I went to them with a pretty simple issue with my exhaust system. They couldnt even identify the problem, which was obvious. All said and done, they did absolutely nothing and I had the privilege of paying them $90.00 for putting my truck on a lift and doing nothing. I wish I had something positive to say, but I feel like I was basically screwed.

Ok First I want to say Im old as dirt and have been dealing with Pope Tire since I was in my 20s. I have never been disappointed.Recently I bought a truck off a lot and was having a issue with it shaking. I took it back to the lot and the tires were not balanced properly. They wanted to charge me $330 to fix something that should of been fixed before it was sold!I called Pope Tire and they said We gotcha, bring it in, I brought it right in and they had my truck all fixed up and ready to roll in 30 mins.This will always be my go to place!Thanks Pope Tire!

Its very sad when I posted my bad experience with Dual Highway Pope Tires on Facebook, I couldnt believe how my people chimed in with similar bad experiences. Im still fairly new to Hagerstown, MD and wish I would have known these horror stories before I started doing business with them. They dont have to ever worry about me going back. Id rather pay more at the dealership and have a guaranteed warranty than basically work from a backyard mechanic with no guarantee.Monday 21st June was a nightmare at Pope tires because of the below review management and the mechanic was extremely unprofessional.The management didnt have any professional characteristics, it was beyond ratchet, definitely didnt set an example as a professional in a popular business. I couldnt get a word in, through vulgar words and as a paying customer, I was locked out of the establishment.The customer rep came out of the side door and said Im not sure why I was told to bring you the key, I said the situation became very indignant and unprofessional in the bay area.A polite customer rep apologized over and over, I told her it not your fault. She thanked me with a sad look on her face. She was always courteous, polite and professional each time I visit, Im so sorry that some family owned businesses dont have proper customer service skills.Ive been a regular customer at Pope Tires on Dual Highway in Hagerstown, MD, up to this point they only did oil changes; however, this was the first major job they supposedly did on my truck. Im very disappointedI was charged almost $700.00 when I took my SUV to have my brakes checked, the mechanic said that I needed new rotors and brakes all around, If I hadnt taken my truck to the dealership for an all points service, I wouldnt have known that my rotors and brakes were never changed.When I took my car to the Nissan Dealership for service, they told me that I needed rotors and brakes in the rear, I reached out to Pope tires and they were supposed to correct what wasnt fixed, well they changed the back but not the front rotors. I had a mechanic check the front and he said that the front brakes were turned but not changedIm very disappointed at how some mechanics get over on women who put their trust in the mechanics hands.The pictures below are supposedly of my new front rotors put on in March.Thanks very dissatisfied customer Teresa

First time I needed tires put on my van. Everything went smoothly. Last Monday I had 2 more tires put on and an oil change. I noticed that my reminder sticker said I needed another oil change at 166,218 miles and my car was at 136,218. Ok no big deal someone cant do math and added 30,000 miles instead of 3,000 but I know better. So Saturday morning I left for work and my husband noticed oil in our previously perfectly clean driveway. He stopped by the shop to let them know something isnt right. They were really nice and said to bring the car back by 3 because they close. Well I was already working in Frederick until at least 4 so I couldnt come in and they were going to be closed the next day. My husband drove all the way to Frederick to exchange cars and when he got back to the shop the lady at the front seemed overwhelmed and was extremely rude. They told him it was a loose cap and offered no apology. Terrible customer service. If my husband hadnt noticed my van could have easily lost all the oil and killed my engine. This is my 3rd incompetent mechanic Ive been to in Hagerstown, first being NTB who overcharges and did unnecessary work, the other is Eddies tires who put a slash in my tire that I wanted mounted. If I cant find someone I can trust I will have to drive down to Rockville to my old mechanic.

