Great place to visit in Hawaii. Food and coffee were good. Waited 1 hr to order and another 35 min to get our coffee/food. Expect to wait in a very long line for this place. Coffee was the best Ive had and the bacon and egg sandwich with a taro bagel was also really good. Ingredients tasted fresh and perfect meal to start off your day. Great view and sweet vibes. Would come back again.
I got coffees in several times during my stay. My favorite was Honey latte! It had the softest milk foam with real honey. I also got Island latte which has coconut flavor. It was really good too. My husband’s favorite was frozen island mocha which also has coconut flavor. We had brunch here once and around 10:30am the line was insanely long. There’s Island vintage wine right next door and we found out that if you want to dine in, you can get the same coffee and food menu sitting at the wine place which looks better than coffee place. I got island plate which comes with Portuguese sausage, two eggs, rice, salad, asparagus, and papaya. It was very hearty breakfast and the papaya was so sweet! My husband got Kalua pork sandwich with added half papaya and sweet potato fries . It remind me if Vietnamese banh mi sandwich and it was very spicy. The customer service felt little off because the server brought food and just threw on the table without any word and disappeared. Other than that it was pretty good.
Food and drinks are 100% 5 stars. Fantastic menu, delicious items, and beautiful presentation. The only reason I rate it down a star is because you will stand in line for a very long time during most parts of the day. The wait is worthwhile, if you have the time. Be careful if you are traveling or have a schedule; you could easily wait 1h+ (we waited 1.5h) if you line up the minute the open at 7am, even on a Monday. Since we were on vacation and not in too much of a rush, we ate here three times because we loved it so much!
Visited on vacation in July. Stood in an incredibly long line for an hour (apparently this is normal) and ordered an açaí bowl, breakfast plate, and a loco moco. The açaí bowl was delicious! The breakfast plate had a good quantity of food though most of it was bread. My date thought the loco moco was decent as he was on a hunt to find the best in Honolulu. Overall would visit again but only if the wait was significantly shorter.
We went there around 7am and there was a long line. Line seems to go fast, but if you dine in at their restaurant right next door, you dont have to wait in line and order the same things. We got vintage kona mocha, acai smoothie, acai bowl, and wagyu loco moco. All the food and drinks were yummy although a bit too sweet.
The line was super long when we arrived for our brunch, but it did move fairly quickly! Although the food was slightly on the pricey side, it was worth it! We ordered the 16oz acai bowl and 2 of the lox bagels (taro bagel substitute)! We sat on the patio waiting for our food to be made, took a while but we were pleased when it did arrive. I would definitely come back before flying back home 😊
First timer and OMG the Lilikoi Bowl is magnificent!! It was soo worth the 40 min wait and I arrived at 6:34am. Wow!Editing again as I visited the morning after and arrived at 6:15am and there was no line. Okay only 3 people, but still.. 25 people lined up right after me. Note: the business hours posted outside says they’re open at 6:00am. However, Google says they open at 6:30am. I suggest arriving between 6am-6:15am.
Food was pretty good but the service has terrible timing. My friend ordered the same dish as me with a different side and mine came 15 minutes after hers. Overall for a party of 4, there was 25min between the first and last dish were served. When I started eating everyone was done already. They need to work on that.
We came here around 6:30am and there was already a long line out the door. I’m usually not a fan of açaí bowl but with many recommendations for this place why not a try since we were on vacation and had time to burn. Very much worth the wait, their açaí bowl was so fresh and I had one with nuts, heavenly! Yummy! Worth the wait for those who thinks this place is overrated.
We all know about the wait time by now. But I was very disappointed about the knowledge of the cashier and quality of the food. I asked the cashier about the Local Fish Burger. All she could tell me is that its a local white fish. OK, so I ordered the Ahi Burger. When I finally got the sandwich, it looked like cat food in a bun. The ahi should be 1 beautiful piece of tuna, not 5 chunks that appear to be chewed and spit onto the sandwich. I used to really like Island Vintage but its starting to go down hill. The photos dont show it very well, but it was not a pretty fish.
