawing straws to see who will face the evil character in a video game. I am glad to report that I feel Extra Space Storage is different. Anna and the other associates are so very kind, welcoming, insightful, resourceful, patient, fair and accommodating. I get the impression that they are more interested in maintaining a solid business relationship than just interested in over selling a unit I may not be able to afford so they can quickly auction off my property. They were eager to work with me to resolve matters that were in immediate need of attention. Also, they have wonderful communication skills which is very important to me. My business partner and I share a couple units and failed to lock one of them properly our first visit. The team there made sure to take the necessary measures in order to ensure our property stayed locked up and safe. We are very relieved and grateful to have chosen the proper establishment in entrusting our dear possessions. They by far exceeded our expectations just by resolving our unfortunate mistake so swiftly and smoothly. The qualities they strive for are apparent in their exemplary service. We know that if any issues happen to arise, these ladies; without a doubt, will work with us to maintain an excellent standing with them, the company and our account. To have worry and stress removed from any transaction, ongoing business dealing and life in general is not only a great relief, but proof of an amazing team going above and beyond whats normally expected to ensure an all around excellent experience for everyone involved. Sadly, those characteristics are rare this day in age so be prepared to be not just satisfied but impressed. You ladies are the definition of Aloha. 🌺 Mahalo. I must add my absolute ONLY qualm and that would be the hours of operation. From what I understand, there were problems with ppl breaking into other units after office hours. Alarms have been installed to prevent such activity which are great but closing anytime before 9-10pm is very inconvenient and frankly frustrating. You would assume that bc they close so early during the week days that they would be open later on the weekends but that is NOT the case. With my busy schd it is next to impossible to ever make it to my unit before 8pm let alone by close at 7pm or earlier. I can only express my disdain and offer up a possible solution for consideration and that would be to hire one maybe two depending on the shift length, night/overnight security guard. I have no doubts that it could be afforded. If even staying open until 10pm or 12am at the earliest would without a doubt increase your client base and customer satisfaction. Thank you for your attention to this matter and hopefully this is an issue that is currently being discussed. I am not alone in feeling frustrated and or annoyed by the operation hours per various discussions with several other customers and can only hope they have expressed their feelings as well. Mahalo.

Today I visited this location and was given superior customer service from Robin and Debbie. If I could give 10 stars I would. They were so accommodating, showing me multiple units and helping me figure out if the amount of items I had would be able to fit. I would recommend this location, with these two outstanding employees, to family friends and everyone. It’s clean and secure. If you need storage in the Honolulu area, you should definitely come to Extra Storage on Kalakaua.