Today, you guys were a single mothers saving grace! I woke up to a nail in my tire and work a typical 8-4 job. In a scramble ran in to some problems and arrived at your site just as you were closing. Your technician John was AMAZING and offered to bring my car inside quickly to repair the tire while me and my 3 year old waited. The staff were all SUPER kind and understanding even after a hundred apologies. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart! I will be sure to send friends your way!

I have used them for years. Service is great,Prices are good basically a few dollars more that tire rack but with none of the headache. Definitely worth the $20-35 difference to not have to wait for a shipment and then load them up and take to a tire shop. Plus I believe in buying local. This place employs many of our neighbors and their families need to eat to.

We took a vehicle to be inspected. We already knew exactly what was wrong with it and just wanted to find a local place to inspect and repair. We were given a list of about 20 reasons it didnt pass. We immediately left. Went to another shop. Got it reinspected and got the one issue fixed. This shopis just trying to rip you off. Do not trust the.!

I purchased new tires for my Honda Accord. I drive. A lot. So, Im really picky about tires. I purchased the Cooper CS3 touring tires and was pleasantly surprised. I have a smoother ride and the tires are light but responsive on the road. Both of which come in handy for those road gators on the interstate and avoiding the car thats parked halfway in the road since they just got a flat. The tires handle rain really well too. Daniel explained to me what to expect from these tires and he was correct!! He had also told me that my mileage would increase by a mile and he was correct. It was only one but Ill take it!!I highly recommend Pope tire!! I love the personal service and the prices are reasonable. They also did one of the best tire balance, rotation and alignment that Ive had on my car. I drive 128 miles a day and currently have 165,000 on my car, so I think I have enough experience to say this with confidence.If you havent given Pope Tire your business, you should give them a try!!

We just moved to the area and Im confident weve found a trustworthy place to take our cars for service. I just bought tires there and worked with Daniel through the process. Daniel is clearly willing to go the extra mile. It was refreshing to see someone invested in and proud of their job and workplace. This is my second time here, I am pleased with their service. They are professional and have great customer service. They try to get you in and out in timely manner. There is not enough space for me to write everything Id like to say about these people! How someone can lie right to my face knowing it would be a hardship to get all the repairs they wanted to do!!! Half of what they said I needed I didnt even need!! Stay away from this place. Far far away!. Thank God I found a honest garage in town!! 3 weeks of sadness not knowing what to do!! My Dad and I went to pope tires this past Saturday. We were greeting by Daniel who shows us new tires and went over the prices. Their service was fast and professional. We were treated very well and was in and out in a short time. My Dad and Jeff the owner have known each other for 20 years or more so it was nice for them to catch up. The two gentlemen that did the mechanical work was fast and professional as well.

Ive been doing business with them for many years. Never had a problem. Ive bought, probably a dozen sets of 4 new tires from them over the years as well as having 5 different used vehicles inspected. I normally do all of my own repair work. He has never failed an inspection for something that it didnt need. Repair prices are always honest and he always does a good job.

I had 4 used tires installed on my truck at their new Bower Avenue location. They were quick, helpful and the price was right. The used tires they sold me practically had the tread of new tires! I will definitely return here for my future tire needs! An easy 5 stars.A word of caution, this Pope Tire location does NOT have a coat hanger in their mens bathroom. What gives? Do we live in the Sahara where jackets are unheard of? What am I to do, poop with a jacket on? Like some animal? NO. I suggest Pope Tire install coat hangers in their bathrooms or I will be FORCED to change my review to 4.9 stars.