This was recommended to us by a co-worker whom came to Hawaii before us. So in short “gracias mi amigo mucho bueno” everything was so delicious. I have zero complaints and even though the line was super long for the coffee shop; it a deterrent because the restaurant’s line is short and quick. Very please with this breakfast one of the best we had since we arrived🥰 Mahalo
The food and service was outstanding. This location is hard to find, but it is is on the second floor of the shopping area. My biggest issue is the wait times are not worth it. You can find similar and even cheaper food and drink elsewhere. This is geared for visitors from away and people who are willing to pay top price for the same items at different locations. Not only would you be saving time shopping else where, but you would also save yourself the hassle of being surrounded by hundreds of tourists, many with children. The combination of the wait and the amount of people brings out the worst out in people. While the staff was nice, the entitled crowd of people were terrible. They treated the staff pretty poorly, and it was hard to watch. I finally said something and was called some awful terms.
The organization/management of the store is terrible. We arrived at the store around 7:18 am. Stayed in line for 1.5 hours, and waited another 15min for our coffee and açaí bowl. The lava mocha doesn’t have lava showed in the picture at all and the açaí bowl was just so so, a little too sweet for us. Definitely not worth the waiting time. The store is sharing the menu/kitchen with island vintage wine bar next to it. Their line was a little bit shorter, if you just want to try the açaí bowl, you can visit there and order it.
To start off, the likikoi moana bowl I got was really good. the addition of papaya and passion fruit made the dish!BUT, this was the worst dine in experience i’ve had in hawaii. First, I waited 20min for my order when the place was empty. I had to go up to the counter to ask where it was before they realized they forgot to make it. Then, they make my order to go instead of dine in (which wasn’t too big of a deal but I was already annoyed). Then, to top it off, they make my order wrong! They give me the regular açaí bowl instead of the one I ordered. I had to go up to the counter again to ask them to add the extra ingredients in.If the place was busy, I would understand these mistakes but this is just unacceptable.
Island vintage has been my fave spot for coffee for years and now my love has only increased once my friend made me aware of the vegan menu. The vegan French toast plate is colorful, which denotes nutrient content and a surprisingly large portion size. I am addicted, hooked in love. Ill be back tomorrow morning! ❤
Great place for coffee. Never got to eat breakfast here because everyone and their families go there. In the epicenter of the tourist area. Coffe was great and most of the food looked great. If you happen to go during a lull try it out.
Food was great! Delicious and very well priced! Only downside is that the service is not great, they are not welcoming, even when they bring you the food. If you don’t mind that then it’s all good!
We stayed several days in Waikiki and we went there everyday! Yes everydayTry cold coffees, try all hot coffee, try everything 😄
I wish there is a way to separately grade service and food. Because it will be a one star for efficiency and four star for the food. They are trying their best during these times however, the staffer running establishment was asking for empathy from patrons sitting at the bar and then continued to complain about the poor staffing numbers. People come to paradise for relaxation and not to hear problems. Especially when you’re bellied up to the bar. The staffer even greeted a patron (also at the bellied up at the bar) with “aren’t you the angry person earlier”. My jaw dropped at the disposition of the staffer. While I am writing the rest of my party is just about to finish up their food. For those who are asking “ well how do I know the food was good?” That’s because my friends were kind enough to share their food while I was for my order. Food is here now …. To be continued…..
Secret spot for awesome vegetarian and vegan food. We almost tried every vegetarian item while we were in town - all were spectacular. Great value, especially when some dishes have half a papaya on the side!Kitchen can get a little slow sometimes. Calling in for takeout helps alleviate any anxious waiting at this small cafe. Plus, when you pick up your food, you can jump the line to pay!
