George the owner was extremely courteous and helpful. They unlocked my car, diagnosed my issues and got me back on the road for a great price. Quality service and staff. Highly recommended.

I had never used this company but my A/C was not working. A friend recommended George at University auto center.. I have never been more pleased.. George was very friendly, knowledgeable, explained everything he was going to do and very fair on his pricing... The courtesy inspection that they do is VERY DETAILED . It was 17 pages long with pictures and explanation of what needed to be done... Very very thorough!!! I am extremely satisfied with the service I received and highly recommend George and his company....I feel like I am driving a new car:):):)

UPDATE: I can no longer trust this auto center with my business. Theyve made several simple and discouraging oversights and mistakes on routine maintenance, which tells me that going to them for more crucial work is highly risky.The first mistake is fairly minor: after having new tires installed, the psi did not match the value listed on my door jamb. Easy enough to fix, but thats an oversight virtually any car newbie cannot miss. I wondered why the ride seemed harder and bumpier than usual, then figured out that they had not inflated (rather, deflated) it to the correct value.The second mistake was more costly. They performed an oil and transmission fluid change, as well as a car battery replacement, after inspection and advisement. 24 hours after that was completed, my car would not start, and no lights would turn on. The AAA technician took a gander at the installation, noted that the screws were loosely installed, and saw that the batterys negative terminal was ground to the perimeter of the hood, in a spot where road bumps or simply opening and closing the hood would dislodge that ground, rather than ground it where it had originally had been. Paint also covered the metal it was making contact with. His reaction was that it was bush league s**t, my 10 year old wouldve done a better job. This was especially discouraging to hear, considering that I had told George that I was going to embark on a road trip soon.I came back to University Auto to tell George what the AAA technician had told me, to get my battery ground as it had originally been, and how disappointed I was that my car had failed no more than a day after service. Georges response was to go on the defensive right away: that everything happens for a reason, that I was calling his business shady (a word I avoided using or implying), disputing the AAA technicians findings (who spends all day checking on and replacing batteries) and that it would be a shame if I didnt come back over something minor like this.The reason is there: a lazy and dangerous oversight. What happened was I lost valuable time trusting these guys to do a job right the first time around. If the first response to dissatisfaction is to take on this hyper-defensive stance, that indicates that its happened a few too many times. Perhaps that dissatisfaction is justified.I will not be coming back here or recommending anyone to visit this place.---------I walked in on a Monday morning and asked to have new tires mounted and balanced, as well as a brake check and coolant fill. I was also able to get a complimentary inspection due to being a AAA member. George was very accommodating and professional, updated me with photos and diagnosis of what needed to be done, and provided timely service. Prices were fine, and I wasnt coerced into fixing something unnecessary. Great job!

I went there for an oil change and tire rotation. I used to go to George all the time for oil changes but our new car has 3 year maintenance plan at the dealer. Took my daughters car and it was the same great service I used to get with George. I would definitely recommend him for his honesty, professionalism and friendliness.

I needed a new battery for my car. It is not a common battery. George told me he would be able to get one from Miami first thing in the morning. He texted me that it was ready by 9 AM. The price was exactly as quoted. Plus, they use a device to kkep all of the electronic presets when they remove the battery. I will definitely be using them again.

Had new tires replaced 3 weeks ago. One of the lug nut cap was stripped. Called and droped in the car. They replaced the lug nut free of charge. George was very accomodating.

I had an issue with the tire that blew out, and since this establishment was AAA approved, I had my car towed there, and they replaced my tire. I have no complaints. I appreciate their work in my professional they were.

Ordered tire repair only. I was offered other services including air filter change. Wipers. Brake flush but did not accept. However, when I received my bill it contained more than $200 extra charges for these services I did NOT order. Worse, my car steering wheel must now be turned 25 degrees to the left in order to drive straight. You would have thought that they would have notified me about this major alignment issue (they claim it was likely caused by tow truck during delivery) when they delivered car to me. I have been doing business with University Auto Center for years. Never had a problem. I guess in this pandemic stricken economy something has changed. For the worst.

The man at the front desk went out of his way to help. I showed up with no appointment needed two special order tires. He didnt have them in stock but said if I could wait he would send someone to the warehouse to pick them up. I waited they got my tires which were perfect and gave them to me for a good price.Very happy with this vist

I get my oil changed here often with almost no issues. 2 days after my most recent oil change there was a problem with the plug. I brought the car back to the shop and they replaced everything no questions asked.Great customer service.I would highly recommend going to this location for any vehicle issues.

I was greeted right away when I walked in. Was just getting an oil change, I was helped with no waiting since I was the second customer in the morning but did not have an appointment. Overall pleasant and professional service. Even was entertained by squirrel named Theodore. I would only suggest to maybe put a tent outside and seats during covid19 since customers cannot sit inside the shop.

