I had my hair done by Courtney in January and let me tell you my confidence level went through the roof!!! She completely transformed my hair from dull to dazzling and gave me such a good boost for the new year. I had to come back last week to add some color for the fall and I am extremely excited for what she did. She went above and BEYOND to match a good color with my skin tone.. the amount of compliments I have received on my hair is insane.Viviana did such an amazing job with my cut and style!! She kept my length as I requested, but was able to get rid of dead weight and cut it in a way that goes with my face shape.Two truly talented ladies!!! Enzo cut my hair for the first time back in August and not to be dramatic, but it was a life changing transformation. I’ve been back for a maintenance cut once since then and both times I could not be happier with every single aspect of the service I received. All of the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional (very customer focused) and I won’t ever go to another salon. I have no doubt that the whole team is extremely talented and that you can’t go wrong with the stylists there, however, I cannot say enough about how amazing Enzo is and how insanely happy I am with the results of my hair transformation thanks to his expertise, skill, patience, attention to detail, and overall talent.Enzo spent time listening and getting an understanding of what’s important to me and what kind of overall results I would be happy with. He then developed a vision and recommendation for a haircut/style that fit me perfectly both from the standpoint of complimenting my physical attributes but also fitting my personality / overall personal style as well!Enzo talked about the details of the cut and when I had some hesitation about the length he reassured me that we can go with what I am comfortable with but explained which pieces of the look he described were very dependent on the length. I have been going to Toni & Guy for years and have nothing but great things to say! Whether I am going for color (Jade!), a cut or just a blow-out/style I have always left so pleased.I cant say enough great things about Jade - she genuinely cares about your experience and giving you the best results. I see Jade 2x a year to maintain my blonde and she always does such a great job bringing my color back to life and blending it so it grows out so naturally. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and it is very comforting! I highly, highly recommend jade for anything color related!!I have also seen Ashley, Viviana and Brooke for cuts and styles and they are all so talented. You really cant go wrong!I would also like to mention that whenever I am there it is a great experience but they have really done a great job making the experience Covid friendly and safe. I have been to the Hoboken location twice during Covid and everyone is always in a mask, they are cautious with capacity and overly clean!

A massaging recliner for hair wash, a cup of cappuccino, the stylist (Enzo, owner), perfect hair cut. Posting the review late but it was so good I still remember like it was yesterday. Just an FYI if you are driving there, make sure to have 10 extra minutes for parking and walking to the salon.

I had been looking for a curly-wavy hair expert for a long time and bumped into Vivianas Instagram one day. After seeing the pictures, I booked an appointment with her, and oh my god - she gave me one of the best haircuts ever!! Since my hair has a lot of volume, stylists never used to give me any layers and my haircut was more like a trim. But Viviana gave me those perfect layers and taught me the entire curly girl routine and I have received so many compliments on my defined curls. I am totally loving it and Im so glad I got a haircut from her. She is the best!! I highly recommend her.

Viviana was my hair stylist, and she was so sweet and such a delight. When I first got there she was super informative and knowledgeable on different treatments that will help keep my hair healthy and answer all questions I had on products.I showed her a picture and explained to her what I wanted long bangs and layers. She nailed the look! I got so many compliments and is my new favorite hair style. Will definitely go back to get my cut by her again and recommend getting your hair done by Viviana as well!

I had the opportunity to have an appointment with Kelsey who did my hair and it was absolutely amazing. She sat down with me before to answer all of my questions. It was the first time I dyed my hair and she made it a really good experience. I am in love with how my hair came out. I was offered water, tea, everyone was making sure I felt comfortable along the way. Then Dary styled my hair and it came out so beautiful, he gave me a lot of information about great products I can use for my hair. The whole process was fun and enjoyable. 10/10 recommend them.

I have great respect for the professionalism of Tony and Guys team. They are well trained and know what they are doing. However, customer service has gotten worse and worse over the past few years. The front desk staff is just really mean and unprofessional and cant seem to find a solution for scheduling, or just be nice. I had extremely unpleasant experience in communication with their front desk person to resolve an issue with scheduling, that turns into drama. If you want to have a fun weekend- welcome! I don’t think after ten years being Tony Guy client I will return for their services again.

