We just picked up our bed and were told a new story of why it was late. We were told a new story of why they sold the floor model of the bed to someone else. We picked our bed up and brought it home to find out it is the completely wrong bed! It is the wrong size and just a completely different bed than what we ordered! We had to return the box springs they loaned us so our new mattress wouldn’t be on the floor. Now our mattress is on the floor and still do not have a bed that was supposed to be here in December!! Evidently some people here do not know how to verify their orders. I am going to attempt to return every piece of the bedroom set and go somewhere else. Absolutely the worst place we have ever done business with.

The absolute WORST shopping experience Ive ever had. In store, Karen was great but once we spent multiple thousands of dollars on a single piece of furniture and walked out of the store - I have to assume we were forgotten about completely.We were quoted 6 weeks for delivery. Its been almost 6 months. I completely understand manufacturing and things get delayed but thats where communication comes in. We were not called, even once, without first reaching out to them for updates. Keep in mind we werent pestering them for delivery, we always gave them a week OVER the time they quoted us before reaching out in hopes they would take some initiative and contact us.- 6 weeks turns into 6 months- At 7 weeks in, we call to ask and were told itll be 6 more weeks- 7 weeks later, we call again to ask and were told itll be 2 more weeks- We wait 3.5 more weeks and reach out to them and were told they have the furniture (this was this past wed.).. We werent called!?- Were told Wed. evening theyll call to schedule delivery targeting this weekend. Sounds great..- They call at 6:30pm yesterday (Thursday) and inform us theyre delivering the furniture today (Friday) at 8am. WHAT!?- Cant be cancelled, its loaded on the truck already..Im writing this at 6:30am today (Friday) because I have some extra time on my hands, Ive taken half a day off work and cancelled meetings to be home for this impromptu delivery. Unbelievably horrible experience dealing with this company and the staff over the phone. Not only do we feel this experience has been the polar opposite of pleasant, Ive actually lost money taking time off work and cancelling meetings the day of at 6am because of all this.At this point were not even going to reach back out to them since theyve wasted enough of our time, theyre rude and we feel that nothing would come of it anyway. Avoid our mistakes, avoid this store and its partners Heritage Furniture Outlet.

Great shopping trip. Beth was an amazing help and we did not come home empty handed.We meant with the owner of the company and had a delightful conversation.Very genuine and look forward to our next shopping excursion.Janie

Karen was wonderful! My husband and I came to Hickory with a 3 day mission to furnish a house we have been renovating for 3 years. While we had a mission we didn’t have a clue and she walked us through the purchase of practical key pieces and investment accents. She was patient, funny and honest and if she is ever up North she has an open invitation to visit and sit on the fine furniture she helped select!

Karen Fulbright was absolutely amazing helping us pick out the perfect furniture. With all the great choices Southern Style has to offer she made sure we got the best product for our young family of 5. We will definitely be back to Southern Style at the Hickory Furniture Mart and to visit Karen!

This was my first time at the furniture mart. I bought eight pieces of furniture with one place being southern style furniture. Very pleasant and easy experience. Sales people were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and would go back to buy more furniture.

Love this store! Patsy is just plain wonderful. She is extremely helpful, knows her inventory and listens to what youre looking for and makes appropriate suggestions.

Patsy was very attentive to our needs, not pushy but efficient. Appreciate all her effort in helping us get exactly what we had in mind. Cant comment on delivery as we havent gotten to that point in the process but Patsy was helpful in getting the paperwork in to consolidate shipment with other sellers.