And when I went to another tire center for a nail in my tire they said that they couldnt plug it and I would need a new $200 tire. Plus that it would look odd for me to have 1 different tire so I should buy 2. Thankfully I left there and went to University Auto. George and his team was able patch the nail hole. I went there to checked my pickup Truck’s radiator, it was very fast and professional, they showed me where was the leak, I asked them for an original Napa’s parts, it was a littler priced but I want it anyway, they gave me a very good discount in others parts and services.I guess I’m lucky to find this professional place.I left my pickup truck there over night and was ready next morning . it was my first time there and I am going to keep doing my mechanical issues there. They have very friendly and good customers services skills.

I was referred by AAA as the nearby neighborhood mechanic. They have been here over 20 years. I was amazed when I got there - They were busy when I got there at 8:00am but George (owner) promised the car would be ready before noon. The car was ready in less than 2 hours. They were nice, pleasant, courteous, and professional from beginning to end and the best part was the price. A lot less than what I thought it would be. I was very happy with the service and pricing. Too bad I didnt hear about them til now. Will definitely come back to them if I have to and would highly recommend them to everyone. I have been getting my oil changed at University Auto Center for a while. I really appreciate their honesty. This last time I requested a tire rotation as well. I was informed that my tires didnt need rotating. Other facilities Ive been to, always said they needed to be rotated and that I needed new air filters, and various other things. I dont do business with companies I dont feel comfortable with. I will continue to take my car to University Auto for my routine maintenance.

I have had a few things fixed here on my vw baby. They do a great job, the prices are fair, and they even offered me a ride home so I didnt have to wait. Sarah Risi is the ultimate professional and very knowledgeable. I came alone with no male backup so to speak and they did not take advantage of me. George, the big boss man called me and explained everything very in a way I could understand. The price was exactly what Sarah quoted and the free.23 point inspection included with my oil change and brake line flush was very helpful. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend. I am very happy with my service. I called in to have the nitro replaced in my tires and they told me come by and we will take care of you. I arrived and was immediately taken care of. University Auto Center of Angels... I took my car to its Dealership and was quoted that the repair I needed was going to be an outrageously high price. Shopped around and put my trust in these guys and when I say I quickly realized that these auto places around are just about the dollar, especially when they know you are in a desperate position, believe me and just bring your vehicle here. Honest knowledgeable mechanics point blank period. Thank you guys soooo much.

All I wanted was a simple nail plugged. Instead, I get rudeness and attitude. First, if a place is cash only for items under $25, a sign or a notice up front would be nice. Attitude about your policy, however, not nice, especially, when all I did was suggest a sign. Not a big deal. Second, you want a photo of my ID while I go get cash, weird, but fine. I ask politely for you to remove my photo, and you did so kindly. Then all I ask, is if there is a recently deleted trash folder like Apple to which you get defensive again and give me attitude. With the rampant use of identity theft, I’m sure you can understand my inquest. All in all, I will NEVER use your place of business again, nor will I ever recommend this business to anyone. I’ll stick with your neighbor, Honest1.

Had my Daughters car flatbedded here due to an seemingly metal on metal screeching in one of the front wheels.The Manager Omarie told me they would likely not have time to get to it before closing at 1:00 but had it up on the lift and diagnosed with gravel between wheel and rotor then I was on my way at no charge.Very refreshing dose of good old fashioned honest business.I recommend all locals, students and parents of students in the area have their car serviced here.

George is the man.....super honest and reliable, and wont try to up-sell you on things you dont need. Have you ever noticed how you always seem to drive away with another problem when you go to Pep Boys or Tire Kingdom or some other corporately owned shop? That NEVER happens when George fixes your car. My sisters and I have been going for years, highly recommended

So took them for oil change and was fine, although they are usually busy and take a bit long. My main issue was i took my car in for as was overheating and found out water pump was messed and some other things, quoted me at near $3k. When i said no thanks they charged me $120 for the check that took them no more than 30 minutes to do and at the next place i went laughed at how expensive they tried to charge me and $600 and a few hrs later i was driving again. DONT GO FOR BIG JOBS AND IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT CARS, THEY MIGHT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU LIKE I FEEL THEY HAVE DONE WITH ME!

Getting tires doesn’t have to suck, called ahead, stayed about an hour, 4 fresh Michelin tires. The whole property is clean and welcoming. 10/10 would get tires there again.

This customer service is just amazing, I love how the manager Omarie Chang made me feel so welcome. The place is very clean and organized, and I got my oil change, transmission fluid inspection, and the brakes checked. Everything other than the oil change was in good condition, and I love the the fact that they payed attention to detail. Definately going back!!

I was visiting from out of town and had a tire destroyed by a pothole. Omarie didn’t bait and switch with cheap tires to advertise artificially low prices. I got high performance Michelin’s for less than Tirerack’s price. (I had already done my research because I was planning to replace all four tires at my next service.) I got new tires and a 4-wheel alignment while I waited. Great service.
