The people here are always nice. If you dont mind paying SLIGHTLY above average prices youll get your moneys worth every time. When I have the money and no time to shop around I let these guys fix anything they find.

Very fast service. I live a few blocks down the road and by the time I reached my house, they called me saying my car is ready for pickup. I’ve never had that happen so fast and when they had several other cars ahead of mine.

I dropped my SUV off in the morning for an initial diagnostic of $99. I was ok with that as I was informed that it would go towards the cost of labor. A few hours later I received a call from the shop reporting that my car wouldnt start. Mind you, I have not had an issue with the car starting AT ALL! I asked well thats new, will you be able to diagnose why the car isnt starting. He said that I only authorized the shop for an 1 hour assessment of $99. In order to see why the car wasnt starting I would need to authorize a 2 hour assessment which was $190. I told them not to do anything, my husband will be there to pick up the car. My husband ask for the keys and immediately the car starts, no issue at all with the car starting. The worker had no response! I feel like they were trying to take advantage, hopefully not because Im a woman! I took it to another shop that was able to diagnosis the issue that I was having (free of charge) and resolved the issue the same day. Im very disappointed about the treatment here since they had such great reviews. Oh well...you live and you learn.

This was my first and last time coming to this company. The manager Ceaser is very unprofessional and has horrible customer service skills. They will fix your car and won’t provide any updates. Also, cause my car to have more damages and refused to let me speak with technicians to get a better understanding of what was completed.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP. We have two other shops that can assist with car that provides better customer service skills.

I had a slow leak. I needed peace of mind. A co-worker told me about Census Auto Repair. I arrived to the location as was greeted in such a warm and professional manner. The representative was thoughtful as he shared with me all possibilities.I received my call back to let me know my car was ready for pick up. I was thoroughly pleased with the integrity of the service.

I wasn’t sure at first and I often drove pass this location. The staff was very friendly and respectful. Everything was explained to me and the work was complete on time. And I was informed of any changes or additional work if needed. I would recommend.

Very professionalThey stayed in contact with me for any updates. They explained everything well. They seem very trustworthy. They definitely got the job done and I feel they were reasonable in price. My brother in law is a mechanic, but lives far. He gave me a ballpark of what I should expect and Census did as expected.

So in my original post (March 2019), I gave them 4 stars based on getting me in quick and what I thought was a reasonably inexpensive brake job. Fast forward to this past weekend (September 2019), I decide to change the oil and rotate the tires myself. Unfortunately, I cant get the front right tire off without the assistance of a hammer and pliers. To my surprise, the wheel stud is completely stripped (see attached picture) and I surmise that someone at this repair shop ran the lugs down without hand threading them first. To add insult to injury, I discovered the brake fluid needed to be replaced and they said nothing about it.

I think Census Auto the best shop around town they fixed my Tahoe in the day. They move fast and parts came in at the same day. they treat your vehicle like it’s there’s with fine love at the same time there prices are not high an easy to work with I love these guys and I’m coming back every time I need any problems with my vehicles....

Always a great experience when I take my car to the census auto. The staff are awesome.

I brought my car in to replace both front axles and both rear wheel bearings, along with diagnosing my check engine light. They finished the repairs quickly, and when I picked up my car it was driving like it was new!About a day or so later the check engine light came back on, I called them and they told me to bring it back in. They inspected the car again, at no additional cost, and discovered another part that needed to be replaced. The part came the next day and I brought the car back for it to be installed.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this shop! Tay and Cesar are very responsive and explain things clearly, mechanics do excellent work, and the prices are very fair. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality work done at a fair price.

You always will be satisfied with the service. They will put the parts on and not charge you for something they didnt do. Their customer service is so great. Just give them toy key and when you return you will be pleased. Most polite people I every dealed with.5 stars. I recommend this place.

My first visit was painless. Been in the area for 10 years but a first time visitor. My truck had an oil leak for a couple of years and I needed a diag to determine where the leak was. They identified the leak quickly for a very fair price and had me ready to go in 30 min. Fortunately, I have a family mechanic that performed the work for free. I will however return to Census for any future repairs needed by a very professional staff

I arrived on time for appointment. I have been here about 2 hours and presume this location only has one lift to do wheel alignments. I was advised that the Mercedes that’s been on the lift for the past 2 hours is taking longer than usual but some of the staff took time to play and kick a soccer ball around. Time is money. I hope this shop doesn’t waste any more of my time. Car on the lift less than 10 minutes but waste two of my hours.

I love the service at Census. The young men are professional, helpful and prices are fair. They also send out reminders to help me keep up with services I need to maintain the upkeep of my vehicle. I recommend them for your vehicle repairs and maintenance .

I have had my car for two years. I have been coming to Census auto since I had my car getting oil changes. Also they fixed another part on my car that was under warranty. They all are very nice and try to get you in and out. I have not had any bad experience as of yet but a small miss communication but it was fixed and my car was able to get the alignment. Gave a 4 star because the oil changes always take 1hr and 30 minutes even with an appointment. Never had to wait so long for a oil change. But other then that, I am a loyal customer and continue to stay that way .