Huge shoutout to Kelsey because I love my hair, it has remained so healthy, and she is great in every way. She knew what I wanted better than I did, talked me through every step, and was overall super kind and funny. She is so giving of herself and her time to make sure you as a client are as happy as can be. Toni & Guy Hoboken! What can I say! You guys are fantastic at what you do! From booking the appointment to Saftey protocols that you guys are taking during the Covid-19 pandemic, I was delighted. From the elevator entrance to the greeting I received was fantastic. The receptionist at the from desk greeted me with a beverage offer, to a robe to wear. My stylist was Enzo (owner) of Toni & Guy Hoboken. I will provide before and after photos. But man Enzo is a pure genius with the scissors! He explained what I’m doing wrong to my hair to what I can do to prevent more damage. He also taught me techniques of how to style and blow-dry my hair. Being a small business owner myself (Puppy University) spoke about small industries during the pandemic and watched the MAN go to work! It’s one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. A small gift bag as a first-time client was a nice touch! I also purchased some products that Enzo recommended as well. Overall, 5 Star service. Always tip your hairstylist well! Cheers!

Today was my first time at the salon, and honestly the worst haircut I’ve ever experienced. I came in with healthy, elbow-length hair that I’ve been growing for 9+ months and asked for a haircut that was mid-chest length in the front/bra line in the back, with long layers starting starting just above my shoulders so I could pull my hair back into a low ponytail or bun without flyaways in front. I repeatedly said that I am very low effort, only air dry my hair, and want something easy to manage since I’m giving birth soon-ish.I left with a haircut that looks like it’s been to a butcher: a choppy, angled cut just below my arm pit, with a face frame starting at, not even below, my chin, so short that my hair won’t even stay tucked behind my ears, in a ponytail, or in a clip half up/down. I am beyond disappointed and frustrated. More time was spent using a curling iron to style my hair into soft beach waves. While this might be important to some, I mentioned that I’ve only put heat on my hair twice since Covid began and styling it like this wasn’t necessary because I’m just hopping in a pool later, but the stylist said this part was more fun and more enjoyable than the actual haircut part. She should clearly stick to that. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I have been coming to Tony and Guy in Hoboken for years, when they were in Maxwell and now downtown. Dena has been coloring and highlighting my hair since 2018 and she is the best! I’m always getting complements and being asked who does my hair.And Darys has been cutting it all this time as well. He listens to what I want and let’s me know what will work best for me.I have nothing but high praise for this establishment…highly recommend you try it out.

These two are just sweet and down to earth wonderful women who understand that the time at a salon is precious and they make sure you walk out feeling beautiful inside and out. This review is for Ashley (stylist) and Kelsey (colorist). I first met Kelsey almost a year ago. I was her model in February 2020 and i went in with my previously box dyed hair hoping for a balayage. Kelsey really took her time, explaining to me that she was going to try to get me the lightest she could without damaging my hair. That is ALWAYS her priority. So, that first session she was able to get me down to a very wearable warm orange tone (NOT BRASSY) and told me to come back in a couple weeks to give my hair a break and then we would go lighter. I came back about two weeks later for my second appointment and Kelsey worked her magic, always taking her time, paying close attention to EVERY detail and after about 4 hours i was FINALLY blonde. My hair felt amazing, it looked amazing and i knew then and there that i had found my forever girl. Not to mention Kelsey is one of the SWEETEST people i have ever met, shes SO friendly, makes you feel so comfortable. That was my FIRST experience with Kelsey and i have been back to her three more times since, which brings me to the appointment i had yesterday. I LOVE going to see this woman. Not only is she beyond talented but she has also become a friend. Yesterday i told her i wanted to keep my darker roots and just bring the blonde back up around my face and in places all around to blend it so we essentially decided on a balayage. Towards the end of my appointment we decided to gray me out too which im REALLY happy we did. I NEVER leave disappointed after seeing Kelsey and my hair ALWAYS feels healthy. If youre looking for a colorist look no further i promise you will never go to anyone else again. She sat me down, APPALLED at how someone could let me leave their salon looking the way i did. My hair was blunt and choppy and she went in with her magic hands texturizing and softening my hair, while maintaining as much length as she could and by the time she was finished you wouldnt have known i had ever had a bad cut in the first place. she literally SAVED me. Im in love with my hair now. Its even, my layers look amazing and she was SO sweet and warm every step of the way. I had a fantastic experience with stylist Dan Ferretti at Toni & Guy (downtown Hoboken). The salon was both clean and professional, and very high end. I really valued their consultation process before and throughout my haircut. Dan was extremely detail oriented and made sure everything was exactly to my liking. Not only did he do an excellent job cutting my hair, but he also gave me great advice on how to take care and manage it moving forward. Dan is also very personable, so every haircut with him always includes fun conversation. Worth every single penny, would highly recommend Dan to friends and family for either men or women.

