Took my son to review constant ringing in the ear, and the visit was more than I anticipated. From check in - to check out, all staff were friendly and respectful to us. Each encounter was met with detail and explanation of what was happening, why it was happening, and we (my son) could expect.

VERY organized, helpful...just not fond of having a hearing test and seeing the doctor. Dr deNeff is wonderful, have seen her (when needed) since 2006.

My son has been here 3 times to get his tongue tie clipped. Each time the doctor refused and claimed that he was fine. My son’s primary doctor even recommended it because my son wasn’t gaining weight as a baby. I couldn’t even get him to latch on while I was breast feeding. My doctor eventually referred me to Charlotte ENT and they have been very awesome, LISTENED to my concerns, and agreed it need to be clipped.

My daughter had her tonsils removed a couple years ago. She has had swollen lymph nodes chronic sore throat and continues to be on antibiotics since they were removed. Not to mention she went back into surgery the night of cause she was bleeding from the surgery site because it did not get cauterized correctly. Here we are today 4-8-21one day post op from her repeat tonsillectomy. Apparently you can regrow tonsills if all the tissue and cells are not excised and removed. We have had to pay once again for another surgery full price. And with no apology. Dr Harrell was the one on call for the bleeding issue and he is the one doing the repeat and I have been pleased with him. However I would not recommend Dawn De Neef to anyone due to her inability to provide accurate care and her poor surgical skills .

Dr. Katz is great. He kept my daughter laughing and distracted while he looked in her ear during post op visit for a stuck tube removal. Shes extremely sensitive to someone messing with her ears. He was done looking before she figured out what was happening. I was impressed! The ladies at the reception desk were very nice as well.

Dr Dawn de Neef is the Best! Experienced with excellent bed side manner. She knows her field well.

The Dr I seen was new to me. However, the Dr is very nice to talk to and very patient during the visit. I liked the idea that they have Saturday office hours and I did go on a Saturday. I was the only person in the office at eleven thirty oclock AM. The nurse that day and the front counter lady was extremely nice and made you feel comfortable coming to see them.

This review is for hearing issues. I have have good experience with nose bleed care. Visit was to investigate ringing and noise causing hearing loss. Got a diagnosis of age and suggested a hearing aid. Requested a referral to Duke for independent opinion. They would not make the referral. Got my personal doctor to make the referral. At Duke, the hearing test was far more advanced and helped with diagnosis. Duke diagnosis included a chemistry issue and recommended that when this intermittentissue was worse, that I get a quick (same day) hearing test to verify diagnosis. Carolina ENT was not receptive to a prompt hearing test which leaves me to travel to Durham for the test. Appears to me that their goal is business - not flexible patient care. Tim Cline

They have been treating my hay-fever issues for the past couple of years. I used to be useless in the spring and fall. Now I have a life with minimal allergy issues. Staff is great - very friendly & professional.

I was Blessed enough to work for these amazing Physicians & can personally say that they truly care about their patients! They are focused on patient care & are extremely knowledgeable. I was not just an employee, but my baby girl was a patient.

Dr. Melon is honestly one of the best doctors Ive ever met. My husband is a patient of his and had a procedure done and 3 weeks out his nose started bleeding and with my husbands high blood pressure his nose did not want to stop bleeding. Not counting the times I called, This doctor saw my husband three times in one day and the last time he stayed after hours to take care of him and he did get the bleeding to stop. He was always patient with us an extremely nice. If you have to go here to see a doctor I highly recommend him. Im just saying. Great Doctor. And ladies hes really nice to look at! Really nice.

I go there for allergy shots. They are always on and very accommodating if something comes up that I have to change my appointment.

Dr Melon is the ultimate example of not caring by any doctor I have ever seen. Sent me home with head movements to move crystals in ear fluids. Nurse call 2 days later for update said she would talk with doctor and call me backWith instructions. I waited 2 days called and left a message for nurse to return my call, it has been a week and I have yet to hear from them. I will never return to this practice.

My visit with Dr Melon was very rewarding. The entire visit was pleasant with an entire staff of kind, and caring staff. I was welcomed immediately, my wait was very short and my audiologist tested my hearing with concern and explanation of the the test. Dr Melon was very personable, he listened to all my information, did appropriate office exams and took time to explain his finding and answer any further questions. He explained tests he was requesting and his staff arranged the tests. Dr Melon saw me quickly for a follow up and completely explained test results and why he thought I needed a referral to another specialist. I appreciate a physician that listens, is pleasant, explains and is honest. Thank you to Dr Melon and staff for your kindness and honesty.