Had problems with my car starting. I had called AAA to give me a jump and the technician told me my battery was good but had been drained because I left my lights on. However everytime I turned off the car lt wouldnt start. When I took the car to Census they realized the battery was very weak. They changed the battery and no every time I turn car off it starts up immediately when I try to restartTHANK YOU CENSUS.

Ill highly recommend census auto repair and sales to any and everyone this group of guys have the most upbeat and positive attitudes and are very helpful.I went into the shop to get an oil change and a tire rotation and there was a young guy at the front by the name of Tay who is very generous with answering all questions that were asked as professionally as possible.I decided to ask him a question about a shaking noise that I was hearing with my steering wheel and they were able to fix that for me with little to no cost it was a loose screwthat was needed to be tightened and I no longer have a shaking noise my OU has been changed my tires has been rotated in my vehicle is riding a really really nice.I wish that I was able to give them 10 stars but there are only five stars on the board. So guys if you are looking for good fast-paced service Census Auto is the place for you.

There customer service is good but I scheduled an appointment and still had to wait. They charge $35 a day if you have to leave your car overnight. They no longer let you bring tour own parts

I walked into Census Auto Repair thinking “am I in the right place? Surely Uhaul, who last minute changed my pickup location from DC wouldn’t mislead me”. I was greeted by Cesar, a quiet yet strong spirit, he informed me the truck I was renting was actually broken, classic Uhaul, but he had a van he could rent me. Cesar was a champ, he called 5 different useless Uhaul reps to switch the reservation. It took 1.5 hours but by god he did it. Thank you world, for giving us Cesar. Horrible!!! I actually want to go give them my review in person!!!! Dont go!! I pursued them in need of a tune up. 2 months later they hadnt even finished the small task of pricing a tune up. The person on the phone stated that he saw where I last called on the 2nd of March and that the mechanic was still in the process of pricing spark plugs. 22 days later. I never received call back from them. Im glad I didnt get work done with their lack of reliability and professionalism!

The worst service ever. My wife took her car in for a radiator leak and the they schedule her for 11:00 am. We brought the car in at 10:30 am. At 2:30 pm we havent heard from them. My wife called them and they still havent looked at the car. 30 mins later they called back and told us that before they could do anything, they must do a pressure check which will cost 49.99 plus labor which was 85.00 per hr. Its a leak!!!!!!!! It was still leaking on their parking lot. The only thing they had to do was put the car on a lift, and take a look. As far as Im concern, they were trying to make extra money. Plus, the person who claimed to be in charged, was very rude and unprofessional. I will not recommend them anyone. My rating is a negative 1000.

What a deceitfully horrible experience! I called last week to make an appointment to get a diagnostics for my car. I explained to the gentleman on the phone that I have a code reader at home, so I am not seeking someone who is going to attach a code reader to my car exclusively, but one that would look into what the cause of my problems was. The gentleman on the phone agreed and went into this whole dialogue about why you cannot solely rely on the code reader, etc., etc. After speaking with him, he appeared knowledgeable, I was comfortable, and I made an appointment for today May 19th at 9 am.Here is when things went wrong. I showed up at the shop this morning at 8:30 am to check in for my appointment. The gentleman whose work shirt said Tay, said he could not find an appointment for me in their system. Tay then asks me what the problems were with my car. I explained to him, that after I come to a complete stop and then accelerate it feels like my car hesitates. Tay said, are there any dashboard lights on in your car. I said, no. Tay said well how do you know it is your engine. I said, I never stated that it was my engine. I have no idea what the cause may be. Then Tay says, so what you are saying is when you start your car up, you think the engine shifts more than normal? I said I did not mention that. I never said it occurs when I start my car up; I said when I accelerate it feels like it hesitates after coming to a complete start. I also never said, I thought it was the engine because I do not know.Tay then says well if I put it on the machine and there are no lights on, the machine is going to pass it. I told Tay that I spoke to another gentleman on the phone and he said that a diagnostic included more than a coder reader and that I had a code reader at home. So there is no need to pay someone else for services that I can do myself at home. Tay said, okay and then started clicking someone on his computer. When he was finished, he looked up at me and said well I am not sure. If there are no lights on your dashboard, I do not understand why you would think it was your engine. At that point, Tay and Census could not do anything to service my car. I would not even feel comfortable with them washing and shining its tires.Dont take your car here! Not only is Tay the only personnel there this morning clearly knowledgeable of cars, but more importantly he lacks the basic comprehension skills to engage in simple dialogue. You are taking about the car hesitating after you accelerate and in his mind that translated to the engine shifting after you put the key in the engine. Beware, sub-par shop. I can see how you could go here looking for your tires to be rotated, and then they come back and tell you that your need a head gasket.

Prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for. The mechanics arent thorough when they give you a diagnostic and they dont tell you everything that needs to be fixed up front. Had to drop off parts one morning and was told the shop opened an hour before it did, which meant I had to risk being late for work due to poor communication and customer service on their part. 1/3 of a star as far as ratings.