Went in for a fresh new color and cut and had an amazing experience with Kai, who colored my hair, and Viviana, who gave me a fresh cut. I was kind of muddled on what Exactly it was I wanted, but they were both very patient with me and gave me some options/ showed me some pictures to help me decide. I have a Lot of hair so getting my hair done is always somewhat of a chore but they both took their time and were very meticulous throughout the whole process. Literally best place in Hoboken for anything from blowouts to changing hair colors completely!! Ethan transformed me from a balayage Ive had for 5 years to a rich, dark brown with some cooler brown tones. Before I switch, I was a little hesitant, but Ive only been super obsessed with my new color! I walked in not knowing what I wanted and gave him full reign to have fun and show me how creative he could get. Nathaly hooked it up with the fire healthy seasonal trim and blow out. Wonderful experience. I had a balayage with Kelsey, who not only did an amazing job but she took the time to educate me on my hair, best ways to take care of it and most importantly didn’t rush my processing (we bleached) to damage my hair. We discussed my long term growth plan, aka - if we have another closed essential businesses, how do I want it to grow out. Finally, she listened to exactly what color or cool beige I wanted. The experience was 12/10 and I highly recommend her.Patrick did my blow out and honestly, I wish I had somewhere to go.

!!POOR COLORISTS/OWNER!!This place utterly destroyed my hair. I went in expecting a brunette balayage and to this day I have no idea what happened at this salon. I saw Tanya and the color came out awful. My hair was no longer brunette but an odd mix of red, gold and blonde tones. Not at all what I asked for or expected.Upset, my mom and I contacted the manager Enzo to explain my disappointment. Enzo insisted I come back for it to be fixed. Frankly, I didn’t want to return to the salon but I agreed.The correction appointment was less than a week after seeing Tanya. My hair was bleached again. Needless to say, this DESTROYED my hair. I lost about 6-8 inches of curly hair. It is apparent that stylists here are only used to accommodating bleach blonde guests (see other reviews that mention this also)I’ve since found a great colorist at Bangz salon in Montclair (Go to Natalie).I’m updating this review over a year later as my experience at Toni and guy was simply unacceptable.I strongly believe it is due to Enzo and how he deals with clients. You can see for yourself how he responds to guests.Take a look how badly my hair was destroyed, too.

Im simply obsessed with the cut Enzo and the color Kelsey gave me. They are true artists here and I always feel like I get a style perfectly made for me. After a year of looking for a good hair salon in Hoboken, finally found Toni and Guy and havent looked back since! I love the salon - super clean, great music and staff. For any blonde Kelsey is a color genius when it comes to getting the right tone and blending highlights for super natural dimension. And when it comes to cut, Ali has always done a phenomenal job and styles it great!

