The place seemed cozy. Its definitely the kind of place Id like to sit and write. The problem that there was absolutely noone on the coffee side. Not even a barista. I waited for about 5 minutes and began looking for a bell or something to notify someone I was there. I thought they were closed and as I was walking to the door, a lady from the pizza side came and asked what I wanted. She said someone would be out soon. A few seconds later a nice gentleman came running in from the other side. They were both nice and the gentleman was very sweet. I think he may have been new though. He was shaking and seemed a little frazzled. I ordered a medium decaf breve and I basically got a cup of steamed half and half. I actually watched him poor only half of the espresso shot in. I just thought he poured the other one when I wasnt looking. Its only about a 5 minute walk so the cup was still hot when I got home. I took the lid off to mix it and there was some type of slime or something on top. (I think he steamed the half and half too long.) I tried mixing it but that didnt work and you could see the slime on the plastic knife I used. I attached a picture of it so you can see the slime and how little espresso was actually in it. Next time, Ill just drive the extra 10 minutes to Liquid Highway!

Fiance and I visited here for the first time. I ordered a Ice Coffe (Hazelnut) I notice it was pumpkin spice! Im not a pumpkin spice flavor person AT ALL not my flavor what so ever. Hubby ordered Hot Coffee regular, he was given Hot Chocolate. We were very disappointed especially for this to be our first time. BUMMER

Excellent service! I stopped in before lunch this past weekend and had what they call The Beast, a cup of coffee with two shots of espresso. It was delicious! Pair that with a slice of their homemade peanut butter pie, and you have yourself a wonderful Sunday afternoon! I will certainly be back!

Really nice employees and good location in Greenville. Not quite what I was expecting from a coffee shop downtown meaning it didn’t have a solid hangout/study vibe. It was more of an extension of the pizza place next door. It’d be great if they got some couches/ chairs/ rugs like their Coffee Underground location on Main ( which is awesome )

A perfect place to study; I am new to the area and have definitely found my spot. The proprietor, Jarvis I believe, was polite and made me an excellent chai latte. The space is clean and has good music. I will be back for pizza and gelato as well.

4 stars because the iced coffee tastes great and the cinnamon scones are absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant enough, but Id love to see art of some kind to add to the character. Staff gives okay sevice, yet they are not overly friendly which is why I didnt give a 5 star rating.

Why aren’t you open when you’re supposed to be open? Handwritten note on the door AND your answering machine give your hours “during these trying times” and yet you’re not open 2 hours after you’re supposed to be on a Saturday afternoon? I’m disappointed. I won’t be back and I won’t be recommending this establishment.

I met a friend and her 6 month old son here today for an afternoon coffee date... just to set the tone please keep in mind including the two of us there were only two others in the coffee shop (both with headphones on).My friends baby was making typical baby noises, not crying, not hungry, not sleepy and certainly not loud. We kept hearing “shhhhhhhhhhhhh” from behind the counter and when we looked over a woman that works there said “We are trying to work here” (she was simply drying dishes. My friend looked at me then back at her in shock and the lady replied “don’t give me the evil eye”. Five minutes later the women proceeded to ask the other two individuals if the baby was bothering them, they literally had to take their earbuds out to hear the women’s question. They both replied NO and she said “well it’s a little out of control”Guys this baby wasn’t loud!!! This is a public place at 2pm in the afternoon. If it was really bothering the woman working there at least come and address us instead of making your extremely rude comments and actions. Will NOT go back! This isn’t what a coffee shop should be OR what locals supporting other locals should be about. I’m still in shock!!!

My first experience at Coffee on Stone was pleasant enough; they have decent coffee drinks and lots of tables to spread out and work. However, today I had a more negative experience. I came planning to grab a coffee and get some work done. After ordering and taking my seat, I asked for the Wifi code (last time I was given a sheet of paper with the password). The barista said that she wasnt sure about it and would have to check. Shes gone for 5 minutes or so, and then comes back up to the front, but doesnt say anything else to me. Another 5 or 10 minutes later, I hear her tell another customer that shes having to check with her boss about getting more wifi codes. Fast forward 30 more minutes and the barista announces that they have no more wifi codes for the day. I feel like this was all just a very strange situation for a coffee shop, where I assume people are regularly coming in to grab a cup of coffee and do work. Im disappointed that I paid $5 for a coffee and then didnt have access to the wifi as a paying customer. If there are issues with the internet, I feel that it would be respectful to at least let customers know up front, especially if they are coming in with bookbags clearly to get on their computers.

Never been treated so horribly in a public place!!! Rude OWNER that talked bad about me to other people in the restaurant while I was sitting there! I had my 6 mo old baby with me at 2pm in the afternoon, and as a paying customer was enjoying my coffee with my friend and baby. My baby was happily making some squeals and gooing sounds, not crying at all. The owner, Dana Lowie, behind the bar (mind you there was 2 other people in there, total of 4 people), kept muttering loudly “this is a business, we’re trying to work here” looking straight at me while she was washing dishes. I looked back confused bc my baby was being an angel and there wasn’t a sign that said “no children allowed”. She said it again, louder. I stared at her not happy, like really? And Dana, the OWNER, said loudly “don’t give me the evil eye!” Other people heard and looked around. Then she keeps giving me the evil eye as my baby is gooing and gahing. Not disturbing the 2 people in there with headphones on. It’s a public place and I’m a paying customer. Then, the last straw, she starts going around asking the other customers (2 of them) if my baby was annoying them. As I’m sitting right there behind her. Mind is blown. Never been treated so horribly in a public place ever, let alone by the owner!DO NOT GO HERE and give them business! They hate babies and families. Horrible business and customer service. Cannot believe that happened still, my mind is blown. I will be telling all my friends and social review outlets
