I love this place. I always find everything I’m looking for and love their prices. Their private label items are top notch quality. I strongly recommend. Try it out. Instead of running around to 3 different SUPERMARKETS to find everything you need. 👍🏻

I love this place. At a walking distance from my friend’s place. You can find almost everything item here.They have everything aligned in separate aisles. They have nice wine collection too and frozen section is amazing.This place stays open till midnight everyday and has a really large parking lot.

This Giant Food is very convenient for me. I can easily walk there and Satheria is a professional cashier who deserves a raise. I receive $50.00 Giant Food Gift Cards from Britepaths and they have pretty good selections. However, I think they need more cashiers to ring customers up due to long lines at Self-Checkout and the standard checkout lines. They have a nicer rewards program for my Bonus Card than Harris Teeter or Food Lion.

After years of visiting Giant with my family, my experience today was the worst and I will file a lawsuit. Stay away from this particular location if you can, especially as a person of color. I have always used debt cards to purchase whatever I can afford. After shopping today I decided to buy money order for our rent if the machine is not broken even though I could go to 7 Even in within the same location. A customer service rep asked me to prove that my debt cards are my debts cards even though I have entered my pin for a total of $1200 and the transaction went through without any issues. The order rep stated that someone uses their mother’s debt card the other day. I am a man with 5 children with a family, so I asked why used someone else debt card as a fully employed software engineer? She said it’s their policy to ask about debt transactions, which was shocking to me. This white lady automatically assumed I am using someone else cards as a black man. I showed her my cards and told her to void the transactions, I will take my business elsewhere and sue Giant for discrimination and profiling. We ask for identification for credit cards not debt cards, because she didn’t anyone else but me. Moreover, I didn’t see anywhere on the door or in writing that Giant can ask me to show them all my debts cards as prove while using my own debt card. I will make it my mission to correct this from happening to anyone else, also use all and every platform to expose such a terrible practices. Black are different, don’t assume for everyone, Giant must train their associates well. I worked as retail manager for 10 years, and I know how difficult it can be to prevent fraud but don’t assume otherwise make your policies very clear. There are other businesses I can always take my business to if your policies don’t match my taste…..

Typical GIANT Store, clean and well stocked with the exception of the Martini & Rossi White (sweet) Vermouth which was the reason I went there.

Nice, clean, smaller store compared to other Giant locations. I usually come here for mark down meat and seafood, hot lunch, or lottery tickets. This place usually mark down their meat and seafood by 50%, 2 days before expiry date. I get to eat alot of steak or seafood meals for 1/2 the normal cost. I also enjoy their hot lunch section, which is best to go around noon. However their selections is limited to repetitive dishes such as wings, Mac n cheese, fries, potato wedges, fried rice, noodles, tandoori chicken, baked chicken, ect. They also have cold sandwiches and sushi section, which is just ok.I usually dont buy fruits or vegetables here so I cant comment. Their nonperishable sections and households items seem adequately stocked. However, their OTC section is the most pathetic Ive ever seen, theres literally no commonly used items available, just empty spaces. If youre looking for cough/cold meds or just basic hydrocortisone or bandages, dont even bother to make a trip here, they have none of it!

Have better pricing & offers than other stores around us like Harris Teeter, Food Lion etc & in few categories it beats even Walmart.Has efficient self checkout system.I usually buy vegetables, fruits, milk, bread etc from here.

My88 year old mother purchased a lottery scratch ticket from this store. She scanned the ticket as she normally does at all other stores and it stated that she won $50.00. It was her birthday and it made her extremely happy but, when she told the cashier she won, he stated that he could not cash the ticket in and referred her to customer service. We went to customer service and a middle eastern man in his 50s stated that the customer service was closed and to try tomorrow or go to a 7-11. We drove two miles away where the ticket was scanned and the cashier and manager stated that the ticket was paid out and invalid. We went to the female manager and reported that something was wrong to discover that the store manager had taken the receipt my mother left at the vending machine and cashed the ticket in for herself. This thief told my mother, play at your own risk and laughed after stealing her $50.00 ticket. This place is corrupt. Beware. They also sell old meat.

Bought some lamb shoulder and even after trimming the fat after roast the lamb had horrible fatty /gamey taste..Please save yourself and dont buy lamb here ...