Had to have one of my Parathyroid glands removed March 8, 2017. Dr. Melon was my surgeon. Dr. Melon explained everything to me in terms that I easily understood the first time. Dr. Melon has a great sense of humor and a great bed-side-manner. He told me that it could take from a couple of weeks to a couple of months to notice the effects of not having all that Calcium in my bloodstream. Within 10 days of surgery I woke up without that little black cloud that had been following me for the last 10 years. I am so glad that Dr. Melon was able to remove it without any difficulty and was back home is just a couple of hours after surgery. I will recommend Dr. Melon and the Carolina Ear, Nose & Throat to anyone who is looking for that specialty, they are wonderful. The office staff and support staff are very friendly and took good care of me as well.

Dr. Harrell is an outstanding physician!! I feel that he truly cares about his patients and their well-being and quality of life. I always have a smile on my face when my appointment is over. Also, Ive always felt comfortable talking to him. Hes a good listener. I know that if I keep smoking, there will come a day when nobody will be able to save me! Not even Dr Harrell, but,I cant let cigs take me from the best most loving and supportive families in the world. They mean too much to me and I love them very much!! Thats why I have decided to quit smoking today! For good!!

My experience was great..the girls up front were all nice and helpful.Dr Hendricker listened to my concern and was very nice and helpful. He found my issue what he thought was the problem and had me do this and that.. ask me to come back in 2 weeks for a follow up and my taste and smell was back.... I really feel I came to the right place and seen this great Dr. Id recommend him to anyone . I must add ..my appointment was on time and I was asked if I had any questions during both my appointments. The whole experience was great. Couldnt ask for a better experience or better Dr.. As a patient for many years of Dr.Seschul and the allergy dept I am very pleased with the patient care I have received. I am greeted when I walk in to the allergy dept by the sweetest lady with a smile every week. I have had only one time that someone has been rude to me in the allergy dept and I feel that was taken care of now. I was called by Lynn and was given an apology for the way the I was treated and I dont think it will happen again. I am greeted when I leave as well from all the staff. I will tell everyone I know that I LOVE my Dr. and his staff.

Love the staff and their willingness to help me in a timely manner. Dr. Melon did a total thyroidectomy on me in July and was very kind and explained exactly what he would be doing and calmed all my fears. I was treated like a person not a number. Lynn has been very helpful to me by working around my husbands work schedule and follow up appointments. The office is clean and relaxing. Great overall experience. I moved to Hickory 9 months ago and needed a new ENT doctor. Luckily I found Dr. Hendricker! First of all, his front office is amazing! Whether over the phone or at the check-in desk, these employees are the best. I like their soft voices, respect for privacy, their professionalism and best of all: they keep things on time. If you register online and get there about 10 minutes before your appointment, there is no wait. And I have been there at least 4 -5 times with the same good experience. Dr. H is great. He always greets me with a smile and a hand shake and ALWAYS asks, questions? And he has time to listen! Dr Cost did our granddaughters tonsils and did a good job but when we went back because she was having some complications and we saw Dr Jarrett, he had the worst bedside manner. He came in the room without looking at her and said what do you want me to do. He kept saying it is normal for 2 weeks and if she didnt eat at all it would be OK. He didnt even do surgery on anyone who couldnt afford to lose 30lbs and so on. My daughter-in-law was concerned for her child which is normal under the circumstances and he had no empathy what so ever. The worst Dr I think I have ever seen. Also the bathrooms were disgusting!!

We were very satisfied with Dr. Melon when he performed sinus surgery on my son. He explained the procedure to us while we were in the office. Before surgery, he talked with us again and asked if we had any questions. He didnt seem rushed during our visits or before surgery. We were very pleased with my sons results after surgery. When another one of my sons began having the same sinus issues, we returned to Dr. Melon who performed the same surgery on him. I would highly recommend Dr. Melon and his friendly staff!

Dr. Bill Jarret is been my doctor for the last 10 years. He has don’t plenty of procedures and time with me and I want to take my time to say how much I do appreciate all the great work he do. Dr Jarrett and his staff are wonderful. At 51 I finally had tubes placed in my ears. They called the day after to check on me, which I really appreciated. There was a tiny issue with my billing and his staff were so wonderful in resolving the issue very quickly. I will definitely refer everyone to Dr. Jarrett and his staff.

