Look, I have run many businesses and mistakes happen, I get that and understand it. Your front desk person obviously wasnt experienced and was totally confused. I am willing to give it a try next time around, just remember there are many Espositos around!
Recently moved to the area and was looking forward to my haircut here given all the positive reviews. All I can say is meh. Not the worst haircut I’ve gotten but far from the best. The barber seemed almost nervous or tentative to actually cut my hair which was weird. Don’t think I’ll be back
I started going to Yen for my haircut over three years ago when I moved to Hoboken. Since moving out of Hoboken last year, I still travel over 45 minutes every three weeks for a haircut with Yen which is a true testament to his professionalism and skills. Yen is a perfectionist. He always pays special attention to details and listens very attentively to my directions. Yen also provides great professional feedback/suggestions on how to best cut and style my hair. He takes into account every individual’s unique hair and growing patterns before offering cool styling suggestions. I ALWAYS leave Yen with a stylish haircut and a great fade. Yen is extremely friendly and a true gentleman.

ANOTHER Outrageous Price Hike ???Seriously, enough is enough. This place has gotten out of hand - just raising haircut prices yet another 25%, from $35 to $44, after already raising them last year. When asked about this, the owner defended the price hike, saying “the barbers got a raise”. Guess what: a raise is something paid for by the employer, not the customer ! I gave 40% tips, the $35 haircut I’d leave $15 - $50 total. Now, after multiple price hikes I say . . you lost yourself a customer that had been coming for years. And I promise I won’t be the only one. There are countless just as fine alternatives in town. Beat it !

I have been getting haircuts from Adam for almost 2 years now. Everyone is super friendly. They have good measures for covid. Every booth is separated by a glass/plastic separator, everyone is wearing masks. I would def. recommend this place. Book your appointment using their website or using genbook app, it painless.

My first visit was today and I was completely impressed. During COVID, this establishment has figured out the safest protocols. My stylist was JP and he did an amazing job with my hair which is a challenge to cut since it is curly/wavy. I simply showed him a photo of what I was looking for and after a few questions, he went to work. I was extremely happy with the result and have received a number of positive comments already. JP is not only a professional but a pleasure to speak with and I look forward to returning.

Ive been going to Hoboken Hair for Men Downtown for the last year and a half and will not get my hair cut at another place - Yens haircuts are a 10/10. If Im out of town and am in need of a haircut Ill wait until Im back just so Yen can keep working his magic. The Downtown location takes plenty of COVID precaution which is great. The best part about that is the precautions have not compromised the experience or quality of service. I would highly recommend Yen to anyone looking for a crisp and excellent haircut. Hoboken hair downtown is a tried and true haircut location with a proven track record of delivering good cuts. The owners are great people and the product is consistently solid.I wanted to take a second to give a shout out to one of the stylists who has been cutting my hair for over seven years. I have been going to Peter since I was in my mid 20’s (I’m now 30). I even moved into New York City for two years and deliberately came back across the river to Peter to get my haircut because nobody came close to providing the cut that he does. Peter doesn’t let you leave unless he’s comfortable with the cut he’s given you. He pays close attention to your hair and is detail oriented to the point where you feel extremely confident leaving afterwards. If I moved away from Hoboken again, I’d find ways to come back. They are the best haircuts I’ve ever received and I keep coming back spec because of the service. You all should do yourself a favor and book an appointment with him. I do warn you though.. after you’ve gotten a cut by him, nothing will compare quite as well.

I was able to walk in for a quick haircut and they were so welcoming! Not only did I have a great conversation with Debby but she also did a great job with my hair. Lastly it is actually reasonably priced with $35 for a women’s haircut versus $75-$80 at nearby salons.
Carmen is the best. Ive gotten multiple haircuts from her over the past year and every one of them has been fantastic. She takes the time to make sure everything is perfect before she is finished. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get his hair cut to have Carmen do it.

Ive been getting my hair cut by Peter for almost 3 years. Hes incredibly detail oriented and does an excellent job overall. Additionally, online booking works really well - Ive never had to wait more than a minute or two for a scheduled appointment.

Love this place. Best to book online. You can choose a specific hair dresser and time. Get there 10 minutes early. They are punctual! Which is a lot to say for a hair salon. My favorite is Carmen. She cuts your hair dry in order to see where everything falls. I researched her and found that shes excellent with curly hair. My daughter who has this mop of curls just loves her. Prices are good (for Hoboken) $20-35.
Had the worst possible haircut from a guy name Mark. I was a walk in and they possibly have the least competent guy to cut your hair. The side burns are an abomination and he completely missed doing over the ears for one side as in the picture. He lacked precision, was sloppy and overall gave me the worst possible haircut. AVOID

I got the haircut this weekend. To be honest, this was the worst experience ever. An old lady was my barber and she was mumbling the whole time. I didnt even know if she was talking to me or not. Also, she was very rude when cutting my hair and I had to tell her Could you be a little gentle please? Besides, the whole place was so crowded and shabby.If you want a decent service, DO NOT GO HERE!

Ive been getting my hair cut here for all 4 years Ive been in the city and I absolutely love it! Hoboken Hair is so detail-oriented and precise, it has been such a quality cut every time. The prices are very fair as well - almost didnt want to write this review so that demand doesnt drive their prices up but Hoboken Hair is too good - it needs to be shared. Definitely will be my hair place for as long as I live in NJ.

According to the price, it was great for a haircut. Although they did the job very well and didnt screw up my hair, the hair styling could have been better. If you are very particular about hair styling, you have to be a bit careful.

Dont go here, they dont know what they are doing. Cant follow simple instructions.Worst haircut ever. I showed him a photograph of what I wanted, gave him instructions from my previous barber, but he destroyed my hair and made me nearly bald. And then he argued about it endlessly. Extremely irresponsible behavior. Never going back there.Now I have to live with the shortest uneven hair with my scalp shown. Went to another barber immediately and they told me that its beyond repair now. My hair takes long to grow, will have to live with this for over a month now.
Ive gone here about three times within two years. So far Ive had a great experience. We talked about what kind of cut I wanted and was once asked to use a picture as a reference. Its done timely, I only really go when my hair really starts to grow out. Customer service is great and the barbers are great. Ill probably go back soon or after winter. Depending on how brutal the weather gets.