The store was clean, not too many shoppers, and the staff was very friendly. One young lady was a front end manager and helped me when a lottery ticket got stuck in the lottery machine. She was friendly, polite, and helped me very fast. Great store...its too bad I dont live closer, or this might be my main grocery store!

I have to give this place a low star just do to the attitude of the customer service. They have a good selection and ok pricing however very unfriendly toward customers. I hope that they can fix this problem soon.

This Giant at the clock tower moved from Herndon were it was somehow affordable. At this location it was made fancy and has good illumination, but the prices are high. Not a big difference between Safeway, which is another 3 to 4 dollars overpriced supermarket.Clean, nice attendants, parking lot accessible. Good to go for sales or in a rush for last minute needs.

Usually Giant is top notch.. today the presliced fruit packaging was sticky and they were out of my holiday coffee creamer. Otherwise it was very pleasant.

Not bad. Pricing is a bit high but nothing outlandish depending on what you are buying. Always check the dates for bakery goods. I bought cookies that had a bake date of the 8th, on the 14th 🤮

I shop in giant for 6years I never met this poor customer service. I Was in self check out Apple was around $5 but it charged me $11... I ask help to Jakie. She say put the code and left I don’t know what she meant I ask her again she yell at me saying you put it or you want me to put it with a tone and rude attitude I ask her why are you in a bad mood. She didn’t answer she walk away.She call for manager I didn’t ask for manager But I told him he apologized for her.But I feel like She should do something that feet her personality if you find one with that attitude it’s not feet for customer service. I feel disrespected Because I ask help I thought that’s why they there to help with the checkout machine.

Food and supplies always stocked. Clean store. AVOID SELF CHECK OUT! Machine will yell at you, no volume adjustment. 👍Decent prices. A bit more expensive than local competitors. Nice variety and choice of brands.

I love that I can pick up a scanner by the entrance and bag my groceries as I shop. It makes checking out quick and easy. (You do have to register at the customer service desk the first time to have this option.)The staff is friendly and helpful.

Yeah this is my favorite Giant. Ive been to a lot of grocery stores in my time and this one is one of the best in its tier. It is huge, fully stocked, bright, and clean. The bakery, salad bar and hot food bar are well maintained. Nothing but great things to say here.

New big location has everything youd expect a supermarket to have. I pass two other stores because this is one stop shopping.

Mislabels items as on sale and then tries to tell you they arent actually on sale and will only remove the items if you demand to speak to management. Never going back there again.

The usual Giant experience - excellent quality and selection.

This place is clearly trying to cater to rich people and if youre a peasant like me good luck trying to get good service. I wanted to get some of their cold chicken wings and I asked them if they could microwave them for me in the deli but they refused to do it even though other giants in the area have been happy to do so in the past. I went to the 7 eleven nearby and the manager told me it would be OK to do so even though if was from somewhere else.

I love giant! And I hate they moved from elden st it was so close tk my house! I could literally walk from home to the elden store no I have to come all the way down here to do my grocery shopping! 😔 But I still love giant tho dont get me wrong this location is bigger and more organized than the other one and the pharmacy hours are different too!!

Went to two other local chain stores. Could only find the IcyHot Smart RELIEF Tens Therapy pads here at Giant Food on Elden St.

Much cleaner than previous location. Prices and selections better than Safeway for most items. I only ever have difficulty in the fruit section where it can be difficult to find unbruised bananas, a box of strawberries where all look fresh. Those are the two items I buy most frequently in that section. The people who work there (cashiers and stock people) are very kind and helpful. This Giant is my favorite place to grocery shop.

Right around the corner there are two other stores who got same vegetables but fresher and some half the price at this Giant. Everything in this store is priced too high and they put Avacados for a dollar after they have gone bad.They need to manage it better.

I am giving this Giant 3 stars because one time I purchased regular fruit juice. One day I went to pour some in my glass and saw it had been expired since March 2018 and I bought it in May 2018. I was shocked because this has never happened before, in particular at this Giant location. I took it back and they were nice enough to give 2 free bottles but I didnt want free juice, I just wanted to make sure it doesnt happen with anyone again or me. Otherwise, this a great place for daily groceries and fruits/vegetables are usually great.

Not a fan of many supermarkets, but this particular Giant is super. A great selection of prepared foods, sushi, wine, beer and bakery items. And best of all, the people working there are fantastic.