My daughter is an athlete and had broken her nose twice within 2 months. Her right side of her nose was totally blocked and she was very nervous about getting it fixed. We met with Dr Melon and he discussed the procedure with us very clearly in an easy to understand manner. The surgery went exceptionally well and my daughter could breathe through her nose within a few days of having the surgery. Her recovery was easy and you couldnt even tell she had undergone a procedure. There was minimal swelling and no black eyes as promised. Dr. Melon spoke directly to my daughter and put her at ease. The office staff was great and treated us like we were friends, not a patient. Lynn Myer spoke with my daughter and I and really helped to waylay any fears we might have had. I would highly recommend Carolina ENT. They will take good care of you and your family.

I have been going to Carolina Ear Nose and Throat for around 7 or so years now. Dr. Jarrett is a great doctor and is very kind. I have had great results with coming here and getting my shots. They have helped me tremendously. Before coming here I was bothered with my allergies 6 to 7 times a year for weeks at a time. The shots and allergy medicine are still working for me. I hated the way I felt before I started my shots. I dont ever want to feel that way again. Im scared to even think about stopping my shots because I dont want to feel bad again. The whole staff is very kind. I thank Dr. Jarrett so very much for helping me to feel better. This is a great place to go. Thank You all so much for everything you do to make people feel better. Yall are the BEST!!!!

Dr. Cost was excellent! She was so sweet to my infant son. She was calm, caring and patient toward him and my husband and I. She explained everything to us thoroughly and always seemed to have mysons best interest at heart. The day of surgery she came and talked to all of us, she explained the procedure and then immediately after she spoke to us and kept us calm and informed! A member of our family was recently seen by Dr. Melon. The front desk people were cordial and efficient, and we were seen on schedule. I trust Dr. Mauldins ability as a physician for my family. Hes very knowledgeable and professional plus he takes the time to listen to you and then to explain everything fully. He puts patient care and well being first and goes the extra mile for his patients. I would highly recommend him for your family. I had a suspected parathyroid tumor and was referred to Dr. Seshul at Carolina Ear Nose and Throat Head and Neck Surgery in Hickory, NC. I cannot express reassuring he was during my initial appointment but also as I underwent testing to confirm the diagnosis. This lead to having surgery to have the tumor removed. I was confident in his skill, and knowledge. He successfully removed the tumor through an incision at the base of my neck. The scar could have been very noticeable but he did a fabulous job putting the incision in a natural line, and gave me excellent care instructions. Subsequently, I have a scar that most people cannot see unless it is pointed out to them!! All things considered it was a great experience.

As a person who has suffered with ear issues my whole life...I was apprehensive about finding a doctor in Hickory that would measure up to my doctor of 45 years in Virginia. I am very happy to say that I have found a doctor. that meets all of my criteria and has a lovely staff as well. Dr. Melon was very knowledgeable about my problem, had several solutions to offer and I felt that he really did care about trying to help me. The option we agreed on was successful and I will not hesitate to return for any future issues. I will also recommend him to my friends and acquaintances without hesitation.

I gave 1 star because 0 wasnt an option. I was in an auto accident and told to consult a specialist by 2 ERs. The dr spent less than 15 mns with me. He asked questions but never let me finish a response. He said that i should see a neurologist. When i asked his office to send a referral i got the run around and they basically refused saying i should get one from the auto ins...??? They DO NOT return calls. And are rude on the telephone. I will say that the girls tgat answer the phone during lunch are pleasant and try to be helpful. I would NEVER suggest visiting this office.

This place really cares about people the nurses are awesome .i wish i knew all there names .i had a nose bleed for over 24 hours .they took me in as soon as i got there went to work on me,got the blood slowed down.then Dr Ryan M. Hendricker came in and fixed the bleed so every one knows i am on oxygen 24/7 have been for 8 years now. Thanks to all that helped fix my nose Carolina Ear, Nose & Throat In Hickory, NC are the best in medical care.

Beware of this office. They keep your credit card on file and charge it whenever they feel like it without any warning or authorizations. No statement, no phone call. Their billing dept. is the worst in customer service. They do not care about you, they just want their money. I have never left a bad review about a doctors office, but this one; has by far; rubbed me the wrong way.

Lynn with Patient Advocate Coordinator called today and is in the process of taking care of the issues we were having. She was very nice and apologetic and thorough. She made phone calls to resolve the issues and she called back this morning within an hour. And she is to call us back later today with advising the next steps to diagnosing my husbands sickness. She was very polite and I am satisfied with the outcome.

I want to start out by saying I wasnt at all pleased the first visit, however I am very happy I gave this practice a second chance! The sinus issues I am having seems all to common but Dr. Seshal is determined to fix it. I like the office staff pretty well, most all smile a lot but Lynne stands out - awesome customer service, great listener and generally cares about each patient. Id recommend seeing them!