I called up to the front desk (as per instructions posted on the door downstairs due to COVID etc) and they told me I was clear to go on up. I took the stairs, but there IS an elevator. It was 2 or 3 flights up. I entered the salon and was greeted by two lovely masked front desk ladies, they checked me in, gave me a robe, and asked me to have a seat while I waited fro my colorist, Kelsey. Kelsey promptly came to the front and greeted me. I was referred to her by a friend who went from box dyed dark red hair, to beautiful blonde. I have had issues in the past with going blonde because my hair tends to pull orange/brassy and I had never been able to find anyone who could combat it successfully without causing EXTREME damage to my hair. Kelsey and I had discussed what I was looking for prior to my appointment day and I sent her photos of my desired outcome and what my hair presently looked like. The day of the appointment, we once again quickly reviewed photos and expectations and then she was OFF! Mixing away, foiling all over, painting strands in between. She was a great conversationalist, easy to talk to, but not OVERLY chatty (sometimes I get sleepy when people work on my hair) and if I stopped talking, she would just work in silence too lol. Kelsey was GREAT, very diligent, meticulous, detailed, and focused. At any other hair appointment I have ever had (at other salons) I have always felt rushed, but Kelsey really took her time and painstakingly gave (what felt like) every single strand of hair on my head individual attention. Overall the appointment took FIVE HOURS! It was a long time to sit but in the end it is the happiest I have EVER been with my hair. It was BETTER than anything I ever expected, it was the first time I ever walked out ACTUALLY lookin like the photo I presented, she freshened up an existing (grown out and super uneven) balayage I had gotten back in February (at another salon and HATED) and lightened my hair to a BEAUTIFUL NON-BRASSY blonde. The final step of my appointment was a glaze to treat and tone the hair and I walked out of the salon with the lightest blonde I have ever been AS WELL AS with hair that was the LEAST CRISPY it has ever been after bleaching. My hair actually didnt feel crispy, fried, or damaged AT ALL! My hair felt healthy and was shiny and soft and full of life. I also want to shout out the assistant who washed my head and applied the glaze, her name escapes me, but she was ALSO so sweet and funny! My entire experience, I never felt rushed or like I was on a conveyor belt, everyone really took their time with me and made me feel important. My ONE complaint (if you want to look at it that way) is that styling is NOT included in the price, BUT it was much less expensive than anywhere else I have ever gone for an ombre/balayage, so I guess it balanced out. They do provide a rough dry so that you get a better idea of the final color. As I checked out at the front desk, I asked about some products that Kelsey had mentioned during the appointment and they showed and explained all the products to me. It was NOT a pushy sales pitch at all, they just let me know what each product did and then I selected the ones I wanted and the rest went right back on the shelf. Ive never felt so UNPRESSURED about purchasing salon products. I walked out of the appointment feeling happier than I EVER have with any salon. Kelsey NAILED the color with absolutely zero damage. The blending between the blonde and my natural dark brown hair is so incredible, that even as it has grown out over the past two months, it still looks like it was just done today. I made sure Kelsey knew that one of my top priorities was that my hair needs to be low maintenance because as a single mom I cant afford the time or money of being a total blonde, and she absolutely delivered it. I was scared to get my hair dyed because of all the horrible experiences I’ve had at other salons. while I wasn’t looking to go to blonde I was looking to make my outgrown blonde to blend in with my natural hair. Kelsey was able to do this for me perfectly! I was so happy when I looked in the mirror I have never looked at my hair and said wow but with Kelsey and Allie I was able to get that wow moment after getting out of the salon, everyday I look at my hair and fall more in love with it. From breaking through the box dye on my hair to the trim and style I was happy with every moment I was in the salon! I recommend Kelsey and Allie constantly I am in love with my hair!

I absolutely love this place. Heather is an Excellent choice if youre looking for a beautiful blonde, or any gorgeous color for that matter. Not only she is kind and considerate, but she will make sure you get exactly what youre looking for. Never disappoints!

First time visiting this salon and everyone there was extremely kind and accommodating. I made an appointment for a full head of highlights and Jade did an absolutely amazing job. My hair looks so natural and not streaky at all. Brooke blow dried my hair after and did an excellent job as well. I will definitely be back!

I moved to Jersey three and a half years ago and have been told afraid to let anyone touch my hair, as I’ve been seeing the same person to do my hair for years. I saw Heather this past week and she is MAGIC. If you’re a blonde (or any hair color for that matter) I’d highly recommend her. I will be going back and I’m so happy to have found someone so talented!