Long wait, a little pricey, but ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! Omgosh! I will go back at least another time before I leave this place.I waited about 40 mins in line. Ordered the Island Style Plate, Sausage & Egg Bagel, a frozen Macadamia Kona Mocha, and an ice coffee. They told me it will take 20-30 mins for the food to be ready, but they were out in
Amazing breakfast. Great vegetarian options. Also great for sandwiches to go on hikes. went there twice, I’m team short rib loco moco
Menu looks great and packed with lots of options! I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was delicious! It’s very busy though so give your self time to chill and wait.
Heard amazing things about this place from many travelers. Went there early so as to beat the rush only to have a 45 minute wait for food. (was the second customer in line) To make things even worse the credit card machine was “down” after the first customer went to pay. I asked if it was still an issue with the machine upon being helped she said she could try it but cash is as easier option. I went to hand her a $100.00 bill since I was not expecting to have to use cash. She gave me a rude look and said I’ll try your card since she didn’t want to break the larger bill. I was to say the very least very disappointed in my experience. To add to my experience I was also very disappointed in my coffee. I would recommend if you want a good coffee to go to a little shop down the road called Kai Coffee shop. Great service and great coffee.
The iced lava mocha only has a few ice and it is not cold at all. The cream on top is tiny tiny, totally different from the pictures. The taste is too sweet. Too much sugar! I would like to order the iced coffee in McDonald’s. Not worth the waiting time. I can not understand so many people waiting in the line. Maybe I did not order the right drink.
Great food - had the poke and loved it. The acai bowl was also very flavorful and has very sweet granola. The coffee and wait, however, was very unappealing. We waited in line for about an hour and a half for burnt coffee, which made the entire experience feel very lack luster. I went back the next day at a different time to try them again, but the line was ridiculous - this establishment should work on opening another location or expanding their current location to have another register/kitchen instead of trying to sell knickknacks.
I love Island Vintage Coffee and so do a lot of people. Expect a long line - and that your number one choice may be out by the time it’s your turn to order so always have backup options. Not the place to go when you’re hangry. Make the time to go and enjoy it.
Beth and her co worker are the BEST! They let us order even though they closed in one minute. Love them so much best customer service!!!!! Give them a raise!!!
Delicious, fairly priced and great portions! Will definitely visit again!
The food was decent overall, but açaí bowl is too sweet. And the line is always so long, I don’t think it worth the time. If you only stay here for few days, I’d recommend try some other better restaurants, not this one
Food is great and coffee is good also. The wait is just almost unacceptable. We waited in line at 7am for an hour and a half. Then once you get up to the register there is a sign that says food will take 30-40 minutes which you don’t find out until you have already waited a while. There just seems the need for more staff as they only have one employee at the cash register, one making coffee and smoothies and like one waitress. The place is small so might not be able to do that but the takeaway is just be prepared to wait a long time. Food and drink is not worth the wait compared to other places but you won’t be disappointed with it once you get it.
You must try a affogato here with macadamia nut gelato. Its become a regular part of my waikiki stops.
Some of the best coffee I’ve had!! Super cute shop that opens up to the area outside/ downstairs so you feel the light wind while sipping on your coffee. Staff was very friendly
I know... the line is RIDICULOUS in the morning considering most people come for some coffee. But their Haupia Moana bowl is probably my favorite açaí Ive ever had, like ever. Their island latte is super delicious too of course. The line does move quite quickly considering if you bring along a buddy. I also heard from a neighbor in our queue that line is much shorter in the afternoons if youre ok with caffeine in the PM.
The food and coffee are absolutely delicious!! If you are in line in the morning and you want to order food, the sister restaurant Island Vintage Wine Bar right beside this shop has seated dining and the same food and tends to be a bit quicker. Sooooo worth the wait!
Required for any visitors. Purple potatoes are to die for. Also for those west coasters with demanding espresso tastes, this is one of the best places to get your fix. Be prepared for a long line at anytime. Right next door is a sit down restaurant with all the same dishes. Great option when theres a line and you have the time.
Went for an afternoon pick me up! Friendly quick service! Different varieties of coffee and teas! Gonna have to stop by again to try them all.