I give this a 3 stars cause I am hoping it will coordinates staffs and friendliness and structure of business. I do shop HERE regularly. There are Plenty room for improvements. For goodness sake you guys just moved down from down Eldon St. location. May I say that customers and like me bring business and long run loyalty to your establishment/company. Oh!! May I also add that CLEANLINESS can also be of attention. But mostly customer services is horrible .

Helpful associates fast checkout

I wanted to check out this new Giant. Everyone there was pretty friendly. I went with a specific recipe and the girl helped me find some of the ingredients. She didnt just point in a direction and go back to what she was doing, she actually walked me there which is rare for me when I ask where something is located.

Clean place and the staff is friendly

Im only an annual visitor to this area but Giant is the only supermarket around here that reminds me of supermarkets in my home area and feels comfortable to me. Giant has reasonable prices, sale items I can use, and no overemphasis on pretentious organic products. Shoppers was the same way too but unfortunately, their Herndon location has shut down and thats why I had to try other supermarkets. Not sure how the service is since I was able to find what I needed quickly and I used the self-checkout, but products were arranged neatly and the store was clean, so theres that. Parking was easy too, even in the mid-afternoon on the weekend, when I guess this shopping center would be busiest.

Very clean store and has traditional supermarket items. I come usually for lunch in their kitchen section and its amazing! Sushi (made in store and can take orders for specific dishes too), hot foods, salad bar, and the 5 dollar fried chicken all taste pretty good and are a good deal too.

Nice place for bakery food, can get salad here. We can prepare our own salad. Can get good Fruits, flowers and groceries from here.

Most of the items and customer service providers are good, but avocado quality is low. I hope you have to improve the quality of avocado by bringing a fresh one.

Best store on elden st. Clean and huge. You will get all your house hold items here. Other best thing is, its close to so many other stores and in the middle of the city.

Why 1 star? Because this store is dishonest. Just about every item I purchase that is SUPPOSED TO BE ON SALE, rings up wrong IN GIANTS FAVOR. I know its not an accident. I wanted to purchase $300 American Express gift card for a family member that graduated from college. The store manager instructed the clerk that I was to pay using debit function on my debit card. I asked the store manager why I had to pay using debit. He just repeated that if I wanted to add $300 dollars to the gift card, it had to be done using the debit payment method. Having previously bought gift cards for even larger amounts from store 773, I have never encountered any circumstances or been told that I was to pay using debit function on my debit card. What was distinctively different in this occasion was that I was wearing a cap, shorts, sunglasses, and a soccer jersey. In most occasions, I go to the store directly from work wearing my business attire.I cannot put into words the humiliation, disrespect, and outrage I felt being a devoted Giant shopper for over 25 years. What became blatantly clear (via racial profiling) was that the store manager deemed that I may have been using stolen debit card. Thus, he felt the need to enforce the requirement that I (not other shoppers) use the debit payment method for purchases totaling $375 dollars.My advice, avoid this store if you want to be treated with dignity and respect.

Theres a bunch of creeps around here following women, homeless people begging for money, and racists that cant keep their eyes or judgmental looks to themselves. theres nothing that can really help this, but it does deter the experience here. otherwise its a clean store and the employees are nice. we forgot a bag at self checkout and they brought it out to us. we love the natural, vegan isle they have.

Giants are the best places to shop. They price is high but quality is good. It is one of my favorite grocery stores for 40 yr.

So I got 48 avocados this morning from this store and took them to cashier who knew me that I buy all the time and had counted them on my first couple of visits. While I was waiting for her to finish ringing me up, this store manager passes through and instead of giving me welcoming smile, gives me a suspicious look. By this time cashier had finished with my stuff and I had made the payment. I saw her looking behind me and trying to understand what was being conveyed to her in sign language. She proceeds to ask me if she could count the avocados. I said sure, but knew that this manager had told her to count. This made me really upset, I dont steal!!!!I dont mind him coming over to me and politely ask if he could count but to tell cashier behind my back to count? Apparently he is not taught anything about Customer Service.I was buying 48-80 avocados on a weekly basis but now Ill take my business elsewhere even if I have to pay more.

I shop here every week. Nicely laid out. Not too big. Usually easy to find what you are looking for. Produce section is pretty good, actually. No bakery but there is a deli counter.

Me as a vegan can tell you all that this place has a lot of vegan products that are unique. I am glad this is a great place to get quick groceries near my home.