Used to LOVE this place when it was uptown. Never had a bad haircut from the stylists there. I had a favorite but then she moved on and the salon relocated. I have been desperately trying to grow out a bad haircut and waited until I could come here to have it fixed. NOPE. Uneven, weird chunky layers that make no sense and bangs cut straight across like I’m Spock from Star Trek. The whole staff is lovely but maybe only go to see the top stylists who charge $200 ?!

I only have positive things to say about Toni&Guy. I started going when they were uptown Hoboken. Had great service and great stylists. When they moved to downtown, I found my current stylist. She does total concept styles which means she will do both services, cut and color. I have never been so happy with the way my hair looks.Everyone there is friendly and professional!

Just ok nothing to be excited about

I’ve lived in Hoboken for 3 years and FINALLY found my salon. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism and kindness. Both, the colorist and stylist took the time for a detailed consultation before proceeding with my color and cut. I’m usually really nervous and particular about my hair, but I left with exactly what I was looking for! I’ve received so many compliments on my hair color and cut. I highly recommend Jade and Enzo!

I was looking for a good hair salon in long time! I have very thick and long hair, this place is amazing, the service was great and the hair stylist was great. The hair stylist understood what I was looking for and did a fabulous job with my hair cut!

The team here is solid. I know its a hair salon but the management and operation is well carried out through out the store. All the hair stylist are very knowledgeable, but personally.. my favorite is Brooklyn. Started going to her and i found my stylist. No more searching. Dont be afraid to give them a try!!

Today was my first time at Toni & Guy in Hoboken. After 3 years of living in town and trying different salons, THIS is the BEST one hands down. I cannot express how professional and genuinely kind all of the employees are. I had a blonde balayage done by Kelsey and a cut by Nathaly. I’ve never left a salon feeling like “Wow, this is EXACTLY what I had wanted” until today. Those girls nailed it. I have really knotty hair and my shampoo girl took her time to get through all my crazy knots after the color process. Last but not least, I’m happy to pay up to get quality blonde. I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced the balayage was, taking into the consideration the quality of my visit. I cannot wait to come back!!!

I am so thankful that I have found my fairy hair god mother... Heather! Heather is THE go to person for blondes! She is so sweet, listens and always nails the color every time!!! Not extremely expensive and great staff who knows what they are doing. I had my haired colored and they had to bleach and color and still left my hair alive and thick, highly recommend this salon for all your haircutting and saloning needs.

I absolutely love the new place and location. Enzo did an amazing job with the new space from the placement of the hair dryers to the location of the hair wash. I especially love the massaging chairs while you get your shampoo. Its just extremely relaxing while getting an amazing haircut. Im HOOKED! Good luck T&Ghoboken!

For my first haircut, I was a hair model and Nathaly cut & styled my hair. I never ever felt so good after a haircut. A few weeks later I came back and got another cut. and I’m coming back this week!! Not only do I love my hair when i get out the salon, but i love the experience. Everyone is so nice and it makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable.Nathaly (@artistrybynathaly) really knows what to do with my hair and there’s no better feeling than knowing you’re in good hands. I feel so pretty leaving the salon! :-)

I LOVE the new location in downtown Hoboken. From top to bottom, everything is fresh, brand new, and high-end. The shampoo area has massage chairs and the hair driers hang from the ceiling. I love the new creative space!As always, the service is top notch. The staff members are super friendly and extremely talented - they know all the latest trends and pay attention to the details. I could not be happier with my experience and my hair!

This is the only place I’ll go. Enzo is the only person I’d let cut my hair. This man does magic with hair. He’ll leave me with a cut that grows out and gets me compliments 6 months later. Simply the best! You will absolutely love this place and the staff.

I’m the kind of guy who gets a $25 haircut (5 on the top 3 on the sides) every month. I never liked how it looked. Actually I genuinely disliked how it came out every time. Finally I said that’s enough—just had my consultation haircut w Enzo today. I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying my new haircut. I don’t have a lot of hair to work with but he knew exactly what to do... he knew what accentuated my head shape, and showed me how to style it. I just love the new cut it’s incredible what a difference it makes. Can’t stop checking it out in the mirror. Beautiful salon and excellent staff. Can’t recommend enough.
