Would have been five stars...Mark, Andy and the crew are usually totally on top of things. Ive been going to Mark for nearly 20 years. Up until this spring theyve been, correct, efficient, and done it all at a fair price. This spring Ive had some off point diagnosis from them and its really cost me. Having said that Im back in their waiting room for an oil change. I will be getting a second opinion about major things in the future. But Ill be back.

DO NOT get your transmission fixed here!!! I repeat, DO NOT get your transmission fixed here!!! Had my transmission rebuilt here and it cost me $4000 and with a 1 yr warranty. In exactly 13mos my transmission goes out. Take it back there and they did absolutely nothing. Told me to take it somewhere else and get a transmission flush lol. So yes they do rebuild transmissions but it will only last as long as the warranty is good. Learn from my mistake. Take your transmission problems somewhere else.

I have followed this business A & B transmission where ever they have moved to Andy, and his brother Mark their other men who work there are awesome. I would recommend them. From transmissions to engines and just regular preventive maintenance on your car. For about 20 years Ive been very satisfied with their expertise.

I LOVE Andy & Mark!!! I have been going to them since 2005 or 6 when they were Bladensburg Rd in DC when they moved around I followed. I love going to them because they dont BS you. They know what they are doing and dont mess up your vehicle and try to cover it up. They work hard to try and get your vehicle back to you the same day if possible. They get an infinite number of stars in my book. Also, if they dont do whatever you need done they refer you to someone who does. And hes great too!!

Mark and Andy are great honest mechanics. Although their shop is focused on transmissions, they installed new struts and springs in one of my cars and diagnosed several codes on my older car.Id recommend this shop to anyone looking are an honest assessment and high quality work. I feel lucky to have found them.

I was recommended by Jose at Lees Auto (3315 8th St NE) after a diagnostic from them.The quoted amount was what I paid and the work was done the same day. It turns out my experience was not unique. Andy was my contact and he always answered his phone. Great service.Tip: This place is near the rear of the driveway. Drive further back to get to the business and enter near the garage.Fyi: the website on the card does not match this business.

I think I found my new repair shop. I received prompt service. Regular updates by phone. Instead of jumping to conclusions they tried everything they could to eliminate unnecessary expenses. The best experience Ive had in getting repairs.

This is the most honest place Ive ever been to. I thought I had a transmission problem, but they discovered the sound I was hearing was caused by an improperly installed fuel filter. They did not charge me for the diagnosis, and recommended I go back to my mechanic since the filter was brand new. Thats integrity, folks. Great experience!

I took my Toyota Celica in to A&B Transmissions to fix a grinding noise that i had been hearing when driving down the road. Andy, one of the mechanics who worked there showed me exactly what was wrong with the car and explained in detail to me what he needed to replace on my car. Andy, provided me with a very fair price to fix the issues on my car and once the parts were ordered Andy and his team of mechanics fixed my cars issues in just one day. I have been driving my car now for several weeks and the handling and the driving experience is a night and day difference. I will definitely be coming back to A&B Transmissions if my Toyota needs more work done in the future.

I give them zero stars actually. I called them requesting a quote, he asked me What is the make and model. Once I told them it was a 2009 Jaguar XF his reply was $4,700.00. I then said I didnt tell whats wrong with the car yet. It sounds racial which is confusing to me..... Anyways, thought I would share my experience with you all about A&B Transmission. I honestly believe he gave me that outrageous price because im black.

Ive been going to these guys for over 10years . Anywhere they go i go. I drive a hour to get to them. Never looking to make extra money off you. And wont take advantage of you because youre a woman. They explain and show you the problem. If the problem is small they will tell you what to do on your own so you can save money.