Had two used tires placed on my vehicle 10/14/2017. With further inspection while trying to replace breaks on my vehicle we noticed that Pope tire had stripped all 5 of my lug nuts. Called Pope tire explaining this, they even admitted guilt at time of having my tires replaced. I just didnt realize the extent until further inspection.Went back on 11/11/2017. Waited for about 15 mins to even be acknowledged. Once acknowledged was told to bring my car into garage. Mechanic told us that basically the lug nuts were not stripped we just needed to peel the chrome back off the lug nuts themselves to EVEN GET THE TIRE OFF! The picture shown is what the mechanic (or whatever he is) proceeded to do with a SCREWDRIVER AND HAMMER!When confronted I said so this is really not how you proceed to take off a tire he got upset and said he was done helping us. He told us to speak to the girl in the office. She rudely came out of the office with a mouth full of candy and said so like, what do you want before I could even speak she got pissed went over to the garage door open and basically told us to leave. Which we did with zero resolution. We were treated like garbage. How they instantly got confrontational was pretty much what I expected considering the area itself.What they dont know is that I have never wrote a review in my life. I have never even been into a restaurant and complained about food or service. I have worked in customer service for a long time. So I try and treat people with respect. I wanted the issue to be resolved and for me to be able to get my tire off. The result is that now I had to stripped the chrome off all five lug nuts and purchase a different size socket to even be able to get the tire off.I currently took time out of my day and submitted a complaint with the BBB. Please be aware, if you can help it take your money and time somewhere else. The girl in the office with the dark hair that has the desk in behind the front desk was literally one of the rudest people I have ever came across.

Busy but very friendly personal

NEVER get an alignment here. They refused to acknowledge despite emails and run around phone calls, any wrongdoing. I purchased 4 new tires, in 4 months the front only were bald on the inside. Funny, my last set wasnt, until the mechanic swore it was needed I had no uneven wear. The front only was aligned, and only the front was bald. Before even looking at them the Secretary or whomever denied any fault, claiming it was rubbing my wheel well. Not even plausible. Normally they are great in a pinch for a tire, all else, please save yourself frustration. Go elsewhere for your money, bonebrake is best. It has been months with no reply from my emails to pope after several aggravating phone calls.

Visited the new location. Spoke w/ Daniel. Fast friendly, and made me feel very comfortable about my 1st time buying tires. Unfortunately I need more work done, however this is a wonderful place. Ill stick with it too. See yall soon

I went there for state inspection for my 2016 Honda Civic. They got it done in less than 30 min. The staff were very helpful, professional, and understanding. I highly recommend this place to all UBER drivers. The two ladies on the front desk were really sweet as well. Ill definitely go there whenever I need inspection

Went in to replace a flat. And got another tire replaced as well. I asked to keep the tire that I wanted replaced and they put it in my trunk. However, when I took it out, the rim was off the actual tire . That was pretty annoying . Also, when I went in there the two ladies with the highlighted hair were SO rude! By far the WORST customer service. Short, careless and rolled their eyes quite a few times . I would never go back . Way better services in the area.

Fixing the brakes right now on our ford Taurus wagon, fast, friendly, efficient and reasonable. Cant ask for better, have had numerous tires repaired, and purchased from them, and they did a great inspection on a truck I purchased and fixed what was needed to pass. Not only no complaints but only kudos and well done for service and products and friendly and personal service.

I came to pope tire to get an alignment because my truck was pulling really bad the mechanic and the owner took me to the back were my truck was on the lift and showed me that my ball joints and tie rods were about to FALL OFF, I didnt like that i could not watch them work on my truck but they said its for legal reasons in case I were to get hurt so i get that but they found and fixed the problem for a reasonable price this place is very professional and they know what there doing all the work was done fast and done right. VERY SATISFIED I highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

These guys are awesome! We were on our way to Martinsburg, WV from Cincinnati, OH to visit family for the weekend. Near Washington, PA a truck in Front of us lost something and we could not avoid hitting it. Took out both passenger side tires and wheels. Called AS A and used our 200 mike tow to get us as close to our final destination as possible. After a quick Google search we found Pope Tire. AS A was awesome and got us to Pope by about 10pm. We left the car out front and planned to come back the next morning when they opened. When we arrived Daniel met us in the parking lot to help us. He had already looked at the car and had a plan. Daniel and Jeff Pope were our saviors. They got us two new tires and fixed our wheels to get us on the road in about 2.5 hrs. Thus was on Memorial Day weekend! These guys are great. I wish they were closer to home so we could use them for all of our tire and auto needs. Daniel even offered to let us use his personal vehicle to go get breakfast while we waited. Cant say thank you enough to them. Prices were amazing too! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Stay away from these guys. They diagnosed my car completely wrong. Also, I took my mercedes in and they popped the air bag of the air suspension by putting it wrong on the lift, called the manager and he said “well, nothing I can do about it.” Dont bring your car to this place.