#grateful have you ever had the best coffee latte sitting in a tree house with Paradise surroundings eating the best banana bread ever wish you were here so I could put a smile on your face my feet are never leaving this ground eternity
I had gone to several cafes during my trip and this one had the best coffee! It was busy but they were able to attend to me quickly and provide the drink in a timely manner. They have tables to sit indoors and outdoors, offering drinks and food.I had the dark mocha iced and it was perfect! Also at a decent price. Also good customer service.
Açaí bowl was decent. Hot latte was atrocious.
After waiting 45 minutes in the longest line at 7 something-8am, I wanted to hate this place but the acai bowls are plentiful and worth the cost compared to other shops. If you are getting stuff to go and have a time crunch, dont come here. If you want coffee and food, dont take it to go, just dine in at the Island Vintage wine bar next door without a wait (sometimes) and with the same menu. Wish we knew about that! Also you can call in your order ahead of time and not wait in line. We saw some folks do that.Update: the next day we called ahead and sure we didnt have to wait as long but once we arrived, they ignored us and helped people who walked in after us for phone orders. This place is a zoo. Best to avoid it.
Incredible food! The Lilikoi Açaí bowl was one of the best I’ve ever had. Sandwich was delicious and everything even down to the chips and salad were amazing! Came here on a whim and left more than satisfied.
This shop was extremely busy, but we decided to stand in line anyway. We really wanted a smoothie. I’m so glad we did! The Lanai smoothie was delicious and definitely satisfied my craving. The food all looked great too, so we’ll definitely go back for food at some point.
Line was VERY long in the morning...about a 45 minute wait. Would recommend you call ahead if you dont want to wait. I was sad that we waited all that time and they did our order to go when we had requested to stay and eat...so I couldnt get a nice picture of the Acai bowl (which is WONDERFUL) by the way.
I definitely would not recommend that place. I just wanted to order a burger and fries for to go. First of all, I waited 40 minutes in line to order. The service at the counter so slow. Then, I waited 1 hour for my order and I hadn’t received my meal. I asked for refund. So, I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes there, but still stayed hungry. The service was awful and very slow.
Ordered shrimp salad and mushroom burger, both tasted very good
Acai bowls are top notch must get!
This place is simply fantastic 👏 heavenly food. Pick anything on the menu and then fly to haven. Coffee is simply fantastic flavor too. Just go there! Dont miss it if you are in Honolulu. We had every breakfast there and xaneclled all other lol and the finger next door at their wine bar is another place not to be missed.
I always loves their Aica bowl before CV19. Now it is not as good as old time.
Vintage Kona Mocha was amazing! Went back again for lunch, had Wagyu-mushroom burger and garlic mahi, did not disappoint! Line is long but the service is fast for drinks.
This place is great, love the aci bowls, coffee and the shrimp was amazing! The place is crazy busy and its for a good reason, go get some! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area and not on a time crunch. Staff very friendly, facilities are nice! Only thing I recommend is maybe a sign telling people to take their stuff into the shop after eating, because the birds went crazy and ended breaking dishes.
Absolutely delicious coffee and banana bread. Definitely get the banana bread toasted. The lines can get long so get their early (as soon as it opens) or be sure to have extra time and someone to chat with while you wait.
The wait was long (30 mins) on 8am Friday morning, but the food was great. I ordered iced latte with oat milk and taro bagel. Yum yum!! I’ll definitely gave it another visit if the wait is not that bad.
Unfortunately they do not post outside that their menu changes after 9:30 but they will happily make you wait for a half hour and then try to upsell you smoothies and açaí bowls. Unfortunate because this place markets itself as serving until 10 when that is not the case.
Great food and really good coffee, but the wait was over 1.5 hours to get through the line and then receive my coffee and sandwich.
Love the food but way too long wait times. :/ May be just to Uber Eats it and wait it out at home.
Good dirty Chai. My go to stop before work. Long lines sometimes so plan accordingly. Seating can be tough, as expected with social distancing.
