Called them about a BMW they had on Facebook marketplace. They said a few minor scratched that should buff out. Went to look at it. Trash. Car had been keyed through the paint. Dents everywhere. Dishonest dealership selling auction trash. Avoid at all costs.

I couldnt answer anything about the car. their mechanic was unable to speak English and the person they had to translate wasnt able to. After having my credit check done they added additional fees to beef up the total sale after theyd already given me an estimate. Buyer beware.

The First car I bought, I bought is from a place that were all about the money and their staff were very disrespectful, unfortunately I needed a car ASAP. This time,I was recommended by a few friends who had bought their cars from Franklin Motors, and Was not disappointed. The service was nice and the variety of cars made it hard for me to choose. With that said, the way I was taken care of was very professional and respectful. Highly recommend this place!

Terrible experience. I bought a F150 2007. 129000 mile . I went for a test ride with the very nice sales women and the car Immediately begin to shake and cut off. Steam also start to come from the engine . After opening up the Hood . Wed noticed that it holds came off, so no big problem. I came back to drive the car again The car had no gas in it. When we got gass in the car the car began to shake again . They said they would look at it and fix the problem. When i came back they said it was a spark plug and that they had fixed it. I drove the car for a day no problem. When i say drive i actually drove it to my house 5 miles away and parked it for days. When i went to drive it 2 days later the truck began to shake again. I call Franklin and spoke to the owner. He stated that they arent going to fix it again. I could buy the parts and pay for the labor. I then decided to no longer deal with Franklin Automotive. The owner is a liar and a crook. An absolute scam artist. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. He took my money and left me unsatisfied.

I recently purchased an 06 Acura MDX from Franklin Motors in Hartford. After searching for cars for about 6 months, I stopped in and looked at the car. I was satisfied with their selection. They mainly carry high end used cars, but a huge variety for a small dealership.The vehicle I bought had 1 owner and had the entire service record with the vehicle. The few things that needed to be addressed were taken care of by Franklin Motors. The owner Rocky was very accommodating and helpful.I had originally emailed them to look at the vehicle and within minutes Paul the finance manager contacted me. Both Rocky and Paul were a pleasure to work with. I am an out-of-state resident and they took care of registering the vehicle for me. The price on the vehicle was fair, and the miles were lower than at other dealerships.I have purchased used cars before without satisfaction and I can say this was by far the easiest and most comfortable transaction yet. I would strongly recommend Franklin Motors to my friends, family and co-workers. They dont pressure you into a vehicle and they are really good at accommodating any questions or concerns you have about the vehicle.Best experience Ive had purchasing a car by far.UPDATE: After having known issues with the car after purchase. I tried calling the owner to get my car in the shop to fix a few things. (obviously at my own cost). I ended up never hearing anything from him, luckily for me I was able to do it myself and saved $600 doing it myself. Only complaint from this business is my car was dirty inside and out after purchase and the things that were wrong with it that needed to be fixed seemed like an issue for the owner, like he didnt want me to have them fixed like it was wasting his time. So for those reasons I can give this place 3 stars. I understand the neighborhood isnt that great, and a lot of street people are walking around, but dont treat all your customers like the typical Hartford piece of garbage.

Went in to look at a car that I was highly interested in buying. Cargurus was showing an accident on the vehicle and like any potential buyer of a used car, I wanted more details on the accident. I asked for the carfax on the vehicle and was told that it costs $30 to print out a carfax and it would be a waste of time and money if they printed it, and I wasnt approved for the car. They would only give me the carfax if I was approved first, I laughed. Never have I heard of any dealership wanting to give a carfax only if an individual was approved as to not waste money nor time. Wouldnt it occur to the dealership that maybe $30 isnt a waste of money, especially when other buyers will be asking about the same exact thing when looking at a used car, especially when theres much more money to be gained. Ive been to 4 dealerships in the past week and not one of them had a problem with handing over a carfax, apparently it was worth much more to the other 4 to actually sell the car then safeguard a $30 peice of paper. Im not saying to completley avoid this dealership as other reviewers seem to favor this place and I encountered some nice sales people. But any dealership that thinks its a waste of money to show a vehicles report isnt worth my time. Thought I might share with other individuals to be wary when asking for important documentation at this dealership. Always ask for the history report before purchasing your used car, and you definatley dont need to get approved first.

Was interested in a vehicle there and never received a call back

I put down a deposit on a Honda Accord, but when I had it checked out by a mechanic, it had nearly $4000 worth of problems and maintenance. Needless to say, I didnt but the car, but Franklin Auto refused to return my deposit.