The Dr Melon was awesome solved my sons problem on the initial visit. If I was reviewing just him 5 stars but the practice contacting you with test results and returning your calls they seem to not care.

I have always been pleased with Dr. Seschul.Im not sure how long I have been seeing him but my allergy symptoms are so much better.I have recommended him to my family members and now two of my children and grandson are patients of his. He is professional and respectful every visit.

Refusal to help peopleWRONG!

I went into your office with almost no hearing in my left ear. After the hearing test, this was confirmed. I saw Dr. Melon and he said the only thing that could be done was large doses of steroids. I can not take large doses so he said he could give me a shot of steroids in my left ear. I said lets give that a try. I went back two weeks later with almost total hearing in my ear. Dr. Melon was great treating me this way. I highly recommend this procedure. I HAVE MY HEARING BACK! Thanks Dr. Melon.

I went to see Dr. Jarrett at Carolina Ear, Nose & Throat Head and Neck Surgery Center in Hickory, NC. I couldnt breathe out of my left nostril, wasnt sleeping and waking myself up from snoring. Come to find out I had a really bad deviated septum and nasal obstruction. Dr. William Jarrett performed surgery to fix my nose in September. He was very professional and did a fantastic job. I feel like a new person being able to breathe and sleeping better already. I would definitely recommend Dr. Jarrett to my friends and family.

I chose Carolina ear nose and throat in Hickory because of the good reviews. My son had to have tubes put in his Ears and taken out. It was worth driving an hour for a good Dr. Dr Seshul and his staff are amazing. I would highly recommend them any time!

Ive been dealing with a bad fungal infection in my ear and perforated eardrum, Ive been to other doctors and they kept treating with antibiotics that wasnt touching the situation, because it was a fungal infection . I was sent to Dr. Willard Harrill he took one look diagnosed and been treating it. He is the only one that has helped me I live in Michigan and I drove all the way to hickory North Carolina to see him and to get my ear repaired. I highly recommend him as an ENT he is amazing and worth his weight in gold!!!! His bedside manners and disposition are amazing as well very professional and makes you feel right at home. And thats very comforting when you live out of state and dont know who youre going to, he along with his staff are absolutely amazing!!!!!

Dr. William Jarrett is the thyroid specialist that I am grateful I was referred to when I had a lump on my neck. He didnt waste any time focusing on the thyroid, which did turn out to be cancer. Within two months, I had my thyroid removed, a CT scan, radiation completed, and now am on the road to recovery. Dr. Jarretts staff was exceptional! I didnt know the process or what to expect and they led me the whole way. Dr. Jarrett talked with me thoroughly during my appointments and his staff called me often just to check up on me. Ill always remember how sensitive they were during my difficult time.

Dr. Dawn De Neef is the absolute best physician Ive been to see in years. I appreciate the care all my doctors provide. Dr. De Neef puts forth extra effort to listen to what Im telling her, asks questions to clarify her understanding, then gives advice which makes sense. The staff from check-in to check-out were pleasant and helpful, too. Its refreshing to be listened to and cared about by everyone in a doctors office. They were busy, but didnt allow that to detract from their personal attention.

Doctors and nurses are wonderful, but there were issues in communication among office staff about my daughters surgery. My daughter surgery requires pre-certification. However, there patient advocate Lynn has been amazing at sorting out the issue. She has stayed in touch with me every step of the way. So, if you ever have issue Lynn does a great job at sorting these out quickly and effectively.Another issue. Now we are having issues with the billing office. They are trying to charge us twice for the same things we were told we already paid for. I love the doctors and healthcare providers but keep having issues on the clerical side. I have never had these type of issues at other offices

Dr Mauldin had to remove a small tumor in my lip. Trip was quick and reasonably painless. No long wait and very courteous staff. Very professional. Would definitely use again.

Today I saw one of my favorite doctors, Jamie Cost! First, let me preface this with saying I am not getting paid to write this review! I have been a patient of dr. Cost since she joined Carolina ear nose and throat. I have not always been pleased with my care in the allergy clinic, but I have always been more than pleased with the care that I have been given by doctor Cost. There is nothing more important than to know that your doctor is listening to you and taking your needs and concerns seriously. If youre searching for a doctor with these qualifications along with a sense of humor and a kind heart, search no further. In a hectic life, a community where we have choices of doctors and Allergy practices, I would not go to another allergist! Dr. Jamie Cost keeps me healthy, happy, and during my visits often entertained as well. Her smile, her kindness, and her willingness to listen is unmatched. I just wanted to say thanks.
