I was referred to Burhans from a reliable source and connected with Sam about my repair dilemma; I have an Audi A-3 that had been sitting for some time and needed diagnosis and repair which I was unable to address due to recent unemployment. I was fearful the motor was gone. But Sam graciously, patiently worked with me discussing a plan for repair understanding my situation. The repair required would get the car running safely again without unnecessarily spending a million bucks!! Still need tires but they did not push it on me they put the good ones in front not so good in the back and my car runs perfect as before it would shake at high speeds. I will be back soon for tires! Needed a new water pump and called multiple places around Hagerstown. I had gotten several estimates ranging in prices, one almost $400 higher than Burhans! I had never been here before but I am so happy that I called. They were extremely kind and fair. My car runs beautifully again. I was having car troubles (check engine light was on) this past Saturday and called them to see if they could check my car to be sure it would be safe to drive home to Virginia. They quickly fit me in, diagnosed the problem and let me know that it would be okay to drive it home to be taken to get repaired. They didn’t charge me for it and I appreciate what they did so much as I was very worried that I would not be able to make it home. I would definitely take my car here always if I lived in the area! I wish them nothing but the best.

Completely fair for the work that needs done, Im a personal mechanic myself and do all my own work however we even need help or dont have the time and or equipment to get the job done. In my case I needed some exhaust work/ correction done on my car, I hit them up and brought it in to look everything over, we determined what I needed, I ordered necessary parts, brought it back a few days later and it was taken care of at a fair price and my issue was fixed. Ive recommended a quite a few people go here for work and have heard nothing but positivity from them all. So if you need your cars serviced, big or small jobs I dont think theres really anything they cant work on and fix for the right price. A+ service in my eyes and they handle your vehicles with great care! Anytime I need something done that I cant do or dont have time for I wont hesitate again. Awesome service again and again. Honesty is unmatched. Sam (and his son) is very friendly and have always provided guaranteed service at best price. Initially I was a skeptical and was comparing the prices and within couple repair jobs, he won me over as a customer. Its not a fancy place serving hot coffee while you wait or a fancy loaner vehicles, but I trust him with all my vehicles and he redid a repair job without any complaint or charge.

This place was recommended to me by a friend 2 years ago, I’ve been taking my car there ever since. Very nice family, the owner is super knowledgeable, and prices are fair and reasonable.

I will never go anywhere else for my automobile needs. It is a family run business and they could not have been more helpful. I know very little about cars, and had unfortunately hopped a curb resulting in a blown tire. I honestly thought I had done far more damage due to the sounds my car was making while driving with the spare. When they finished repairing my car and came out and told me that everything else was fine, I was elated! Some other places could have told me I needed an alignment done or a number of other things, and I wouldve known no better. But they were honest and extremely fair in pricing. I called the three other places before deciding on Burhans Auto, and they all were between $15 and $30 more expensive. I would recommend them to anyone!

This is a great car shop. I trust them with providing excellent service. I have had my 2008 Subaru WRX and 2006 Honda Civic Si serviced here. Prices are very fair and turn around time is good. I highly recommend this shop.

I had my oil changed here a week ago, and the owner, Sam, was very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. He suggested to also change my air filter to get better mileage. And it wasnt like he was trying to get over on me like most places. It was an honest and much needed observation. He even brought the old filter out so that I could see it and decide without any pressure. Sam had an answer for every question as well as options. I will be returning for more repairs soon. I recommend this place.

Can’t remember the owners name but I’m pretty sure he’s the one who worked on myChallenger he did a great job very professional very helpful fair price. I got the feeling this was I shop I can go to and trust.

I needed a tire patched last minute and these guys were honestly such gems!Id first tried Mr. Tire around the corner and after initially ignoring me, the guy helping me turned me away pretty rudely, stating they were busy and unless I wanted to leave my car there all night Id need an appointment. Granted, having to make an appointment isnt atypical and I probably shouldve done, but this was an emergency and I still feel like he could have relayed his point a bit more nicely. I was quoted a starting price of $34.So I drove to Burhans and the lovely guys there (its family run) literally stopped mid dinner to help me. The entire process - from entering the store to leaving with a freshly patched tire - took no more than about 10 minutes and the best part is that it only cost $15! Though I tried to leave some sort of tip, the owner refused and wouldnt budge. I dont often leave reviews, but these guys are just so very kind, honest and hard working, so Id love to help them get more business. Definitely pay them a visit if you have any automotive needs! :)

Sam is amazing. Very honest. Dont base your thoughts of this place on experiences you have heard from people buying cars from them - I dont know what Sam had to do with the car sales part (they no longer sell cars), but as a mechanic, I trust him 100%. He services all 4 of our cars and he has ALWAYS been cheaper than anyone else and always does a fantastic job, and has my car back quickly. I would recommend him to anyone!