A used tire (which I was not inquiring about, the woman who picked up the phone assumed) is $70 bucks. USED!! Walmart brand new lowest quality (which may be equivalent to a used to is $70...... Why am I taking used anything over brand new? That is outrageous! Walmart here I come.....

I enjoied their sweet receptionist. Beautiful smiles. But 1 of them got me a speeding ticket in a school zone. I had to pay a $190 ticket. I wont be back for service. Would have rated 3☆ But The reason i like my ☆ back is because theres never an excuse to be speeding in a school zone Never

They were nice until I went and bought used tires. Well I trusted them & didnt look too closely at the tires I didnt think they were such horrid people that would sell me tires that are just as bad as the ones that I have on my jeep already that I have on my car that blew out in the first place. Walmart is the mechanics are the ones who caught it while checking over the tires to mount them and they said we cannot allow you to put these tires on your jeep. They are horrible and that I needed to bring them back and get my money back. I am so disappointed in them I wouldnt even give them 1 star if I didnt have too.

Poor service. I took my car here for an inspection and there was nothing wrong with it when i took it in. As soon as i left, not even 2 hours later my car started making funny noises. Then the very next day it broke down . DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY WILL SCREW YOU IN THE END, LITTERALY. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎. Im serious. They have me in a messed up situation. They need to be put out of business to be honest with everyone.

I would give these people no stars if I could. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM! We dropped our car of on a Saturday for inspection and it still wasnt done by Thursday the next week. The woman who answers the phone yells and screams at you just for asking when your car is going to be ready. The guy who does the inspections is also the only tow truck driver and he leaves early every day or is always too busy towing to do the inspections. They also recharge you to take your vehicle back through inspection if it fails the first or second time. No other company I have went to for inspection does this. Please save yourself the trouble and money and go somewhere else.

Terrible service, the woman at the front desk didnt greet me at all when I came in and helped someone else who came in after me and acted like I didnt exist until I walked back in after smoking a cig, the only reason Im going through with the service is because Im already here. Too soon to say if I would come back, hopefully the repair is worth it.

Very quick service

I brought 2 brake lines off of my 2002 dodge dakota in to Pope ave to have new ones made. Was told they could get them done in an hour and was quoted $129. I thought that was high for a 3 ft and 1 ft nrake line with a couple bends in them and voiced my opinion then was given a $115 quote still hogh but I needed them done and said ok. Came back in the hour she said it would take and had to wait 15 more min for this mechanic haha to bring me out two straight brake lines with two new fitting and two old rounded off fittings(off of my old ones) and was told that the brake lines bent easy enough amd that I could nend it the way I needed too. So I loudly voiced my dislike of the job he did and asked if he was serious and was told that I didnt have a $4000 machine to bend brake lines so to use my hands and if I didnt like it I could go to the dealership the sold prebent brake lines for $400. I would not take my sons power wheels to this shop for them to put stickers on it.

THEY ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND WILL MANOR

I took my car to Popes for a state inspection. I guess they thought since I was a woman that they could pull the wool over my eyes. They said the car did not pass and gave at least 10 reasons why from a broken coil spring to a leaky exhaust (the exhaust had just been replaced), and numerous other things. The estimate to fix the cost...... a whopping $1200. So I got a second opinion and the cost to fix the one problem (2 bulbs in the rear tail light)....$9.00. Their service was poor and they seem to be out to get underdogs. I have learned never to take a car to some place that does inspections and repairs. I would advise never using Pope Tire warehouse and service center
