OKAY, TAKE THIS REVIEW AS AN ULTIMATE RED FLAG. Stay. Away. From. This. Store. They sell stuff for 10X prices and seem so casual about not labelling the price on any products. How are you still in business? Please stop scamming innocent people.
All indian Groceries and indian snacks in one place you will find... I love this store...
Will request the owners to replace the staff with someone who is well trained and can do some mental maths. Who knows how to operate the register and scan the correct items. Refund the money if they make mistakes in scanning items.
Can say this is a terrible grocery store, that’s mainly coz of- extremely poor customer service/handling by THE LADY and all her staff. she thinks that you can buy stuff and after you go home, if you find that the product is already expired or just about to expire its absolutely no big deal to go back to the store and report them about the product expiration and/or swap it with another just about to expire product as if customers have nothing else to do- And they are TERRIBLE about the return policy.. (even for the expired products)- THE LADY also likes to turn a conversation (if you ask about the price, or say bread has fungus or veggies aren’t fresh etc.) into an argument- quality of products (products are about to expire or have already expired),- They don’t keep any price tag on the products (not sure for what reason).List is long and I feel this review isn’t going to make any difference in owner’s attitude but hope customers can be a bit careful when they go to the store. There are plenty of better indian grocery stores around (better pricing, products, policy and friendly service)
I wanted to buy some groceries urgently and thought of going to Priya Spices and not to some other Indian store only because this was the closest. This will be perhaps my last visit due to the poor customer experience. So, around 2.30 I went with my husband, got few things and returned back. When we returned home, we saw the expiry date on one packet was like 3 days after. We went back to the store and told the lady about this and couple of other products( Bread the entrance had fungus almost on all ) that were expired so she started talking in a way as if she didn’t cared. The lady was so rude and didn’t have any proper reasoning to her conversation. We all understand about the current circumstances, but it’s a store that you own and you’re solely responsible for what you sell. You can’t sell expired/ about to expire products.Folks, check the packaging and the expiry date before you buy anything from here.
Small decent place with good groceries although they have very few vegetables. Good for a quick buy but not bulk purchases
This store has been closed permanently. Avoid a trip here..,
The lady at the counter is extremely rude and judgmental..had very unpleasant experience in terms of customer service.. it is a quick stop and shop option, that’s probably why the store is still running..
I went there to stock up on spices, to find out that not one single of packet of spices (either the boxed or the plastic packaged ones) had a price tag on it. So i asked the lady at the counter about it, she said to tell her what I needed and she will tell me, i said its a very long list and again, why are there no price tags? She ends with, well we dont put prices up, and alot of the times we move items around so we cant keep track of themShame on you Priya Spices.1 - does she memorize all the all the prices for every single item in the store?2 - what does moving items around the store have anything to do with pricing? I’m guessing, one location is more expensive than the other?3 - places like this change pricing as they please based on whatever they feel like I guess, which is not how business should be doneWhat a joke of a place. Never going back
I don’t like lady she always lying iff no good iteam she saying this very good that’s way i take rice bag but this rice very bad not good other items also it’s too much price also
Old products which are hazardous for consumption:Bought a haldiram paneer which turned out to be pink in color and has a weird smell in it even though the expiry date was jan 2021.I asked the store lady to replace it or atleast put a complain regarding the product, instead she started making excuses regarding store policy and even use Covid-19 as excuse.I normally used to go as its near even though its expensive then other stores, but not by compromising my health.
Came after a long time. Very disappointed. I see the price near the product but the store manager kept arguing the price has changed. Even after verifying the price as displayed on the shelf, she declined to honor it or convince it.Looks like they change the price at will.Keep an eye on the prices
The Lady at the counter is very rude and totally disgraceful she is i think having problem with all the customers as far as i seen her.All people are going this place as a last minute shop .. their all the stuffs are always near to expiry and very old stuff...Never buy any sweets from this place its always not fresh
Its a small store with selected stock of Indian groceries. The vegetables are not fresh and the prices seemed to jacked up for some reason. I would consider it to be more of a convenience store.
A tiny place, but good enough collection. Saves commute time going to bigger indian stores.
Friends, I know this place is easy access for Indian stuff. But, please check the expiry dates where ever possible because I experienced 2 times, they are selling very old stuff. Even I came to know that they are charging more on each and individual items and higher state tax on grocery items. We are going to stop buying things from this Store.
Nice neighbour hood indian grocery. The store is compact, but they have all the stuff you need. Lot of bhakti items available. The samosa and sweets are good.
Very nice and helpful staff, she listened and answered my questions over the phone... what wanted they don’t had the product, and she saved me time, now I don’t have to drive down there for nothingThanksMir
Pretty small shop, so didnt have much option and I felt its expensive
I went to this store for some fresh sweets. I bought some fresh made sweets after that I opened the pack and taste them. Those are like 6 months back stuff and price is too high 1 piece per 1$. Plz dont go that store for sweets and store owner is too rude. Dont go guys
My friends wife Rita recommended this place smells great...
Good place for Indian groceries, can get special items for festivals like mango leaves, neem flowers, etc.
Decent sized Indian store for quick grocery purchases
Most of the items dont have price display .you will be shocked after seeing you bill it is expensive for some items the billed price is higher than display price .I will never come back .
You find most of the Indian spices here. They have a very good somasa which will get over by 6-7.
Very bad experience.i was charged for what i havent bought. When i asked them on my next visit her response was very rude.better check your bill before exiting.
I had a shocking experience. I am a regular customer there and as usual I bought my favourite snacks from that store.when I went home I realised that the lady who works there billed me for 2 snack items but one of them was missing from my bag. I called up the store and inquired with the lady but she claimed that she gave that particular item to her co-worker to put it in the bag but the co worker had denied saying that he was handed over only one packet and not two.She then said that she herself put it in the item. She refused to admit her mistake. She knew she was wrong. It was a blame game costing the customer.
Pricy and moreover a mean disgraceful lady at the counter.
As everyone else described, The STAFF is EXTREMELY RUDE AND PATHETIC! They will SHOUT on YOU for no reason! Extremely un-professional and UNETHICAL.The icing on the cake is that they are probably one of Virginias most EXPENSIVE INDIAN STORE with absolutely NO VARIETIES to offer. You are much better off to other stores in vicinity if you can drive a bit.It is worth and definitely will save your day from spoiling with these ABSURD PPL.There are NO PRICE LABELS on anything and when you go ask them they will SHOUT!I really hope someone from the store reads and heeds! The Staff needs to change! Either THEM or US(CUSTOMERS)!
Very rude sales lady and no options to choose from. Very expensive indeed.
Good for quick in and out, however the prices are not on items they sell and they also dont provide a printed receipt.
Great selection of spices for such a small store.
Decent Indian store
Ok place, pricy
The lady is Worst way of handling with costumers and way of behavior. Bad bad bad very bad....
Ugggh. Unclean. Visit only if you have an emergency
Very bad experience. I have been there once only. The store smells bad and they sold me expired spices..
Prices are too high compared to other stores and worst maintainance.
Great spot to grab some spice!
One of Indian shop near to Herndon and Reston, but employees are rude and not friendly to customers and space is very less and difficult to do shopping .
